General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and Rwanda
The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1947 functioned as a means of adjusting trade
relationships between countries trying to improve their economies. Contracting parties to this
agreement have been bound by it to treat other contracting parties on an equal and reciprocal basis as
well as to curb protectionism. At the start of 1995, the GATT has been succeeded by the World Trade
Organization (WTO) and has since been the most important development in international trade.
However, it is still essential to note that the GATT as amended is still the central piece of the WTO
law . A Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) has been set up under Article IV of WTO Agreement and the

This principle is set out in Article III (1) GATT 1994 where it states that contracting parties recognize
that internal taxes and other internal charges and laws, regulations which affects the internal sale,
offering for sale, purchase, transportation, distribution or use of products, and internal quantitative
regulations requiring the mixture, processing or use of products in specified amounts or proportions,
should not be applied to imported or domestic products so as to afford protection to domestic
production . Case referred to would be the Gasoline case . In this case, Rwanda may claim that the act
of Australia forbidding their exports of coffee and timber from entering the Australian market is an act
which breaches Article III GATT 1994. This is because this prohibition does not amount to the
treatment of the nationals and products of another country the same way it treats the domestic
nationals and products . In addition there is also a breach in Article III (1) GATT 1994 as the
Australian government has imposed laws and regulations on the coffee and timber of Rwanda which
subsequently affects the offering of sale as well as the distribution or use of those products . Next,
Rwanda could claim according to Article XI GATT 1994. It is stated that non discrimination among
contracting parties is required in administering quantitative

Barn Owl Research Paper
Birds have fascinated people for years. Whether it s their striking color, lovely songs, care for their
young, or ( most often ) their ability to fly. Not all birds however fall into each one of these
catergories. One species, for example, are the owls. Owls are not the brightest color and don t have as
lovely songs as a canary. They are different from many birds including other birds of prey. To look at
all these wonderful owls would take more than a few pages so we will look at one, the Barn Owl.
What is a barn owl? That is a simple question with a long answer. The story of the barn owl has
changed throughout the years. It is best to start in the beginning. In the very beginning God created all
living things including the barn owl. The first recorded time humans interacted with these birds was in
ancient times. During this time people thought owls in general were spirits who had magical powers.
These people either worshipped owls or feared them varying on their beliefs. Ancient Europeans and
Native Americans from Tennessee used to draw them on cave walls. Now the barn owl s name makes
sense. It is obviously an owl that lives in barns. What is an owl though? It is an awfully peculiar word.
This strange word comes from the Old English word ule. This word might be even more ... Show

They don t need speed though because their prey can t hear them coming. They can fly without making
a sound. Barn owls have soft fringes on the leading edges of their wing feathers. Scientists believe this
causes silent flight. Their bones arre very light. This is great for the barn owl because when it flys it
doesn t have a lot of weight to carry around. The barn owl only weighs just below or above a pound.
Their bones are of air pockets and crossbraced with solid shafts to make them strong. Their are bigger
than their body so they can carry both bird and prey together. (Below is a skeleton of a barn

Log Cabin Research Paper
The Log Cabin Republicans is an organization that helps build a more stronger union of equality, free
market, individual liberty and many more . They have chosen to start this party for the sole purpose of
helping to stop the intolerance towards gays and lesbians. The name Log Cabin came from President
Abraham Lincoln who was born in a log cabin, so they chose to name it after him. Not only was he the
inspiration for the name he was also an inspiration for the faction. The original name of the faction
was Lincoln Club but the name was already taken by another Republican (GOP) group so they had to
change it to something else. The faction was built on Abraham Lincoln s principles of Liberty and
Equality.

It had turned out that he was in the lead of winning the most votes and was going to actually win. But
with the help of many Republicans and Democrats that were against the campaign for the gay and

conservatives turned to get help from former governor Ronald Reagan who was applying to become

The objective of the study was to examine the dissociative phenomenology of dissociative Identity
Disorder (DID). The Multidimensional Inventory of Dissociation (MID) was administered to 34
patients with DID, 23 patients with dissociative disorder not otherwise specified (DDNOS), 52
patients with mixed psychiatric disorder, and 58 normal people. DID patients acquired essentially
higher scores than the other three gatherings on 27 separation related variables. DDNOS patients had
essentially higher scores than normals and mixed psychiatric patients on 17 and 15 dissociation related
variables, separately. The discoveries of the present study are for all intents and purposes
indistinguishable to an extensive assemblage of recreated discoveries about the dissociative
phenomenology of DID. This wide scope of separation related marvels, which routinely happens in
people with DID, is generally truant from the DSM IV TR record of DID. Element examination of the

Monetary Unit
The monetary unit is the principle states that you only record business transactions that can be
expressed in terms of a country s currency. For example if your business is operating in Oman than the
currency should be in Rails and if the company is in America it should be in dollars. And also the
currency that is chosen depending on the country is expected to be stable over some time in terms of
purchasing power (monetary unit, 2016).
Proof: In the non profit organization of Greenpeace this concept is used under all the units, they used
the currency of Euros thousands (£) at the above of every transactions and units showed above as
Euros thousands which shows that this organization has used the currency of euro while In the profit
organization of Microsoft also used the currency of Dollar ($) which has represented all of its units
and transactions and it is clearly showed above the units as dollar.

Puritans Influence On Today s Society
Today, people describe the Puritans with their biased point of view. It is not unfathomable why people
do not like the Puritans. The Puritans society and today s society are very different. Puritan society
was very restrained; people could only believe in God and the Bible was the law. Unlike Puritan
society, today s society does not restrain religion. Even though Puritans had bad influences on today s
society, Puritans played a pivotal role in constructing the USA. If you look around more carefully, you
will easily realize that some things that you took for granted were actually influenced by the Puritans,
and they are very significant and necessary to today s society. The Puritans influences on today s
United States are found in the areas of economy, government, education, church, and social mores.
The Puritans influences on the economy are very palpable. On the US dollar you can clearly see the
statement In God we trust. Money is the most significant tool in an economy; therefore, a statement
about God on the money of the USA accentuates the Puritans role in determining the economy of the
United States. Today, people recommend frugality. Even people like Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, and
Warren Buffet do not use their money prodigally. Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, only has
$100,000 car; Carlos Slim, the second richest man in the world is known for his stinginess he even
checks how much he spent for his socks; lastly, Warren Buffet, the third richest man

The Maya Civilization During The Preclassic Period
It was during the Paleo Indian period when early nomads crossed into the Americas over 15,000 years
ago. These were the First People to inhabit the Americas. They d first crossed into North America until
eventually splitting off from other groups and eventually migrating south through Mexico into the
Yucatán Peninsula of Mesoamerica.
These migrating First People in the Maya region developed their tool and hunting technologies and
went from being nomadic hunter gatherers into forming more permanent settlements. These settled
groups became more developed as they exploited the plentiful local resources.
These now settled groups progressed into the Archaic period and began advancing into a more
complex society. These archaic settlements developed culture and technology that was shared with
neighboring settled groups. The exchange of ideas between these groups formed into a shared culture
that began developing into a culturally distinct people.
The Maya Civilization originated in the Yucatán region during the Preclassic Period at around 2000
BC. There is some argument as to when the Preclassic Period began for the Maya. It s argued to have
began as late as 2600 BC, while there s claim that it s earlier because there are permanent Maya
settlements along the Pacific coast that date to 1800 BC. A difference of eight hundred years,
depending on region.
The Preclassic period begins where the first signs that the Maya can be recognized as a distinct
people. The two

Strength is In the Eye of the Beholder
In my quest to create a well rounded and A+ worthy essay about Shakespeare s As You Like It, I came
upon key elements of popular culture pertaining to feminism and the rhetoric used to describe it. Of
course, strong female character is a term thrown around plenty now days, however, I never took a
moment to contemplate what it meant. Unfortunately, my research dredged up a plethora of unsettling
ideas about what traits strong females posses, and has led me to think films should no longer portray
what is now classically called strong and instead produce more realistic female characters, thus
redefining a more positive representation of women. Without this awareness, young adults will
continue to believe that a strong woman falls into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She does not rely on super human ability or talent, but instead hard work and perseverance. She is
truly heroic, for courage is defined as the ability to do something that frightens one and through each
of the films she shows us the terror she is living in and her ability to overcome it.
This fictitious strong female is a symptom of a greater problem, one that has stemmed from former
cultures surrounded by the gender roles put in place by society. Rosalind from As You Like It, while
superficially powerful is also weakened by her choices. She recognizes her weakness as a woman
when she states, Beauty provoketh thieves sooner than gold, and decides to dress as a man as she
ventures into the world (Page 26). Although this is a different time it is still relevant as her only
strength comes from donning a costume of a man. In modern film, female characters classified as
strong are picking up traits considered more masculine and emulating men, although not physically.
To compensate for this loss of obvious gender roles in clothing, females have been given their
femininity back on only a cosmetic level, while increasing male ideals drastically proving to audiences
it just a character and they have no need to fear the loss of their well known ideas about men and
women. People find comfort in tradition, and Shakespeare provides closure by having Rosalind spend
the entire play working towards getting a man, and then returning

for the deployment of automated systems in the mine sites through the MOF project. It does not only
reduces the risk but also reduces the cost of money spent on labors in order to increase the production

while his father s image is blurred sitting in front of Benjamin and blocking most of his face. His

about his future his parent does not even care a bit and insist that he goes down stair because they are
eager to show him to the guest. As he head toward the steps, there was portrait of a clown at the top of
the stairs symbolizing that he is headed to a social circus as if he was in a costume putting on an act
like they are show casing him for entertainment and no one takes him seriously.
As Benjamin transition out of adolescent, he constantly struggles with the decision regarding his

Essay on The End of the World
Where are we going? This is a fundamental question, one of several asked by the founders and
thinkers of the world s largest religions. Each of the major religions has its own answer, and the study
of these answers is called eschatology. In this essay, I ll take a secular look at the eschatological
evolution of the Abrahamic religions, from Judaism to Christianity and finally to Islam. I will discuss
the impact of these apocalyptic scenarios on people who do not practice each faith, and show that
ultimately, answers to life s questions come from within. The Abrahamic religions are those that claim
Abraham as the forefather of all men, and their original prophet. More generally, they worship the
same God as the biblical Abraham and fight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Judaism is one of the oldest religions still in practice. Molloy asserts that the Jewish religion predates
recorded history. Its chosen people, the Hebrews, suffered great injustice throughout most of antiquity,
and most modern day Jews have older relatives who suffered during the Holocaust in the mid
twentieth century. Yet through devout faith in God, the tradition survives to this day. Part of the reason
Jews maintain their faith in the face of seemingly endless persecution is the belief that a messiah will
appear, as described in the Book of Isaiah: In all of My sacred mount/Nothing evil or vile shall be
done; /For the land shall be filled with devotion to The Lord/As water covers the sea (qtd. in Van
Voorst, 230). Jews believe that a leader, descended from David and Solomon (Isaiah 11:1), will
vanquish evil, and bring about the World to Come, ushering in a two thousand year period of
godliness. During this new golden age, the temple at Jerusalem will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40), and God s
plan will come to completion. What is this plan? Then will I purify the lips of the peoples, that all of
them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him shoulder to shoulder, (Zephaniah 3:9).
Through the Messiah, God will unite all people with a common language so that they may stand
together and serve the Lord in perfection. Indeed, all the people who have ever lived will rise to

The Importance Of Effective Teaching Practices Essay
Demonstrating Effective Teaching Practices Criterion two of the Teacher and Principal Evaluation
Program is Demonstrating Effective Teaching Practices (CEL 5D+, 2014, p.3). The focal point of this
criterion is developing teaching practices that engage all or most students. Implementing effective
teaching practices positively affects students in a variety of ways. It allows students to learn the
necessary skills for them to be independent lifelong learners, helps them develop a deeper
understanding and meaning of texts, find solutions to real world problems, increase comprehension,
thinking and reasoning skills as well as increases achievement (Alozie Mitchell, 2014; Chun Jang,
2012; Murphy, Wilkinson, Soter, Hennessey, Alexander, 2009; Ong, Hart, Chen, 2016; Patrick, Ryan
and Kaplan, 2007; Van de Pol, Volman, Oort, Beishuizen, 2015). Criterion two includes four sub
criterions. This section will provide a description and empirical evidence to support the following four
sub criterions: quality of questioning, expectation and support and opportunity for participation and
meaning making, substance of student talk and finally, scaffolding tasks. Quality of Questioning The
first component of the second criterion is quality of questioning (CEL 5D+, 2014). In order for
teachers to become proficient in this area they must frequently ask[s] questions to probe and deepen

his way of teaching and explaining things, this has made it even more exiting. Jay has a simple way of

he had given an interview to the news and how he explain it to them how the automotive program

Jay as an instructor is very good and his ethics are very admirable to me. He would always try to

and do research in the lab in order for you to get familiar on how to use the different automotive
programs that was being offered. He would give you multiple ideas and scenarios of what can happen
and when and how it happens. Most of the time all the different circumstances that he would used

would mentioned how important it is to give your personal best and to think of how it is regarding

An Analysis Of The Dominion Board Game Essay
An Analysis of the Dominion Board Game
Dominion is a deck building game playable by 2 4 players that will take approximately half an hour.
Players compete against each other in a multilateral competition where the player with the most
victory points at the end of the game wins.
The game begins with ten (usually random) piles of resource cards being laid on the playing
area/table, along with the treasure, victory and other various cards. Each player is given an initial 10
cards as their starting deck (a.k.a. their Dominion ) and they each draw 5 cards as their starting hand.
They then take turns playing cards from their hands according to the cards instructions, and acquiring
new cards from the piles in the middle while trying to improve their dominion. Each turn players draw
5 more cards and once their deck gets depleted they re shuffle their discarded cards back into it. The
game ends after any 3 piles of resource cards have been depleted or when the province victory cards
have been depleted. The core gameplay revolves around each player using cards in their hands that
they have drawn from their deck to acquire additional resources, sabotage other players or bring the
game closer to the end (or a combination of these). The games core mechanic is building (it is a deck
building game after all) since you spend the whole game growing and expanding your deck. Dominion
also features emergent gameplay, since although most of Dominions cards have very basic rules (such

Romeo And Juliet Romantic Love Essay
American author and psychotherapist, Robert A. Johnson, once said, Romantic love, being the single
greatest energy system in the Western psyche, is a tremendous power that attracts. Romantic love is
compelling and influential, however it is not the only kind of love. Love comes in many different
forms each with their own special bond between the lovers. Some of these different types of love are
friendship, unrequited love, parental love, love of family honor, and romantic love. Many of these
distinct types of love are present in William Shakespeare s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, a play
about two young lovers from feuding families who are destined for doom. In the play, Romeo

For instance, when Romeo drinks the poison to kill himself, he declares, Here s to my love [drinks] O
true apothecary./ Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die. (V. iii. 119 120). Romeo s action of
killing himself implies that he would rather die than have to live his life being separated from his lover
Juliet. Romeo s romantic love for Juliet was so influential that it drove him to kill himself, which no
other kind of love had the power or impact to do. When Juliet awoke from her faked death and found
Romeo s body, she was devastated and reacted to the death of her love the same way Romeo did, by
killing herself. For example, after discovering Romeo s dead body, Juliet comes upon Romeo s dagger
and picks it up while stating, This is thy sheath; there rust and let me die. [She stabs herself and falls.]
(V. iii. 170). Juliet s action of killing herself is prominent in the story because it establishes the
strength of love. Juliet loved Romeo enough to commit suicide, which indicates that the romantic love
Juliet had for Romeo was more significant than Juliet s will to live. Romeo and Juliet s decision to kill
themselves reveals the dominance of romantic love over other types of

In 1882, Walt Whitman published Specimen Days, a memorandum that encompasses many aspects of
the Civil War. A section of Specimen Days is titled, The Million Dead, Too, Summ d Up The
Unknown. In this section, Whitman is trying to make sense of the Civil War s incomprehensible
destruction. Whitman was having a hard time grappling at the fact that just, so many people were
dead, and just how destructive the war was. This was a common problem. Individuals as well as both
the Union and the Confederacy were facing problems as they tried to grapple with the enormity of
human suffering and loss wrought by the Civil War, which served to wedge the warring parties further

graves left in the woods or by the road side, (hundreds, thousands, obliterated) the corpses floated
down the rivers, and caught and lodged, (dozens, scores, floated down the upper Potomac, after the
cavalry engagements, the pursuit of Lee, following Gettysburgh) some lie at the bottom of the sea the
general million, and the special cemeteries in almost all the States the infinite dead (Finseth, 258).
Most of the dying soldiers from both the Union and Confederacy, had to deal with the fact that there
was no way to identify the bodies, and as a result many of the bodies remain unknown. Therefore,
many dying soldiers would place identifying markers on the inside of their uniforms in the hopes that
their body would be identified. The government had to decide what to do with all the bodies. People

Analysis Of Bacon Rebellion
Brice Everson Mrs. Blomme Honors I 30 September 2014 Bacon s Rebellion The definition of
courage as defined by Dictionary.com is the ability to do something that frightens one. A rebellion
takes courage. It s not something the average human being can do. One cannot simply expect just
anyone to verbally stand up for what they believe is right. Courage is not something found in a
common human being. Sure, everyone has it somewhere deep down, but as for that select group of
people who aren t afraid to stand up for what they believe is right: They are the ones that make a
difference. Nathaniel Bacon wasn t by any means a great man but he definitely wasn t afraid to take
charge of a situation that involved him, directly or indirectly, and stand up for himself. He was the
type of relentless figure that made a difference in history because he had one thing we all strive to
have: Courage. Bacon s Rebellion, also known as the Virginia Rebellion, took place in Jamestown,
Virginia in 1676. Bacon s Rebellion was probably one of the most confusing yet intriguing chapters in
Jamestown s history (McCulley). This rebellion is considered to be the first stirring of revolutionary
sentiment in America,...(McCulley). It is still disputed by historians today about whether the attack by
Nathaniel Bacon on the governor of Virginia, Sir William Berkeley, was justified or not. It all started
in 1675, during the Susquehannock War. Many Virginians disagreed on the

The Recent History Of The Additional Rate Of Income Tax
Overview: The Recent History of the Additional Rate of Income Tax It is important to note, from the
onset, that income tax remains the government s largest revenue source effectively raking in an
average of 30 percent of the total tax collected. In essence, every individual has what is referred to as
personal allowance on income tax, whereby every tax year, all incomes that do not exceed the set
allowance are not taxed. All other income is subject to the various tax rates captured in several bands.
In the year 2009 budget, it was announced that beginning April 2010, individuals raking in incomes
exceeding £150,000 would be subject to a new 50% tax rate (HM Revenue Customs, 2014). The
previous rate, prior to the introduction of the top rate by the Labor government had been 45p.
However, the incoming government reduced the top rate to 45p a change that took effect from 2013
April. It is important to note that all incomes that do not exceed £32,000 are, at the moment, subject to
a basic tax rate of 20%. For those raking in more than £32,011 (with a ceiling of £150,000), a higher
rate applies. According to the proposal to restore the 50% additional rate of income tax, 50% of
incomes exceeding £150,000 (which are at present taxed at the rate of 45%) ought to be handed over
to Her Majesty s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as tax. The person fronting the said proposal is Ed
Balls, a Labor Party politician.

College Essay About Tulane
New Orleans is a city that has always been immensely fascinating to me. I love that every street corner
is teeming with culture and excitement. I have been visiting New Orleans ever since I was a young
child and I love it. The energy of the city is so uplifting and inspiring. Earlier this year when I first
learned about Tulane, I was ecstatic and couldn t wait to apply. My hometown of Austin, Texas is also
a city filled to the brim with life and culture, but it is so different from New Orleans. Attending Tulane
would be a major challenge for me but one that I would be extremely willing to take on. I would be
exposed to so many new things and would be forced to step out of my comfort zone. It would be a
thrilling opportunity to live in such a unique city during a time when I am exploring who I am. I
particularly love how Tulane incorporates the local culture into school activities. The crawfish boils
and Mardi Gras traditions are things that I have not been exposed to in Texas, and I would be excited
to experience them at Tulane.

To What Extent Do You Consider the Emancipation of Serfs...
Essay Question: To what extent do you consider the Emancipation of Serfs 1861 to be a key turning
point in the development of Russian government and society till 2000?
Many historians argue The Emancipation of the Serfs in 1861, to be a key turning point within
Russian history. It drastically altered Russia s economic, political and social stipulation. One could
propose the argument that this event lead to the fall of communism in 1990, further more suggesting
the extent to which this event affected Russia. Hence this is perhaps the most defining moment in
Russian history, with its impact being seen many years after the event itself . Although historians

Both peasants and land owners challenged the government with the intention of generating further
social changes.
The instant consequences to the emancipation of the serfs left Russia crippled, ironic, when alleged
that it intended to advance Russia s status. Many historians argue that despite abolishing serfdom, the
means in which it was carried out didn t coincide with reality. Subsequently, there were many riots
which caused a rise of political groups such as Narodnik movement whose existence proves that
Russian society was changing. Disorder spread with calls for change within Russia like In May 1862
where a number of pamphlets were issued including the radical Young Russia. Such propaganda
aimed to gain support and create challenging individuals which would pressure the Tsar to make
further changes. One could argue that as a result this led to the 1905 revolution and the end of
Tsardom.
Society was extensively transformed. Indeed, there were many negative results, yet many reforms
proved to be positive such as the development of education; in 1862 schools were placed under the
jurisdiction of the state, rather than the church. The university regulations of 1863 allowed freedom
for universities and as a result women s education flourished; by 1881 2,000 women were leaving
their stereotypical roles behind and studying in universities, something that the west hadn t yet done,
showing that Russia was ahead of

The Importance Of Religion And Politics In Bangladesh
Religion and politics are interdependent from the beginning. Political and religious power are
interconnected. In 1905, the separation between state and religious institutions occurred. But, that
doesn t mean that religion has lost its important in terms of politics. Still, religion plays and important
part in the political system. Religion influence the politics from the core. Religion is a mandatory part
of politics which cannot be replaced (Fox, 2013).
Religion has not only influence over our political aspects but also in our social aspects too. More
accurately, religion has more influence over our social life than political. Religion is an element of
social control. As Karl Marx has said, religion is the opium of mass people (Eggers, 2015). Through
socialization process a human being entangled in the chain of Social control. It is a process which
enlighten a person about the rules, regulations and procedures of the society. It tells an individual his
or, her place and marks their limitations. Religion just make those implementations more strong so
that no one can break the traditional norms and values of the society. Thus religion preserve the
traditions as they were and control the society (Liska, 1992).
Bangladesh is a country where religion based parties play quite a dominant role. There are nearly 40
parties registered with the Election Commission and among them 12 are Islamic parties. Those parties

Growing horses require vitamins as a source of nutrient due to the benefits and requirements they need
for their body s. The vitamins growing horses require depend on what their environment looks like.
This could range from them being in a stall getting fed grain everyday to being in a pasture eating
forage. Some horses are on both a high quality forage and a grain given to them each day. Vitamin
requirements also become more relevant when coming closer to the weaning time for growing horses.
Some of these vitamin requirements are given to horses additionally to what they are being fed.

ABSTRACT
The vision of the Semantic Web promises a kind Machine Intelligence, which can support a verity of
user tasks like improved search engine or Question Answering (QA). Ontologies are needed for
realization of the semantic web, which in turn depends on the ability of system to identify and take
advantage of relationships that exist between and within ontologies. There are huge numbers of
ontologies present on the web they need to be integrated for data integration. These ontologies are
having different in representation, quality of data and larger sizes of ontologies, this lead to be
problem during ontology mapping, on analyzing these problems and to introduce Multiagent mapping
system. Main aim is to achieve heterogeneous data integration through semantic mapping of
ontologies. this paper provide a mapping framework for Multiagent ontology having heterogeneous
data in Semantic web and develop a question answering system from developed framework of

Analysis Of Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening, By...
Robert Frost is a great American poet that mastered the art of eloquently imprinting his readers with
an overarching idea, or theme, through his use of symbolic language, precise picture painting, and
metronome rhyme and meter. Frost addresses many different themes across his poems, but sometimes
has similar methods of displaying his themes; three of the most prominent are the crossroads of a
decision in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, the battle between desire and hate in Fire and
Ice, and the loss of innocence in Nothing Gold Can Stay.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening is all about the internal debates that occur when making a
decision. The poem is designed to unsettle certitude as Guy Rotella, a literary critic, put ... Show more

The connection between Earth and a relationship is a little more subtle since he does not outright say
it, but due to fire and ice being connected to emotions that come from the world of a relationship the
reader can assume their connection to the world in the poem. Fire and Ice also draws on Frost s
tendency to unsettle certitude since, as Guy Rotella put it, he concludes with a point that ends up
reopening what he had already closed earlier in the poem (253). Frost once again never makes a
decision in this poem, he just uses the metaphor to debate with himself on why either desire or hate
could be the one to destroy a relationship. Similarly to Fire and Ice, Robert Frost also uses an
extended metaphor to show the theme in Nothing Gold Can Stay. Frost tells the story of how the most
beautiful part of Spring only lasts a short time in couplets of iambic trimeter, and it is not until line six
until the true meaning of this poem is exposed, So Eden sank to grief (Frost). This is alluding to the
Garden of Eden story from the Bible when mankind was banished from the garden; which also reveals
the reasoning for personifying Spring earlier in the poem by saying gold was Her Hardest hue to hold
(Frost, 2). Frost wants the reader to connect mankind s falling from the

Patriotism In The United States
What is patriotism? Patriotism is the love that people feel for their country. A few examples of
patriotism are: 1. When we stand up for the pledge in the mornings. 2. When we stand up for the
National Anthem . Those are both examples of patriotism. America is a free country, so people should
be able to practice patriotism if they want to, but if they don t want to they shouldn t have to.
If someone wants to express them and their country they should be patriotic. But if they would much
rather not say anything they shouldn t have to. I do personally believe they should at least stand during
the pledge and put their hand on their heart. They don t necessarily have to say the pledge but they do

Analysis Of Better Than Hum Our Jobs By Kevin Kelly
Christian Lous Lange once said, Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master. Many would
agree, as modern day scientists threaten that robots are taking over our jobs more and more everyday.
While many are discomforted by this idea, author Kevin Kelly is intrigued with this idea in his article,
Better Than Human: Why Robots Will⎼And Must⎼Take Our Jobs, saying that increasing technology
in the workplace will benefit our society by increasing productivity. In his article, Kelly uses specific
examples and tones in an attempt to relate to his audience, but fails to present an argument that forces
others to trust in the takeover of technology. Kelly uses an academic, humorous tone in an attempt to
appeal to his audience, but instead, sends a sarcastic message to the readers. For example, Kelly wrote,

we will believe that we are needed when the machine breaks down, but the technology is apparently
flawless. After figuring out that this technology can do our old jobs better than we can, we realize that
we did not like our job and we are much happier now that we have moved on from our old boring job.
What Kelly fails to realize is that several people do not detest their jobs, and robots cannot do every
job that humans can do. Some jobs, including social work and criminal investigation, cannot solely be
done by machines. It is seemingly impossible. Therefore, Kelly s argument is invalid and cannot be
used when arguing whether or not technology should be allowed to takeover the

Euripides Support of Women s Rights
One can hardly deny that in Euripides plays women are often portrayed as weak, uncertain, and torn
between what they must do and what they can bring themselves to do. Other women appear to be the
root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of characters and
plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be very much against
women. However, when looking back with current understanding of what Euripides was doing at the
time, armed with knowledge of plot devices and Socratic philosophy, this argument simply does not
hold up. In fact, a very strong argument can be made to the opposite, that Euripides was in fact ...

To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is necessary.
Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination of the two
classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art deities
(Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure, the
molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the more
plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the conception. The
Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps induced by a god or sleep,
while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated
before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art influences. The Apollonian influence is
seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance.
The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by the exclusive nature of each performance
(Nietzsche 2).
The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and
Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way it
had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with

Analysis Of The Chimney Sweeper
The chimney sweeper draft version Set in the times of the Industrial Revolution, Blake s The Chimney
Sweeper is a powerful attempt to fight one of the biggest social injustices at the time: child labour. He
illustrates the heartbreaking life story of thousands of kids through two different points of view, one is
exposed in the poem pertaining to Songs of Innocence (1789) and the other one is exposed in Songs of
Experience (1794). Both poems share the same outline; however, it is the narrator s view the one that
changes drastically between the poems. In the eldest version, the reader is presented with a young
chimney sweeper full of hope and aspiration whereas in the most recent poem the author reflected a
slightly more experienced child that does not believe in the system anymore. The maturity expressed
by the last chimney sweeper is not only seen in his ideals but the whole poem is a 180 degrees
deflection from the 1789 version. The author tried to make the change between the poems was present
not only in the content of each poem but also in all aspects possible so readers would get that

The Importance Of The D-Day Invasion Of Normandy
On June 6, 1944, the Allies invaded Normandy to liberate Western Europe from the Nazis that had
taken it over in 1942 (Tucker). There were as many as ten thousand Allied troops involved in the
operation (Tucker). The Germans expected an invasion, as a result, they protected places where the
invasion would take place (Tucker). Hitler built defenses that included forts, tanks, guns, and
barricades to keep the Allies from invading France (Tucker). This bloodbath war caused many men to
be fatally injured, and many men lost their lives (Tucker). The D day invasion from the Allies was a
significant turning point of WWII because it caused Hitler s defenses to fall and crumble. After France
was conquered by the Germans in 1940, the British began planning a landing on the German shore in
Normandy (Reid). When the Americans entered the war not too long after this and the British realized
they would be able to plan a stronger, more effective invasion by planning a join invasion with the
Americans to make an alliance with the Americans to invade the Germans (Reid). General Dwight D.
Eisenhower was the commander of Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces (Reid). In
December, 1944 he ordered a bombing crusade to attack transportation throughout France. Because of
the immense number of troops and supplies it was a disadvantage to use regular ships, therefore, the
Allies built specialized landing ship tanks (Reid). All of the construction of new technology took

what is the American strategy to eradicate this terrorist group and what are the limits of the strategy of
the international coalition led by the USA.
The Islamic State is currently considered as the major threat of the USA according to a recent survey
on American people . But is this group really strong, well equipped and so a threat for the West?
Firstly the Islamic State is the wealthiest terrorist group of the world. At the beginning some Gulf
countries have helped the group but have stopped with the raising of its violence. But now the group is
self financed with racketeering and robbery of conquered territories. For instance the capture of the
city of Mossoul gave a lot of money staying in its banks. But the group is also using the money of
ransoms for hostages and is mainly dealing lots of oil. However this wealth is not the only reason of
its strength. The problem is that we do not know accurately the allies or supporters of the Islamic
State. As a consequence we do not know exactly the men that the organization has in its ranks.

Tube Feeding Prolonging Life
Abstract
This paper is written to discuss the ethical dilemma we come across when asking our self whether or
not we should place a tube feeding in a patient with a history Alzheimer s or Dementia. Will this
prolong the patients life or just the inevitable death? Most often a decision needs to be made regarding
the placement of a tube feeding. The question is not initiated by the patient themselves. This is the
reason why educating our patients are so important. In this paper I will discuss how important the role
of the healthcare professional plays in advocating for a patient. To help answer this ethical dilemma
several issues will be explored. I will focus on the seven principles of ethics, education, utilitarianism,

Doctors often encourage the idea of a PEG or other available routes of feeding tubes. This is suggested
when the patient has failed there swallow evaluation or has a history of aspiration pneumonia.
According to Vital et.al. (2006) these reasons are not evidence based and may reveal discrepancies
among healthcare professionals and their knowledge of advanced Dementia disease. Vital et. Al.
(2006) also suggests that physicians may need improved education with regards to end stage dementia
because they apparently lack understanding about the risks and benefits of artificial feeding. Taking
this all into debate, development of knowledge is crucial aspect in maintaining and providing good
care in an end of life process.
Principles of Ethics
If a patient has comorbidity such as Alzheimer s disease, it is important that a healthcare proxy is
designated. A healthcare proxy should be appointed when the patient is still has decision making
capabilities. This is performed to help make medical decisions for the patient when they are unable to
do so themselves.
Autonomy refers to an individual s right to self rule or governs one s self (Beauchamp Childress,
2009). Autonomy is refer to the individual right to make his or her own decision regarding their health
care needs. This is respected in the health care setting.
Without a living will or healthcare proxy

General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and Rwanda The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1947 functioned as a means of adjusting trade relationships between countries trying to improve their economies. Contracting parties to this agreement have been bound by it to treat other contracting parties on an equal and reciprocal basis as well as to curb protectionism. Not all birds however fall into each one of these catergories. One species, for example, are the owls. Owls are not the brightest color and don t have as lovely songs as a canary. They are different from many birds including other birds of prey. To look at all these wonderful owls would take more than a few pages so we will look at one, the Barn Owl. What is a barn owl? That is a simple question with a long answer. The story of the barn owl has changed throughout the years. It is best to start in the beginning. In the very beginning God created all living things including the barn owl. The first recorded time humans interacted with these birds was in ancient times. During this time people thought owls in general were spirits who had magical powers. These people either worshipped owls or feared them varying on their beliefs. Ancient Europeans and Native Americans from Tennessee used to draw them on cave walls. Now the barn owl s name makes sense. It is obviously an owl that lives in barns. What is an owl though? It had turned out that he was in the lead of winning the most votes and was going to actually win. But with the help of many Republicans and Democrats that were against the campaign for the gay and lesbian rights, thought that it was wrong and were very hesitant on trying to stop it. Many conservatives turned to get help from former governor Ronald Reagan who was applying to become president. Ronald Reagan was very much against the thought of that and had advocated against that campaign although many politicians had told him that going against the governor of California might be suicidal, he still wanted to go against ... • 8. Puritans Influence On Today s Society Today, people describe the Puritans with their biased point of view. It is not unfathomable why people do not like the Puritans. The Puritans society and today s society are very different. Puritan society was very restrained; people could only believe in God and the Bible was the law. Unlike Puritan society, today s society does not restrain religion. Even though Puritans had bad influences on today s society, Puritans played a pivotal role in constructing the USA. If you look around more carefully, you will easily realize that some things that you took for granted were actually influenced by the Puritans, and they are very significant and necessary to today s society. The Puritans influences on today s United States are found in the areas of economy, government, education, church, and social mores. The Puritans influences on the economy are very palpable. On the US dollar you can clearly see the statement In God we trust. Money is the most significant tool in an economy; therefore, a statement about God on the money of the USA accentuates the Puritans role in determining the economy of the United States. Today, people recommend frugality. Even people like Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, and Warren Buffet do not use their money prodigally. These migrating First People in the Maya region developed their tool and hunting technologies and went from being nomadic hunter gatherers into forming more permanent settlements. These settled groups became more developed as they exploited the plentiful local resources. This fictitious strong female is a symptom of a greater problem, one that has stemmed from former cultures surrounded by the gender roles put in place by society. Rosalind from As You Like It, while superficially powerful is also weakened by her choices. She recognizes her weakness as a woman when she states, Beauty provoketh thieves sooner than gold, and decides to dress as a man as she ventures into the world (Page 26). Although this is a different time it is still relevant as her only strength comes from donning a costume of a man. In modern film, female characters classified as strong are picking up traits considered more masculine and emulating men, although not physically. To compensate for this loss of obvious gender roles in clothing, females have been given their femininity back on only a cosmetic level, while increasing male ideals drastically proving to audiences it just a character and they have no need to fear the loss of their well known ideas about men and women. Yet through devout faith in God, the tradition survives to this day. Part of the reason Jews maintain their faith in the face of seemingly endless persecution is the belief that a messiah will appear, as described in the Book of Isaiah: In all of My sacred mount/Nothing evil or vile shall be done; /For the land shall be filled with devotion to The Lord/As water covers the sea (qtd. in Van Voorst, 230). Players compete against each other in a multilateral competition where the player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins. The game begins with ten (usually random) piles of resource cards being laid on the playing area/table, along with the treasure, victory and other various cards. Each player is given an initial 10 cards as their starting deck (a.k.a. their Dominion ) and they each draw 5 cards as their starting hand. They then take turns playing cards from their hands according to the cards instructions, and acquiring new cards from the piles in the middle while trying to improve their dominion. Each turn players draw 5 more cards and once their deck gets depleted they re shuffle their discarded cards back into it. The game ends after any 3 piles of resource cards have been depleted or when the province victory cards have been depleted. The core gameplay revolves around each player using cards in their hands that they have drawn from their deck to acquire additional resources, sabotage other players or bring the game closer to the end (or a combination of these). The games core mechanic is building (it is a deck building game after all) since you spend the whole game growing and expanding your deck. Romeo s romantic love for Juliet was so influential that it drove him to kill himself, which no other kind of love had the power or impact to do. When Juliet awoke from her faked death and found Romeo s body, she was devastated and reacted to the death of her love the same way Romeo did, by killing herself. For example, after discovering Romeo s dead body, Juliet comes upon Romeo s dagger and picks it up while stating, This is thy sheath; there rust and let me die. The Recent History Of The Additional Rate Of Income Tax Overview: The Recent History of the Additional Rate of Income Tax It is important to note, from the onset, that income tax remains the government s largest revenue source effectively raking in an average of 30 percent of the total tax collected. In essence, every individual has what is referred to as personal allowance on income tax, whereby every tax year, all incomes that do not exceed the set allowance are not taxed. All other income is subject to the various tax rates captured in several bands. In the year 2009 budget, it was announced that beginning April 2010, individuals raking in incomes exceeding £150,000 would be subject to a new 50% tax rate (HM Revenue Customs, 2014). The previous rate, prior to the introduction of the top rate by the Labor government had been 45p. However, the incoming government reduced the top rate to 45p a change that took effect from 2013 April. It is important to note that all incomes that do not exceed £32,000 are, at the moment, subject to a basic tax rate of 20%. For those raking in more than £32,011 (with a ceiling of £150,000), a higher rate applies. According to the proposal to restore the 50% additional rate of income tax, 50% of incomes exceeding £150,000 (which are at present taxed at the rate of 45%) ought to be handed over to Her Majesty s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as tax. Both peasants and land owners challenged the government with the intention of generating further social changes. The instant consequences to the emancipation of the serfs left Russia crippled, ironic, when alleged that it intended to advance Russia s status. Many historians argue that despite abolishing serfdom, the means in which it was carried out didn t coincide with reality. Subsequently, there were many riots which caused a rise of political groups such as Narodnik movement whose existence proves that Russian society was changing. Disorder spread with calls for change within Russia like In May 1862 where a number of pamphlets were issued including the radical Young Russia. Such propaganda aimed to gain support and create challenging individuals which would pressure the Tsar to make further changes. One could argue that as a result this led to the 1905 revolution and the end of Tsardom. Society was extensively transformed. Indeed, there were many negative results, yet many reforms proved to be positive such as the development of education; in 1862 schools were placed under the jurisdiction of the state, rather than the church. The university regulations of 1863 allowed freedom for universities and as a result women s education flourished; by 1881 2,000 women were leaving their stereotypical roles behind and studying in universities, something that the west hadn t yet done, showing that Russia was ahead of ... In 1905, the separation between state and religious institutions occurred. But, that doesn t mean that religion has lost its important in terms of politics. Still, religion plays and important part in the political system. Religion influence the politics from the core. Religion is a mandatory part of politics which cannot be replaced (Fox, 2013). Religion has not only influence over our political aspects but also in our social aspects too. More accurately, religion has more influence over our social life than political. Religion is an element of social control. As Karl Marx has said, religion is the opium of mass people (Eggers, 2015). Through socialization process a human being entangled in the chain of Social control. It is a process which enlighten a person about the rules, regulations and procedures of the society. Ontologies are needed for realization of the semantic web, which in turn depends on the ability of system to identify and take advantage of relationships that exist between and within ontologies. There are huge numbers of ontologies present on the web they need to be integrated for data integration. These ontologies are having different in representation, quality of data and larger sizes of ontologies, this lead to be problem during ontology mapping, on analyzing these problems and to introduce Multiagent mapping system. Main aim is to achieve heterogeneous data integration through semantic mapping of ontologies. this paper provide a mapping framework for Multiagent ontology having heterogeneous data in Semantic web and develop a question answering system from developed framework of ontology s and improve performance by adding semantic relation interpreter which improves response time. • 31. Analysis Of Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening, By... Robert Frost is a great American poet that mastered the art of eloquently imprinting his readers with an overarching idea, or theme, through his use of symbolic language, precise picture painting, and metronome rhyme and meter. Frost addresses many different themes across his poems, but sometimes has similar methods of displaying his themes; three of the most prominent are the crossroads of a decision in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, the battle between desire and hate in Fire and Ice, and the loss of innocence in Nothing Gold Can Stay. Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening is all about the internal debates that occur when making a decision. The poem is designed to unsettle certitude as Guy Rotella, a literary critic, put ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The connection between Earth and a relationship is a little more subtle since he does not outright say it, but due to fire and ice being connected to emotions that come from the world of a relationship the reader can assume their connection to the world in the poem. Fire and Ice also draws on Frost s tendency to unsettle certitude since, as Guy Rotella put it, he concludes with a point that ends up reopening what he had already closed earlier in the poem (253). Frost once again never makes a decision in this poem, he just uses the metaphor to debate with himself on why either desire or hate could be the one to destroy a relationship. Similarly to Fire and Ice, Robert Frost also uses an extended metaphor to show the theme in Nothing Gold Can Stay. Frost tells the story of how the most beautiful part of Spring only lasts a short time in couplets of iambic trimeter, and it is not until line six until the true meaning of this poem is exposed, So Eden sank to grief (Frost). This is alluding to the Garden of Eden story from the Bible when mankind was banished from the garden; which also reveals the reasoning for personifying Spring earlier in the poem by saying gold was Her Hardest hue to hold (Frost, 2). Many would agree, as modern day scientists threaten that robots are taking over our jobs more and more everyday. While many are discomforted by this idea, author Kevin Kelly is intrigued with this idea in his article, Better Than Human: Why Robots Will⎼And Must⎼Take Our Jobs, saying that increasing technology in the workplace will benefit our society by increasing productivity. In his article, Kelly uses specific examples and tones in an attempt to relate to his audience, but fails to present an argument that forces others to trust in the takeover of technology. Kelly uses an academic, humorous tone in an attempt to appeal to his audience, but instead, sends a sarcastic message to the readers. Other women appear to be the root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of characters and plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be very much against women. To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is necessary. Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination of the two classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art deities (Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure, the molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the more plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the conception. The Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps induced by a god or sleep, while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art influences. The Apollonian influence is seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance. The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by the exclusive nature of each performance (Nietzsche 2). The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way it had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of The Chimney Sweeper The chimney sweeper draft version Set in the times of the Industrial Revolution, Blake s The Chimney Sweeper is a powerful attempt to fight one of the biggest social injustices at the time: child labour. He illustrates the heartbreaking life story of thousands of kids through two different points of view, one is exposed in the poem pertaining to Songs of Innocence (1789) and the other one is exposed in Songs of Experience (1794). Both poems share the same outline; however, it is the narrator s view the one that changes drastically between the poems. In the eldest version, the reader is presented with a young chimney sweeper full of hope and aspiration whereas in the most recent poem the author reflected a slightly more experienced child that does not believe in the system anymore. The maturity expressed by the last chimney sweeper is not only seen in his ideals but the whole poem is a 180 degrees deflection from the 1789 version.
