Connotations for red include pain, anger, heartache, love however the images on this picture contradict this and portray a lack of love. Connotations for white may include purity and innocence; with the use of a child that has been centralised could symbolise their innocence and purity and that this is something forced upon them, in turn adding a sense of sympathy with counteracts with the purpose of the advert. The shot type used is a 3shot that includes the different people included in the shot, the 3 people used may represent that this can occur in any age. Ironically, the caption’ GIVE US A SMILE’ gives the opposite idea to what the advert is really about.
