Life style is the way in which a person lives.
Health Behavior:
Health behavior is an action taken by a person to maintain, attain, or regain good health and to prevent illness. Health behavior reflects a person's health beliefs. Some common health behaviors are exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, and obtaining necessary inoculations.
Preventive Health Behavior:
Any activity undertaken by an individual who believes himself to be healthy, for the purpose of preventing or detecting illness in an asymptomatic state.
Illness Behavior:
Any activity that undertaken by an individual who perceives himself to be ill.
Sick Role behavior:
Any activity that undertaken by an individual who considers himself to be ill, for purpose of getting well. It includes receiving treatment from medical providers, generally involve a whole range dependent behaviors and leads to some degree of exemption from ones usual responsibilities.
Lifestyle is a term which can have at least three different meanings:
1. The values that a person expresses with reference to a limited number of basic dimensions (freedom, justice, equality etc)
2. A group or cluster of attitudes, opinions, interests and activities.
3. Actual patterns of behaviors eg, lifestyle characterized by substance abuse or an active leisure time involving sports, work in political organizations, etc.
Healthy lifestyle refers to basic human functions and the patterns linking various activities of everyday living .these activities includes eating and drinking ,physical activity, use of tobacco, alcohol and substance abuse, sexual behaviors, coping with stress, self care, working ,caring for others and the quality and safety of home, workplace and other built environments.
Not all disease are preventable are preventable, but large proportion of deaths, particularly those from coronary heart disease and lung cancer can be avoided. A healthy lifestyle is a way of living that lowers the risk of being seriously ill or dying early.
Determinants of health strongly influence lifestyles. These include individual behaviors and biology, economics, social, psychological, and physical environments and access to healthcare. Promoting healthy lifestyle involves enhancing individual responsibility and capability as well as enabling environments.
Today in this busy and competitive world we are concentrating only on the negative aspects of life like prestige,power,knowledge, etc and we are not considering our health as momentous. "One becomes aware of its value only when it is lost". Similarly "one becomes alert to his health only when he lose it".

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
