The Five Basic Elements Of Positiveness And Openness In A...
As I gave feedback, I utilized the following skills: I provided feedback in a timely manner
immediately after the skill check so that the account of my observations would be fresh in mind. I
focused on actionable behaviors, rather than things she could not change. When she seemed
flustered and forgetful, I suggested that she take a moment to gather her thoughts, and move
slowly through the process until she felt calm and proficient. I used specific examples and
concise language. When I noticed that the residents shoes were sticking out from under the side of
the bed and looked like a trip hazard, I suggested that the head of the bed would be a safer place to
put them.
I also made sure utilize and balance positive and negative feedback by making the quintessential
positive/ negative/ positive sandwich. I was quick to compliment for her comfortable and friendly
demeanor with the resident, then talked about my concerns with giggling and joking around with
the wrong audience, then finished with positive observations on her overall skill and competence. I
made sure to listen afterwards, and she explained her thoughts and realizations about how things
had gone from her perspective, and ended with overall agreement and supportive feelings for each
other.
Out of the five basic elements of caring communication, I chose to focus on positiveness and
openness. Positiveness is shown by having self confidence, a positive, secure view of self, and by

Analysis Of Resumen Y Metodolomica
Resumen y MetodologГa. En el presente estudio se busca determinar la relaciГіn existente entre la

The present study seeks to determine the relationship between the socio economic position of
families and the consumption of electrical energy generated by them. In this study, the most
common indicator (although it is not the most appropriate) regarding the subject, will be taken as a
reference of socioeconomic position; the social stratum. Regarding to the consumption, a data
collection will be made of two sample populations, A and B. Population A corresponds to 50
families associated with a public institution, while B corresponds to the same number of families,
but associated with a private one. The collection consists of the monthly average of electricity
consumption in KWh and the stratum assigned to the dwelling, both stipulated in the invoice of the
company providing the service. Annex to the invoice is indicated in the number of consumers of
said invoice, this in order to obtain the average of the consumption of electrical energy that each

Cbd Oil Research Paper
Learn About the Formation of CBD Oil
CBD is one of the 60 cannabinoids found in cannabis. These are a group of active, naturally
occurring compounds found in all cannabis plants. Oil can be extracted from marijuana plants
(which are typically high in THC) or industrial hemp plants. For legality purposes, the CBD
distillery uses the stubbles and stems derived from pesticide free, non GMO and industrial hemp
plants.
Hemp plants are grown similarly to marijuana plants as they come from the same cannabis species
but are grown for different purposes. Hemp plants are typically tall and thin and are cultivated for
the purpose of producing oils, food and other textiles. Alternatively, marijuana plants are short and
wide and are produced for their psychotropic

Industrialization Vs Industrialization
Industrialization had better effects on men and women of the upper and middle classes, than
with the men and women of the working classes. Industrialization began in Europe, at the time
there was a large rise in population. The population of London grew from 750,000 to 9 million in
just two years (11/9). Due to the large growth in population, people were forced to develop new
ideas such as new productions of energy and multiple story buildings. The number of factories
grew exponentially and as a result, the massive extraction of nonrenewable raw materials to feed
and to fuel industrial machinery...altered the landscape in many places (Strayer, 568). The
production of factories and work created migration to urban areas, during this time middle class
people began needing servants. People of the upper class would have anywhere from three to four
clothing changes per day, and it was typical for their staff to consist of forty to one hundred people.
Considering the size of the staff, upper classhousing had to be large enough for the staff and
family to live in, and not see each other (11/9). This was a very different way of living from those
in the working class. Living conditions were better for those in the upper and middle classes than
those in the working class, and some ideas presented in the age of Enlightenment carried over into
the Industrial Revolution.
During the time of the Industrialization, the central value of the middle class culture was

Erik Erickson Psychosocial Stages
I remember learning about Erik Erikson a couple times throughout my life but it seemed to be
very brief then we moved on to another theorist. Erik Erickson was born in 1902, in Frankfurt,
Germany (Erik Erickson). Erickson lived with his mother and her husband, his step father. In
1930 he married his wife, Joan Serson, and in 1933 they moved with their son to the United
States (Erik Erickson). They raised three children while living in the United States. Erickson
believed that the next stage of life is made up of what happened in the previous life stage
(Jalongo page 117). There are eight stages in Erickson s psychosocial stages four of these stages
are crucial to development between birth and age twelve (117). The other for begin in... Show more

This stage happens during a child s first year of life. During this stage of life it is very important
that an infant gets their needs satisfied (Lecture). If needs are met consistently, infants develop
trust in others and a hopeful helpful outlook (page 118). This is a very important stage because
it is the stepping stone for the other stages and if the infant s needs are not met it makes it hard
for the infant to trust people. The next stage in Erik Erickson is autonomy versus shame and
doubt. This stage is from ages one to three years old, the toddlers. This is the stage where
toddlers become their own person and want to start doing things themselves, like walk and talk.
During this stage toddlers conflict centers on their ability to exert ownership over their bodies
(page 118). It is also this also this stage that toddlers learn potty training. The third stage of
Erikson s psychosocial stages is initiative versus guilt. This stage takes place during the preschool
years, ages three to five. During this time preschoolers struggle between their ability to undertake
and complete tasks and their fear of failing at those tasks (page 118). This is the age that they
want to try to do things but sometimes think that they can t do it. For example, a child being
interested in learning to write their name but feel like they won t be able to after trying a couple

How to Teach a Dyslexic Child
Dyslexia is now a widely accepted condition that is prevalent in many classrooms. However,
defining dyslexia is difficult as it can be described as a continuum. Although experts largely agree
that dyslexia is identifiable as a developmental difficulty of language learning and cognition (Rose,
2009). Dyslexiacan pose a host of difficulties for the child and can make daily activities and school
life very challenging. The NCLD (2013) states children with dyslexia may have difficulties with
accurate and fluent spelling, accurate and fluent written expression, phonological awareness,
memory, verbal processing speed and information processing. As teachers it is vital that we are
aware of the underlying difficulties as the child s consistent... Show more content on

Therefore, the teacher should ensure the child is focused before giving instructions and the tasks
should be broken down into small easily remembered pieces of information (Hodge, 2000). The
child should be seated where communication can be made easier and information should be
repeated if needed. Visual cues may need to be provided along with the verbal to aid the child in
processing the verbal information. The child with dyslexia can have difficulty with perseverance
to task so providing them with diagrams and flow charts depicting the task structure and posters
reminding the child of steps to follow to complete the task can help. The teacher should ensure
activities are not information overload for the child making the task impossible (DENI, 2011;
Gathercole and Alloway, 2008). Also ensure that tasks are not lengthy sequences but meaningful
chunks (DENI, 2011, p.100). Distractions should be reduced whilst the child is working for if a
child is distracted or interrupted while using working memory the process is lost and the child
cannot resume from where they were interrupted (Gathercole and Alloway, 2008).The plenary
should also be used to summarise main teaching points so that the learning is more likely to go
from short term to long term memory.
Within the Primary School setting the teaching of phonics is a significant part of the curriculum
(PMBNI, 2009).

Macroeconomic Policies And Regulate The Healthy Operation...
The government plays an important role in the national economy. Through the formulation of
macroeconomic policies and regulate the healthy operation of the national economy.
There are four main economic theory tells us government to achieve macroeconomic objectives:
price stability, full employment, sustainable and balanced economic growth and balance of
international payments. In addition, inflation, unemployment and economic growth are the big
macroeconomic issues of our time. In this essay we focus on inflation and unemployment.
Unemployment occurs when a person who is actively searching for employment is unable to find
work. Unemployment is often used as a measure of the health of the economy. The most frequently
cited measure of unemployment is the unemployment rate. This is the number of unemployed
persons divided by the number of people in the labor force (Unemployment, INVESTOPEDIA,
2010)1. number of unemployed Unemployment rate = * 100 labor force There are three main types
of unemployment: cyclical unemployment, frictional unemployment and structural unemployment.

economy are insufficient to purchase the output that would be supplied when the economy

giving the readers an inside perspective of the experiences. Old lady Milla is one of Ed s many
tasks, he supplies her with the company she so desperately needs, but not only did he help her,
she put a piece of her heart inside him. The readers see Ed s transformation from dickhead Ed to
a kind gentlemen willing to spend his time reading to a lonely old lady of which he barely
knows. One of the toughest challenges Ed faces is his Ma, one of his darkest hours as Ed is
forced to confront his mother. Zusak describes Ed standing on the tough women s porch
refusing to leave and demanding an answer as to why she treats him so awfully and with such
disrespect, providing the reader with a suspenseful first person view of the experience. Ma

The Theme Of Friendship In The Film Guardians Of The Galaxy
Friendship is like a blossoming sprout in spring. At first it is dainty and fragile but as it cultivates
into an elegant flower, it grows more and more robust. Sometimes the biting winds of hate and
deceit can knock the blooming flower down but that is not the case in Guardians of the Galaxy
(2014). This intricate storyline follows Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and the estranged band of aliens
later known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. When one watches this motion picture, it can be
substantiated that friendship can be unearthed in the most unlikely niches, with the most unlikely

Similarities Between Early Human Groups
Any form of life must gather resources that allow it to survive and reproduce. The resources may be
food, water, sunlight, minerals, vitamins, shelter. Without these things, the organism dies. Since the
two most basic purposes of life are to live and to reproduce, it should do everything it can to avoid
dying through a lack of resources (Taflinger). And everything the humanrace did do. To thrive.
Throughout this piece, logical proven biological laws will give reasoning behind the claim that
there certainly was fighting between early human groups and tribes; Given that there was also
competition for resources. Thus subsequently this statement opposes claims towards a peaceful
hypothesis of coexistence between neighboring early human groups. That being said, both my
theory and one of the latter contain some overlaps that are mutually agreed upon. Nevertheless, this

I would like to preface before the argument begins, that a large portion primal biological
psychological prewiring is most certainly put to the very back of decision making in a modern
world of social and moral filters occupying the forefront. But with civilized sophistication revoked,
humans are very much rooted in animalistic biological psychology. Referenced from an article

main elements biology contributes to human behavior are: 1) self preservation; 2) the reason for
self preservation, reproduction; and 3) a method to enhance self preservation and reproduction,

Essay On Annotated Bibliography
I found that creating an annotated bibliography was incredibly useful and important in helping
me organize my research. The assignment forced me to keep track of my sources. I like to scan
through journals quickly and take notes on what information I d like to revisit based on titles
and headlines. My method is great for finding research, but the downside is that I can sometimes
lose track of the properly cited source for the information. I think this is incredibly valuable
because of the real problems that exist due to plagiarism. As I was researching, I looked only at
two initial items to determine if I would continue to investigate the article. I wanted to see if the
authors had graduate degrees and if the article (or other information) was published in an
academic journal or respectively similar format. In some sense, I took a breadth first approach to
collecting information. I then went into a deeper search for credibility after I had compiled a list

The World Is Too Much With Us Essay
We all think that we appreciate the nature around us, but do we really? How often do we spend
time sitting out on the grass, bird watching? Even if we do, can we sit for more than five minutes
without our tasks rushing back into our mind? In The World is Too Much with Us, William
Wordsworth touches upon this idea of excessive greed and our refusal to allow naturearound us into
our every day life. This poem discusses Wordsworth s ongoing frustration with the world around
him. We are not paying attention to nature, but instead are focused on getting and spending . The
recurring theme of excessive materialism flows through every line, all very relatable to the modern
day. We are out of tune with the world, out of touch with our own spirituality,

I know that there are a lot of positive aspects of the internet, and when used properly, it can be

know what it is like to go somewhere without their cell phone. We have forgotten what it is like
to sit down on a park bench and observe our surroundings for thirty minutes. I think this has
affected how millennials socially interact with others. Scrolling through my timeline on social
media, I see people bragging about their possessions and the cost of the watch on their wrist.
Rather than enjoying the sun or the rain, they are on their phones, trying to get the perfect

s stance on the modern world is all too similar to the modern world today. Although cell phones

What Does It Stand For Dna Research Paper
What does DNA stand for?
Deoxyribonucleic acid
What is DNA?
DNA also known as deoxyribonucleic acid is a complex molecule that carries the genetic
information in the cell, essential to build and maintain an organism.
The shape of the molecule is described as a double helix . The building blocks of DNA are
nucleotides. A nucleotide consists of one phosphate molecule, a five sided sugar molecule
(deoxyribose sugar), and one nitrogen base.
WHERE IS IT FOUND?
DNA is located throughout the body, inside organisms called eukaryotes. Which is found inside a
special area of the cell called the nucleus. Organisms have DNA molecules, tightly wound and
packaged as a chromosome. DNA is not only located in the nucleus, humans also have a small
amount of DNA in cell structure in mitochondria. For each DNA molecule that forms into a
chromosome can be seen as a set of shorter DNA sequences. These are the units of DNA function
called genes.
WHAT IS ITS STRUCTURE AND HOW IS IT ARRANGED?... Show more content on

Strands of the DNA are composed of a sugar and phosphate, portions of the nucleotides while the
middle parts of the DNA are made up of nitrogenous bases. The hydrogen bonds between
phosphates cause the DNA strand to twist. The nitrogenous bases point inward on the ladder and
form pairs with bases on the other side, like rungs. The nitrogenous bases on the two strands of
DNA pair up, purine with pyrimidine (adenine with thymine and guanine with cytosine) and are
held together by hydrogen bonds. DNA has a spiral staircase like structure. The steps are formed by
the nitrogen bases of the nucleotides where adenine pairs with thymine and cytosine with

Hearing Loss Papers
The sense of hearing allows you to enjoy everything from a good band to the laughter of your
grandchildren. However, hearing loss is common among aging individuals. Understanding hearing
loss causes and how to implement preventative measures will help you savor your favorite sounds.
Hearing loss can be conductive, sensorineural or a combination. Conductive loss can involve the
tiny inner ear bones, the ear drum, or canal. Sensorineural hearing loss relates to nerve damage to
the inner ear and mixed hearing loss includes aspects of each.
What Are Hearing Loss Symptoms?

Over time, the amount of hearing loss can accumulate with repeated infections.
Similarly, allergies and benign tumors can cause hearing loss. Earwax can cause hearing troubles,
which may or may not be corrected with removal services. If the eardrum has been ruptured, you
will have difficulty hearing.
Otosclerosis is a hereditary conductive hearing loss which usually reveals itself in early adulthood
and sometimes presents sensorineural hearing loss challenges as well.
What Causes Sensorineural Hearing Loss?
Unlike conductive hearing loss causes, sensorineural loss is associated with the function of the
inner ear, including the nerves associated with hearing. Tumors, otosclerosis and other forms of
genetic hearing loss conditions can all contribute to this type of loss.
Meniere s Disease is a disorder that includes progressive hearing loss in the low frequency range.
Additional symptoms include vertigo, tinnitus and pressure in the ear. Proper diagnosis and
treatment are necessary for the treatment of this condition.

Solubility Equilibrium and the Effect of Temperature Essays
Introduction For this experiment, we are going to determine the effect of temperature on solubility,
to be done in a chemical by dissolving a solute in a definite amount of solution which is saturated.
Specifically, the goal of this experiment is to prepare a saturated solution of Na2C2O4 in water at
different temperatures, determine the effect of temperaturein solubility, and to apply Le Chatelier s
Principle. We can do all this by simply titrating a certain amount of standard KMnO4, and
measuring how much KMnO4 was needed to help Na2C2O4 reach chemical equilibrium at certain
temperatures. In doing this, we will have fulfilled all the goals of our experiment, as well as being

Thomson Reuters Checkpoint is a commercial tax and accounting research service to assist
professionals. Checkpoint is designed to assist researchers with answers to a situation quickly by
customizing their search options, integrated links, and time saving tools. The main focus for
Checkpoint is on tax accounting but the software also covers non taxmaterial like the Financial
Accounting Standards Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Tax research consists
of many different forms of content, for instance there is editorial explanations, expert analysis,
Internal Revenue Code, Revenue Rulings, and court cases to list a few examples.
The Research Process The research process starts with locating the starting point by gathering
numerous questions that need to be answered and identify the issues with the questions. These
questions are just the start of your research, many different questions and issues will come along
as you progress into the research. Research questions will be gradually refined to their final
states and the issues are identified. Next step in the process is to access the tax information by
conducting a search using one of the four ways to search. The first way to search is by using the
keyword search which can be found by clicking on the Search tab towards the top of the page.
Using the keyword search is the best way to search if you are looking for multiple sources.

The Properties Of Soft Multi Sets
Abstract In this paper we define some properties of soft multi sets. We also define soft multi set
topology, its interior exterior, boundary and their properties. We establish several important results
in mathematical modeling of spacial objects using fuzzy soft interior, fuzzy soft exterior, fuzzy soft
boundary.
Keywords Fuzzy Sets, Soft Sets, Multi Sets, Fuzzy Topology.
I.INTRODUCTION (Heading 1)
We may have to face vagueness in most of the engineering, physics, computer sciences, economics,
social sciences, environmental science and medical sciences problems. These may be due to the
uncertainties of natural environmental phenomena, incompleteness of human knowledge about the
real world or due to the limitations of the means and methods used to take measurements. We can
see vagueness or uncertainty when we decide the boundary between the continents or between
different seas, when the growth rate of population in a country s rural area is determined or when
we make decisions using database information. In all these cases classical set theory, which is based
on crisp concept will not furnish the exact information.
The mathematical ideas like probability theory, fuzzy sets [12], rough sets [10] are well known as
effective models for dealing with such uncertainties. However, each of them has distinguished
advantages as well as certain limitations. Fuzzy sets fail to parameterize a value.
Molodtsov [7] introduced a completely new approach for modeling vagueness and

Starbucks Is A Leader Of The Coffee House Industry
There is no doubt that humans love their coffee, and with thousands of corporate and franchised
stores all around the world, Starbucks is a leader in the coffee house industry. Formed in Seattle,
Washington over forty years ago, this humble coffee shop has expanded into most every major city
in the nation. According to an article from Huffingtonpost.com, 80% of the population in the lower
48 United States lives within twenty miles of a Starbucks, and nearly 50% of that population lives
within five miles of one. At any given moment, no one is farther than one hundred and seventy
miles away from a Starbucks that s a lot of coffee! An article from BusinessInsider.com stated that

They are making an effort to reduce their carbon footprint by offering incentives to utilize reusable
cups, manufacturing stores out of sustainable materials, and encouraging everyday customers to
practice eco friendly behavior.
STARBUCKS EFFORT TO LOWER THEIR CARBON FOOTPRINT3 Since the number of
paper cups that Starbucks goes through on an annual basis is in the billions, a reduction of
these cups would have a great positive impact on the environment. Walk into any Starbucks store
and a wide variety of reusable cups are available for sale. They vary in size, shape, price, and
design, but all encourage the same thing recycling. Starbucks even offers a discount of ten cents
when a customer brings in their own cup, which they display in print on their menu reader board.
In early 2013, a Whittier Daily News article announced the roll out of a new Starbucks reusable
plastic cup priced at only a dollar. Starbucks is trying to reduce the amount of paper cups that end
up in a landfill every year. The plastic reusable cup can withstand about thirty washings in the
dishwasher and then once it s no longer usable, the cup can be recycled, as well. Starbucks kept the
cup the traditional white and green themed design to emulate their standard cup, attempting to
reinforce customer s continued loyalty to the brand (Scauzillo, 2013). Currently, Starbucks is
offering a white and red holiday themed plastic reusable cup for $2.00.

How is a sexual predator defined? Once this has been identified then the need to examine why

Sexual predators suffer from low self esteem with a need for power and control. They lack empathy.
Many reported offenders are male, with a history of abuse and a troubled childhood. Men are
child molesters in at least ninety seven percent of reported cases (Sanford, 83). One investigation
noted eighty percent of sexual offenders had committed their first crime by age of thirty with all
by the age of forty. Between 200 and 300 men are prosecuted to every one woman (Sanford, 83).
Research has uncovered repeated drug and/or alcohol abuse issues among convicted predators.
Lastly, sexual offenders suffer from deviant sexual behavior and attitudes (Henderson, 39). Further
exploration discovered that the choice of sexual expression correlates more to the child s age then
the offenders (Sanford, 87). Offenders do not form intimate relationships with other adults
(Henderson, 39). Eight five percent of sexual activity was nonorgasmic with one fourth of activity
ending before any stimulation occurred by the offender (Sanford, 83). Now that we know some
offenders characteristics, it is paramount that we learn to identify traits that may be common to
youthful victims.

Puritan Depravity and Distrust in Hawthorne s Young...
Puritan Depravity and Distrust in Young Goodman Brown
Puritan doctrine taught that all men are totally depraved and require constant self examination to
see that they are sinners and unworthy of God s Grace. Because man had broken the Covenant of
Works when Adam had eaten from the Tree of Knowledge, God offered a new covenant to
Abraham s people which held that election to Heaven was merely a possibility. In the Puritan
religion, believers dutifully recognized the negative aspects of their humanity rather than the gifts
they possessed. This shadow of distrust would have a direct influence on early American New
England and on many of its historians and writers, one of which was Nathaniel Hawthorne.
The influence of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hawthorne sets Young Goodman Brown into a context of Puritan rigidity and self doubt to allow
his contemporary readers to see the consequences of such a system of belief.
Hawthorne s tale places the newly wed Puritan Brown upon the road to what may or may not be a
true conversion experience. The conversion experience a sudden realization brought about by
divine intervention, a vision, or perhaps a dream easily translates into the dream allegory of
Hawthorne s work and allows the author to use Puritan doctrine and the history of Salem to argue
the merits and consequences of such a belief. Major issues and themes of Puritanism must have
been researched and delicately placed into Hawthorne s discussion of not only past consequences of
Puritan zeal but also on the contemporary religious issue of his own time, the Second Great
Awakening. Much like the nighttime witches Sabbath that awaits Goodman Brown, the tent
revivals of the 1820 s and 1830 s could be seen by the questioning Hawthorne as another attempt by
the church to sway its membership towards total obedience and faith. The importance placed on
this event by Goodman Brown shows the importance placed on the conversion experience

Reaction Paper On Perfume
Perfume is mixture of fragrant aroma compounds or essential oils, the first evidence of the use of
perfume by mankind dates back to the very old Egyptian civilizations around 2400 BC1.

Character Analysis Of Mr. Incredible
However, Mr. Frederickson ignores Russell to continue on trying to navigate it without him. The
purpose behind that is to show some sense of strength, as an old man he won t exhibit super
strength or any sort of power like Mr. Incredible, but instead he exhibits the old saying that with
age comes wisdom; within that scene that is exactly what strength he is showing. Mr.
Frederickson wants to show that he is strong and capable enough to get there without help.
However, as the movie progresses his vulnerability becomes more visible. The want to show
strength and to appear strong comes from the emasculation of the characters. Mr. Incredible was
this well known superhero that went around saving the city from robbers, criminals, and other
events. However the city soon retired him for the amount of damage he caused, leading to him
having to obtain a real job and provide for a family. His series of events are Mr. Incredible s
emasculation. On the other hand is Mr. Frederickson, he however was never a superhero or
anything of extravagance. Instead, he was the manin charge of the balloon cart at a zoo. While he
wasn t very exciting in the first place, he had had dreams of being able to retire with his wife at
Paradise Falls. Mr. Frederickson s retirement with his wife never happens sadly. In fact he wasn t
truly ever able to retire. The failure to achieve his dream of retirement at Paradise Falls is the
emasculation of Mr. Frederickson. The failure/emasculation is also the reason

Housman’s Poem, To an Athlete Dying Young Essay
This poem is a part of Housman s most famous volume of work called A Shropshire Lad. In these
works Housman wanted the reader to think about life and the meaning of it all. In one of Housman
s most celebrated poems To an Athlete Dying Young , Critics dissect the themes of staying on top
eternally, dying when one is a champion, and not letting the fame fade. Critic Scott Kilvert says that
Housman voices the familiar passions of humanity with a deathdealing sweetness (Scott Kilvert

The athlete escaped the pain of watching himself loose his ability. The athlete now will be
remembered as a champion and nothing else (John 1858).
In every stanza some new theme or idea is introduced. The first stanza or lines 1 4 seems to have
an association with the Greek Olympiad. In lines 2 4 the reaction of the townspeople is
established. The athlete ...was placed on an emotional and psychological pedestal... (Ruby230).
This athlete was carried shoulder high through the towns place. In line 3 the men and boys are
single out. This singly out could refer to the Greek obsession and love for the physical beauty of
the male body (Ruby 231). Critic Bruce Meyer believes that the athlete was not only a champion
in himself, but was the champion for the town or this society of people. This athlete is a symbol
of the perfection and idealism that society craves. (Meyer 238). The townspeople adore what the
athlete has done because they feel he represents their people (Meyer 238). The athlete has now
died in stanza two, and moved on. The athlete is still being carried shoulder high but know to his
grave sight. The line The road all runners come implicates that all humans run the road of life,
they must also journey to death (Cummings, scr.1). The threshold in line seven where the athletes

It is also referred to as the water cycle. The Grand Canyon contains water resources called a
spring. The canyon contains numerous amounts of springs. They are also part of the hydrologic
cycle. A spring is a water resource formed when the side of a hill, a valley bottom or other
excavation intersects a flowing body of ground water at or below the local water table, below
which the subsurface material is saturated with water. (Perlman, 2011) They can live inside any
type of rock. The springs held within the Grand Canyon discharges groundwater, and this
groundwater supplies drinking water to the Canyon s visitors, Flagstaff, the Coconino Plateau,
etc. The Grand Canyon will continue to change over time. However, it is uncertain as to what
continued acts of weathering and mass wasting will do to it. Since the canyon was developed by
erosion, mass wasting and weathering, the constant shaping of the Grand Canyon will continue.
On the other hand, Geologists believe that the Grand Canyon will be affected by the Colorado
River weathering away at the rock. Over millions of years, weathering, mass wasting and erosion
have been said to form the Grand Canyon. With that said, the Canyon will grow larger, and the
mile deep canyon will greatly increase. Rocks, big and small, will continue to fall down the
Colorado River cutting through more rock layers. It is also predicted that the Grand Canyon will
have a shortage of water supply due to the growing population.

Many people find it proper to pray in school but many people also agree that it is extremely wrong

One major reason why prayer is not allowed in public schools is because people may find it
offensive to them if they do not belong to they religion that the prayer is being said in. This has
been an ongoing argument for many decades and it has not come to a conclusion yet. Everyone
has their own beliefs and usually they do not affect others unless they are directed towards
someone of another religion. If prayer is going to be formally present in public schools, that
school should say a prayer in every religion. They could do this by having someone of each
religion in that school come up with a new prayer each day. Another thing they could do is have
a special prayer for each religion present whether it s a Catholic, Jewish, Islamic, or even
Buddhist prayer. If you want your child to pray and learn a religion in school, send them to a
private school that follows a certain religion and that have certain religious beliefs. A major
reason why I m against prayer in public schools is because the public school system is created
for all students and is paid for by tax payers and fellow citizens. I think that the public schooling
system should remain neutral on religions issues die to the diversity of our students, tax payers,
and our fellow citizens. A public school is set up so that anyone on any religion or race can obtain

The Controllers Of The Air Controllers
Tenerife Air Controllers As mentioned, the air controllers on staff on Sunday, March 27, 1977
was light. This airport was small and on a normal day did not have a lot of air traffic. The airport
was not equipped to handle the amount of planes, or the large planes because they were not the
appropriate size nor did they have the proper dimensions to allow the large planes to make the
appropriate maneuvers. There was no ground radar, there was no ground lights, clouds are
moving in and minimizing visibility, and they had to work in their second language. Why did the
controllers ever feel it was safe to guide planes they were unfamiliar with completely blind? Why
did they not ground the planes when the fog moved in? Controllers are in charge of ensuring the
planes safely land and take off by managing the order of takeoffand each plane s direction. If they

team, but impacted his decisions, Pan Am cockpit crew, the controllers and all the passengers
on both planes. He did not appear to be focused on people during his decision making at Tenerife,
and it is not questionable if there was ever a focus on people. He is very task concerned, and in
the case of Tenerife very focused on himself and hitting the Dutch law deadline, which caused him
to not focus fully on the task of flying his plane safely off of Tenerife. On a normal day

Crimes of the Poverty Stricken vs. the Affluent
The crimes of today are vast and varied amongst the different socioeconomic statuses. Crimes
committed by poverty stricken individuals are many times out of necessity. For example, a mother
who needs to feed her children will often resort to stealing food or small, expensive items that can
be converted to cash. Povertycan lead to high levels of stress that in turn may lead individuals to
commit theft, robbery, or other violent acts. (Taylor 2006). On the other side of the coin there are
also the crimes committed by the affluent. For many of the same reasons such as stress; stress to
succeed or compete with the neighbours or others in the same socioeconomic status. There is also
another dimension to consider that is often overlooked; the degree of violence or careless disregard
of others when these crimes are committed.
The media highlights on a daily basis, crimes being committed across the nation. The news is
usually about the smaller crimes committed by the poverty stricken. Robbery, theft, gang
violence, domestic abuse and drug raids are the hallmark of the news and very often it is
acknowledged, sadly, as a part of day to day life. However, the big news that catches the attention
of almost everyone is the child abductions, murders and rapes. More often than not these crimes are
committed by people that come from affluence. Andrew Luster, the great grandson of Max Factor

Irritating In On The Road
The most irritating part of On the Road is at the end, when Dean leaves Sal, delirious with
dysentery, alone in Mexico to return to New York. After several days of fever induced
unconsciousness, Sal wakes to find Dean preparing to leave. Sal is incredulous and deeply hurt,
but Dean simply smoothes it over with sweet talk, fixes his blanket, and leaves without any valid
explanation. Even once Sal has realized what slimy action that was, he continues justifying it to
himself, concluding he just does not understand how complex Dean s life is. While typical of
Dean and not at all unexpected, this is tremendously disappointing. From the reader s perspective,
this is a very lackluster ending. Both anti climactic and devoid of character development, it
leaves one to question the purpose of everything prior. In a typical novel, there is a rising action,
a climax, and a resolution, whereas here it is only Dean, doing the exact same thing Dean has
always done, while Sal quietly accepts it, even romanticizing it as complexity. In several hundred
pages, everything is relatively the same as it was in the beginning. They have shared adventures
and experiences, but none of the growth one would expect to come from such a journey.... Show

Although Sal can be irritating and entitled, the reader has followed him through many challenges
and developed some level of attachment to him. Despite watching Dean walk out on numerous
people throughout the novel, including his children, Sal really appears to have believed that their
bond was different and that Dean would never throw him away, as he has done to everyone else.
It is sad and painful, both that Dean does walk away so callously, and that it took Sal so long to
realize he would. Furthermore, Sal still glorifies Dean, settling on the notion that he only did what

Chiapas Research Paper
Estado Liber y Soberano de Chiapas, Free and Sovereign State of Chiapas, also known as just
Chiapas is one of the 32 federal entities that exist in Mexico. It is located in southeastern Mexico,
it is the southern most state in Mexico. Chiapas also has a coastline along the Pacific Ocean.
Near Teapa, rainfall in that region can average to more than 3,000mm per year and the rainfall
amount decreases as you move to the south. It s climate in several areas allows some Chiapas
regions to have cloud forests similar to those of the Reserva de la Biosfera el Triunfo. Chiapas is
divided into 122 municipalities and it s capital city Tuxtla Guiterrez. Chiapas is home to some of
the most beautiful ancient Mayan ruins of Palenque, Yaxchilan, Bonapack, and Chinkultic, as well
as being a home to one of the largest indigenous populations in the country with twelve recognized
ethnicities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the pre colombian era, recent excavations in the Soconusco region in that states show that the
oldest civilization to have existed in Chiapas would have be that of Mokaya, existing and thriving
as early as 1500BCE which makes it one of the oldest in Mesoamerica. During it s prelatic era, it
has already been discovered that Chiapas is not Olmec, but it is known that they had close relations
to them. Undergoing extremely well planned importing and exporting, parts of Chiapas can be seen
to have Olmec influenced architecture and products that had originally been made in the Olmec
civilization, including things such as amber, magnetite, and ilmenite. In the classic period in this
region is when the Mayan civilization thrived, giving way for the ruins located in modern day

United States Enacted The Patient Protection And...
In 2010, through President Barrack Obama s advocacy, the United States enacted the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act ( PPACA ) in an effort to ensure that all Americans have
access to health coverage. As part of the PPACA Congress directed the Secretary of the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services ( HHS ) to develop and implement a Medicare Self
Referral Disclosure Protocol. The SRDP is intended to foster the resolution of potential or actual
violations of Stark. This Section will give an in depth look at disclosures prior to SRDP, its
enactment and the important developments in its brief existence. 1. Disclosures Prior to the
SRDP Prior to this enactment providers had the option to make unsolicited or voluntary refunds
to Medicare administrative contractors who process claims and issue payments on behalf of
CMS. Generally, these refunds are in the form of adjustment bills or checks. The Medicare
contractors process the refunds and review the circumstances surrounding the overpayment and
take appropriate steps to resolve the issue. Entities could also request an advisory opinion from
CMS to resolve violations. For CMS to consider an advisory opinion the requester must be a
party to the existing agreement and is the only individual or entity that may rely on that opinion.
Also, entities could make disclosures through the Office of Inspector General ( OIG ) under its Self
Disclosure Protocol ( SDP ). Today a Stark violation may still be

The Depression Of Manic Depression
For my research paper, I decided to look into Manic Depression. I have chosen to write about this
topic because I have been personally dealing with this disorder since about eight years old.
Manic Depression is usually referred to as Bipolar Disorder, but when I tell someone that I am
Bipolar, they just think that it means I get angry easily. People seem to take me more seriously
when I refer to it as Manic Depression. I used to have to take a wide variety of medications and
go to counseling when I was younger because I was having struggles with suicidal urges.
Recently it has gotten significantly worse since the death of my father due to a stroke in 2012.
This is a very serious topic for me because it has made and will continue to make my life more
difficult than it needs to be. Manic Depression first started to get looked into in Greece during the
1st century by Aretaeus of Cappadocia. The research he did was not acknowledged for many
centuries after. The terms manic and depressive come from the ancient Greek terms mania and
melancholia. The ancient Greeks and Romans learned that lithium could be used to treat the
manically depressed people by bathing with lithium salt. In this era, it was very common for the
deeply religious dogma of the time to execute people that suffered from bipolar disorder or any
other mental disorders. During the 17th century, a book named The Anatomy of Melancholy was
written by Robert Burton. The book covered different forms of treatment for

Computer Literacy Evaluation
As a means to analyze computer literacy by age, a population of children, teenagers, young
adults, middle aged adults, and senior citizens were selected to participate in a simple computer
literacy evaluation. Using only a standard laptop computer with the latest Windows operating
system, participants were evaluated on their ability to perform various file management,
networking, and printing tasks. Children, ages 9 12, scored 53%; teenagers, ages 13 17, scored
64%; young adults, ages 18 25, scored 92%; middle aged adults, ages 30 50, scored 64%; and
senior citizens, 60 years or older in age, scored 25% respectively. Overall, the evaluated population
received a computerliteracy rate of 59%. Refer to Figure 7 for a simplified model of the results.
Based on age category, the young adult population led in performance, and the senior citizen
population fell unfavorably short in performance. The average calculated scores for the age
categories failed to form an inverse relationship, where the computer literacy rate decreased as age
increased. Rather, the average scores by age formed a pattern of normal distribution, deeming the
young adult population ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Refer to figure 8 for a graph of the data. While the majority of the participants understood the basics
of file management, the principles of networking proved to be the most challenging and
problematic for participants throughout the evaluation process. Nonetheless, balanced
comprehension of all three evaluation categories is critical for the proper use of a computing
system. In fact, the experiment was designed with emphasis that no single evaluation category took
precedence over another. Given the elementary tasks assigned within each evaluation category, the
results proved that the majority of participants lacked basic computer skills, placing most
participants at a technological

As I gave feedback, I utilized the following skills: I provided feedback in a timely manner immediately after the skill check so that the account of my observations would be fresh in mind. I focused on actionable behaviors, rather than things she could not change. When she seemed flustered and forgetful, I suggested that she take a moment to gather her thoughts, and move slowly through the process until she felt calm and proficient. I used specific examples and concise language. When I noticed that the residents shoes were sticking out from under the side of the bed and looked like a trip hazard, I suggested that the head of the bed would be a safer place to put them. I also made sure utilize and balance positive and negative feedback by making the quintessential positive/ negative/ positive sandwich. I was quick to compliment for her comfortable and friendly demeanor with the resident, then talked about my concerns with giggling and joking around with the wrong audience, then finished with positive observations on her overall skill and competence. I made sure to listen afterwards, and she explained her thoughts and realizations about how things had gone from her perspective, and ended with overall agreement and supportive feelings for each other. Out of the five basic elements of caring communication, I chose to focus on positiveness and openness. In this study, the most common indicator (although it is not the most appropriate) regarding the subject, will be taken as a reference of socioeconomic position; the social stratum. Regarding to the consumption, a data collection will be made of two sample populations, A and B. Population A corresponds to 50 families associated with a public institution, while B corresponds to the same number of families, but associated with a private one. The collection consists of the monthly average of electricity consumption in KWh and the stratum assigned to the dwelling, both stipulated in the invoice of the company providing the service. For legality purposes, the CBD distillery uses the stubbles and stems derived from pesticide free, non GMO and industrial hemp plants. Hemp plants are grown similarly to marijuana plants as they come from the same cannabis species but are grown for different purposes. • 5. Industrialization Vs Industrialization Industrialization had better effects on men and women of the upper and middle classes, than with the men and women of the working classes. Industrialization began in Europe, at the time there was a large rise in population. The population of London grew from 750,000 to 9 million in just two years (11/9). Due to the large growth in population, people were forced to develop new ideas such as new productions of energy and multiple story buildings. The number of factories grew exponentially and as a result, the massive extraction of nonrenewable raw materials to feed and to fuel industrial machinery...altered the landscape in many places (Strayer, 568). The production of factories and work created migration to urban areas, during this time middle class people began needing servants. People of the upper class would have anywhere from three to four clothing changes per day, and it was typical for their staff to consist of forty to one hundred people. Considering the size of the staff, upper classhousing had to be large enough for the staff and family to live in, and not see each other (11/9). This was a very different way of living from those in the working class. Living conditions were better for those in the upper and middle classes than those in the working class, and some ideas presented in the age of Enlightenment carried over into the Industrial Revolution. During the time of the Industrialization, the central value of the middle class culture was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Erik Erickson Psychosocial Stages I remember learning about Erik Erikson a couple times throughout my life but it seemed to be very brief then we moved on to another theorist. Erik Erickson was born in 1902, in Frankfurt, Germany (Erik Erickson). Erickson lived with his mother and her husband, his step father. In 1930 he married his wife, Joan Serson, and in 1933 they moved with their son to the United States (Erik Erickson). They raised three children while living in the United States. Erickson believed that the next stage of life is made up of what happened in the previous life stage (Jalongo page 117). There are eight stages in Erickson s psychosocial stages four of these stages are crucial to development between birth and age twelve (117). The other for begin in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This stage happens during a child s first year of life. During this stage of life it is very important that an infant gets their needs satisfied (Lecture). If needs are met consistently, infants develop trust in others and a hopeful helpful outlook (page 118). This is a very important stage because it is the stepping stone for the other stages and if the infant s needs are not met it makes it hard for the infant to trust people. The next stage in Erik Erickson is autonomy versus shame and doubt. This stage is from ages one to three years old, the toddlers. This is the stage where toddlers become their own person and want to start doing things themselves, like walk and talk. During this stage toddlers conflict centers on their ability to exert ownership over their bodies (page 118). It is also this also this stage that toddlers learn potty training. The third stage of Erikson s psychosocial stages is initiative versus guilt. This stage takes place during the preschool years, ages three to five. During this time preschoolers struggle between their ability to undertake and complete tasks and their fear of failing at those tasks (page 118). Visual cues may need to be provided along with the verbal to aid the child in processing the verbal information. The child with dyslexia can have difficulty with perseverance to task so providing them with diagrams and flow charts depicting the task structure and posters reminding the child of steps to follow to complete the task can help. The teacher should ensure activities are not information overload for the child making the task impossible (DENI, 2011; Gathercole and Alloway, 2008). Also ensure that tasks are not lengthy sequences but meaningful chunks (DENI, 2011, p.100). Distractions should be reduced whilst the child is working for if a child is distracted or interrupted while using working memory the process is lost and the child cannot resume from where they were interrupted (Gathercole and Alloway, 2008).The plenary should also be used to summarise main teaching points so that the learning is more likely to go from short term to long term memory. • 16. What Does It Stand For Dna Research Paper What does DNA stand for? Deoxyribonucleic acid What is DNA? DNA also known as deoxyribonucleic acid is a complex molecule that carries the genetic information in the cell, essential to build and maintain an organism. The shape of the molecule is described as a double helix . The building blocks of DNA are nucleotides. A nucleotide consists of one phosphate molecule, a five sided sugar molecule (deoxyribose sugar), and one nitrogen base. WHERE IS IT FOUND? DNA is located throughout the body, inside organisms called eukaryotes. Which is found inside a special area of the cell called the nucleus. Organisms have DNA molecules, tightly wound and packaged as a chromosome. DNA is not only located in the nucleus, humans also have a small amount of DNA in cell structure in mitochondria. For each DNA molecule that forms into a chromosome can be seen as a set of shorter DNA sequences. These are the units of DNA function called genes. WHAT IS ITS STRUCTURE AND HOW IS IT ARRANGED?... The nitrogenous bases on the two strands of DNA pair up, purine with pyrimidine (adenine with thymine and guanine with cytosine) and are held together by hydrogen bonds. Keywords Fuzzy Sets, Soft Sets, Multi Sets, Fuzzy Topology. I.INTRODUCTION (Heading 1) We may have to face vagueness in most of the engineering, physics, computer sciences, economics, social sciences, environmental science and medical sciences problems. These may be due to the uncertainties of natural environmental phenomena, incompleteness of human knowledge about the real world or due to the limitations of the means and methods used to take measurements. We can see vagueness or uncertainty when we decide the boundary between the continents or between different seas, when the growth rate of population in a country s rural area is determined or when we make decisions using database information. In all these cases classical set theory, which is based on crisp concept will not furnish the exact information. The mathematical ideas like probability theory, fuzzy sets [12], rough sets [10] are well known as effective models for dealing with such uncertainties. The conversion experience a sudden realization brought about by divine intervention, a vision, or perhaps a dream easily translates into the dream allegory of Hawthorne s work and allows the author to use Puritan doctrine and the history of Salem to argue the merits and consequences of such a belief. Major issues and themes of Puritanism must have been researched and delicately placed into Hawthorne s discussion of not only past consequences of Puritan zeal but also on the contemporary religious issue of his own time, the Second Great Awakening. Much like the nighttime witches Sabbath that awaits Goodman Brown, the tent revivals of the 1820 s and 1830 s could be seen by the questioning Hawthorne as another attempt by the church to sway its membership towards total obedience and faith. The importance placed on this event by Goodman Brown shows the importance placed on the conversion experience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The purpose behind that is to show some sense of strength, as an old man he won t exhibit super strength or any sort of power like Mr. Incredible, but instead he exhibits the old saying that with age comes wisdom; within that scene that is exactly what strength he is showing. Mr. Frederickson wants to show that he is strong and capable enough to get there without help. However, as the movie progresses his vulnerability becomes more visible. The want to show strength and to appear strong comes from the emasculation of the characters. Mr. Incredible was this well known superhero that went around saving the city from robbers, criminals, and other events. However the city soon retired him for the amount of damage he caused, leading to him having to obtain a real job and provide for a family. His series of events are Mr. Incredible s emasculation. Everyone has their own beliefs and usually they do not affect others unless they are directed towards someone of another religion. If prayer is going to be formally present in public schools, that school should say a prayer in every religion.
