3.  In this Film Poster, the colour scheme used come
from same/similar colour pallet ; white, black and
different shades of blue.. The colours used for the
poster are neutral and plain colour which gives the
poster an unknowing atmosphere creating
suspense and tension. the color scheme of blue,
white and black is very consistent and are blended
together. the gradient effect of the colors makes the
image look unreal and very hard to identify what
type of eye it is as they are not flesh tones which
suggests that it is not human. I think the cooler
colors such as the white and blue create a cold and
unwelcoming mood.

4.  I believe the image used within the poster has two
images put together (Sandwich print). the eye is
the main image for the poster, we don't know who
or what the eye belongs to, this makes the viewer
curious to know as they is no identify given. The
close up of the eye suggest that the eye is the focal
point of the image and makes it important. The
skin surroundings the eye looks like it has
smoothed texture but the colours used makes the
skin look dirty and a little bit scratched up. The
eye does not have a pupil which creates a ghost,
demon or alien like effect. The fact that the bit of
blood is shown as blue instead of red gives an
effect of inhuman existence.

5.  The information of the film; release dates, casting, title,
etc are all located at the bottom of the page and the title
and actors/actress are both in the same dark blue
colour and bigger than the other text which make them
stands out from the rest of the text and suggest that
they are more important. The font for the credits is
very small and hard to see which suggest that it less
vital. I believe this technique gives the audience the
information that they need from the poster and may
encourage the audience to go watch the film. The
framing of the poster only allows the eye to be seen as
it is in the middle of poster; the angle of the image
doesn’t show any other feature of the face which create
mystery and suspense to the poster as you don’t know
who or what the eye belongs to. The light is mostly
shunned on the eye compared to the background.

6.  I think by separating the tagline from the rest of the
other text emphasis on the tagline which makes it
power and creates more tension within the poster. I
think it would be better for my group and I to put
the tagline on its own so it stands out on its own.
The white font contrasts against the dark
background, this helps it stands out more as it is up
at the top and could have been easy to not notice
but the colour solves that issue. This film poster has
inspired me a lot more and has a lot of elements
that I would use for my own poster compared to
the other case studies that I have researched.
