This document discusses the impacts of climate change on different regions of the world. As global warming increases beyond 2°C, the risks of severe and pervasive climate impacts are expected to increase around the world in locations like the Arctic, small island states, and regions vulnerable to sea level rise. While adaptation is already occurring, mitigation efforts are also needed to reduce climate change risks and ensure adaptation is sufficient. The Paris Agreement of 2015 aims to keep global warming below 1.5°C.
