adverting ban on tobacco in 1990, followed in 2003 by the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) to close loopholes
and further regulate tobacco adverting. This paper examines the arguments for and against these advertising bans and explores
whether or not tobacco creates a conflict of interest when governments profit from the tobacco industry.

Intro to Philosophy
The Existence of God
Thomas Aquinas was a theologian that was a priest in the 1200 s and wanted to prove that God existed. He created many books and
articles in his lifetime about God and things with the catholic religion, but, his more famous book Summa Thelogia gave five
arguments that God exists in Articles II and III they are explained in detail. Below is my understanding of what he was saying the
works of two other man that had comments on this man. Through the arguments of these three man I have came up with my own
views and created an argument based on what they have to say.
In Article II Aquinas states why people think that God doesn t exist and goes on to destroy them piece by piece. The first argument
in Article II against God states that God does not existence because it can not be demonstrated that he does in fact exist. He answers
calmly and uses examples from the Bible to help him with the answer and then he states what he thinks. Based on what he stated in
his example he went off of it and said that what he thinks. He states in Article II and I quote I reply, therefore, that God s existence,
and those other things of this nature that can be known through natural reason concerning God, as is said in Rom. I., are not articles
of faith, but preambles to these articles. (Article II). He is saying that Faith is not a given thing you have to knowledge and
understanding so that you can develop faith

Religion And Its Impact On The Church Of The 1400-1500s
Chapter 14 Unit Questions Pluralism attracted the most negative attention to the Church of the 1400 1500s because when Church
appointed officials did not show up to their benefices, leading to the lack of responsibilty of the Church officials. Immorality was
mostly neglect of the rule of celibacy, however immorality was not entirely sexual transgressions, there was also clerical
drunkenness, gambling, and indulgence in fancy dress. Ignorance was the lack of education, as many priests were barely able to
read or write. Finally, in regard to pluralism or absenteeism, many clerics had benefices, but rarely ever visited them, let alone
performed the religious duties the offices entailed, this led to the attracton of the most negative attention. Catholics believed they
would gain salvation by both faith and good works. Luther disagreed with the percepts of Catholic salvation by saying that
salvation comes by faith alone. Luther argued that women and men are saved by the arbitrary decision of God, heedless of good
works or the sacraments. Luther preached that God, not people, established salvation. The major ways in which Luther challenged
the Catholic Church included different ideas of salvation, where religious authority resides, what the church was, and what the
highest form of Christian life was. Where Catholics believed salvation was achieved by both faith and good works, Luther believed
it was gained through only faith. Christian doctrine had long maintained that

The Duty Of Any Teachers
Introduction
The duty of any teachers is first and primary to promote learning in their students. Ideally, students are then able to develop the
knowledge and skills they have learned and apply them in a novel situation. In this sense, teachers are promoting authentic learning
within their classrooms. However, due to enormous pressure to pass and get high scores in the standardized test, many teachers
have begun to employ test preparation practices that are usually not in the interest of students. These activities may include giving
extra classes to drill on test content and sometimes eliminating curriculum content not covered by the test. This kind of practice has
been noted in many countries such as Canada, Australia, England, China, Japan, and my chosen context, Indonesia. In Indonesia,
students must take a standardized test in order to graduate or continue to the higher level of education. They are tested in certain
subjects including Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mathematics and Science. English, as one of the tested subjects, is a compulsory
subject in secondary school curriculum with the main goal for communicative competence in both spoken and written. However, in
reality, there is a mismatch between the curriculum objectives and the assessment method. The test is only provided in multiple
choices format. This is another reason why teachers tend to focus more on test preparation practices rather than accomplish the
objectives of curriculum.

Odysseus And Amari And Epic Hero Journeys In The Odyssey...
Every now and then we read different stories, but we see the same things. In the Odyssey and Copper Sun, the two main characters,
Odysseus and Amari, shared the same qualities and Epic Hero journeys. They had many obstacles and tribulations, but they worked
through them to make it to their destination. Odysseus and Amari have many similarities as well as differences. When an epic hero,
like Amari and Odysseus, has the opportunity to face the unknown, or has a crisis, and has something to gain, this starts the
beginning of their journey called The Call. During this period, the heroes go through things, in their eyes, that is unimaginable or
wasn t expected. Odysseus s call was more voluntary and exciting than Amari s call because his Call was when he won the Trojan
War and could return home after ten years. Amari s Call was when she and a few others from her tribe were captured and taken as
slaves after her family was killed and her village destroyed. Odysseus had a choice but Amari did not. Before The Call , Amari and
Odysseus characteristics affected and predestined their journey. Two epic hero qualities, Noble Birth and Cultural Legend, set up
Amari and Odysseus path. Odysseus Noble Birth quality was that he was the son of Laertes, a hero, and his Cultural Legend was
being a war hero and the King of Ithaca. Amari s Noble Birth quality was that her family was considered royalty because her father
was an elder of her tribe, Ewe, he was a favored storyteller, and her family was skilled weavers. Her Cultural Legend couldn t be
fulfilled because she was to inherit the family business of weaving. Although Amari didn t become a Cultural Legend, they both
had purpose due to their family s high rank in their culture. The next stage in an epic hero s journey is The Threshold. This is where
the hero takes off and meets helpers and mentors along the way. Odysseus threshold was when Zeus guards and guides him,
blessing him or punishing him for his actions. Amari s Threshold was when she got on the slave ships to sail to America, meeting a
mentor named Afi, who encourages her and helps her through their long journey across the seas. She also meets a man named Bill
who helped her escape nights from abuse and

By observation, the freezing point is determined to be 80.5oC.
In comparison to the pre lab data,

It is suspected that the freezing point is 64.1oC. Due to the short temperature plateau, It is difficult to determine if the freezing point
occurs at during the interval (6:00 6:10). However, it appears to be have been the most reasonable determination for freezing point
in comparison to the rest of the plot.
Mixture 4
By observation, the freezing point of this mixture is 51.6oC.
Mixture 5
Due to the lengthy plateau, the freezing point is determined to be 69.1 oC.
