The Cordillera Administrative Region is located within the Central Cordillera Mountain Range of northern Luzon in the Philippines. It was created by executive order in 1987 and consists of the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province. Farming and mining are the main industries in the region, while the people, collectively known as Igorots, engage in traditions and crafts like woodcarving and weaving.
