What the teacher does under this theory
 The very idea of constructivism is that
  knowledge cannot be handed from one
  person to another (aka from teacher to
  student), so teachers must develop
  interesting techniques under this theory.
 Teachers must first gauge student’s prior
  knowledge and understanding of a
  subject. Then carefully orchestrate clues,
  ask penetrating questions, and lead
  instructional activities that help extend
  student’s insight. This process is known
  as scaffolding, helping students learn
  using the building blocks of knowledge
  they already obtain.
What the teacher does under this theory
(Continued)
 This theory is perfect for technology integration in the
  classroom. In order to learn new skills in technology (ex.
  how to make a PowerPoint slideshow, create a newsletter,
  make a flowchart) we must use our prior knowledge of
  computers (ex. typing skills, Microsoft Word skills, etc).
    Teachers can create online assignments for students to
     complete and explore on their own, like a web scavenger hunt.
    Project-based learning is also key to this theory. Students may
     work together on online assignments, helping one another
     with the technology skill sets they already possess.
