Next Generation Sequencing can help determine inheritance patterns, distinguish cancer diagnoses, and assess cancer recurrence risks. It can identify whether bladder cancer will remain localized or develop into a more invasive form. Those with the progressive form have a 5.4% survival rate within 5 years if it becomes metastatic.

Cancer • Bladder Cancer – T1NP: T1 non progressive cancer • Patient may have multiple recurrences of the disease without developing muscle-invasive tumors – T1P: T1 progressive cancer • Patient’s disease develops into muscle invasive tumors and becomes metastatic. • Once metastatic, cancer survival is around 5.4% at 5 years
