Difference Between Knowledge And Shared Knowledge
The knowledge system of a society can be divided into two bodies of knowledge, shared and
personal knowledge. Shared knowledge is a knowledge that shared and group of individuals it is
also continually being contributed creating new forms of knowledge. While personal knowledge is
knowledge that someone gains through the own experiences and research. Now in the natural
sciences a scientist can further their personal knowledge through shared knowledge in how they
can learn and further improve their experiments by learning from those who have performed
similar ones. Now there are other instances such as with history. When you use primary sources,
you are using personal knowledge firsthand accounts of an event. Personal knowledge is then
shared to provide collective knowledge demonstrating that through personal knowledge one can
further shared knowledge and vice versa. This all leads to the question How does the interaction
between shared and personal knowledge allow for human progress? In history, there have been
instances in which an individual s own personal knowledge has been completely rejected to
preserve the current shared knowledge. Moments in history such as when martin Lutherwrote his
ninety five theses Luther penned a document attacking the Catholic Church s corrupt practice of
selling indulgences to absolve sin. His 95 Theses, (ap achiver). Which propounded two central
beliefs that the Bible is the central religious authority and that humans may reach

Similarities Between Blurred Lines And Marvin Gaye
Blurred Lines and Marvin Gaye In 2013, the song Blurred Lines was released by Robin Thicke.
The song was a huge number one hit in America. However, many individuals felt that Blurred
Lines eerily resembled the song Got to Give it Up by Marvin Gaye. The similarities between the
two songs eventually brought about a lawsuit amongst Robin Thicke, along with Pharrell Williams,
and Marvin Gayes family. When the case was taken to court, the jury determined that Robin
Thicke and Pharrell Williams had in fact committed an act of plagiarism. The case granted Marvin
Gaye s children a large sum of cash due to the money earned from Blurred Lines , and the artists
associated with the song, Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. Robin Thicke s lawyers

Context Of Classroom And Research Questions Essay
Context of Classroom and Research Questions
Learning the four stages of action research will help plan for an appropriate project. They are the
planning, acting, developing and reflecting stages (Mertler, 2014). Mertler said that action
research is characterized as research that is done by teachers for themselves ( Mertler, 2014, p. 4).
Obtaining information that is authentic and trustworthy using the scientific method seems to be a
useful strategy for solving problems in one s class. I like this approach since I am a science teacher.
Background
I have started my 21st year of teaching. I have taught at Science Hill High School (SHHS) in
Johnson City, TN for the last 14 years. Each year there I have taught Honors 9th grade Biology
and the last two years I have added 10th grade college prep (CP) Biology. This school is the only
city high school in town. The population of SHHS is 2,201. I found that the population was 86%
white, 12.4% black, 7% Hispanic, 3% Asian, and the other 2% were a combination of American
Indian, Alaska Native, or a combination of two or more races (U.S. Department of Education,
2016). The state of Tennessee has a 17.6% poverty rate (Population Reference Bureau, 2014). I
teach the students for half of the year in a block class of an hour and a half each day.
First Steps
The first step of the Action research process guide is to identify the nagging problem or dilemma
(Laureate Education, 2015). After completing the last two Walden courses

Business Impact Analysis
This is an essential organization s business component that composes of a continuance plan for the
firm (Hiles, 2002). This plan includes planning components that aid in developing strategies for
mitigating risks, and an exploratory component to indicate and identify any vulnerability.
In this analysis account, the researcher is going to discuss and subsequently describe methods for
establishing components priorities by determining components dependencies and reliance in both
business continuity and disaster recovery.
According to (Cardoza, 2006), in developing a business impact analysis, we always go through ...

Work Recovery Time (WRT) this is the second phase of MTD, it happens mostly on the third day of
MTD.
Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) this is the system recovery time, it is the available time to
recover disrupted resources and systems.
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) this is the extent or amount of data loss that a critical business
system can tolerate.
The above are the recovery time framework that will assist in calculating the time and form
through which a business will evolve before collapsing (Hiles, 2002).
To do a business impact analysis, the element of component dependency arises. Components
dependencies are the interdependency between the exploratory components and the planning
components. With the planning component, the organization will dwell much on the minimizing
and mitigating the risks that will lead to business disruption, while the exploratory component will
dwell so much on discovering and identification of vulnerable areas within the business. Their
dependency is as important as the two areas. For an organization to mitigate the risks, it should be
aware of the areas that are more vulnerable to risks, and if an organization identifiers the risk then
it will have to look for ways to reduce its occurrence or the impacts. Mostly the planning happens
after the exploratory component (Cardoza, 2006).

The Convergence Of MTV
Convergence is when a medium makes a leap in technology. For example, the song, Video Killed
the Radio Star, by The Buggles, was MTV s first music video aired by the network as part of their
niche transcending what was played on the radio to a new form of a medium; video. Even though
the network MTVin its inception was not successful at first, it changed the music industry from
lyrics and melody to the visualization realm. This jump in technology started off as an emergence;
solving of technology to finding a tribal audience; young people. Even though, MTV s main
audience was towards a younger audience, there was something missing, they were not getting the
ratings they anticipated. Following MTV s emergence in the early 80s, towards

INTRODUCTION This course has had a great impact on my walk with Christ as well as my
witness for Christ. I pastor a church and teach two classes and for me I thought that I was doing
plenty. However this course has helped rekindle my passion for sharing Jesus Christ with people
through personal evangelism. This paper will demonstrate what I have learned throughout this
course.
EVANGELISM AS IT RELATES TO CHRISTIAN WALK In Philippians 1:27, Paul writes; Only
let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am

We place great emphases with the horizontal relationship and we try to do our best to keep those
relationships in a healthy zone, but our vertical relationship must be kept up with as well. If our
vertical relationship is not maintained and kept healthy then it only points to one major
problem and that is we are out of fellowship with God. Jesus knew that people could see the
difference whether people were sincere or not. That s why he stressed the importance of a right
relationship with God so that when we do good works or witness people will know we are
sincere. Wheeler and Whaley write; Our daily actions toward all people, believers and non
believer should reflect a commitment to life style worship evangelism. The size of our churches
and budgets due not matter in winning souls for Christ. We must understand that if people know
that we love God and love them we then can have a great opportunity to share the gospel. The
authors write; worship and witness are best demonstrated in how we react to, reach out to, treat,
manage, talk with and pray for people. Another way evangelism relates to the Christian walk is
that we as Christians relate to each other. Wheeler and Whaley remind us that it is important for the
members of the church to get along and love one another. I was going on a witnessing tour through
our neighborhood and came across a home that was filled

the 21st century and its increasing effects can be easily observed. Most of the consequences of
the Internet have been beneficial and created a whole new realm for means of communication.
The internet has allowed people from all over the world to communicate and exchange information
in the blink of an eye opening up a virtual world for us to live in. With all these people
communicating online through forums, social networks, chat rooms, and other endless ways, it is

For example, we wonder if pedophiles have sex with little kids because it s unacceptable to do
and wrong on many levels or because they are actually attracted to children. Pedophiles will try
to convince other people that being attracted to little kids is acceptable and it is natural to want
to have sex with them, thus creating more pedophiles. They [pedophiles] are openly uniting
against legal authorities and discussing ways to influence public thinking and legislation on
child exploitation. A group of admitted pedophiles has even developed their creed, The
BoyLove Manifesto. (Faulkner 1997) The internet technology is allowing pedophiles to
exchange information about each other and their victims in a very organized manner. They find
newer ways to meet other people and educate them on how to attract and exploit children. There
are online forums where they discuss their past experiences and give safety tips on how to avoid
trouble from parents as well as allow the abuse to remain hidden. Their community is rapidly
increasing as well their support from fellow pedophiles. They feel safer now and are openly
admitting their desire for child sex in their nicknames online. Pedophiles are even creating support
websites for others to visit. It seems like sexual predators are trying to eliminate the term predator

The Ageing Of Global Population

World Aging Population
The ageing of global population is an important issue that has been debated recently. To think
about a better and longer life seems too attractive for us, but the impact of a generalized increase
of age can be a problem for the government s policies and for the maintenance of the economy. This
phenomenon is occurring right now in almost every country in the world, but faster in the
developed and developing countries. The purpose of this paper is to study the population ageing,
especially what are its causes, effects and what we can predict and do about the future. Besides,
this paper get more emphasis to the changes on Brazil s populace between 1970 and 2010, Brazil is
a developing country and it is a good example to go a little deeper on this topic.
AGING POPULATION: MAIN CAUSES
When the number of adults and elderly people begin to increase at the same time births begin to
decrease, a process of aging starts to affect the population.
The life expectancy increased significantly, this kind of measure should and will be analyzed
according to the specifics life conditions of each country or region, but a global measure is useful
to illustrate the issue. Thus, whereas in 1950 1955 the global life expectancy was 47.7 years, in
2005 2010 it was 67.9. This fact is mainly due to advances in medicine and improvement of life
conditions, which also contributes to mortality

Parable Of The Lost Sheep
How is Luke s claim on the repentance of sinners in the Parable of the Lost Sheep being illustrated
by the differences in detail found, in comparison to the Gospels of Matthew and Thomas?
The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the many parables Jesus gave during his lifetime. It is
found in the two canonical gospels: Matthew 18:10 14 and Luke 15:3 10. It is also found in the
non canonical gospel of Thomas 107. It is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety nine
sheep behind to go look for the one sheep that is lost. This context is similar in all of the three
Gospels.
However, although there are similarities, there are also differences. These differences have an
implication for the message grasped by the readers. The focus will be on the repentance of sinners
claimed in the Gospel of Luke and how it differs from the messages found in the other two Gospels.
I will do this by analyzing the effect of the differences in language, symbolic representation, the
location of the parable, audience, and the context in which it is written, found in these three Gospels.
In terms of symbolic presentation, Luke uses the word sinners to compare them to the sheep as seen
in verse 7, ...one sinner who repents... Jesus is giving a reason why he is friends of tax collectors
and sinners. This is because they are like the sheep, lost and need saving through repentance. In the
Gospel of Matthew, Jesus uses the words little ones . Jesus uses these words after giving a lesson

Clinical Nurse Specialist. Mari Jo Letizia works for the Loyola University Chicago School of
Nursing in Chicago, Illinois, as a Professor and Associate Dean. In this article, they conducted an
experiment that examined the efficiency of pediatric painassessment. To investigate this problem,
they used an educationprogram and examined the pediatric protocol in a community hospital.
Children are taken to the emergency department for various reasons, but pain is one of the most
common. Habich and Letizia state, Despite the high frequency of pain, pediatric patients are
often not appropriately assessed for pain. Nurses and other medical personnel failing to properly
assess the pain in the emergency department is a problem that needs to be fixed. To resolve this
problem, Habich and Letizia decided to conduct an evidence based protocol to review what
ways the program needed to review. They started by getting an overview of what was already
being done to assess pain. Only 60% of patients (n=923) were evaluated by a nurse using an
accepted pain scale during their visit. Surprised by the lack of pain assessment, they began the
protocol in a community hospital. The beginning results were lower than most people want to see;
only one third of the patients who had gone to the emergency room for pain related reasons got
treated. Since there was a lack of pain documentation and

Ohio V. United States in Violations from the Constitution
Both the fourth and fifth amendment protect the privacies of individuals from governmental
intrusion. Appellant Boyd complained that she was denied her constitutional right to testify. The
right to testify comes from many amendments and clauses in the constitution such as the due
process clauses, the Fifth, and Fourteenth amendment. The court held that the search for and seizure
of evidence within an accused s possession might well result in compelling the accused to be a
witness against himself. Then, the court reasoned that the search was unreasonable ab initio and it
makes it a violation of the fourth amendment. Justice Black mentioned in his concurrence that if
something is obtained illegally, it cannot be used again the appellant. The Boyd s case was not the
only case mentioned in the Mapp v. Ohioopinion. Additionally, Weeks v. United States (1914) was
a case that determined the warrantless seizure of items from an individual is a violation of the
Fourth Amendment. The police seized a few papers from Freemont Weeks s home and he was
charged with transporting lottery tickets through the mail. These papers were taken from his home
without a warrant. Weeks asked that his papers be returned to him. This case is another example of
the violation of the fourth amendment. The opinion giving in this case agreed that the constitution
protects the rights of the citizens unless someone committed a crime. Therefore, the government

The Rash Romeo in Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet Essay
The Rash Romeo in Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet
In the play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo s actions are rash throughout the play. For example, Romeo
does not consider the consequences of his actions when he insists on marrying Juliet. Also, Romeo
shows rashness when he kills Tybalt. Finally, Romeo is rash when he kills himself. Rashness is a
quality that haunts Romeo throughout the play.
One of Romeo s acts that shows his rashness is his marrying Juliet. After Juliet says that she does
not want to marry Romeo, he persists and says that he wants Th exchange of thy love s faithful
vow for mine (2.2.134). Romeo does not consider the consequences of their marriage. He simply

Romeo wants revenge and fights with Tybalt. In this fight, Romeo kills Tybalt. When Romeo
realizes the consequences of his actions, he says that he is Fortune s fool (3.1.142). He believes
that he has no control over the killings of Mercutio and Tybalt. However, these events are
caused by his own rashness. Romeo chooses to fight with Tybalt and even starts the fight. Romeo
fights to avenge his friend s death. Romeo s actions are rash because he does not consider the
results of his actions. Romeo could resolve the conflict in some nonviolent way, but his mind is
fixed on killing Tybalt. Romeo is exiled from Verona because he kills Tybalt. His rashness causes
problems for his own family as well as for the Capulets and for the Prince. Romeo s rashness in
killing Tybalt leads to his killing himself.
In the final scene, Romeo s thoughts and actions are very rash when he decides to kill himself.
When Romeo is told that Juliet has died, he immediately decides to kill himself. Romeo does not
think of the pain and suffering that will come to his family and friends if he kills himself. Again,
Romeo acts without thinking of the consequences of his actions. He has done without thought a sin
that is not necessary and that could be avoided. Once again Romeo s rashness brings causes
problems and brings sadness to people that he loves.
Problems that arise because of Romeo s rashness are routine throughout the play. Romeo does not

Homelessness In The United States
Everyone knows of homeless people, but not as many people actually know about homeless
people. In the U.S. there are over 3.5 million people who face homelessness each year. Many
factors play into why people become or end up homeless and it is different for everyone
especially the various age groups of the homeless population; homeless people are from all walks
of life including minors, adults, and elders. As sad as it is the truth is that people under 18 years
make up 39% of the total homeless population and 40% of those minors identify as LGBT. While
the contributing reasons to homelessnessis seemingly never ending the main cause of youth
homelessness is physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse from parents or guardians. For these...

Contrary to belief shelters are not a walk in and receive housing type of deal, but rather there is a
process of calling the shelter and being put on a waiting list which often times take much longer
than what the caller was hoping for. With this in place and the fact that shelters are allowed to
turn away homeless people, most teens are rejected housing and sent elsewhere. Pat LaMarche
says in her article when a family presents itself to a homeless shelter and a teenager is present,
the shelter agrees to take the mom and younger kids if the teenaged children . . . leave them and
go elsewhere, (LaMarche, 1). So even when the whole family is homeless the teenager is still
turned away and must go off on their own. Another subject that often times causes young people
to become homeless is emancipation. When a teenager who lives within foster care turns 18 they
are freed to face the world by themselves. It s more like they are kicked out. In many instances the
newlyfound adult won t have anyplace to go to or end up moving into a bad housing situation only
to find themselves without shelter shortly after. California s own Department of Social Services
concluded, 65 percent of emancipating youth lack safe and affordable housing at

Juicy Campus faces many obstacles to find the tools to survive. The controversies were
abundant among students, faculties, business partners and the media, therefore creating more
threats for Juicy Campus to expand and grow. The problems began to pile up and ultimately lead
to proponents for our termination. According to the stakeholder theory which argues that
corporations serve a broad public purpose: to create value for society ( Lawrence and Weber,

Similarity was the example of Fredrick Douglas when his master had figured out Fredrick was
growing with knowledge, so then he tried to keep him under his control by not allowing him to
continue to learn how to read and write.
As people in lower poverty countries are just as a slave as Fredrick Douglas was. Not being able
to receive an education that is offer to use here in the United States. The people in the United
States have the choice to receive an education if they want it. Which some people do not choose
to receive a free education. That is a dishonor to the people that are unable to have that choice of
receiving an education, but like Fredrick he would have to trick boys into teaching him how to
write. He would tell them that he could write better than they could and they would try to prove
him wrong. As they were writing he would pay attention to detail and do the exact same thing.
This is how he would learn how to write. In poverty countries they do not even have that
opportunity to pretend they know the information because everyone else around them are without
an education. That is why they stay in poverty because no one has the knowledge to improve their
country and make it a better place to live in. This is why an education is so important to societies.

Shippoku Dining
During the Tokugawa period, Japan was mainly a closed off country as it wanted little to do with
being influenced by the outside world, and particularly, by the West. Japan was willing to dabble
with outside influences on what was becoming a national cuisine, but refused to give up it s
national identity. Introducing foreign aspects to Japanese cuisine was acceptable as long as Japan
maintained power and control over how these aspects would manifest. In Tokugawa period
Nagasaki was a regional site that attracted many Chinese settlers. Influenced by these Chinese
settlers, an eating trend called shippoku became popular. Shippoku dining was based on the

Shippoku dining included not only imitation of Chinese style dishes, but also the imitation of
Chinese dining culture. Dishes were communal, which was not common for Japanese cuisine of the
time, and forced shippoku dining to be quite a social experience. Dishes and utensils used for
shippoku were supposed to look Chinese and have Chinese decorations, but the main distinction
between the dishes and utensils used for shippoku from everyday dishes and utensils were what
shippoku diners called them, which shows just how hard they were trying to imitate Chinese dining
culture an ordinary bowl could turn into a shippoku bowl if you called it the right thing; everything
about shippoku dining was supposed to sound Chinese in both names and pronunciation. This
imitation, however, was explicitly an imitation, which is evident from how hard they tried to look

culture, rather they were blatantly imitating the culture as something that was other. This attitude

A Brief Look at William Byrd

He played a large role in the paper I instructed and thus caught my attention. I chose William Bryd

the greatest English composer of all time. Other aspect about William Bryd I found interesting was
his interact with Queen Elizabeth I and Thomas Tallis, and this major works like Latin motets or

William Byrd s early life is unknown; He is believed to have been born in London sometime
between 1539 and 1545. The exact date is unclear. He was one of seven children. He had four
sisters, Alice, Barbara, Mary, and Martha and two brothers, Simon and John. His parents were
Thomas and Margery Byrd. There is no written record of William Byrd s education, however he
was a well educated man, able to read and write very well in this time. William married in 1568 to a
Juliana. They then had seven children and a lifelong happy marriage. He eventually after a
strong career as a composer or chorister died on July 4th 1623 in a small village of Essex and was
buried in an unmarked grave. William was a top composer in the Renaissance era and composed a
large number of astounding musical pieces. Many believe that William Byrd outdid any other

The Theme Of Invisibility And Lack Of Identity In Ralph...
In the novel, Invisible Man the author Ralph Ellison developed a distinct theme of invisibility and
lack of identity. Ellison developed this theme throughout the novel; especially in the beginning,
Ellison was very plain spoken and grave about being invisible. The author never even revealed his
actual name, it must imply that he is not very confident and feels as if it does not matter. Ellison
also shows that he is at a loss of being sure in himself through his actions and how reacts to
problems. In the very beginning of the novel, the narrator simply states, I am an invisible man(1).
The author says the reason that he is invisible is because that ... people refuse to see me (1).

In the very beginning, he states that he lives in a hole, ... I found a home or a hole in the
ground... (6). With no name and no place to live, but a hole he has very low sense of which he is
and lacks dignity. It seemed throughout the novel the narrator had more respect for whoever
told him what to do than himself. He depended on everyone else but himself, All my life I had
been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I was
looking for myself and asking everyone but myself... It took me a long time and much painful
boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization... That I am nobody but myself (15).
In college, he was chauffeuring one of the college s founders and his name was Mr. Norton, and
he tells the narrator that he had a hand in his destiny. Mr. Norton had felt that, ... your people
were somehow connected with my destiny. That what would happen to you was connected with
what would happen to me (41). What he is saying gives the narrator hope, but he is meek and
uncertain of his words. Granted that if he was sure of himself and had his own identity, he would
have felt very confident in what Mr. Norton was saying to him. Perhaps even agree or disagree,
instead of shying away from his

Definition Of Competitive Intelligence ( Ci )
1.Definition of Competitive Intelligence (CI).
CI is the collection of information, internal, external and from competitors, but also from
customers, suppliers, technologies, environments, and potential business to provide early warning
and help to predict the moves of competitors, customers, and governments (Calof and Wright, 2008,
p. 723; Gilad, 1996).
Competitive Intelligence is the process of collecting, analyzing, and distributing actionable
intelligence about customers, producer, suppliers and competitors, so as to help the receiver of this
actionable intelligence to make an informed decision about organisational strategy.
2.Introduction.
Competitive Intelligence (CI) comes from shadows of company secret agent (spy) vs. ... Show more

During the 1980s, Apple (computer) thought its main competitor was IBM whilst an enterprise
known as Microsoft proceeded to take over the computing industry. This proves that employing the
right CI professionals will guarantee you the right intelligence 90% of the time, hence creating
value for the organisation.
According to (Miller N.d), a study conducted by academics in 1995 at the University of North
Texas showed that companies that practice CI typically outperformed those who do not in three
critical areas: average sales, market share, and profitability. This further proves that CI practice
/operations pays off and creates financial value to the company. This study further indicates that
there is a positive relationship between CI and the financial performance of companies. Therefore
CI contributes to the bottom line of the organisation.
4.Is CI a stigmatized practice?
Investigating competitors and commercial espionage is certainly now not the same thing. This is
how the stigma associated with CI practices came about, as people would perceive CI
professionals as people that spy on other companies to obtain an advantage over them. CI is the
accumulating of information on rivals via legal and valid ways, such as text mining, internet
mining, published data, and

The Fine Line Between Harlot And Handmaiden
The Fine Line Between Harlot and Handmaiden Margaret Atwood s The Handmaid s Tale is a
warning to the world that by classifying women by their fertility and stripping them of their rights,
one can easily create a terrifying dystopia where all fabrics of society suffer the erosive
consequences of female subjugation. Women have forever been classified by their fertility and by

Observation Of Altruism
An Observational Study: Altruism and Door Holding among College Students
The purpose of this observational study is to observe door holding behaviors of both college aged
men and woman to determine their level of altruism, and whether these patterns are motivated
through altruism selflessly or selfishly. Altruismis defined as motivation with the ultimate goal of
increasing the welfare of one or more individuals other than oneself. (Batson, Ahmad, Tsang,

Comparing Buddhism And The Bhagavad
Comparing and Contrasting Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ
Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ have a wide array similarities and differences. Both
Buddhism and the Gita deal with an inner struggle. We see Arjuna dealing with the struggle of
whether or not he should murder his family in order to obtain a kingdom. In Buddhism, we see the
inner struggle as the quest to find nirvana and the pain that is the very act of living. Although there
are some similarities, the differences between Buddhism and the Gita are clear. One of the biggest
digressions between the two is how one deals with the notion of atman and how one must live their
life in order to reach the ultimate goal of nirvana or moksha. One of the most important divergences
between Buddhism and the Gita is how dharma is interpreted. In the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ Krishna is
able to shed some light on the significance of dharma. On the subject of dharma Krishna says: It
is better to strive in one s own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever
lost in following one s own dharma. But competition in another s dharma breeds fear and insecurity
(BG 3:35). Here Krishna is talking to Arjuna. Krishna is trying to get the point across that Arjuna is
always better off following his svadharma rather than adhering to what others want him to do. It is
important for Arjuna to follow his own path in order to reach moksha. Krishna is stressing that
Arjuna must follow the path that has been carved out

The Actions of Three Great Men and How They Made Canada...
The Actions of Three Great Men and How They Made Canada Stronger Throughout Canadian
history, we experienced many events that made our country both stronger and weaker. At times,
we were looked upon as a nation with great potential, great peacekeeping service, and even a
nation where its citizens were proud to be Canadian. Although, Canada did show signs of
negativity as some of our actions made us look like terrible people and overall others had a weak
view of the nation. During the 20th century, there were however 3 men that did prove that they did
what they did not just only for themselves, but for the commonwealth of the population. These 3
men, William Lyon Mackenzie King, Lester Bowles Pearson, and Pierre Elliot Trudeau shaped...

There were some issues in the system and how it operated but overall, Canada s elderly were
given financial help that most needed in order to survive. This was a piece of Canada that was able
to become stronger in the sense of stability. Aside from the Old Age Pension Act, King also created
the Unemployment Insurance Act, which are social welfare payments given to the unemployed
population. At first, the Unemployment Act excluded many types of employment such as
agriculture, and jobs that earned more than $2,000 per year (Makarenko, 1). This was the
responsibility of the provinces, but after acquiring unanimous provincial consent, he made it
become a federal issue (Makarenko, 1). The British Parliament made a change to the British North
American Act (now the Canadian Constitution) stating that unemployment insurance was now a
federal power and not a provincial power (Makarenko, 1). King introduced a nationwide public
system of unemployment insurance, which was funded by employees, employers, and the federal
government (Makarenko, 1). This action helped Canada become stronger due to the fact that it
provided an income for the people who couldn t work due to maternity issues, amputations, and
illness. Now, the people who couldn t support themselves had relief from the government which
abled them to be able to survive and keep poverty on a lower scale. With these 3 actions that

Audit and Assurance Services
Title: Audit Assurance services Introduction Advance in technology, globalization and
internationalization are affecting the method organizations are conducting businesses in the
contemporary business environment. Changes in the method that organizations employ in
conducting business also increase the danger of fraudulent financial reporting. Financial failures
and high profile scandals within business environment between 2000 and 2002 have necessitated
market regulators to call for scrutiny in the corporate financial reporting in the United States. The
occurrence of fraudulent practices within business environment made the stakeholders to call for
risk management, governance as well as increase in the scrutiny and quality in auditing and
assurance. Following the WorldCom and Euron s fraud scandals that eroded the confidence of
investors in the United States, the government focuses on the impact of external auditing practice
on the quality of financial reporting. In 2001, Euron Corporation filed for bankruptcy with $62
billion worth of assets. The downfall of Euron made thousands of employees to lose their jobs
making thousands of shareholders to lose their money. In 2002, WorldCom also filed for
bankruptcy with $100 billion worth asset making Euron case appear small in comparison. High
profile scandals that swept across the United States between 2001 and 2002 have shown that quality
auditing practice is very critical for the quality accounting and financial reporting.

I believe in helping those who are helping their selves. I feel that heavily in debt countries should

counterproductive partially because of unfortunate timing. Reduce government spending caused a
recessionary effect, decreasing demand and increasing unemployment hurt nations. Strict monetary
policy raised interest rates and helped to further suffocate investment demand and access to capital
for poor farmers and low income entrepreneurs. Currency devaluation did make exports cheaper but
at a time when export markets for primary goods were oversupplied and prices were falling. Import
cost also rose making it more expensive for domestic producers to obtain new technology and

Los Angeles Music in Chincano Communities
In the 1970 s when Chicanos began to revolt and fight for what they believed in, there was a lot of
violence happening. The riot in which there was one resulting death, fifty injuries, and righty arrests
demonstrates all the chaos and rioting that the Chicano community was experiencing. For many
years Chicanos were considered the silent or forgotten majority. This situation was to change
dramatically in the mid and late 1960s as an independent movement developed in response to the
specific oppression of the Chicanopeople, which had a dynamic and revolutionary logic of its own
. Throughout this time there was also much progress occurring for the Chicanos. They had rose

the Chicano in school and in the work field. They were no longer ignored as they were in the past

False Tuberculin Skin Test Paper
Diagnosis
Diagnosing a TB patient is through taking proper medical history and physical examination to
observe the characteristic symptoms of TB patients which are cough, weight loss, fever and/or
night sweats (for pulmonary TB patients also may complain of coughing of blood) which might
be mild for several months, this is why some patients neglect to see doctors early so they are
kept without treatment for some time leading to the increase of chance of spread of the
organism to other people (12). Other tools of diagnosing are chest x ray especially in pulmonary
TB (3), and doing some tests including sputum smear microscopy that is even though very old
method, it is not only still used but also the most common test used globally. Because of the
improvements of diagnosing procedures and due to WHO approval in 2016, there is increasing in
the use of rapid molecular tests especially in diagnosing pediatric TB which is difficult to diagnose,

This is why false positive reactions may occur. The main 2 causes of false tuberculin skin test are
earlier Bacillus Calmette GuГ©rin (BCG) vaccination (which used against TB) and exposure to non

distinguished with 100% certainty from those caused by non tuberculous mycobacteria or BCG.
While false negative tuberculin skin test can be caused by many factors including bacterial, viral, or
fungal infections and the most important cause is human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
Interferon gamma release assays is used to rule out latent TB infection if there is suspect of a false
negative tuberculin skin test as in immunocompromised patients, and to confirm a positive
tuberculin skin test result if there is a suspect of a false positive tuberculin skin test

  • 2. Difference Between Knowledge And Shared Knowledge The knowledge system of a society can be divided into two bodies of knowledge, shared and personal knowledge. Shared knowledge is a knowledge that shared and group of individuals it is also continually being contributed creating new forms of knowledge. While personal knowledge is knowledge that someone gains through the own experiences and research. Now in the natural sciences a scientist can further their personal knowledge through shared knowledge in how they can learn and further improve their experiments by learning from those who have performed similar ones. Now there are other instances such as with history. When you use primary sources, you are using personal knowledge firsthand accounts of an event. Personal knowledge is then shared to provide collective knowledge demonstrating that through personal knowledge one can further shared knowledge and vice versa. This all leads to the question How does the interaction between shared and personal knowledge allow for human progress? In history, there have been instances in which an individual s own personal knowledge has been completely rejected to preserve the current shared knowledge. Moments in history such as when martin Lutherwrote his ninety five theses Luther penned a document attacking the Catholic Church s corrupt practice of selling indulgences to absolve sin. His 95 Theses, (ap achiver). Which propounded two central beliefs that the Bible is the central religious authority and that humans may reach ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, many individuals felt that Blurred Lines eerily resembled the song Got to Give it Up by Marvin Gaye. The similarities between the two songs eventually brought about a lawsuit amongst Robin Thicke, along with Pharrell Williams, and Marvin Gayes family. When the case was taken to court, the jury determined that Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams had in fact committed an act of plagiarism. The case granted Marvin Gaye s children a large sum of cash due to the money earned from Blurred Lines , and the artists associated with the song, Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. • 4. Context Of Classroom And Research Questions Essay Context of Classroom and Research Questions Learning the four stages of action research will help plan for an appropriate project. They are the planning, acting, developing and reflecting stages (Mertler, 2014). Mertler said that action research is characterized as research that is done by teachers for themselves ( Mertler, 2014, p. 4). Obtaining information that is authentic and trustworthy using the scientific method seems to be a useful strategy for solving problems in one s class. I like this approach since I am a science teacher. Background I have started my 21st year of teaching. I have taught at Science Hill High School (SHHS) in Johnson City, TN for the last 14 years. Each year there I have taught Honors 9th grade Biology and the last two years I have added 10th grade college prep (CP) Biology. This school is the only city high school in town. The population of SHHS is 2,201. I found that the population was 86% white, 12.4% black, 7% Hispanic, 3% Asian, and the other 2% were a combination of American Indian, Alaska Native, or a combination of two or more races (U.S. Department of Education, 2016). The state of Tennessee has a 17.6% poverty rate (Population Reference Bureau, 2014). I teach the students for half of the year in a block class of an hour and a half each day. First Steps The first step of the Action research process guide is to identify the nagging problem or dilemma (Laureate Education, 2015). After completing the last two Walden courses ... Business Impact Analysis Business Impact Analysis Name Course title Institution Instructor Date Business Impact Analysis This is an essential organization s business component that composes of a continuance plan for the firm (Hiles, 2002). This plan includes planning components that aid in developing strategies for mitigating risks, and an exploratory component to indicate and identify any vulnerability. In this analysis account, the researcher is going to discuss and subsequently describe methods for establishing components priorities by determining components dependencies and reliance in both business continuity and disaster recovery. According to (Cardoza, 2006), in developing a business impact analysis, we always go through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Work Recovery Time (WRT) this is the second phase of MTD, it happens mostly on the third day of MTD. Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) this is the system recovery time, it is the available time to recover disrupted resources and systems. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) this is the extent or amount of data loss that a critical business system can tolerate. The above are the recovery time framework that will assist in calculating the time and form through which a business will evolve before collapsing (Hiles, 2002). To do a business impact analysis, the element of component dependency arises. Components dependencies are the interdependency between the exploratory components and the planning components. With the planning component, the organization will dwell much on the minimizing and mitigating the risks that will lead to business disruption, while the exploratory component will dwell so much on discovering and identification of vulnerable areas within the business. Their dependency is as important as the two areas. For an organization to mitigate the risks, it should be aware of the areas that are more vulnerable to risks, and if an organization identifiers the risk then it will have to look for ways to reduce its occurrence or the impacts. Mostly the planning happens after the exploratory component (Cardoza, 2006). For the organization

I pastor a church and teach two classes and for me I thought that I was doing plenty. However this course has helped rekindle my passion for sharing Jesus Christ with people through personal evangelism. This paper will demonstrate what I have learned throughout this course. We place great emphases with the horizontal relationship and we try to do our best to keep those relationships in a healthy zone, but our vertical relationship must be kept up with as well. If our vertical relationship is not maintained and kept healthy then it only points to one major problem and that is we are out of fellowship with God. Jesus knew that people could see the difference whether people were sincere or not. That s why he stressed the importance of a right relationship with God so that when we do good works or witness people will know we are sincere. Wheeler and Whaley write; Our daily actions toward all people, believers and non believer should reflect a commitment to life style worship evangelism. The size of our churches and budgets due not matter in winning souls for Christ. We must understand that if people know that we love God and love them we then can have a great opportunity to share the gospel. The authors write; worship and witness are best demonstrated in how we react to, reach out to, treat, manage, talk with and pray for people. Another way evangelism relates to the Christian walk is that we as Christians relate to each other. Wheeler and Whaley remind us that it is important for the members of the church to get along and love one another. The Ageing Of Global Population Larissa Intrebartoli Resende Professor Bud Lewis Writing Gold B2 30 July 2015 World Aging Population The ageing of global population is an important issue that has been debated recently. To think about a better and longer life seems too attractive for us, but the impact of a generalized increase of age can be a problem for the government s policies and for the maintenance of the economy. This phenomenon is occurring right now in almost every country in the world, but faster in the developed and developing countries. • 12. Parable Of The Lost Sheep How is Luke s claim on the repentance of sinners in the Parable of the Lost Sheep being illustrated by the differences in detail found, in comparison to the Gospels of Matthew and Thomas? The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the many parables Jesus gave during his lifetime. It is found in the two canonical gospels: Matthew 18:10 14 and Luke 15:3 10. It is also found in the non canonical gospel of Thomas 107. It is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety nine sheep behind to go look for the one sheep that is lost. This context is similar in all of the three Gospels. However, although there are similarities, there are also differences. These differences have an implication for the message grasped by the readers. The focus will be on the repentance of sinners claimed in the Gospel of Luke and how it differs from the messages found in the other two Gospels. I will do this by analyzing the effect of the differences in language, symbolic representation, the location of the parable, audience, and the context in which it is written, found in these three Gospels. In terms of symbolic presentation, Luke uses the word sinners to compare them to the sheep as seen in verse 7, ...one sinner who repents... Jesus is giving a reason why he is friends of tax collectors and sinners. This is because they are like the sheep, lost and need saving through repentance. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus uses the words little ones . Jesus uses these words after giving a lesson about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Comparing Buddhism And The Bhagavad Comparing and Contrasting Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ have a wide array similarities and differences. Both Buddhism and the Gita deal with an inner struggle. We see Arjuna dealing with the struggle of whether or not he should murder his family in order to obtain a kingdom. In Buddhism, we see the inner struggle as the quest to find nirvana and the pain that is the very act of living. Although there are some similarities, the differences between Buddhism and the Gita are clear. One of the biggest digressions between the two is how one deals with the notion of atman and how one must live their life in order to reach the ultimate goal of nirvana or moksha. One of the most important divergences between Buddhism and the Gita is how dharma is interpreted. In the Bhagavad GД«tДЃ Krishna is able to shed some light on the significance of dharma. On the subject of dharma Krishna says: It is better to strive in one s own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever lost in following one s own dharma. But competition in another s dharma breeds fear and insecurity (BG 3:35). Here Krishna is talking to Arjuna. Krishna is trying to get the point across that Arjuna is always better off following his svadharma rather than adhering to what others want him to do. It is important for Arjuna to follow his own path in order to reach moksha. Krishna is stressing that Arjuna must follow the path that has been carved out ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although, Canada did show signs of negativity as some of our actions made us look like terrible people and overall others had a weak view of the nation. This was a piece of Canada that was able to become stronger in the sense of stability. Aside from the Old Age Pension Act, King also created the Unemployment Insurance Act, which are social welfare payments given to the unemployed population. At first, the Unemployment Act excluded many types of employment such as agriculture, and jobs that earned more than $2,000 per year (Makarenko, 1). This was the responsibility of the provinces, but after acquiring unanimous provincial consent, he made it become a federal issue (Makarenko, 1). The British Parliament made a change to the British North American Act (now the Canadian Constitution) stating that unemployment insurance was now a federal power and not a provincial power (Makarenko, 1). King introduced a nationwide public system of unemployment insurance, which was funded by employees, employers, and the federal government (Makarenko, 1). This action helped Canada become stronger due to the fact that it provided an income for the people who couldn t work due to maternity issues, amputations, and illness.
