Essay Thesis Statement Example
Crafting an essay on the topic "Essay Thesis Statement Example" is no small feat. The challenge
lies not only in providing a clear and concise thesis statement but also in presenting a
comprehensive exploration of the topic. The difficulty arises from the need to strike a balance
between specificity and generality, ensuring that the thesis statement encapsulates the essence of
the essay while leaving room for in-depth discussion.
The process of writing such an essay demands a thorough understanding of the components that
constitute a robust thesis statement. It requires the ability to identify the main argument and
articulate it coherently, providing a roadmap for the reader to navigate the subsequent content.
The challenge lies in avoiding vagueness while maintaining a sense of openness for the
exploration of various facets related to the thesis.
Additionally, the essay must be well-researched to support the thesis statement effectively. This
involves sifting through a myriad of sources, critically analyzing information, and synthesizing
relevant data to fortify the central argument. The difficulty intensifies when selecting the most
pertinent examples to illustrate and substantiate the thesis, ensuring that each piece of evidence
contributes meaningfully to the overall narrative.
Furthermore, the writer must pay attention to the essay's structure, ensuring a logical flow of
ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. This requires adept organizational skills to arrange
information in a manner that enhances comprehension and engagement. Striking the right
balance between depth and brevity is another challenge, as the essay should be comprehensive
enough to address the topic adequately without becoming overly verbose.

Comparing The Two Brother And The Little Match Seller
It is often that you do not take chance in life become cautious and give up on what
you are doing but in The Two Brother and The Little Match Seller. Both of these
text talk about or have caution in the story weather it is to do something or stand up
for some one they both have caution. In the Two Brothers it is about a magical rock
that has a message on it and one Brother goes and the other Brother stays home. In
the Little Match Seller it is about a girlwho lives with her dad and he is very mean
she then one night sees her grandmother who is dead and dies on New year s eve.
Other might think that theses texts are about people who have unfortunate events
that happen in their life, but a better theme is when you are cautious you will always
miss out on things in life. This theme is shown in the Two Brothers when they find
the tablet and one Brother goes on the adventure while the other one stays home and
in, The Little Match Seller the Little Girlis so cautious of what she does and she then
gets motivation from her grandmother to stand up for herself.
In the Two Brothers it is obvious that the little brother is a lot more during and the
older brother is more cautious of what he does. For example at the begining of the
story it says I am not going into the forest after bear cubs, said the elder brother, and I
advise you not to go (Tolstoy,P1) This evidence show that right in the beginning of
the story the older brother is more wise and the younger brother is more

Description Of A Man s Voice
We sat on a cheap wooden bench in the security room in the back of Lord and
Taylor, our bags lay on their sides, the contents spilled across the concrete floor.
Little white tags hung from the fabric, a few seams were noticeably ripped along
the side ribbing of the clothing. Computer screens encompassed the room, the
surveillance footage rotated intermittently from Camera 1 to Camera 2 to Dressing
Room Camera. The man s voice was barely audible through the wall behind me, as
he called my parents and the authorities. He came back into the room with the
woman who had grabbed my arm as I exited the department store, announcing that
the price for all of the products I had stolen totaled to approximately $1,300 though
he hadn t calculated in the damages of the torn clothing where the security buttons
were ripped out. My best friend, better known as my fellow thief, called her mom
to retrieve us. I used the thick silence of that car ride to prepare something
mitigating to say to my mother. When I delicately, respectfully, quietly entered the
foyer, my mom sat waiting, drilling me with questions. As I entered the foyer, my
mom, who had been undoubtedly stewing in her own thoughts as she awaited my
arrival, drilled me with questions. Why would you do this? Because it s fun. Who
made you do this? As if I can t make my own decisions and fuck up my life on my
own. How long has this been going on? I told her once before but in reality it had
been going on for a while. WHY? Why not?
Cons Of Eugenics
The idea that one can improve the human race by careful selection of those who
mate and produce offspring is called eugenics. It is better understood as the process
of selective breeding can improve human society. The term eugenics is from the
greek, meaning well born . The idea of eugenics is to have a society be abundant with
many wanted traits, during a movement called the melting pot where people tried to
solve their problems with the use of technology. Inquiries into HumanFaculty and Its
Development, is the book in which Sir Francis Galton first mentioned the term
eugenics. In the book he says that humans believe that humans were disrupting
evolution in maintaining the weak and sickly through social welfare programs, mental

The way eugenics will be used is by correcting genetic problems in embryos. Soon
enough a parent will be able to find out the accurate view of their child s genes,
allowing any defects to be seen. If the child seems perfectly healthy no changes
will be made. On the other hand if a problem is spotted the parents may choose to
go through with gene therapy, also known as eugenics. This process will not only
be able to identify health problems, but also personality traits. It allows the baby to
be deigned to the parents desire. There are many pros and cons to this concept,
which is a reason why there are questions to whether the situation can be resolved
or not. One of the greatest benefits of eugenics is the possibility of fighting
illnesses and curing types of cancer. The chances of cancer or genetic illnesses is
when the persons genes are altered and the traits are passed on to their children. A
way to prevent genetic illness is when the doctor injects an artificial human
chromosome into the fertilized egg, which will cause the child to cancel the
effects of the illness as the child grows. A result of this would be that people will
be able to live longer and healthier lives. By using this method, there is a possibility
to creating the perfect child as it can possibly alter the behavioral and physical traits
as well. Although there are positive effects there can also be many drawbacks. In a
way eugenics can be compared to
One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest Analysis
In One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, by Ken Kesey, the climax occurs when Nurse
Ratched, the antagonist, forces the men who return from the boating trip to
shower, causing a violent melee that leads to the book s resolution. McMurphy,
one of the protagonists in the story, arranges a special boating trip to let the other
men in the ward have a sense of happiness and independence. As Nurse Ratched
discovers that the men interact with a prostitute, she furiously demands the men to
cleanse their bodies. George expresses his disapproval of the nurse s demand due
to his phobia of cleanliness, and McMurphy and Chief Bromden physically fight the
nurses as a part of their protest. In the end McMurphy and Chief Bromden relocate
to the Disturbed Ward for their extreme behavior: They kept talking like that, to
cheer us up and make us feel better, about what a fight, what a victory as the Big
Nurse helped the aides from Disturbed adjust those soft leather cuffs to fit our arms
(234). The main theme of the novel, the overthrowing of authority comes to a close,
and Nurse Ratched finally captures McMurphy, the man who encourages the rest of
the patients to resist her oppression. This climatic scene contributes to the resolution:
the weaker party, or the patients, win by proving their point of intolerance towards
authority, yet Nurse Ratched remains the ultimate person in control. Shortly after the
incident, Nurse Ratched metaphorically and literally sucks the life out of McMurphy

Xavier University Jazz Ensemble
I attended the concert of Xavier University Jazz Ensemble which was held on
Wednesday, December 10 and took place in Gallagher Theater. Instrumentation was
the style of ensemble and the instruments used at the band were saxophone,
trombone, trumpet, piano, guitar, drum, and saxophone. Personnel were the students
of Xavier University, community members, and Xavier Faculty/staffs.
Tite of the tunes are range from big band era to Jazz rock fusion. For instance, One
O clock Jump which is a tune from big band era, Scrapple from the Apple which
came from bebop era, and Paranoid Android which is a tune of rock fusion. The
others are March Majestic, Pennsylvania6 5000, A Child is Born, September, and
Truth. In addition to this, the form of tunes are changed with the change of tunes and
era. Sometimes they used unusual percussion.( I m not sure but it was agogo bell?) ...

So, I can recognize the differences of each categories of jazz tunes. Especially, the
shift from bebop era to smooth jazz era was easy to understand. Smooth jazz was
intended to make tunes easier to listen, so it term of melodies and improvisations
are shorter than bebop era and it was comfortable to listen for me. When I listened
to September, I can recognize the A A B A form. In addition to this, I can easily
find the A A B A form in Pennsylvania 6 5000. As we learned in the class, big band
jazz caught popularity because of the easiness melodies, I convince those reasons.
The evidence for that, the person sitting next to me got into the rhythm during the

My Wonderful Mom Is My Mom
My Marvelous Mom My Interest Catcher Hasn t everyone had that moment when
they just feel the need to say, But Mom! Topic My mom is my favorite, because
she has MP1 great movie taste, MP2 is always there to help, and is MP3 very
supportive of my decisions. Personal Reflective Statement She has always been
there for me, whether it was with an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on.
Description of Character My mom has never been a loud person, but she isn t
considered shy. She is very short, barely reaching five feet. She also has dark
brown hair, and eyes to match. She has always been friendly, stopping to talk to
anybody who is willing. Whenever she is with one of her friends, they spend hours
(literally) talking about anything and everything. She has a great love for kids,
always volunteering to help with them, even if they are strangers. Main Point 1
First, my mom has great movie taste. She enjoys watching all the Marvel movies,
Disney, and one of her favorites, Clue. Mom and I both share a love for Marvel.
We always watch them together, and enjoy every second of it all. It has always
been a conversation starter for us, if one of us brings it up, then we can just talk
about it all the time. Mom also enjoys Disney. Sure, it s not one of her favorites,
but it s one of mine, and we can always discuss them. I remember when we first
went to see Tangled together, and it was a fun experience. We went to see it over
Christmas break the year it came out. Afterwards, we went and
Proposed Health Care Plans Of Two 2016 Presidential...
It is highly visible that the United States lacks an affordable, universal health care
plan. Compared to other countries America is lagging behind. The improvement of
access to care has become of high importance to the betterment of society and the
country s health care outcome. This paper will describe the three major problems that
exist in the United Stateshealth care. In addition, it will explore the proposed health
care plans of two 2016 presidential candidates and the position they take in regards
the big issues.
The uninsured and acquiring access to health care is one of the problems that the
United States faces in regards to health care. An obstacle that individuals face is
that gaining access to health care is linked to having a job. However, the problem
does not stop there. The problem continues in the form that not every job gives
people access to health care. Many employers will stop from offering individuals full
time status because then they would have to offer some type of insurance plan. Thus,
employers often hire people as part time so as to not have to face giving people
benefits they may deem too costly. Inherently, people are finding themselves without
insurance due to the fact that acquiring health care is contingent on having a job.
What does this mean for the jobless? Based on the linkage between health care
access and being employed, it is rather visible that the unemployed would be faced
with being uninsured and difficulty acquiring access.
The
Oracle Vapors In Ancient Greek
Exercise 2.5
In the origins of Greece, ancient Greek mythology and sources have explained
incidents of the oracles of Delphi. The Delphic oracles were primarily female
prophets who were told to have inhaled certain vapors from a spring in the temple of
the Greek god, Apollo, which allowed the prophets to serve as a supernatural
connection to the specific God. Despite the historical evidence that supports the idea
of the mysterious oracle vapors, modern day archeologists and geologists rejected
the idea completely. Many of the rejections are due to the lack of archeological
findings of vapors at Delphi. Two men by the name of Jelle Zeilinga De Boer, a
chemist, and John Hale, an archeologist, had then stepped up to study both the
geological ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the Greek government standpoint, if they allow De Boer and Hale to proceed
with their research, they would not have to worry about cost because both men are
willing to do the research for free. If anything, the Greek governments has nothing
to lose, and should not have a problem with allowing the two scientists to carry out
their research. By granting Hale and De Boer the freedom to go on with their
research, Greece would be able to gain potential benefits. If Hale and De Boer are
successful in proving emission of ethylene gas from the oracle at Delphi, it will
provide Greece with more historical value and significance of the Apollo temple.
Moreover, Greece will even be able to discover whether or not the faults under
Delphi contained ethylene and prove the idea that the Oracle of Delphi may have
inhaled the fumes in order to make prophecies. Lastly, to find where De Boar and
Hale precisely mention the benefits and costs of their research in their proposal, it
can easily be pointed out under the Background section. In the Background section,
De Boer and Hale provide their audience with basic background information on the
Oracle at Delphi, the vapors released from the temple, and evidence that goes against
the original historical Greek

King Lear Cordelia Quotes
Cordelia s death, which often causes questions of justice can surely be justified,
because she is the sacrifice that Lear has to make for him to be closer to the truth
of reality. Now our joy,/ Although our last and least, (1, 1, 91). King Lear has three

expresses his love for her. Unlike her barbarous sisters, Goneril and Regan, the
youngest daughter Cordelia is the most pure, honest, just, uncorrupted. In the Bible,
the white baby lamb, representing its pureness and innocence is offered as a
sacrifice to God, and contrasting to the Bible, Cordelia in King Lear, is the metaphor
U.s. Government s Government
Throughout history, the united states government had a good reputation with their
people, but lately it has been fading away. The united states government has not live
up to their reputation and trust with their citizens due to recent events. Now, the
government feels like it has become more corrupt, and unfair towards their citizens.
Many American citizens do not trust their government because of what the
government stands for. For many of us, the government is all about power and
money, so it s hard for the common man to see the government s point of view. In
addition, due to recent and past events, is nearly impossible for the American
government to restore their trust with the people. The critical analysis question that it

the government does not work together. the government has to do whats best for the
country and not what is best for them. what is the point of the government if they are
not helping their citizens. what s the point of having a government many might
asked. The point of a government is government seeks to protect its citizens, it faces
the challenge of doing so in ways that are true to the key American political values of
liberty, equality, and democracy We all know that the government has to be neutral
towards their people , but they seem like they only care what s best for the
government than for the nation. Also, many believe that the government is just
playing games with the nation s future and that s no fair for the people.
The public trust in government has declined over the years, and now the people think
they can do little to influence the government actions. According to the book We the
people by Benjamin Ginsberg, in 2013 only 19 percent of americans reported trusting
the government with their decisions in Washington. On the contrary, compare to
1960s and 1970s americans had a lot of more respect and trust for the american
government due to the fact that the government did what was best for the people. But
now, the trust that his great nation once had has been declining in a
Argumentative Essay On Alcohol Advertising
Alcohol Advertisements
Did you see the game on Sunday Night? Do you remember who won? How many
commercial breaks aired during the game? Chances are that you watched the game
with your children and during the commercial breaks advertisements for alcohol
were shown. You may not remember who won, but I know you remember that
commercial with the golden retriever puppy and the pretty Clydesdale pony.
Although the infamous Budweiser Clydesdale pony looked adorable while bumping
noses with the puppy, have you ever wondered about how these commercials affect
the decisions your children will make? While you see the big red Budweiser logo,
your children are more than likely focused on the puppy.
How the rules have been broken.
In the 1990 s marketing codes were set in place to limit the audience to which these
commercial advertisements would attract. These codes were created and somewhat
enforced by alcohol advertising companies. These marketing codes also put a limit on
what the advertisements can say about the products. Anything that could target a
child is not supposed to be allowed. Some of these characteristics include animals,
bright colors, or a party theme atmosphere. Since the 90`s a lot companies have failed
to follow these codes and regulations. Yet no punishments have been perused on these
companies. (Source A2, A3)
During the 2017 Super Bowl, the commercials that aired sparked a huge controversy
after the game. Many believed that the companies were using these

examine upward, downward, and lateral building of relationships. There are five

Boucce Research Paper
A Research About Bocce
History: Bocce Ball has been evolving for thousands of years. The basics of the game
can be traced back to games that were played in Egypt around 5000 BC when people
first began settling along the Nile Delta. Records dating to the 3rd century BC also
show the popularity of a Bocce like game with Roman soldiers. As the Roman
Empire spread, this game was introduced throughout the European continent, Asia and
North Africa.
Bocce Ball is one of the oldest of all lawn or yard games. Best known in Italy, it is

Scoring: Bocce ball is a game played with two teams, each comprised of one, two or

equally among players. Each team tosses the bocci balls as close to the pallina ball as
possible.
How to play:
1.)Divide players into two teams of one, two or four players each. Each team gets
four balls, divided equally among the players. A coin toss determines who will play
first.
2.)To start the game have a player from the starting team stand behind the foul line
(which is 10 feet from the throwing end of the court) and throw the small ball, or
pallina, toward the opposite end of the playing surface. The same person who tossed
the Pallino then throws the one Bocce Ball trying to get it as close to the Pallino as
possible without touching it.
3.)The next team then throws one ball trying to get closer than the first team. If team
two gets closer, then it is Team one s turn. If Team Two s ball does not come closer
then they continue to throw until

The Importance Of Tackle Football In High Schools
When I first started playing football, I didn t know anything about concussions.
Now that I m a sophomore in high school, I see all these stories of concussions all
over the place. This doesn t worry me about playing this sport and no one should
be worried about it either. All kinds of injuries occur in all kind of sports; however,
football takes an extremely bad rap about concussions, but the fact is they happen in
almost every sport. Many people think tackle football should be banned until a
person is sixteen, but if they wait till then to teach them how to properly playthey
could get hurt even worse than if they did play tackle football before high school.
Tackle football should be started around fifth grade to teach kids the fundamentals
and keep them safe when they play in high school. Someone who starts any type of

football until a certain age. I could see benefits to this such as less of a chance of
concussion or other injury. Also there less chance of dehydration or heat exhaustion.
This is wrong because USA Football Has Certified many coaches all around the

kids and teens are being educated about how to properly play the game of
Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Adversarial System
The adversarial and inquisitorial trial systems are the two most widely used in the
world, both operating in similar but different ways. The adversarial system is a
system based on the notion of two adversaries battling in an arena before an impartial
third party, with the emphasis on winning. There are five main elements of the
adversarial system; the role of the judge, the role of the parties, the role of legal
representation, burden and standard of proof and the rules of evidence of procedure.
The inquisitorial systemis a method of legal practice in which the judge endeavours
to discover facts while simultaneously representing the interests of the state in a
trial. In this system, the judge is primarily responsible for resolving the case by
searching for evidence and questioning the witnesses as opposed to the adversarial
system in which the judge is a passive recipient. In this essay I will discuss the
strengths and weaknesses of both trial systems, look into a case study of each and
then conclude with which system I think is best.
There are many strengths to the adversarial trial system. Each party is empowered
to discover the truth, acting out of self interest to present the best case and win and
are also in control of their own case, which gives individuals access to the legal
system. The basic democratic right to defend oneself is upheld and the law of the
land binds prosecution and defence equally. Each side gets equal access to exactly
the same evidence and

Taboo as defined the dictionary is: banned on grounds of morality or taste. Taboo
topics in cult film are often dealt with in an excessive manner. These taboos can

social taboos broken are worse than others. While Divine holds the title of filthiest
person alive it is her family that allows her to reach that title. It is more so her son,
Cracker that does or is involved in the worse taboo actions. His act of bestiality

fellating her son, second to that being her murder of the Marble couple. The Marble

How Did Germany Influence Ww1
Germany s Influence on WWI
German expansionism in the Wilhelmine period contributed greatly to the outbreak
of World War I. Even leading up to that period tensions were rising, with so many
different political groups being formed and with that all the different opinions being
formulated the unification they hoped to fulfill was not carried out. The anticipation
was building for a war to break out and Germany was preparing for it too whether it
was through the building up and upgrades to their nations military. Colonialization
played a role as well in the outbreak in the war as countries wanted to expand their
territories and take control smaller areas as such as the Balkan Peninsula. Finally,
industrialization played a factor as well because manufacturing of weapons and
transportation went up in Germany all in preparation for war.
As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the biggest key in what started the war was when Austria s Archduke
Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. When this happened Austria immediately turned to
consult with the hot headed Germany in which they handed Austria a blank cheque
and told them they stood behind any decision they made. To me that basically
sounded as though Germany was trying to use Austria as a puppet to start the war
they wanted all along. Also, since Germany was being very lenient on the political
groups power, the groups wound up being able to pressure leaders into positions on
problems the leaders themselves didn t even agree on. Take the German chancellor,
Bethmann Hollweg for example, he was generally known for his peaceful takes on
matters concerning his country, but when the Pan German League and the Central
League of German Industrialists started disagreeing with those views, his takes on
situations became more of those political groups
Conflict Between Conflict And Conflict Management
Conflict and conflict management both play pivotal roles in all relationships,
whether they are between friends, family, lovers, or coworkers. However, while most
relationships have an abundance of conflict, the amount of properly implemented
conflict management in all relationships is relatively low. This is especially
surprising when you consider the sheer amount of research and counseling directed at
managing conflict in constructive ways. Though the aforementioned services and
research are of extremely high quality, the people who would benefit from them the
most are either entirely unaware of their existence, associate them a negative stigma,
or simply don t have strong conflict managementskills. I want to advocate the
effectiveness of counseling programs available to help people in relationships
resolve conflicts in a positive way, as well as explain some basic aspects of conflict
managementin a simple, easy to understand text. One such service with a negative
stigma associated with it is relationship counselingor couples therapy. Too many
people think that couples therapy is just an expensive way of extending a relationship
by a few months, only to inevitably break up a few months down the line. But,
contrary to what most people believe, the purpose of relationship counseling isn t to
extend or fix relationships. While it is awesome when counseling achieves these
things, the main goals usually consist of improving communication, teaching the, win

Joseph Smith Religion
In the early 1800 s during the time of the Second Great Awakening was a time of
turmoil and confusion for the citizens of different religions during this time. Many
different religions began to pop up during this time, and each vied for the attention
of potential converts. However, a boy Joseph Smith decided to seek the true religion
through prayer, and he was told none of them was true. This is a story that every
member of The Church of JesusChrist of Latter day Saints learns about when they
are young. The principle that I will be studying this paper is that Joseph Smith is a
prophet of God, and by understanding this we know that the fullness of the gospel
has been restored to the earth today.
God reveals through revelation that Joseph Smith is his chosen servant, meaning a
prophet. Heavenly Father explains to the readers that Verily, I say unto my
servant Joseph Smith, Jun., [...] I called you servants for the world s sake, and ye
are their servants for my sake (D C 93:45 46). Looking at this scripture we
understand that Heavenly Father is explaining that Joseph Smith s calling was to be
a servant. A servant is someone who obeys the orders of a master by their own
choice. Similarly, a prophet is a man who listens to the orders of God and then relay

PEST stands for political, economical, social and technological factors. Two more
factors, the legal and environmental factor, are defined within the PESTLE analysis.
To explain these environmental factors, it is necessary to say that most of the factors
depend on each other and that they change over the years. Consequently, when one
factor changes it also affects the others. The equality for every company is the main
characteristic of the factors in an environmental analysis. The different environmental

Florence Nightingale Values
Whether the time be hundreds of years ago or today, Florence Nightingale
demonstrates the same nursing values as nurses today. What would the nation do if
Florence Nightingale did not notice the unsanitary conditions of the military
hospitals? The uncleanliness of the hospitals would kill the patients before the
diseases do. Nightingale left an impact on the history of nursing. Nightingale s strong
values influence the future nurses of today (Stichler, 2014).
Florence Nightingale was the founder for nursing. Even though Nightingale s family
was against the career of nursing, she pursued her passion of learning to care for the
ill. She strived to help the people sick and in need. Nightingale showed her caring
heart when she helped cure soldiers during the Crimean War. She showed her
compassion as she helped the wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Over time,
Nightingale noticed the unsanitary conditions at the base hospital. Since the
conditions were extremely unsanitary, Nightingale recorded the mortality rate of the
soldiers. According to her data, the soldiers hospitalized were seven times more likely
to pass away from unsanitary environments and not injuries from the battlefield. After
the environmental conditions improved, the mortality rate decreased from 60% to
2%. With the help of fresh fruits and vegetables, Nightingale helped improve the
mortality rate drastically. Nightingale brought attention to the unsanitary
environments of the hospital.
Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia
Abstract
Clinical problem: Oral care and ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) is extremely
important in all healthcare organizations and has gained increased attention. For this
reason, oral care has been introduced in many hospital settings. However, there is not
enough evidence on critically ill patients concerning the effect of oral care
interventions on the development of VAP. In order to evaluate the effect of oral care
on VAP for hospitalized patients, additional studies are required.
Objective: To determine if oral care lowers the incidence rate of hospital acquired
pneumonia infection in hospitalized patients with ventilators.

imperative for her to keep her follow up appointment as infection and ulcers are
common after ocular injuries (Bailey et al., 2013).
Current Coastal Protection Programs and Plans at Gold...
There are many coastal protection programs in place at the Gold Coast and around
the World. Coastal Protection programs are projects and infrastructures that help to
prevent coastal hazards. The Gold Coast has many Coastal Hazard Protection
Programs currently in place. Some Coastal Hazards that the Gold Coast Seaway face
can include:
Storms
Flooding
Erosion
Longshore Drift (Erosion)
Pollution
There are many plans and projects in place at the Seaway to stop most of these from
occurring. 3.4.2 The Sand Bypassing System
The most well known and most effective Coastal protection infrastructure at the
Seaway is The Sand Bypassing Jetty. This Jetty stretches 500m long and is the first
permanent Sand Bypassing Jetty in the world. The jetty pumps sand up through the
Jet Pumps at the feet of the jetty, the sand is then delivered underneath the Seaway
onto South Stradbroke Island inside the Moreton Bay Marine Park. The project first
commenced in 1984 in order to stabilise the Nerang River Estuary which links the
Pacific Ocean to the Southport Broadwater and was constructed in 1986. The Jetty
stops longshore drift from pushing sand and sediments into the seaway and creating a
shallow passage that is unsafe for boats. 3.4.3 What other Coastal Protection
Programs are currently in place at the Seaway?
The Gold Coast has several protection plans underway however they all fall under
the same large project, the Gold Coast Shoreline Management Plan or GCSMP for

Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence is the gathering and analysis of large amounts of information so
as to gain insights that propagate strategic and tactical business decisions. Business
Intelligence is the conglomeration of the processes and technologies which change
data into information. It encompasses a wide category of technologies, including data
warehousing, multidimensional analysis or online analytical processing, data mining
and visualization, as well as basic queries and multiple types of analytical tools for
reporting. These technologies allow business stakeholders to collect, store, access,

The Key Factors Of Operations Management
Operations management observes the function of providing the product or
service. It s a focus that s impossible to let go in operations management. There are
two very important yet very obvious things under operations management and they
are providing the product or service and to of course go ahead and sell the product
or service. In order for a firm to ensure that it has the capabilities to produce its
products, the supply chain, raw materials, and where to produce the products
should be considered. There are six key factors to be followed and five important
process choices to be mentioned. The factors are operations at low cost, the design
at a high performance, reliable value, fast delivery time, development speed, and
product customization. The process choices are project, job shop, the flow in
regards to batch, flow in regards to line, and of course the flow in regards to
continuous. I will be describing and providing examples for the six key factors as
well as the five important process choices in the next few paragraphs. Some
examples of operating costs include raw materials, salaries, and advertising. By
using low cost operations, there is an advantage over the competitors essentially by
lowering the costs of operations below what others have in the same industry. With
high performance design, some examples included would be technology, where we
would use technology in a business to not only add value to the quality of the
merchandise, but as well as the quickness

Introduction
The 2006 Census Public Use Microdata File (PUMF) involved a total of 844,476
people. Participants were randomly selected in a manner that represented all social
characteristics that existed among Canadians. Technically, it was estimated that the
number represented only 2.7% of the Canadian population. It is also on record that the
2006 PUMF involved a total of 123 population variables, of which 83% (102)
represented individual variables, while the remaining 17% (21) of all variables used
represented family, dwelling, and household variables. The purpose of this research
is to determine how the cost of shelters and age distribution affects the Aboriginal
people of Canada in relation to the 2006 Census Public Use Microdata File (PUMF)
on individuals. The research employs both age distribution and shelter cost as major
variables affecting the Aboriginal population. The research will conduct an inferential
statistical analysis on three major variables: Aboriginal population, shelter cost, and
age. For the purpose of this research, both age and shelter costs will be employed as
independent variables relating to the overall Aboriginal population, which is the
dependent variable. Another question that the paper aims to research is whether there
exists a relationship

of art. Although they may be works of fiction, the elements and symbols contained
within them resemble historical fact. In these films, there are culturally inherited
myths that are synonymous with the very roots of western civilization. In this essay, I

mean, and offer an explanation for why they are significant. In order to help

This is an example of Star Trek taking real events from the past and breathing life
back into them by retelling them in a utopian future. In Star Trek s series Deep
Space Nine, the planet of Bajor, and its inhabitants, the Bajorans are like the
Hebrew people of Earth, They had a central religion that kept them hopeful but also
made them seem inferior. Instead of the Holocaust it is called the occupation and
it ends with the death of over 10 million people, often in camps. Even more so, the
people commiting this genocide, the Cardassians, were bankrupt, and forced into
wars for agricultural land, with the rise of a new fascist leader they began
conquest. This closely mirrors The bankruptcy of Germany in the 1920 s and their
agricultural crisis which led to the rise of the power of Adolf Hitler. With the help
of Star Trek s United Nations, The united federation of planets The bajorans are
able to regain their homeland and be freed from their camps and establish a weak
government. Now this almost like a direct reflection of the events that took place in
World War 2. It is very hard to talk about or in a way recreate such a horrifying
atrocity without criticism, the only way Star Trek did so was because they put more
emphasis on the good parts and the liberation, instead of the countless deaths of
innocents. This ties into another mythos that is key to Star Trek, The

Analysis of the Political and Social Consequences for Iran of the 1979 Revolution
When Ayatollah Khomeini ousted Mohammed Reza Shah and ended the Pahlavi
dynasty in the revolution of 1979 many political and social consequences took place.
These consequences were due to vital decisions made by him but also due to
repercussions of the revolution itself. With Iran being dominated predominantly by
monarchies for the past several decades with the most recent being the Pahlavi
dynasty the public had been through an era of radical yet superficial modernisation
and westernisation . Khomeini entered his rule with an extremist Islamic rule that
was non existent under the previous Shahs and this was bound ... Show more content

With a country backed by a 99% Shi ite population he moved the country in the
direction of a theocracy. This is one of the major political consequences of the 79
revolution and it meant that over time Khomeini was able to abolish the Shahs
regime, eradicating many of the top members of his regime, and create an Islamic
Republic Party in 1979, and eventually make this the state party. The Ayatollah had to
deal with foreign influence within the country. The Shah had welcomed western
influence into the country but Khomeini disliked this dependence and his revolution
ended up in a bitter quarrel with western powers such as the US and Britain. The
quarrel rose to new levels when members of the Iranian public took American
embassy workers hostage and were not released until 1980. The consequence was a
ruined diplomatic tie with the Carter government and western powers alike.
The Ayatollah destroyed the good relations with the west but he also made himself
unpopular with various other Arab states. Anwar Sadat who believed that the west
was the way to move on was opposed to the Ayatollah s view of a completely
isolated Islamic republic. Sadat even accepted Mohammed Pahlavi as an exile but
he was forced to leave because of his health. Khomeini s views were popular to the
people especially the poverty stricken rural community of Iran but not to other leaders
in the region.

Three Key Themes Of War Crimes Persico
Three Themes: 1. In the Epilogue, Persico ponders the actual validity that the
conspiracy charge had throughout the Nuremberg Trials. Conspiracy was among
the possible indictments along with War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity and
Peace Crimes brought forth against the numerous Nazi s on trial. Regarding the
Conspiracy charge, Periscope goes so far as to say the conspiracy charge was
unnecessary. Persico s argument which I do see to hold validity, is that the
conspiracy charge is simply piling on to build a greater quantitative case against
the selected high ranking Nazi s while in no way at all helping the quality of the case.
It was virtually impossible to prove the guilt of any of the Nazi s by way of the
conspiracy charge as zero defendants were convicted of this charge by itself. For this
reason, it didn t prove to have much a purpose as the trial progressed.... Show more

Another key theme that Persico discusses in the epilogue is justice. Persico claims
that the trial did serve justice to those who deserved it even if there were some
issues with the process. There is also the concept that Persico grapples with which
is if one high ranking Nazi effectively murders MANY innocent people and this
Nazi is put on trial and later hanged, is justice served. My belief is that although the
scale is most definitely tipped, justice was served in the most just possible way
which appears to align with the ideas Persico debates in the epilogue. This form of
justice that was executed or any form of justice for that matter may not feel as
fulfilling as it ought to be knowing the horrible atrocities that were committed,
however I believe that this was the best way of handling the situation at
Music Improvements During The 1960s Essay
Music improvements in 1960s Life is a progress, not a station, said Ralph Waldo
Emerson. Each decade, changes occur in almost all areas in life, and music is one of
the fields that describes better that assessment. Since the 1960s, music has been going
through a lot of changes in composition, arrangement, production, and distribution.
However, some people are still thinking that musicstarted getting worse since that
time(Briggs). But, what if it was a positive change or a progress people had to
discover? Music is a powerful apparatus that shapes generations. In the 1960 s, music
was a force that affected the way people thought and behaved(Welch). During that
period, people started composing their music in different ways. Many musicians
wanted to share important messages or their opinions about situations on that time:
Protest songs were born. For example, Bob Dylanand Woody Guthriein their songs
Blowin in the Wind and This Machine Kills Fascists were protesting against wars
and conflicts. It was new and unique because most of the music composers were
being very creative in songwriting. They wanted to reach people s hearts and minds
with peace, justice and anti war messages(Protest).
In 1965, Bob Dylan went electric at Newport Folk Festival. It was a big step
because electric guitar was getting more and more involved in live music since the
early part of the 20th century (Electric Guitar). However, Bob Dylan was booed
during that Festival. The audience consisted
Censorship In North Korea Essay
Censorship is the control of what people may say, hear, write, read, see, or do. All
around the word censorship comes in various forms, the four major types of
censorship consist of moral, military, political, and religious censorship. At whatever
point an administration or private group feels jeopardized by free expression, it may

equitable ones, has had some sort of restriction when its rulers have felt it would

Thriving Generations Of The House Of Medici
The Impact of the Thriving Generations of the House of Medici The Renaissance
was an essential time period in European history, which occurred roughly between
1300 and 1600 in Florence, Italy. During this epoch, attributes of the Renaissance,
such as Classical humanism and an upbringing of political life spread throughout
Western Europe. Moreover, out of the 50,000 people in Florence, around 100 families
have influenced the Renaissance s attributes; the most notable of these being the
Medici family (Fiero 377 378). Beginning with Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s
establishment of the Medici Bank, the family acquired a significant amount of
wealth, rising their power during the fourteenth century. The bank expanded to the
farthest corners of Europe, in which they obtained political control over Florence and
the Church. Apart from the political influence, out of the four generations of the
House of Medici, Cosimo, or Cosimo the Elder, and Lorenzo, or Lorenzo the
Magnificent, have influenced the components of Classical humanism, consisting of
art, architecture, and literature. Due to their gain of wealth from the hands of
Giovanni di Bicci de Medici, the family was appointed succession over Florence,
allowing them to contribute to the rise of humanism and political ideals across
Europe. Because Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s establishment of the Medici Bank
has provided wealth under the Medici family name, the family was able to take over
the reign of Florence. The Medici

BIOMATERIALS
ADVENT
One of the earliest uses of non biological materials within the body was the wooden
toe prosthetic in 1065 740BC in early Egypt. However, research within the field and
therefore the 1st generation of biomaterials was recognized a lot of conspicuously in
1960 to 1970. Throughout this time period biomaterial research encompassed all
materials designed to be used within the body. These materials... Show more content

Growth enhancing materials are added to cell media to promote cell line growth.
Disadvantages:
Inhibit biomedical analysis by limiting access to materials and strategies that are key
to developing new treatments. Patents may also impede analysis if they produce a
cumbersome or costly tollbooth through that researchers should pass.
Provide no incentive for biomedical analysis if there s no profitable market for
ultimate treatments, as is the case with some rare diseases or diseases affecting
individuals within the developing world.
Drive up the price of health care if patent holders charge excessive costs for
proprietary diagnostic tests and treatments. (Josephine Johnston and Angela
Wasunna,2007)
USES:
The use of biological materials is generally safer for human patients by reducing the
chance of infection and rejection. Biological materials can be found in many
industries including education, research, medicine, dentistry, engineering, and paper
and textile development. Examples of biological material application are given below.

Sophocles The King, Oedipus The King
Sophocles Stage Sophocles plays are among some of the best written performances of
the 5th century, and they have evolved into several modern theatrical productions and
movies. Although not written as part of a trilogy, Sophocles three interconnected
plays focus on the same dysfunctional family: Antigone, OedipusRex (Oedipus the
King) and Oedipus at Colonus. His second play Oedipus the King continues to awe
the audiences today as much as it entertained Sophoclesaudience. There existed then
and now a fascination with this defected group of individuals that others still seek to
transform and capture with their spins and surprises; nevertheless, the innermost
secrets of desire and power and terror remain constant no matter the version.
Recognizing Sophocles distinct style begins with the changes he introduced to the
stage. For instance, he took a cue from Aeschylus contribution to moving away from
the dithyrambs (Ode to Dionysus) and satyr plays (chorus consistent of 50 men
dressed as satyrs) add a secondary actor (the antagonist) and cut the number to the
chorus. Sophocles deviations increased the chorus from 12 to 15 and introduced a
third actor and an emphasis in drama between humans rather than between humans
and gods (Botinelly 7). The addition influenced his rhetoric which allowed the Greek
tragedian the opportunity to exercise stichomythic dialogue efficiently, thus
enhancing the tension in the scenes between Oedipus and Tiresias in Act I and

My Trip To Cedar Point
June 2015 I went to my favorite place in the whole world, Cedar Point. Cedar Point
smells like happiness and cotton candy. Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio
and is one of the top amusement parks in the United States. I have been 5 times,
but my favorite trip was with my family and best friend Allie. We went to stay for a
week like we always do. This time Allie and I would get to walk around the
amusement parkall by ourselves, that made us feel like such adults. I rode lots of
roller coasters and went down many water slides. My favorite ride is Millenniun
Force. It is such a forceful ride I swear every time I ride it I lose my vision. We only
rode that ride one time because after it finished Allie about thought she died. This was

It is such an adrenaline boost. My dad and brothers love this place as much as I do
but since Uriah and Zachary are older they didn t go with us this summer. We used
to always go when we were younger and it was always the best times, but what
made this trip one of my favorite of all time is that I got to go on all the thrilling
rides with my best friend. Allie and I loved the ride the Raptor. The Raptor was
one of those rides that your feet dangled from. There were certain rides that Allie
would not ride with me so my dad would always be my riding partner on the ones
that she would always chicken out of riding. Castaway Bay is Cedar Point s water
park. I am not one to love water parks but Castaway Bay is the best water park I
have ever been too. They have the biggest variety of water rides. Even Though I
am not the biggest fan if water rides this is my favorite water park. We spent every
morning at the waterpark and every afternoon/ night at the amusement park. For
lunch and every sometimes for dinner Allie and I would eat Chinese food from
Panda Express everyday. Now just the smell of panda express takes me back to that
trip. The last night we were there the park put on a show for all the little kids where

The Definition of Family in Slave Communities Essay
The definition of family has changes dramatically over the course of history,
especially from culture to culture. It is quite interesting to research the definition of
family within slave communities because the slave definition of family not only
changed from plantation to plantation, but also slave to slave. Upon reading the
secondary sources, The Shaping of the Afro American Family, by Steven Mintz,
Susan Kellogg, Marriage in Slavery, by Brenda Stevenson, and Motherhood in
Slavery by Stephanie Shaw, and the primary sources WPA Interviews of former
slaves conducted in the 1930s. Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal
Writers Project, 1936 1938, throughout all of these readings there seemed to be some

Some mothers did not have any choices and had to bring their children with them
to work, one mother brought her child and left him underneath the tree and said
the tree was her child s nurse. (Shaw) According to the secondary source, Mothers
in Slavery, in Virginia women were convicted of murder of their children and were
hung, mainly because they had no money, or property to pay as fines for their
crimes. It seems likely that it could have been because of poor nutrition, low birth
weights, poor pre and post natal care. Also according to the secondary source, a
woman was very smart by threatening to kill her baby if her slave owner separated
her from her child (baby). (Shaw) Infanticide also happened mainly because of
opposition of sexual and economic exploitation. A sad story was about two parents
who mutually agreed to send their children s souls to heaven instead of descending
them to the hell of slavery. (Shaw) Many parents also tried to punish their children
so when they became ready to serve their slave owners they would be ready and
follow the rules. Children were taught early to work and to work well and trained by
parents (mothers) and other older people how to do certain jobs at a very young age.
I seems that these child rearing techniques are even taught today, children are
constantly taught how to act which will hopefully help them in their future
endeavors, it

Plea Bargaining
Introduction
Much of the criticism leveled at the legal system in general and the criminal justice
system in particular is well deserved, but one feature of the criminal justice system
poorly understood and thus unfairly judged by both the public and the media, is the
process of plea bargaining. Because criminal defendants have no incentive to plead
guilty as charged, and because the number of cases that would otherwise need to be
tried vastly exceeds the resources available to try them, plea bargaining is a strategy
for avoiding total gridlock.
Definitions of Plea Bargaining The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
NaГЇve defendants may enter into plea agreements with prosecutors not knowing that
they have the right to litigate fully any charges against them.
However, according to the Fifth and Sixth Amendments of the United States
Constitution, no person shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness
against himself (self incrimination), and in all criminal prosecutions, the accused
shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury, to be confronted
with witnesses against him.
Advantages of Plea Bargaining There are several advantages for plea bargaining.
Some include; reducing the uncertainties of criminal trials, fewer trials and trial
delays, more convictions, and reducing the costs of trials. Some other advantages of
plea bargaining are that victims are spared either the trauma or inconvenience of
testifying, according to the nature of the case, and the prosecution is spared the risk
of acquittal.
Disadvantages of Plea Bargaining The concrete disadvantage is that there is some
reduction in the conviction offense or sentence or both, although the outcomes of
responsible plea bargaining are not dramatically different from probable outcomes
absent plea bargaining. The most significant disadvantage of plea bargaining,
however, is the abstract one it involves negotiating with criminals and rewards their
refusal to

  • 2. Comparing The Two Brother And The Little Match Seller It is often that you do not take chance in life become cautious and give up on what you are doing but in The Two Brother and The Little Match Seller. Both of these text talk about or have caution in the story weather it is to do something or stand up for some one they both have caution. In the Two Brothers it is about a magical rock that has a message on it and one Brother goes and the other Brother stays home. In the Little Match Seller it is about a girlwho lives with her dad and he is very mean she then one night sees her grandmother who is dead and dies on New year s eve. Other might think that theses texts are about people who have unfortunate events that happen in their life, but a better theme is when you are cautious you will always miss out on things in life. This theme is shown in the Two Brothers when they find the tablet and one Brother goes on the adventure while the other one stays home and in, The Little Match Seller the Little Girlis so cautious of what she does and she then gets motivation from her grandmother to stand up for herself. In the Two Brothers it is obvious that the little brother is a lot more during and the older brother is more cautious of what he does. For example at the begining of the story it says I am not going into the forest after bear cubs, said the elder brother, and I advise you not to go (Tolstoy,P1) This evidence show that right in the beginning of the story the older brother is more wise and the younger brother is more

  • 4. Description Of A Man s Voice We sat on a cheap wooden bench in the security room in the back of Lord and Taylor, our bags lay on their sides, the contents spilled across the concrete floor. Little white tags hung from the fabric, a few seams were noticeably ripped along the side ribbing of the clothing. Computer screens encompassed the room, the surveillance footage rotated intermittently from Camera 1 to Camera 2 to Dressing Room Camera. The man s voice was barely audible through the wall behind me, as he called my parents and the authorities. He came back into the room with the woman who had grabbed my arm as I exited the department store, announcing that the price for all of the products I had stolen totaled to approximately $1,300 though he hadn t calculated in the damages of the torn clothing where the security buttons were ripped out. My best friend, better known as my fellow thief, called her mom to retrieve us. I used the thick silence of that car ride to prepare something mitigating to say to my mother. When I delicately, respectfully, quietly entered the foyer, my mom sat waiting, drilling me with questions. As I entered the foyer, my mom, who had been undoubtedly stewing in her own thoughts as she awaited my arrival, drilled me with questions. Why would you do this? Because it s fun. Who made you do this? As if I can t make my own decisions and fuck up my life on my own. How long has this been going on? I told her once before but in reality it had been going on for a while. WHY? Why not?

It is better understood as the process of selective breeding can improve human society. The term eugenics is from the greek, meaning well born . The way eugenics will be used is by correcting genetic problems in embryos. Soon enough a parent will be able to find out the accurate view of their child s genes, allowing any defects to be seen. If the child seems perfectly healthy no changes will be made. On the other hand if a problem is spotted the parents may choose to go through with gene therapy, also known as eugenics. This process will not only be able to identify health problems, but also personality traits. It allows the baby to be deigned to the parents desire. There are many pros and cons to this concept, which is a reason why there are questions to whether the situation can be resolved or not. One of the greatest benefits of eugenics is the possibility of fighting illnesses and curing types of cancer. The chances of cancer or genetic illnesses is when the persons genes are altered and the traits are passed on to their children. A way to prevent genetic illness is when the doctor injects an artificial human chromosome into the fertilized egg, which will cause the child to cancel the effects of the illness as the child grows. A result of this would be that people will be able to live longer and healthier lives. By using this method, there is a possibility to creating the perfect child as it can possibly alter the behavioral and physical traits as well. Although there are positive effects there can also be many drawbacks. In a way eugenics can be compared to
  • 6. One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest Analysis In One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest, by Ken Kesey, the climax occurs when Nurse Ratched, the antagonist, forces the men who return from the boating trip to shower, causing a violent melee that leads to the book s resolution. McMurphy, one of the protagonists in the story, arranges a special boating trip to let the other men in the ward have a sense of happiness and independence. As Nurse Ratched discovers that the men interact with a prostitute, she furiously demands the men to cleanse their bodies. George expresses his disapproval of the nurse s demand due to his phobia of cleanliness, and McMurphy and Chief Bromden physically fight the nurses as a part of their protest. In the end McMurphy and Chief Bromden relocate to the Disturbed Ward for their extreme behavior: They kept talking like that, to cheer us up and make us feel better, about what a fight, what a victory as the Big Nurse helped the aides from Disturbed adjust those soft leather cuffs to fit our arms (234). The main theme of the novel, the overthrowing of authority comes to a close, and Nurse Ratched finally captures McMurphy, the man who encourages the rest of the patients to resist her oppression. This climatic scene contributes to the resolution: the weaker party, or the patients, win by proving their point of intolerance towards authority, yet Nurse Ratched remains the ultimate person in control. Shortly after the incident, Nurse Ratched metaphorically and literally sucks the life out of McMurphy with

In addition, it will explore the proposed health care plans of two 2016 presidential candidates and the position they take in regards the big issues. The uninsured and acquiring access to health care is one of the problems that the United States faces in regards to health care. An obstacle that individuals face is that gaining access to health care is linked to having a job. However, the problem does not stop there. The problem continues in the form that not every job gives people access to health care. Many employers will stop from offering individuals full time status because then they would have to offer some type of insurance plan. The Delphic oracles were primarily female prophets who were told to have inhaled certain vapors from a spring in the temple of the Greek god, Apollo, which allowed the prophets to serve as a supernatural connection to the specific God. Despite the historical evidence that supports the idea of the mysterious oracle vapors, modern day archeologists and geologists rejected the idea completely. Finally, industrialization played a factor as well because manufacturing of weapons and transportation went up in Germany all in preparation for war. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, the biggest key in what started the war was when Austria s Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. When this happened Austria immediately turned to consult with the hot headed Germany in which they handed Austria a blank cheque and told them they stood behind any decision they made. To me that basically sounded as though Germany was trying to use Austria as a puppet to start the war they wanted all along. Also, since Germany was being very lenient on the political groups power, the groups wound up being able to pressure leaders into positions on problems the leaders themselves didn t even agree on. Take the German chancellor, Bethmann Hollweg for example, he was generally known for his peaceful takes on matters concerning his country, but when the Pan German League and the Central League of German Industrialists started disagreeing with those views, his takes on situations became more of those political groups
  • 24. Conflict Between Conflict And Conflict Management Conflict and conflict management both play pivotal roles in all relationships, whether they are between friends, family, lovers, or coworkers. However, while most relationships have an abundance of conflict, the amount of properly implemented conflict management in all relationships is relatively low. This is especially surprising when you consider the sheer amount of research and counseling directed at managing conflict in constructive ways. Though the aforementioned services and research are of extremely high quality, the people who would benefit from them the most are either entirely unaware of their existence, associate them a negative stigma, or simply don t have strong conflict managementskills. I want to advocate the effectiveness of counseling programs available to help people in relationships resolve conflicts in a positive way, as well as explain some basic aspects of conflict managementin a simple, easy to understand text. One such service with a negative stigma associated with it is relationship counselingor couples therapy. Too many people think that couples therapy is just an expensive way of extending a relationship by a few months, only to inevitably break up a few months down the line. But, contrary to what most people believe, the purpose of relationship counseling isn t to extend or fix relationships. While it is awesome when counseling achieves these things, the main goals usually consist of improving communication, teaching the, win /win conflict

Many different religions began to pop up during this time, and each vied for the attention of potential converts. However, a boy Joseph Smith decided to seek the true religion through prayer, and he was told none of them was true. This is a story that every member of The Church of JesusChrist of Latter day Saints learns about when they are young. The principle that I will be studying this paper is that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and by understanding this we know that the fullness of the gospel has been restored to the earth today. God reveals through revelation that Joseph Smith is his chosen servant, meaning a prophet. Heavenly Father explains to the readers that Verily, I say unto my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., [...] I called you servants for the world s sake, and ye are their servants for my sake (D C 93:45 46). What would the nation do if Florence Nightingale did not notice the unsanitary conditions of the military hospitals? The uncleanliness of the hospitals would kill the patients before the diseases do. Nightingale left an impact on the history of nursing. Nightingale s strong values influence the future nurses of today (Stichler, 2014). Florence Nightingale was the founder for nursing. Even though Nightingale s family was against the career of nursing, she pursued her passion of learning to care for the ill. She strived to help the people sick and in need. Nightingale showed her caring heart when she helped cure soldiers during the Crimean War. She showed her compassion as she helped the wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Over time, Nightingale noticed the unsanitary conditions at the base hospital. Since the conditions were extremely unsanitary, Nightingale recorded the mortality rate of the soldiers. According to her data, the soldiers hospitalized were seven times more likely to pass away from unsanitary environments and not injuries from the battlefield. After the environmental conditions improved, the mortality rate decreased from 60% to 2%. With the help of fresh fruits and vegetables, Nightingale helped improve the mortality rate drastically. Nightingale brought attention to the unsanitary environments of the hospital.

Participants were randomly selected in a manner that represented all social characteristics that existed among Canadians. Technically, it was estimated that the number represented only 2.7% of the Canadian population. It is also on record that the 2006 PUMF involved a total of 123 population variables, of which 83% (102) represented individual variables, while the remaining 17% (21) of all variables used represented family, dwelling, and household variables. The purpose of this research is to determine how the cost of shelters and age distribution affects the Aboriginal people of Canada in relation to the 2006 Census Public Use Microdata File (PUMF) on individuals. The research employs both age distribution and shelter cost as major variables affecting the Aboriginal population. The research will conduct an inferential statistical analysis on three major variables: Aboriginal population, shelter cost, and age. For the purpose of this research, both age and shelter costs will be employed as independent variables relating to the overall Aboriginal population, which is the dependent variable. His second play Oedipus the King continues to awe the audiences today as much as it entertained Sophoclesaudience. There existed then and now a fascination with this defected group of individuals that others still seek to transform and capture with their spins and surprises; nevertheless, the innermost secrets of desire and power and terror remain constant no matter the version. Sophocles deviations increased the chorus from 12 to 15 and introduced a third actor and an emphasis in drama between humans rather than between humans and gods (Botinelly 7).
