4. Skin Cosmetics
Skin cosmetics are the range of
products that support skin integrity,
enhance its appearance and relieve
skin conditions. They can include
nutrition, avoidance of excessive
sun exposure and appropriate use
of emollients.

5. Nails
Cosmetics
Nail cosmetics are the range of
products that are basically
decorative in function. Some
products also nourishes the nails by
making them shinier and hard.

6. Hair Cosmetics
One of the widely used category of
cosmetics with a large variety of
products. Hair cosmetics basically
includes the products that
nourishes, maintains hair, control
hairfall, maintains colour and cleans
dandruffs.

7. Teeth and
Mouth
Cosmetics
Oral care cosmetics can be broadly
divided into dentifrices:
preparations for external use that
clean the teeth and the area
surrounding them; they cleanse and
refresh the inside of the mouth,
prevent dental caries and
periodontal diseases; and mouth
fresheners, preparations taken
internally to prevent nausea, and
other feelings of discomfort.

Eye care cosmetics includes
products that protect, decorate and
nourishes the eyes. Eye care
cosmetics also includes
pharmaceutical products like eye
drops, etc.

Cosmetics
The products that falls under the
category of Cosmetology and
Therapeutic Medicine. In order to
impart therapeutic properties BAA
(Biologically Active Additives) are
added to cosmetics. A large of
these bioextracts are of plant origin.

Cosmetics
Cosmetic products that focuses on
the protection of the skin and other
parts. For example, protection from
UV rays, IR rays, Bacteria, Hair Fall,
etc. Many of the protective
cosmetics falls under the drug
regulatory authorities.

12. Corrective
Cosmetics
Cosmetic products that hides facial
blemishes including acne, angioma,
rosacea, hyperpigmentation, vitiligo
and other skin disorders. These
cosmetics have significant impact
on patient's quality of life, their
relationship with others and self-
esteem.

13. Decorative
Cosmetics
Cosmetic products that focuses on
products that is used for decoration
of body parts such as hairs, nails,
eyes , lips, etc. These includes multi
coloured products that are extracts
of plants and others.

E.g, Shaving Creams, Bathroom Cleaners, Rug Shampoo, Hair Spray, etc.
Cakes - Cosmetic products are available in the form of solid cakes.
E.g, Face Powders, Compact Powders, Rogue Compacts, etc.
Emulsions - Emulsions are fine disperison of minute droplets of one liquid in
another.
E.g, Face Creams, Lotions, etc.
Oils - Oils are widely used in cosmetics.
E.g, Body Oils, Hair Oils, etc.

Pastes - A paste is a thick, soft, moist, substance typically produced by
mixing dry ingredients with a liquid.
E.g, Tooth Pastes, Deodorant Pastes, etc.
Powders - Fine, dry particles produced by the grinding, crushing, or
disintegration of a solid substance.
E.g, Talc Powder, Tooth Powder, etc.
Solutions - A homogenous mixture that contains two or more substances in
it.
E.g, After Shave Lotions, Hand Lotions etc.
Soaps and Sticks - They are solids having various products in them.
E.g, Soaps, Lipsticks, etc.
