Piped LPG gas supply is provided through an underground main pipe with lateral pipes installed to homes as an alternative to LPG gas cylinders. It has advantages over cylinders like not needing refilling so no handling or damage, providing continuous supply, being easy to access, paying based on consumption, increasing safety, saving space, and providing energy 24 hours. Safety measures for piped LPG pipelines include proper design and installation of the system, proper training to handle it, and regular inspection and maintenance.

Product Review Fuel Saving Hydrosynthetic Hydraulic Fluid

Devon Energy deployed an emission-free vapor recovery system using Copeland Scroll compressors to capture vapors from a 2,000 barrel oil storage tank in New Mexico. The Scroll compressor eliminates oxygen entry and emissions while precisely controlling tank pressure through variable speed operation. This has resulted in nearly 100% system availability with maintenance reduced from weekly to annually. The system recovers over 60 MCF of high-BTU gas per day, worth over $400,000 annually, while allowing Devon Energy to achieve emissions compliance.

CO2 enhanced oil recovery (CO2-EOR) involves injecting carbon dioxide into depleted oil reservoirs to increase oil production. CO2 acts as a solvent, reducing oil viscosity and allowing more oil to be extracted. CO2-EOR has been applied successfully in light oil reservoirs undergoing primary and secondary recovery. It works through various flooding patterns and relies on the pressure and properties of the injected CO2 to displace oil towards producing wells. Successful CO2 floods have achieved 15-20% or more additional oil recovery and also provide a means to store carbon dioxide underground. The U.S. has significant potential to apply CO2-EOR techniques and further develop domestic oil reserves while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Heavy Fuel Oil plays a major role in the Power Generation Sector. It is used as a direct Fuel in Oil fired Thermal Plants and as a Start-up Fuel and a Supplemental Fuel in Coal Based plants. Emulsified HFO brings all its benefits from increased economy to reduced maintenance when it replaces stock HFO in this sector. It can even be used in Gas Turbines and its clean combustion makes it a cheap viable alternative to either NAtural Gas or Naphta.
