Participants in the Distance Education and Learning program will give 10 minute capstone presentations on April 24th or 26th about the distance-based training they are developing. The presentations will provide an overview of their training and include the intended audience, topic, learning objectives, teaching strategies, assessment strategies, technologies used, and any challenges. Participants must submit their Word or PowerPoint file for their presentation by April 21st using the Assignment Tool in CourseSites.

Capstone Presentations
April 24 or April 26
Each participant will share a 10 minute presentation of the distance-based training that they are
planning to develop. The presentation will provide an overview of their training and will include:
- Intended audience.
- Topic of learning/training session (description of training)
- Learning objectives
- Teaching strategies
- Assessment strategies
- Technology(ies) to be used
- Areas of challenge
There will be two sessions offered and participants will participate in one of these two sessions.
Please be prepared to share your plan using Word or PowerPoint. Submit your Word or
PowerPoint file in advance using the Assignment Tool in CourseSites by Friday April 21.
To submit using the Assignment Tool:
- Go to SESSION MATERIALS.
- Click the CAPSTONE PRESENTATIONS folder.
- Click the FINAL TRAINING PLAN – SUBMIT HERE link.
- Under the ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION section, click the BROWSE MY COMPUTER button
to attach your file.
- If you want, add comments in the ADD COMMENTS section.
- Click the SUBMIT button.
Session 3 Evaluation: In addition, prior to the capstone presentations, please complete the
Session 3 evaluation, which will be sent to you by email after the session.
