Color is produced when light reflects off an object into the eye. There are three properties of color: hue (name of color), intensity (strength/vividness), and value (lightness/darkness). Sir Isaac Newton discovered the first color wheel, known as the spectrum, in 1670 through separating visible light into different color bands. The color wheel organizes colors by their relationships when mixed, with primary colors of red, yellow, and blue that can be combined to form secondary colors of orange, green, and purple, and tertiary colors mixing a primary and secondary.
Colours and its role in Interior and Architecture , its basic nature and how do they help in building more lively and positive atmosphere as it is the most inexpensive way to transform your interiors or any form of design
this power point seeks to give detail information about the elements of design, providing a wide range of visual examples. It further seeks to provide an assessment item by virtue of questions. This power point also serves in the form of lessons, in that an element and its activities may be thought for one specific class.
This presentation introduces introductory art and design students to the 5th element of art - color. The color wheel is shown and the color families are defined, as well as important color schemes. A project is outlined to get students practicing with the use of color.

For my color theory class, we had to put together a "book" that we could use to show clients the various color families and how colors can work together in various combinations.
Color is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, green, blue, and others.
Psychology is the science of the mind. The human mind is the most complex machine on earth. It is the source of all thought and behavior.
Color psychology is the study of the effect that colors have on human behavior particularly the natural instinctive feelings that each color evokes.
colors can have both positive and negative effects on our moods and feelings..

4. 1 - FIRST IS HUE
• which simply means the name we give to a
color (red, yellow, blue, etc.)
5. 2- THE SECOND PROPERTY IS
INTENSITY
• which refers to the strength and vividness of the color.
For example, we may describe the color blue as "royal"
(bright, rich, vibrant) or "dull" (grayed).
6. 3- THE THIRD AND FINAL PROPERTY
OF COLOR IS ITS VALUE
• meaning its lightness or darkness. The terms shade
and tint are in reference to value changes in colors.

15. The color wheel fits together like a puzzle - each color in a specific place. Being
familiar with the color wheel not only helps you mix colors when painting, but in
adding color to all your art creations.
16. Primary Colors
Primary colors are not mixed from other elements and they
generate all other colors.
• Red
• Yellow
• Blue
17. Secondary Colors
By mixing two primary colors, a secondary color is
created.
• Red + Yellow = Orange
• Yellow + Blue = Green
• Blue + Red = Purple
18. Tertiary Colors
Intermediate, or Tertiary, colors are created by mixing
a primary and a secondary.
•red-orange •blue-green
•yellow-orange •blue-purple
•yellow-green •red-purple
