While converting classroom training material to eLearning helps use your resources, saving time and cost, you need to ensure eLearning design is seamless for courses to be relevant and engaging. This SlideShare compiles 10 must-know best practices.
Capability Building is one of the top most strategic priority for an organization. Even after taking many measures, the real benefit is never realized. With this Presentation a small effort is made to analyze the effectiveness of the different measures taken by the Organizations in building capabilities. The various problems are discussed along with the Vision, Principles and frameworks to resolve the same.
In this short presentation, I explore the relationship between Kaizen (lean) manufacturing and Agile Software Development to arrive at an easy to consume description of Dev/Ops
We had an overwhelming number of you who wanted to learn more about how to enhance your training programs with stunning visuals and interactivity of your content. It seemed you couldn’t get enough of our last webinar! You know as well as we do that optimizing the way you deliver content can motivate learners, improve retention rates and boost engagement.
There is an insatiable need for Project Management Skills, to deliver project outcomes and not just manage processes. Mere knowledge certification is just not enough.
The program approach is based on research, which reveals that 90% of learners will be able to adapt a new skill into practice as a result of theory, demonstration, practice, feedback and in-situation coaching.
This program addresses this widening gap and focuses on professional skills development.
Managing projects in the real world requires practical skills to tackle the many challenges one encounters. Changing client requirements, multiple scope change requests, limited resources, lack of authority, difficult stakeholders are all problems that, Project Manager’s often face and must manage and control. We have inevitably seen professionals who struggle to apply classroom knowledge in real-life scenarios.

Teaching Agile at Universities by Javaid AliAgile ME
Several recent surveys show that agile methodologies like Scrum, Extreme Programming and Kanban have been successfully adopted by many companies for product development. However, the same surveys show that only few of the agile practices are applied consequently and thoroughly. This is to a great extent due to the lack of skilled personnel. University is the place where you can develop such skilled personnel. Like any other discipline taught in a university , “Agile” could also be a part of university curriculum and like other graduates produced by universities, an Agile project manager could also be produced. This session analyzes the current situation of teaching Agile at university level.
Agile software development describes a set of principles for software development under which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams. It advocates adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continuous improvement, and it encourages rapid and flexible response to change. These principles support the definition and continuing evolution of many software development methods.
The Agile Method and AGILE ISD; how to use each to improve your training programChristopher King
The term "agile" is being used readily to express the desire organizations have to be responsive and flexible to change in their organization. The Agile development method is designed to quickly and efficiently produce software products. Recently its application has expanded to other areas including training products. AGILE ISD is a new way of thinking about education where performance is the metric that drives the development and delivery decisions in an organization’s training program. It recognizes the long tail of learning and the five moments of learning need. AGILE ISD provides strategies for creating a culture of learning at your organization.
While these two agile methods are for different purposes, they are not mutually exclusive. This session will explain how your organization can use both methods to your advantage and success. We clarify some of the different uses of the term agile within the learning and development community. In this session we will cover:
• Agile (software) movement - its history, its main tenets, different types of agile frameworks and how to incorporated into the ADDIE training methodology
• AGILE ISD – is a methodology developed by Dr. Conrad Gottfredson that aims to supplement ADDIE by expanding its scope to include informal learning design. We cover its history, its main tenants, principles of agile education, and incorporating AGILE ISD into the ADDIE training methodology
• How the two approaches can both be successfully applied in your L&D organization

Rapid scale directly impacts all levels of decision-making, planning, execution, culture, and communications for executives in hypergrowth companies. In this session, we will discuss how to organize, support, and tailor agile practices for teams and sub-teams in companies with a rapid growth cycle. We will share contemporary case studies of hypergrowth companies who have delivered agile at scale.
Topics will include:
• Basic agile and lean methods
• Scrum of Scrums
• SAFe
• Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD)
• Agility at Scale (Ambler/Lines)
• Spotify model (Tribes, Squads, Chapters & Guilds, DSDM).
Deliver on time and improve communication with the business to minimize project failure.
Your Challenge
The Agile evangelists are having trouble converting others to the Agile philosophy.
Your team is facing pressure to deliver projects in a smaller time frame. The Waterfall approach is causing projects to go over budget, misunderstanding of project owners’ expectations, and late delivery to the end-customer.
Projects that get implemented successfully may be susceptible to problems as the software gets older and crucial changes are too expensive.
A consolidation roadmap that is based on an easy-to-implement method will ease the burden on resource and infrastructure maintenance.
Our Advice
Critical Insight
Agile is not suitable for all organizations, or all projects. Carefully select pilot projects that have the greatest chance of success and determine the right requirements or risk significant cost overruns to fix problems or roll back development.
An Agile rollout may require peripheral projects to be accelerated.
Agile will modify internal roles and processes. Get ready for change management.
Impact and Result
Agile will improve communication and transparency between teams and stakeholders, which will lead to higher quality products and fluid team dynamics.
The success of the Agile pilot should be used to build the case for an organizational-wide deployment.
In order for your organization to stay competitive, it must place focus on delivering projects at a quicker pace with the right features.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
