Simplifying Jon Stewart s The Daily Show
Jon Stewart is looked at as a rude person who just make jokes about the mistakes made by the U.S
Government. People have to realize he s just comedian who has freedom of speech when ever he feels
its necessary to speak on things in public. The Daily Show is good for entertainment and information
that some people don t know nothing about. Its not ruining American Democracy just because he
points the mistakes the government makes. I even make fun of it myself sometimes. I will be
simplifying my reasons on why Jon Stewart s The daily Show is not bad is a good, entertaining
program. Also, I will be using accurate evidence from the information I was given through every
paragraph to support my choice.
The government makes mistakes in the public that some of us citizens don t see. Stewart points out
those mistakes in an entertaining way to keep people tuned in and informed as well. Jon Stewart helps
young citizens gain enough information and knowledge to understand American Democracy. If we
don t know what our governors, president, and vice presidents etc.. is saying during public
announcements and speeches that are important than we ll be lost. Stewart s show is basically getting
people to view those issues in an entertaining way and not being bored throughout the shows. ... Show

According to Klinge Klinge (1983), German Expressionism is a creative movement that originated in
Germany in the 1920s, before the First World War which consist of many different creative media
such as visual art, literature, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, as well as the cinema because the
world of cinema is also impacted by it. German expressionism is generally defined as the rejection of
Western conventions, and the depiction of reality that is widely distorted for emotional effect. In that
period, it s visual style and themes portrays the social and personal strike felt in Germany. Artists
project their human feelings through their films by turning inward. This produces a series of dark and

Furthermore, the direct effect of film producers that relocated from Germany to Hollywood
advancements in style and technique which were initiated through Expressionism in Germany inspired
modern filmmakers from outside Germany and were integrated into their movies and into the
framework of international cinema from the 1930s forward. This influence can be seen in the rest of
Hitchcock s career. Hitchcock`s third movie, The Lodger , was greatly impacted by German
Expressionism which extends to lighting techniques, set designs, and trick camera work to the British
public against the desires of his studio. Films made by Hitchcock has in its turn impacted many other
film producers and so he has been one of the vehicles that spurred German Expressionist techniques

The Pharos Lighthouse: Seventh Wonder of the Ancient World
The buildings of early Egypt were so impressive that two became known as wonders of the ancient
world. The first was the Great Pyramid of Giza which was built during Egypt s earliest thriving years.
Despite being considerably older, this pyramid dwarfs the seventh wonder of the ancient world the
Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria which was constructed over 2000 years later. Built by one of the last
rulers of ancient Egypt, Ptolemy I Sorter, the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria sadly has been almost
entirely lost, due to what is thought to have been the work of earthquakes. Even so, the Pharos
Lighthouse was estimated to be the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From a poet named Poseidippos of Pella, who lived in Alexandria during the third century BC, we
learn that this statue almost certainly depicted Zeus the Savior, and he may have been accompanied by
Poseidon, the lord of the waves. However, others have suggested that the two statues depicted the
Dioscuri, who were the twin sons of Zeus and Leda and protectors of seafarers. In fact, a gem which
has recently been examined suggests that in fact the beacon on the lighthouse may have been open and

Investigating the Extent to Which Historians Can Be Objective
Investigating the Extent to Which Historians Can Be Objective

the future. The present attempt does not yield to that high office. It will merely tell you how it really
was Leopold Von Ranke
There are no facts, only interpretations Nietzsche
Here we encounter two diametrically opposed views concerning objectivity. It can be argued that true
objectivity cannot exist, as history is more exposed to differing interpretations than any other
discipline and to be factual , dispassionate or truly objective would be at best unrealistic and at worst
impossible. Historians, in their selective ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even their personal writing style might mirror this. Also, historians have been known to be
deliberately selective about which facts they present and which they don t. It could be argued that facts
in history are never pure they come to us distorted, refracted by the writers own interpretation. This
means that the reader must in turn also be selective, critical and analytical about the facts presented to
them. The readers own understanding is formed by their own political, ideological or moral
consciousness.
Leopold Von Ranke advocated historical objectivity. His approach was to avoid applying the spirit,
modes of thought, wisdom and beliefs of the present to the events of the past this is known as
historicism and was pioneered by Giovanni Battista Vico by only using contemporary accounts and
records. His tagline became Wei es eigentlich gewesen (How it actually happened). Ranke distrusted
historical textbooks, and argued that primary rather than secondary sources should be used. Arthur
Marwick has slightly similar views regarding the nature of source material, also drawing a distinction
between primary and secondary sources. To him, primary sources carry the most authority and
historical value. He does not altogether rule out secondary sources, but argues that as these are filtered
through other writers, their objectivity suffers and are therefore less reliable /

The Freedom Writers, Newly Licensed High School
In the movie The Freedom Writers, newly licensed high school teacher Erin Gruwell is teaching a
large group of students who are different in race and ethnicity and are participants and/or indirectly
affected by gang violence in L.A. The name Freedom Writers is a name given to her students by which
they were inspired by the Freedom Riders activists in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. The
film is based on the true story of Woodrow Wilson High School in L.A. that has given up on students
such as Erin Gruwell s English students that they are perceived by the school as hopeless students with
little chance of success in life or even graduation. But Erin, alone, inspires dozens of her students into
changing their perceptions of education and inspires them to break out of falling into their respective
stereotypes given to them. In the film, there are struggles that Erin goes through to try to educate these
teenagers such as little support from her fellow colleagues, racial stereotypes and discriminatory
perceptions of her students by the staff members, hostility towards Erin from her students, racial
barriers between her and her students while Erin is also having personal life problems with her
marriage. But eventually, through preservation, patience, kindness, and understanding, Erin gradually
makes breakthroughs with her children by giving her students journals to understand them better.
Throughout the film, we learn about the background stories of the teenagers through

Analysis Of What We Really Miss About The 1950 s
What We Really Miss About The 1950 s An award winning writer and internationally recognized
expert on the family, Stephanie Coontz, in her article, What We Really Miss About The 1950 s, states
that In a poll by the Knight Ridder News Agency, more Americans chose the 1950 s than any single
decade as the best time for children to grow up. However, Coontz has her own view of the 1950s, and
she illustrates her own opinions about this decade using strong and logical facts. While the nostalgia
of the 1950s is vastly strong in some people, some fail to notice the negativity and the reality of it. The
decade of the 1950s represents an era where life was balanced, simple, and innocent. A time in the
American history where a high school education promised a comfortable living and where family
values were presented to audiences through television shows. In the article, Coontz argues that the
simplicity and innocence that the people who lived in this time period enjoyed came at a high price.
Coontz claims that generally those who felt that the 1950s was the best time for children to grow up
would show their dislike for the treatment of women. They also would add that they would not
particularly enjoy living with the most of the fathers they knew in their neighborhoods. She also points
out the economic and social reasons why the 1950s is so appealing to quite a lot of people. There were
lower divorce rates, federal economic expansion programs, corporate tax programs, and

Western Techniques In The Searchers
Foreword: It should be noted that while this written piece compares and contrasts The Searchers to the
concept of the stereotypical Western film , the film would most certainly have shaped the mould for
what the stereotypical western was to become. Being one of the largest early Western films to release,
the film s once relatively unique storyline and thematic content have become subject to being
replicated in more recent Western films. Therefore, when comparing the film to the now conventional
Western, it should serve moreso as a critique of the unoriginality of those that contributed to the genre
following The Searchers release.
Introduction
For what is arguably the most successful film to emerge from his long spanning career, film director
John Ford s The Searchers has certainly earned its place as one of the greatest western films of all time
. However, while the film is certainly a staple among other classic 1950s productions, the genre of
Western film does not carry nearly as much weight as it once did over half a century ago. In recent
decades, the genre has grown stale among audiences due to more recent additions, composing of
tedious storylines, repetitive run of the mill characters, and as a whole becoming incongruous with the
evolved social climate which pursues racial equality in the United States. Being grouped with this
genre, The Searchers is often overlooked by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bio Composite
Through research about composite and bio composite, there are many advantage and disadvantages in
aircraft construction. Definition for composite, a material that are made from two or more constituent
materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties when combined, produce a
material with characteristic different from the individual components. The individual components
remain separate and distinct within the finished structure. In aircraft, the first composite aircraft was in
1916, era of World War 1, when British launched a Bristol Scout from Felixstowe. Between the World
War, American experiments with airship composites led to the construction of two aircraft carriers,
while the British Short Mayo seaplane composite demonstrated successful transatlantic mail delivery.
During the Second World War, some composites saw operational use including the Mistel, the larger
unmanned component of a composite aircraft configuration developed in Germany at the end of World
War 2. Experiments continued into the jet age, with large aircraft carrying fully capable parasite
fighters or reconnaissance drones.

Forensic Dentistry
Forensic dentistry, also known as forensic odontology is an important ,reliable source of evidence in a
criminal investigation which is both accessible and unique. One of the early applications of forensic
dentistry was in the death of Agrippa, the mother of Roman Emperor Nero, in 49 BCE. This shows the
usefulness of forensic dentistry even with basic tools and that forensic dentistry is not a new
occurrence. ( Freeman). Forensic dentistry is related to my Shop dental assisting because it Involves

In these cases, accurate dental records can often help to make a positive identification on unknown
damaged bodies. In addition, dentures help to find victims without identification due to some bone
melting and what, not dentures do not damage that easily. In cases like this, dental records indicate if
the person had dentures or what other easily identified characteristics there are within a person s jaw.
In some cases, it is naturally easier to identify a person with dentures, as they are custom made for the
wearer.Tooth structure is very durable due to enamel ,which provides a strong coating over the teeth.
Similarly, dentures are durable enough to survive a lot of wear and tear. Dental records were most
likely the primary source of identification after the 911 attacks in New York in 2001 ( Mady). In
horrific cases like 9/11 dental records often have to be used, because every other source of DNA, like
hair, will burn in the disaster. When a body burns it is completely demolished in minutes , and this is a
good reason to use forensic dentistry to identify bodies which are burned, traumatized, or in other
ways made to be difficult to identify, and this is a good reason to use forensic dentistry to identify

believed that her mother had loved her. All along while living with T. Ray Lily would imagine all the
nice things her mother used to do with her, like brush her hair and buy pretty dresses for her. It was
this faith in her mother s love that got her through these tough times. Accordingly, it was Lily s faith in

who had always been there for her. She had faith that Rosaleen did not deserve to be in prison. It was
also Lily s strong faith that allowed her to succeed in finding the answers to her mother s past. Lily

The Nature Of An Industry s Competitiveness And Develop...
Summary The five forces model was developed by Michael E. Porter to help companies assess the
nature of an industry s competitiveness and develop corporate strategies accordingly. Michael Porter s
five forces model is based on the insight that a corporate strategy should meet the opportunities and
threats in the organizations external environment. Especially, competitive strategy should be based on
an understanding of industry structures and the way they change. Porter has identified five competitive
forces that shape every industry and every market. These forces determine the intensity of competition
and hence the profitability and attractiveness of an industry. The objective of corporate strategy should
be to modify these competitive forces in a way that improves the position of the organization. Porters
model supports analysis of the driving forces in an industry. Based on the information derived from
the Porter s Five Forces Analysis, management can decide how to influence or to exploit particular
characteristics of their industry. This paper will analyze Porter s five competitive forces model and
will apply the concept to discuss and structure a new office of Travel service sponsored by

A Brief Note On John Snow As A Surgeon And A Doctor
19th Century
John Snow was a qualified as a surgeon and a doctor in 1838. Dr Snow was interested in how cholera
spread through drinking water and observed that people who drank water and drank water from the
one company was most likely to come across this disease than the people who do not drink that
company s water. Dr Snow planned a map which he noted all the cases of cholera and then realised
that all the people who were ill were getting their water from the same and only pump, which it
supplied water that came from the sewage contained river Thames. People also used different pumps
to get water but did not get the infected. This is when Dr Snow established that was connection
between cholera and contaminated water. He identified all the aspects and also looked at the sources
of the infected water, and realised that all the contaminated water came from the broad street water
pump, so he went to the broad street water pump and took the handle of the pump and got rid of the
outbreak of cholera. (Stretch and Whitehouse 2010)

The Twentieth Century In The 20th Century
The 20th century is the bloodiest century in history when we look at death tolls alone. The twentieth
century saw the Armenian genocide, Holodomor, and the Holocaust. The Holocaust was performed
very systematically and is one of the main reasons why people were murdered so systematically
during the twentieth century. This has been due to increase of technology, rise in authoritarian rule,
and increased industrialization. First, the increase in technology really helped increase death count
during genocides as the increase technology of weapons has been speeding up the process of
genocide, We can see this in the Einsatzgruppen, the Einsatzgruppen were killing units that would
follow the Wehrmacht in their advance and kill Jews and other ethnicities. They carried out mass
killings, mainly by shootings were the gun could kill the victim fast without much of a hassle. The
speed at which the Einsatzgruppen killed was indescribable as without the use of gun, it would have
taken a lot more time. However, the increase in technology also found something more effective than
bullets, gas. Zyklon B was used to great extent during WWII in Nazi gas chambers which were part of
the final solution. These gas chambers could run through tens of thousands of Jews in mere days
which is why it was the choice of the Nazis. These gas chambers horrified the world when they were
discovered as the scale of death they were used for was never seen before. The gas chambers are a
huge reason why so many

Battle Of Guadalcanal Essay
Z Hamill 1 The Battle of Guadalcanal was one of the fiercest battles of World War II. About 1,600
Marines and soldiers from the US Army were killed and 4,700 were wounded. For the Japanese, it was
an absolute bloodbath; 25,400 were killed. Additionally, both sides lost about 25 major warships. The
high death toll caused the Japanese to evacuate Guadalcanal, and soon after the United States declared
it was secure. The Americans captured only a handful of prisoners because the Japanese were trained
to fight to the death, not to surrender. It was the first major offensive for the United States after a
surprise attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
The island of Guadalcanal is part of the Solomon Islands (now controlled by the British.) it was in the
Western Theater of war. It is east of Papua New Guinea and Northeast of Australia. The conditions on
Guadalcanal have been described by many historians as hell on earth with the torrential downpours

The Three Pieces Of Art
The three pieces of Art chosen to be discussed in this essay range in style and meaning but all seem to
tie together a symbol of power. In Sutton Hoo the wealth is shown through the purse lid and it
exquisite components it was made from, the Bayeux Tapestry shows the power of the Norman
Conquest and their leader William the conquer, and finally the immaculate Sistine Chapel with
emphasis on The Creation of Adam that shows the power of God and also the skill of Michelangelo.
The Roman Legions withdrew from Britain in about 410 CE and over the next 150 years (where
almost no records survived) the British began to gain most control and create a new social structure
and culture, this began to divide the land into a bunch of Anglo Saxon kingdoms. Sutton Hoo is a
series of 6th to 7th century burial mounds found in Suffolk, England. The largest and first excavation
began in 1939 by Basil Brown. This excavation lead to the discovery of a 90 foot long ship, and the
what is believed to be the burial site of Raedwald leader of the Wuffing Dynasty. It was in the mound
that the Purse cover was discovered. The original records of the find were destroyed in World Was II
and only a few pictures remained as evidence. From 1965 1971 the mound was excavated again along
with mounds 5,6,14,17, and 18, the archeologist discovered 39 burials most believed to between the

What Are The Main Features Of Local Government Act 1979
Provincial Local Government Ordinance 1979
This period marked the second wave of local government reform a military regime. The system of
local government introduced in 1979 by General Zia ul Haq was the most representative in nature
since independence. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, elections to all local councils in both
rural and urban areas were held simultaneously on the basis of adult franchise and under the aegis of
independent provincial election authorities.
Features of Provincial Local Government Ordinance:
The special features of the 1979 local government system can be described as follows:
Local government laws relating to rural and urban areas were unified and harmonized.

Planning, development and maintenance of public welfare centers, orphan houses and organizations.
Analysis:
The local bodies were made independent from the bureaucracy under the Local Government
Ordinance of 1979.
The local bodies were vested with administrative, judicial and financial powers to make them effective
institutions.
They were authorized to get loans from national and international Banks to complete their plans for
the people s development.
The elections of local governments were held on non party basis.
The local governments were dependent upon the provinces from senior appointments to the request
for more resources or permission to increase taxes and rates.
The budgets of the local governments were also to be approved by the provincial governments. It

Essay Of Mice And Men
Of Mice And Men is a classic novella written by author John Steinbeck, who is renowned for his
mastery of realistic and imaginative writings. He is most well known for his novelette, Of Mice And
Men, a story which follows George Milton and Lennie Small, two traveling laborers who work in
order to make money to purchase their own farm. George is characterized as smart and having a one
track mind, while Lennie is slow but friendly. This book is considered a classic by many, however, the
book sheds light on topics that deemed distasteful or abhorrent by many. Though Steinbeck is
protected by the First Amendment, his most noteworthy work, Of Mice And Men, should be barred

Accuracy or Inaccuracy of Sensory Perception
Provide at least three (3) reasons for believing in the accuracy or inaccuracy of sensory information.
Sensory perception is the foundation of scientific knowledge and philosophical reality. This is one of
the reasons for believing the accuracy of sensory information. Science depends on the standardization
of sensory input and instruments. Human sensory organs are generally the same across the species,
with few exceptions. One of the reasons why sensory information is accurate is that all human beings
can basically agree on data such as the sky being blue, satin being soft, and sugar being sweet. The
fact that sensory information provides a common ground for people being human is one of the reasons
for believing in the accuracy of sensory information. Another reason for believing the accuracy of
sensory data is that it can in many cases be measurable and predictable. This is why sensory
information provides the foundation for empirical measurements and scientific data.
However, there are also reasons for believing the inaccuracy of sensory information. Reasons include
the variability of the human experience, including situational variables like sleep deprivation, hunger,
or emotional state of being. Sensory information will be distorted when a person is too tired, angry, or
hungry. Another reason to doubt the accuracy of sensory information is that not all hypotheses or
issues lend themselves to be measured using sensory data. Cultural differences, gender norms, and

Alabama s Confederate Flag Controversy
Alabama s Confederate Flag Controversy The outlining issue here is the Confederate Flag and its
perception amongst the Alabama population. Debating on whether the flag should be taken down in
respect to citizen who are offended because of its close relation to the history of slavery in America.
The opposing side felt that it is a part of southern/the south s history, pride and should be honored.
Also, the opposing side feels that with other issues happening in the community; this debate is not
something that should take priority over what they believe were severe matters. The issue gained
attention in 1988 when thirteen black legislators were attempting to jump a fence to extract the
confederate flag from a top of the Alabama s capitol flagpole. Governor, at the time, Guy Hunt had the
men arrested and this arrest became national television news coverage. One contributing factor for this
incident gaining a high volume of attention, was Tom Reed. Tom Reed was one of the black Tuskegee
legislator, leader of the thirteen men and at the time current president of the NAACP Alabama chapter.
Tom Reed and Guy Hunter are the results of a dispute lasting over two decades. Beforehand Governor
George Wallace used the position of the flag as a symbolic opposition to the Attorney General Robert
F. Kennedy coming to Alabama back in the 1960s. While this act did not engender as much attention
as the actions of the black legislators, but that was in part due to the fact that blacks during

Research Paper On The Milkmaid
The milkmaid is an oil on canvas of 45.5 x 41 cm by the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. The
maid is standing in a plain scullery type room carefully pouring milk into an earthenware container
sitting on a small table next to a still life arrangement of stale bread pieces and a full bread basket.
From the way that the maid dresses up, I think The Milkmaid prescribes a woman in the middle class.
The artist uses almost all implied lines. Taking the face of the milkmaid as a starting point, it is
important to focus on the light coming from the window and reflecting directly upon her face in
shadows and pale scales therefore, creating an effect of three dimensionality. It makes the viewers
focus what the maid is doing: pouring milk. Then we will see a line between the milk vessel and the
bread. I also see a line from the bread basket in the left foreground to the maid s head. These lines
intersect at the maid s wrist, which lead us to the action that she is doing. Other lines in the work are
the window and framework, the edge of the table, the outline of the woman s clothes, and the bottom
of the wall. These implied lines are less important than the line from the maid eyes. If you take a
closer look, you will see a parallel line between the slant of the basket to her diagonal slant of her arm
and head.

The Effect Of Sound On A Film Scene

Effect of Sound on a Film Scene Sound and music in the cinematic context is an effective means of
means of communication. Motion picture soundtrack, sound effects, background music, diegetic and
non diegetic sound can supplement, enhance and expand upon the meaning of the film s narrative. The
overlap and interaction of dialogue, sound effects, atmospheric sound, score music and silence create a
harmonious and synchronized counterpoint to the image of the scene. Music in a film creates a point
of experience for the spectator. Patterns of tension and release exemplified by the sound of the scene
provide a sense of organization, connection and meaning to the audience. In my short clip from 12
years a Slave I have used music as a part of cinematic diagesis as well as a means of communication
to my audience the psychological drama of the narrative at the subconscious level.
Sound in a scene can communicate meaning and give life to a moving image. As I created the music
for the scene I had certain intentions as a director and composer which required the construction of a
multifaceted soundtrack to convey the narrative of the scene. The music is chosen and composed to
elicit emotional response and ways in which it can convey the dramatic intentions of the film
narrative. As music can convey the scope of a film, I used music in my scene to show it as an epic
drama. I tried to use sound in my scene is such a way so as to not

Tableau Slope Analysis
The formula for slope is y=mx+b, the slope could either be positive or negative. And we can calculate
that in Tableau. However in Tableau, it does not give you all the necessary data values to calculate the
slope. From the images of the dataset provided in the article, they only provide you with the x value
and the y intercept, but does not provide the slope. So in order to calculate the slope you must find the
slope intercept, in the case where a data is set as a data, you could still calculate the slope but must
decipher the date to the serial number that would give you the slope intercept which allows you to
calculate the slope in whole. In a case of using multiple trend lines and order by years such as let s say

values from the data source and format them the way we can use them in a calculation. We can then

Persuasive Pet Store
Wandering into a pet store; aww you squeal. There a corral full of wriggling cute little puppies awaits.
Expeditiously you hop in and play with the animals. The puppies stampede, falling over one another
to earn a bit of affection. As a result, your body fills with oxytocin, the love hormone. Directly you
envision the love to grant and receive from the cute puppy. Eventually, you are compelled to bring one
home. The sweet smell of puppy breath has intoxicated you. However, I urge you, not to buy this
puppy. When purchased from a store, a profit driven industry that harms numerous animals receives
support. Despite the inconvenience, you should adopt your pet, not buy it.
Contrary to the convenience of buying from a pet store, finding a pet that fits a family at rescues and
shelters can be time consuming. Likewise, pet stores are afforded the convenience and offer
immediate gratification by refraining from performing time consuming activities such as background
checks, applications, or home visits; the only requirement is payment. When purchasing a pet, a crate

Evaluation of Murder Essays
Evaluation of Murder
A good law should be clear so both the judge and jury can apply it in a reasonable way, this makes it
easier for the jury to follow and provides a consistent outcome. It should be consistent, if not one
person could do exactly the same crime as another and they could have completely different sentences.
Consistency makes the law fair which is another important element of a good law. The law should
reflect the degree of fault and punish the defendant in a suitable way; this also provides justice for the

In Omissions the duty in certain relationships is solely case law, this means you must wait for a case to
happen before you can know whether a duty exists. This means the law might be flexible but it is not
consistent. A possible reform would be to pass legislation setting out the situation where a duty exists.
However, it would be difficult to come up with a definitive list. The law commission report in 1993
suggests only omissions would count in serious offences against a person.
For the mens rea there is a problem with the wording, malice aforethought either expressed or implied
. Lord Gibbord 1988 said malice aforethought was misleading as you don t need to have malice (i.e.
spite) or aforethought (i.e. planned or premeditated). The Mens Rea for murder is interpreted as an
intention to kill or cause GBH. This is a common law definition and is subject to change, making it
flexible but also causing uncertainty.
There are problems with intention also because it has never properly been defined and cases like
Moloney and Hyam only set out guidelines and judges tend to alter between the two. This causes
confusion and uncertainty and leads to jury s verdicts being unfair and inconsistent. It also means that
the decision is opened up and leads to members of the jury being influenced by personal prejudices.
The mens rea of implied malice means a defendant can be convicted

Louisiana Creole Culture

Diversity of Louisiana Creole Culture Louisiana Creoles are persons descended from the inhabitants
of colonial Louisiana during the period of both French and Spanish rule. These imposed meanings
varied from descendants of French and Spanish aristocrats to racially mixed or to anyone of African

essential nature of this vanishing, alternative culture. Their diversity is well pronounced as a populous

The Country Project And Wine Essay
Introduction
The reason we choose Italy as our country project and wine as our product of choice to export into

The Importance Of Effective Education
Recently, an research article caught my attention in how teachers in promoting inclusive education for
children experience disability and with additional educational needs. In the article, the child diagnosed
with Down Syndrome participates in the classroom experiences with the other children in the
mainstream school, but with supports and adaptations as needed. The teacher creates the opportunity
for the child to share his knowledge with the other children and support their learning, while also
catering his individual needs in supporting him in communication and social skills. The article
illustrates the key elements of inclusion practices in practice. What inclusion actually means for us as
early childhood educators? The following essay is designed to examine those contributing factors
involved in the inclusive education.
Inclusion is strongly supported by international, national, and state policy, legislation. The right to an
inclusive education is addressed in both the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention
on the Rights of Persons with a Disability. Additionally, the Australian Government expresses its
commitment to inclusive education in an array of documents and policies, including the National
Disability Strategy, the Australian Curriculum, the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the
National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia . (Kathy, 2013).

People have to realize he s just comedian who has freedom of speech when ever he feels its necessary to speak on things in public. The Daily Show is good for entertainment and information that some people don t know nothing about. Its not ruining American Democracy just because he points the mistakes the government makes. I even make fun of it myself sometimes. I will be simplifying my reasons on why Jon Stewart s The daily Show is not bad is a good, entertaining program. The Pharos Lighthouse Mark Dahlman McCarthy, Brendan History 2213 17 October 2014 The Pharos Lighthouse: Seventh Wonder of the Ancient World The buildings of early Egypt were so impressive that two became known as wonders of the ancient world. The first was the Great Pyramid of Giza which was built during Egypt s earliest thriving years. Despite being considerably older, this pyramid dwarfs the seventh wonder of the ancient world the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria which was constructed over 2000 years later. Built by one of the last rulers of ancient Egypt, Ptolemy I Sorter, the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria sadly has been almost entirely lost, due to what is thought to have been the work of earthquakes. Investigating the Extent to Which Historians Can Be Objective Investigating the Extent to Which Historians Can Be Objective You have reckoned that history ought to judge the past and to instruct the contemporary world as to the future. The present attempt does not yield to that high office. It will merely tell you how it really was Leopold Von Ranke There are no facts, only interpretations Nietzsche Here we encounter two diametrically opposed views concerning objectivity. It can be argued that true objectivity cannot exist, as history is more exposed to differing interpretations than any other discipline and to be factual , dispassionate or truly objective would be at best unrealistic and at worst impossible. Historians, in their selective ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even their personal writing style might mirror this. Also, historians have been known to be deliberately selective about which facts they present and which they don t. It could be argued that facts in history are never pure they come to us distorted, refracted by the writers own interpretation. This means that the reader must in turn also be selective, critical and analytical about the facts presented to them. The readers own understanding is formed by their own political, ideological or moral consciousness. Leopold Von Ranke advocated historical objectivity. His approach was to avoid applying the spirit, modes of thought, wisdom and beliefs of the present to the events of the past this is known as historicism and was pioneered by Giovanni Battista Vico by only using contemporary accounts and records. His tagline became Wei es eigentlich gewesen (How it actually happened). Ranke distrusted historical textbooks, and argued that primary rather than secondary sources should be used. Arthur Marwick has slightly similar views regarding the nature of source material, also drawing a distinction between primary and secondary sources. To him, primary sources carry the most authority and historical value. He does not altogether rule out secondary sources, but argues that as these are filtered through other writers, their objectivity suffers and are therefore less reliable / ... • 8. Analysis Of What We Really Miss About The 1950 s What We Really Miss About The 1950 s An award winning writer and internationally recognized expert on the family, Stephanie Coontz, in her article, What We Really Miss About The 1950 s, states that In a poll by the Knight Ridder News Agency, more Americans chose the 1950 s than any single decade as the best time for children to grow up. However, Coontz has her own view of the 1950s, and she illustrates her own opinions about this decade using strong and logical facts. While the nostalgia of the 1950s is vastly strong in some people, some fail to notice the negativity and the reality of it. The decade of the 1950s represents an era where life was balanced, simple, and innocent. A time in the American history where a high school education promised a comfortable living and where family values were presented to audiences through television shows. In the article, Coontz argues that the simplicity and innocence that the people who lived in this time period enjoyed came at a high price. Coontz claims that generally those who felt that the 1950s was the best time for children to grow up would show their dislike for the treatment of women. They also would add that they would not particularly enjoy living with the most of the fathers they knew in their neighborhoods. She also points out the economic and social reasons why the 1950s is so appealing to quite a lot of people. There were lower divorce rates, federal economic expansion programs, corporate tax programs, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Western Techniques In The Searchers Foreword: It should be noted that while this written piece compares and contrasts The Searchers to the concept of the stereotypical Western film , the film would most certainly have shaped the mould for what the stereotypical western was to become. Being one of the largest early Western films to release, the film s once relatively unique storyline and thematic content have become subject to being replicated in more recent Western films. Therefore, when comparing the film to the now conventional Western, it should serve moreso as a critique of the unoriginality of those that contributed to the genre following The Searchers release. Introduction For what is arguably the most successful film to emerge from his long spanning career, film director John Ford s The Searchers has certainly earned its place as one of the greatest western films of all time . However, while the film is certainly a staple among other classic 1950s productions, the genre of Western film does not carry nearly as much weight as it once did over half a century ago. In recent decades, the genre has grown stale among audiences due to more recent additions, composing of tedious storylines, repetitive run of the mill characters, and as a whole becoming incongruous with the evolved social climate which pursues racial equality in the United States. • 17. The Nature Of An Industry s Competitiveness And Develop... Summary The five forces model was developed by Michael E. Porter to help companies assess the nature of an industry s competitiveness and develop corporate strategies accordingly. Michael Porter s five forces model is based on the insight that a corporate strategy should meet the opportunities and threats in the organizations external environment. Especially, competitive strategy should be based on an understanding of industry structures and the way they change. Porter has identified five competitive forces that shape every industry and every market. These forces determine the intensity of competition and hence the profitability and attractiveness of an industry. The objective of corporate strategy should be to modify these competitive forces in a way that improves the position of the organization. Porters model supports analysis of the driving forces in an industry. Based on the information derived from the Porter s Five Forces Analysis, management can decide how to influence or to exploit particular characteristics of their industry. The twentieth century saw the Armenian genocide, Holodomor, and the Holocaust. The Holocaust was performed very systematically and is one of the main reasons why people were murdered so systematically during the twentieth century. This has been due to increase of technology, rise in authoritarian rule, and increased industrialization. First, the increase in technology really helped increase death count during genocides as the increase technology of weapons has been speeding up the process of genocide, We can see this in the Einsatzgruppen, the Einsatzgruppen were killing units that would follow the Wehrmacht in their advance and kill Jews and other ethnicities. They carried out mass killings, mainly by shootings were the gun could kill the victim fast without much of a hassle. The speed at which the Einsatzgruppen killed was indescribable as without the use of gun, it would have taken a lot more time. However, the increase in technology also found something more effective than bullets, gas. Zyklon B was used to great extent during WWII in Nazi gas chambers which were part of the final solution. These gas chambers could run through tens of thousands of Jews in mere days which is why it was the choice of the Nazis. These gas chambers horrified the world when they were discovered as the scale of death they were used for was never seen before. The gas chambers are a huge reason why so many ... • 27. Accuracy or Inaccuracy of Sensory Perception Provide at least three (3) reasons for believing in the accuracy or inaccuracy of sensory information. Sensory perception is the foundation of scientific knowledge and philosophical reality. This is one of the reasons for believing the accuracy of sensory information. Science depends on the standardization of sensory input and instruments. Human sensory organs are generally the same across the species, with few exceptions. One of the reasons why sensory information is accurate is that all human beings can basically agree on data such as the sky being blue, satin being soft, and sugar being sweet. The fact that sensory information provides a common ground for people being human is one of the reasons for believing in the accuracy of sensory information. Another reason for believing the accuracy of sensory data is that it can in many cases be measurable and predictable. This is why sensory information provides the foundation for empirical measurements and scientific data. However, there are also reasons for believing the inaccuracy of sensory information. Reasons include the variability of the human experience, including situational variables like sleep deprivation, hunger, or emotional state of being. Sensory information will be distorted when a person is too tired, angry, or hungry. Another reason to doubt the accuracy of sensory information is that not all hypotheses or issues lend themselves to be measured using sensory data. Cultural differences, gender norms, and other ... The maid is standing in a plain scullery type room carefully pouring milk into an earthenware container sitting on a small table next to a still life arrangement of stale bread pieces and a full bread basket. From the way that the maid dresses up, I think The Milkmaid prescribes a woman in the middle class. The artist uses almost all implied lines. Taking the face of the milkmaid as a starting point, it is important to focus on the light coming from the window and reflecting directly upon her face in shadows and pale scales therefore, creating an effect of three dimensionality. It makes the viewers focus what the maid is doing: pouring milk. Then we will see a line between the milk vessel and the bread. I also see a line from the bread basket in the left foreground to the maid s head. These lines intersect at the maid s wrist, which lead us to the action that she is doing. Other lines in the work are the window and framework, the edge of the table, the outline of the woman s clothes, and the bottom of the wall. These implied lines are less important than the line from the maid eyes. If you take a closer look, you will see a parallel line between the slant of the basket to her diagonal slant of her arm and head. So in order to calculate the slope you must find the slope intercept, in the case where a data is set as a data, you could still calculate the slope but must decipher the date to the serial number that would give you the slope intercept which allows you to calculate the slope in whole. In a case of using multiple trend lines and order by years such as let s say 2010 to 2017, the formula as shown in the image starts to look like multiplying the year by the addition of the ... Thus if we want to have the correct result, we must multiple the addition of week of order and intercept by the serial number of the date data value. I think we could post the trend line equation as long as we can pull the correct data values from the data source and format them the way we can use them in a calculation. The puppies stampede, falling over one another to earn a bit of affection. As a result, your body fills with oxytocin, the love hormone. Directly you envision the love to grant and receive from the cute puppy. Eventually, you are compelled to bring one home. The sweet smell of puppy breath has intoxicated you. However, I urge you, not to buy this puppy. When purchased from a store, a profit driven industry that harms numerous animals receives support. Despite the inconvenience, you should adopt your pet, not buy it. Contrary to the convenience of buying from a pet store, finding a pet that fits a family at rescues and shelters can be time consuming. Likewise, pet stores are afforded the convenience and offer immediate gratification by refraining from performing time consuming activities such as background checks, applications, or home visits; the only requirement is payment. • 36. Evaluation of Murder Essays Evaluation of Murder A good law should be clear so both the judge and jury can apply it in a reasonable way, this makes it easier for the jury to follow and provides a consistent outcome. It should be consistent, if not one person could do exactly the same crime as another and they could have completely different sentences. Consistency makes the law fair which is another important element of a good law. The law should reflect the degree of fault and punish the defendant in a suitable way; this also provides justice for the family within the law. In Omissions the duty in certain relationships is solely case law, this means you must wait for a case to happen before you can know whether a duty exists. This means the law might be flexible but it is not consistent. A possible reform would be to pass legislation setting out the situation where a duty exists. However, it would be difficult to come up with a definitive list. The law commission report in 1993 suggests only omissions would count in serious offences against a person. For the mens rea there is a problem with the wording, malice aforethought either expressed or implied . Lord Gibbord 1988 said malice aforethought was misleading as you don t need to have malice (i.e. spite) or aforethought (i.e. planned or premeditated). The Mens Rea for murder is interpreted as an intention to kill or cause GBH. This is a common law definition and is subject to change, making it flexible but also causing uncertainty. There are problems with intention also because it has never properly been defined and cases like Moloney and Hyam only set out guidelines and judges tend to alter between the two. This causes confusion and uncertainty and leads to jury s verdicts being unfair and inconsistent. It also means that the decision is opened up and leads to members of the jury being influenced by personal prejudices. The mens rea of implied malice means a defendant can be convicted ... • 39. The Importance Of Effective Education Recently, an research article caught my attention in how teachers in promoting inclusive education for children experience disability and with additional educational needs. In the article, the child diagnosed with Down Syndrome participates in the classroom experiences with the other children in the mainstream school, but with supports and adaptations as needed. The teacher creates the opportunity for the child to share his knowledge with the other children and support their learning, while also catering his individual needs in supporting him in communication and social skills. The article illustrates the key elements of inclusion practices in practice. What inclusion actually means for us as early childhood educators? The following essay is designed to examine those contributing factors involved in the inclusive education. Inclusion is strongly supported by international, national, and state policy, legislation. The right to an inclusive education is addressed in both the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with a Disability. Additionally, the Australian Government expresses its commitment to inclusive education in an array of documents and policies, including the National Disability Strategy, the Australian Curriculum, the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia .
