Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Unlike electrical and computer engineers, computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems; this includes their theory, design, development, and application.
3. Introduction
A computer is an electronic device
that manipulates information, or
data.
It has the ability to store, retrieve,
and process data.
Processed data obtain from
computer known as information.
4. History of computer
In the early 1820s, it was designed by Charles
Babbage who is known as “Father of Modern
Computer”.
It was a mechanical computer which could
perform simple calculations.
It was a steam driven calculating machine
designed to solve tables of numbers like
logarithm tables.
5. Generations of computer
1. First generation (1946-1959)
2. Second generation(1959-1965)
3. Third generation
4. Fourth generation(1971-1980)
5. Fifth generation(1980-till now)
15. Hardware
Hardware is any part of your computer that has
a physical structure, such as the keyboard or
mouse.
It also includes all of the computer’s internal
parts.
16. Software
Software is any set of instructions that
tells the hardware what to do and how
to do it.
Examples of software include web
browsers, games, and word
processors.
