Uses And Methods Of A Magnetic State Reaction
Gadolinium (Gd) doped antiperovskite compounds Mn3Cu1 xGdxN were synthesized
by the conventional solid state reaction. With increasing Gd concentration, two
magnetic transitions appeared, at a high Curie temperature (TC1) corresponding to
paramagnetic (PM) ferromagnetic (FM) transition and a low temperature (TC2)
ascribed to the FM antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition. The magnetic relaxation
results show the formation of a magnetic metastable state after the FM AFM
transition at low temperature(lower than TC2), forming a novel magnetic step feature
in the process from AFM to FM under a certain magnetic field.

However, besides conventional transition metal (TM) atoms, utilizing the rare earth
atoms with 4f electrons to replace Cu has not yet been achieved and may introduce
new magnetic couplings such as the f d and f f f couplings. These new exchange
interactions may induce novel physical features in the antiperovskite structures. Thus,
a systematical investigation on the physical properties of rare earth elements doped
Mn3AN is required and may also benefit us in further understanding their intrinsic
physical properties and designing a new type of the device based on the
antiperovskite compounds.
In this study, Gd with a high TC of 289 K was selected to replace Cu, and a series
of Mn3Cu1 xGdxN (x = 0.15, 0.17, 0.19, and 0.25) were synthesized. Both the
structural and magnetic properties measurement showed that with increasing Gd
content, a typical FM PM transition appeared and gradually shifted towards high
temperature. Simultaneously, a FM AFM transition accompanied by a crystal
transition from cubic to tetragonal was observed and moves to low temperature with
increasing Gd content. With x in the range from 0.17 to 0.19, a typical magnetization
step characteristic was observed at 50 K owing to the magnetic phase separation.

Racial Intolerance In The United States
When did the illusion of progress mask our true regressive state? From 1955 1968,
the United States experienced a civil rights movement that changed the nation. The
civil rights movement was a movement to secure equal rights for all races. Many
claim that if activists such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. were alive
today, they would feel overjoyed. Personally, I find this to be untrue. While the
activists of the civil rights movement were focused on the discrepancies between
racial equality, I believe their ultimate goal was equality and tolerance on a much
broader scale. I believe that activists, if alive today, would find that they had only
diminished the country of racial intolerance, not intolerance in general. Our
progressive tolerance for other races is concealing our growing intolerance for other
religions. Religious Intolerance is a growing problem in the United States. It is a
problem that has harmed many emotionally and physically. It is also a problem that

Immanuel Kant s Good Will
It is difficult to credit just one philosopher as the most influential. Thomas Hobbes
Social Contract Theory may very well be responsible for the relationship between
rulers have forged with its people, as he believed man should submit to authority for
without a leader to govern the people, man would live in disarray. Immanuel Kant
suggests an act of Good Will should be considered a moral obligation not a desired
gesture. He understood in an unconditional moral obligation that is binding in all
circumstances and is not dependent on a person s inclination or purpose (Philosophy
.com). Although each of these philosophers make compelling arguments, one has to
wonder, who inspired them? Since the dawn of time, men behaved like beasts with no
concept of morality, no political conviction or even the perception of happiness. One
philosopher above all others may have singlehandedly designed societies way of
thinking, and may have also inspired the aforementioned philosophers Aristotle.
Aristotle was a Greek Philosopher born in 384 BC. He was once an apprentice to
the legendary Plato himself. However, Aristotle s wisdom accorded him a reputation
that would one day rival that of his mentor. He lived in a time when men regarded

Many believe it is simply seeking a pleasurable end, Aristotle also believed it to be
so. In Nicomachean Ethic, he asserts, Happiness, then is found to be something
perfect and self sufficient, being the end to which our actions are directed.
Happiness is one of man s greatest pursuits; it is, after all, within our nature to seek
pleasure; but at what cost? Seeking pleasure at the expense of others is immoral to
say the least. However, one may also argue that it is also immoral to deprive a man
of certain pleasures for it may affect someone else. Aristotle believed in virtue and
justice. A just man would not seek pleasure for his own personal gain and would put
the need of others before his

Introduction:
This research report will discuss and analyse the different methods used to
manage, prevent, manage and control the increase of drug offences. Drug offences
are any illegal substance which could harm the body. The Misuse of drugs Act
1971 came into place to prevent the non medical use of certain drugs. Drugs are
divided into 3 classes A B and C. Drugs are categorised into 3 section mainly
because different classes of drugs cause more harm to the user or to the society. For
example, anything which is classes as Class A is the most harmful substance. Class A
drugs include, cocaine, methadone, ecstasy, LSD and heroin. Class B includes,
cannabis, amphetamines and codeine and Class C includes, GHB, ketamine, steroids
and tranquilisers. (Talktofrank.com, 2016). This report will incorporate theory,
college of policing research practices, and the relevant legislative and policing
framework which help prevent, reduce and control drug offences.

Theology Reflection
In every field of study there is tension in definitions, but in theology, the word
theology itself is full of tension. On one hand, it is almost indescribable because it
studies God who is without perfect description, but on the other hand St. Anselm s
statement, faith seeking understanding seems to describe with perfect flexibility what
it means to practice theology. My intent is to attend Graduate school at Marquette
University so that I can dive deeper into the history, study, and communication of
what it means for faith to seek understanding. My faith began to seek
understanding from an early age as I entered Catholic schools and learned about
what it meant to be Catholic. There, I was formed and there I was raised: I grew to
know and love the Church and God through my experiences in Catholic schools.
My teachers imparted to us the prayers and called us to do more than just pray the
words: to live out the words within our lives. It was here I that I became compelled
to question the systems of justice in the world and in the church. My sister, born with
a cognitive disability, was told she could not receive the Eucharist when it came time
for her first communion. This prompted my family to dedicate time and work to
make and create spaces in the Church for people with disabilities. In the space of
Catholic schools, my faith needed understanding; it needed theology, which would
illuminate how to construct change to help open the doors to marginalized people in
the public square to be welcomed into the Church. During my time as an
undergraduate student at the University of Dayton, I continued to develop skills and
knowledge assisting me in the process of faith seeking understanding. I chose to
pursue two degrees: a B.A. in religious studies and a B.S.E. in Secondary Catholic
Education. The former became my love, nothing excited me like going to a religion
class. Here, I learned about the methods behind theology and deepened my
understanding of my religion and my faith. My education degree formed me into
someone more than just a teacher. My education degree served me in more ways than
just teaching in high schools because it taught me the invaluable skills of
communication, planning, research, and
The Triple Bottom Line Is A Global Authority On
Corporate...
If we were to ask 5 different people the definition of sustainability, we would receive
5 different answers. However, the triple bottom line is a typical concept used often
when talking about the subject of sustainability within a business. John Elkinston, a
global authority on corporate social responsibility and sustainabilitycoined the phrase
for the first time in his book Cannibals with Forks: The Triple Bottom Lineof 21st
Century Business , in 1997. His argument was that the methods by which companies
measure value should not only include financial bottom line, profit or loss but also a
social, economic and environmental one as well (John Elkington, 1997). The concept
has evolved into one that often has 3 overlapping circles which indicates that
sustainability is typically defined as the place where economic success, social
responsibility and environmental protection are all as significant as each other in
business. In other words, the concept of the triple bottom line mainstreams the idea of
sustainability as including people, planet and profit. It allows a business understand
that a long term sustainability in an organisation requires more than just financial
equity. It also helps to clarify that when businesses consider what sustainability means
for them, it doesn t mean that they had to give up the notion of financial success
(Katz, RAK., Page, AP, 2013, Pages 852 855). The public is not satisfied with
organisations who mainly concentrate on short term profit

way he behaves, the way he speaks etc. Sometimes, I just think that it could be

percent of what he is. But let s start to describe the way that Arron looks like. At
first sight, you could see that he doesn t care about his clothes; however, when you
will know him, you could notice that he dresses all kinds different cheap informal
clothes such as jeans and T shirts. His clothes fit well with the way he looks, Arron
is tall and thin, he always has a long hair, and he is black haired. In other words

Authority In The Florentine Republic
During the Italian Renaissance and particular in the Florentine Republic, the Roman
Catholic Church had a strong influence on the state and regarded the relationship
between moral good governance and legitimate authority highly. In contrast during
this period NiccolГІ di Bernardo dei Machiavelli (1469 1527) an official in the
Florentine Republic from 1498 to 1512, consisted that there is no moral basis on
which to judge the difference between legitimate and illegitimate uses of power.
When the Medici was out of power Machiavelli was involved in diplomatic and
military affairs. Arrested and tortured in 1513, accused of conspiracy against Medici

For many years of her childhood, she was constantly teased and abused because
she was different. Even through the abuse, Jodee always stayed kind and caring.
One person she helped was her high school friend Noreen. Jodee befriended the
lonely girl in her speech class, later she learned how much it helped Noreen.
Noreen, just like Jodee, was constantly harassed for being different, leading her to
have no friends at the high school. Jodee gave Noreen someone to share her pain
with, and gave her someone she could trust in. Another person Jodee helped was
Marianne. Jodee helped her by working with the deaf children at Holy Ascension,

compared to the deaf kids she was different, and they couldn t understand her. ... A

Essay on Happiness and Health in a Connecticut Nursing
Home
2.The question presented in this study is would increasing the power and control an
individual have over their life cause them to be more happy and healthy? This is an
important question because the results could help patients in nursing homes to be
both happier and healthier. Langer and Rodin s hypothesis was that if patients in a
nursing home were given more control over their lives and activities, they would
show improvements in mental alertness, activity level, satisfaction with life, and
other measures of behavior and attitude.

group was shown to either decline or basically stay the same. More participants from
the responsibility group attended the movie, and 10 of them participated in the jelly
bean game as compared to the 1 participant from the comparison group.
5.Langer and Rodin concluded that the findings from their study supported their
hypothesis, and that individuals are indeed happier and healthier when given some
degree of control over their lives. In fact 18 months after the study the participants
in the increased responsibility group were in a super condition than those who
were in the control group. They also found that while 30% of the participants in the
comparison group had since passed away, only 15% of the experimental group had
died. 6.Probably the biggest concern there is in regards to this study is the one
pointed out by Langer and Rodin, which is that it may have been unethical to present
the participants with a greater level of control over their lives just to have it taken
away. This study impacted the history of psychologyby proving that a sense of
control is important for peoples physical and mental health.

Alan Kingston s No Name Woman
No Name Woman begins with You must not tell anyone, a powerful statement
leading into the story of an aunt the narrator s family has erased the existence of.
This short story provides the readers with a better understanding of traditional
Chinese culture and the role of women in their society. Throughout the story, the
narrator provides the reader with information about Chinese culture and the role
women play in it. This first sentence reveals the secretive nature of Chinese society.
The narrator s mother starts and ends a short retelling of her aunt s story with
reminders to keep it a secret. While the narrator never explicitly states this, it is also
clear that China has a strong patriarchy. When talking about marriage, the narrator
says that a synonym for marriage in Chinese is taking a daughter in law (Kingston,

Descriptive Essay On Fast Food
In our quickly growing society, full of capitalism, advertisements seem to have
become the backdrop to our bustling lives. Though we seem to overlook their
presence, throughout all American cities, Ads are what fill all the empty spaces,
from store front windows, to big billboards in the skies. These brightly colored
pictures, that flood our vision as we drive to work, or even stroll down the mall,
have a more influential effect on our daily lives then we realize. A perfect example
of this is with the foodindustry.
Fast Food is becoming a routine stop for many Americans, as they go about their day.
This is causing health to also be on the minds of consumers. You d think this would
defer people from continuing their daily, fast food pit stop, but in reality, it s the
industries that are changing their own advertisements to promote their healthy
options instead. When you take a moment to look at the ads promoting your favorite
food brands, you ll start to notice the emphasis on things such as calorie count,
ingredients, and freshness of the food. You can clearly see these attributes when
analyzing the three different posters, for three different food products, that I have
selected.
The first poster, is an image of a Heinz ketchup bottle, created using fresh slices of
tomatoes. The second poster is promoting a Veggie Burger from McDonald s by
forming the image of a cow using various vegetables. While the last poster is for the
popular smoothie brand, Naked, in which you see a healthy looking woman running,
with the words Our machines don t run on added sugar or preservatives and neither
will you .
While analyzing the first poster, for Heinz ketchup, your eyes quickly realizes the
well known glass Heinz bottle to be made up entirely of thick slices of tomatoes.
The rest of the poster is merely a red background with a small Heinz slogan at the
bottom, which reads, No one grows ketchup like Heinz . The poster is simple, with
only two focal points, the bottle, and the slogan. This forces the consumers to only
focus on what the producer wants them to gather, which is, in this case, the idea of
natural and fresh ingredients. The simplicity of the ad also seems to represent that the
popular ketchup brand

Therefore, any participant could require a paid parental leave with the birth of a

having a kid is even more challenging to the parents life. Although the majority of
the cost of the program would come from the participants income, the major

adults born after 1985 do not want to have kids. The unwillingness to give up
flexibility is the most cited reason between the participants; in a state with no paid
maternity leave, you need to be very flexible to have a kid. What does that have to do

on the perception of the organization. For instance, verbal communication may not
always be face to face where these leaders may have to delegate or receive

Perspectives on Shylock from Shakespeare s Merchant of...
Shylock is a character famously known as being the antagonist of Shakespeare s
play merchant of Venice. In this play, Shakespeare portrayal of Shylock the
moneylender is one of anti Semitic stereotype. Shylock is depicted as a typical
bloodthirsty Jew who lives a life void of any depth or meaning. His sole purpose
for living seems to be to amass wealth and vengeance as seen from his adamant claim
for his pound of flesh . Despite Shakespeare s attempts to humanize Shylockat points
in the story, it appears that his primary focus is to steer the audience against
Shylock, painting him as being a cruel, bitter and inaffable figure. It is clear that in
both Shakespeare s merchant of Venice and Grace Tiffany s Turquoise Ring, Shylock

The victimization of Shylock for being a Jew makes the reader sympathize with him
and for the fact that he is Jewish. It lends an understanding as to how Shylock
cultivated a hate for Christians and his justification in doing so. In contrast,
Shakespeare makes no mention of Shylock s past and uses his Judaism as the sole
means for his distinctive torment of Antonio.
The Turquoise Ring gives depth to Shylock s character by providing insight into his
relationship with his daughter Jessica. While the merchant of Veniceseems to Portray
Shylock as a hostile and overprotective father, the Turquoise Ring offers a different
perspective on the matter. It gives an understanding as to the reason for the
constant contention seen between Shylock and his daughter. Shylock tells his
daughter, an angel were you, that did preserve me , showing the central role
Jessica plays in Shylocks life. After escaping the atrocities of his homeland in
Toledo, Spain, Shylock is left with nothing of importance in his life but his
daughter Jessica. His concerned for her is what motivates Shylock to try and create
a very sheltered life for his daughter, fearing that he would lose the only thing he
had left. After all that he had sacrificed, to lead for his family a Jewish lifestyle in
spite of the dangerous implications of doing so, Shylock would not allow his

The King In Oedipus The King
In the popular Greek tragedy Oedipus the King, the plot shows how a single bad
trait can lead to the fall of a once great man. The author Sophocles portrays the story
of the titular where a hero rises to fame after solving the city of Thebes great riddle.
The solution to the riddle frees Thebes of its curse from the Sphinx and relieves the
city s misery. Although Oedipusis praised and crowned king for freeing the city, he is
not entirely a good man. Oedipus is very arrogant, which causes him to make several
bad decisions. Through the story of Oedipus the King, Sophocles warns readers not to
let arrogance blind them from reality, for it will eventually result in tremendous
suffering.
At the beginning of this Greek drama, Oedipus is blind due to his arrogance. For
example, when the city is in shambles and the Chorus marches around the altar
praying to the gods, Oedipus walks in and says to them, You pray to the gods? Let
me grant your prayers (245). He believes he can answer the people of Thebes
prayers. Additionally, Oedipus is convinced he has god like powers because of his
role as king and his previous success in solving the Sphinx s riddle. His past leads
him to believe he is always right, which is exactly what happens when he
encounters the prophet. Oedipus says, Blind, / lost in the night, endless night that
nursed you! / You can t hurt me or anyone else who sees the light / you can never
touch me (425 28). Oedipus attacks the prophet with insults for saying that he was
the one that killed Laius. Again, Oedipus reveals his exaggerated sense of his own
abilities and believes that it is impossible for him to be wrong. Oedipus considers
himself to be one of the fortunate who are able to see the light (427) and cannot be
steered in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, in King Oedipus case, his high ego
leads to his great demise.
As this drama progresses, Oedipus begins connecting the dots and restoring his
vision. When Jocasta explains how her husband died to Oedipus, he says, I have a
terrible fear the blind seer can see (823). Oedipus is now suspecting that the
prophecy is true because of the similarities between Laius death and the man he had
killed. He begins to stop worrying about his ego and
Essay On Tank Man
Disobedience is inevitable. It is an overtaking urge you to express when you
encounter something that you disagree with. However, some of the greatest acts
of disobedience have lead us to a path of improvement. Some examples can lead to
a path to Rosa Parks and the Tank Man . These bold people were seen as rebels in
society, but they were rebels of justice. Rosa Parks was and still is one of the most
recognized symbols of history. When she refused to surrender her bus seat to a white
person in Montgomery, she started a new revolutionary wave of the Civil Rights
Movements. When she neglected to give her seat, the whole African Americanrace
could be seen through her actions. But the American society did not appreciate her
disobedient approach and therefore sent her to jail. However, her bold action was not
taken for granted by those who hungered for justice. The people started to boycott all

The Tank Man was protester who stood in front of a military tank after they ceased

statements against the former government. Although they did retire strict laws
involving their human rights, the Chinese government still held onto their dictating
ruling. However, the Tank Man s valiant act of disobedience introduced to the
world the concept of bravery when your life is on the brink of destruction. The idea
of disobedience is thought to be a defeatist way to express yourself towards others.
Nevertheless, the outcome of any unruly action may not always end in an adverse
consequence. By observing the influence of both Rosa Parks and the Tank Man , we
can conclude that some of the most drastic revolutionary transformations of all time
have occurred because of various disobedient

Teaching A Rural Area That Qualifies For Title I Funding
I teach in a rural area that qualifies for Title I funding, so you can imagine that I

served as a classroom teacher for the past twenty years, my lessons go well beyond
my classroom. Through the Texas public educationsystem, I have had to interact with
parents on a daily basis, and most days that involves educating the parent as to what is
happening in their child s classroom. But, it is not just the student parent teacher
relationship that needs fostering; as educators we must continue to educate our own
whether they are a first year teacher or a veteran.
Through the years I have been given several opportunities to advance into
administration, but I have realized my passion lies in the classroom developing
students and teachers through servant leadership. I believe my realization happened
when serving as a Mentor Teacher through TAP. Being part of TAP, I realized that I
have much to offer other teachers, and I can serve peers without forfeiting service to
my students. This was quite a welcomed relief because servant leadership is what I
love, and I just happen to do that through education. Serving as a Mentor Teacher, I

Persuasive Essay On Being A Outsider
Being an outsider is a position that an individual does not fit in with the rest of
society. Areas of society are often called clique at which we feel like we must
coordinate our actions to follow and pleases. Those actions leads to the
anonymous question should the outside, those who do not follow the rest be
embraced or rejected. Corresponding with the rights of our world, we are seen as
equal, yet we do not always follow that. Outsiders should be rejected, providing
them growth, individuality through independence and, crucial life skills. Like a
seed planted in the soil growing into a nice tree. Similar to the seed outsiders are
born and left to grow. They are living , breathing, eating and drinking yet they are
not as high on the competition list as others are who follow the same steps. With
that said the seed or outsiders are left to grow while being independent they from
senses of personal goals which allow them to transform their minds around whatever
that goalmay be, possible career, academics or even financial goals at which only
make them better and stronger people. Each of these people begin with
disadvantages that could have, and at times did exclude them from normal society.
But each turned their differences into advantages (Clark). Critics say that the growth

rankings. Arguing that starts with the everlasting example of success that is

al (2011) showed that significant differences existed between the two groups in the
development of their physical fitness and gross motor coordination. Initially, the
data showed that boys ages 10 12 that sampled multiple sports had significant
differences in strength, speed, agility, and gross motor coordination. There also
existed a positive correlation between the number of hours spent participating in
sports per week and its effect on performance. Boys who spent more hours per
week training did significantly better on the strength, flexibility, speed, agility,
cardiovascular endurance, and gross motor coordination tests among all age groups.
Advantages of this study include that it s ability to gather data from a large

Organizational Structure Of An Organization
1.Introduction
An organization is defined as a group of people who work together in an organized
way for shared purpose. When people come together, they can either compliment one
another or potentially create conflicts and disagreements in the course of pursuing
common objectives with their differentiated experiences, perceptions and knowledge.
Managing an organization involves putting a structure to the business so that
managers can manage, supervise and coordinate its people and organization s
performance. A structure serves as a framework for the purpose of outlining clear
operating guidelines in order to keep the organization functional. It defines the
hierarchical lines of authority, establishing job roles and responsibilities, details
communication channels to determine how information should flow within the
organization. A well fitted organizational structurewill have positive impacts on both
its employees and its performance.
2.Organizational Structures
Organizational structures exist in two basic forms, the organic and the mechanistic,
each contrastive of another (Burns Stalker, 1961). Measured by four main elements
of an organization s characteristics; standardization, formalization, role specifications,
and centralization of its operating unit, the time taken and frequency of future
activities and change implementations are also taken into consideration.
Seen in Appendix 1, the diagram depicts the four elements an organization can
structure itself.

On reading Franz Cumont introduction it is obvious he is scathing in his comments
towards the practise of astrology. Along with his contempt of the continuing growth
in the belief of astrology and how, throughout humankind, intellects, academics and
ordinary folk continue to show interest in it.1 It will be argued that Franz Cumont is

Nicholas Campion, author of Prophecy, Cosmology And The new Age Movement:
The Extent and Nature of Contemporary Belief In Astrology , also argues against this
theory of the decline of astrology by explaining Patrick Curry s distinction of a three
tiered astrology in Power and Prophecy. A high variety of astrology for the
academics and Philosophers, a middling astrology based on horoscopes cast for
individual clients and a third the low form of astrology mainly mass produced
chronicles. Campion suggests that Curry demonstrated that only the high form of
astrology declined and the middling astrology dwindled in isolated cases, whereas,
the low form of astrology continued to grow.5 Illustrating once again that astrology
did not necessarily decline or die with the scientific discovery of the heliocentric
theory as Cumont suggests.
Cumont continues to show his contempt for ancient astrological roots by suggesting
that astral mathematics had been wrapped up in ancient primal superstitions and he is
astonished it could be linked with intellectual
The Book Thief Empowerment In Book
The Book Thief: Empowerment in Books Liesel Meminger expresses her feelings,
independence, and power through books, whether it is through stealing, reading,
or writing them. Books play a crucial role in the development of Liesel s character
and influences the various decisions she makes. The ability to read and write helps
Liesel discover who she is, and it helps her understand the people as well as the
world around her better. She realizes the corruption of her country and the
unnecessary cruelty towards the Jewish people, as well as how full of hatred the
world contains. Literature shapes Meminger into an extraordinary young woman,
and it conclusively results in her survival in World War II. In the beginning of the
novel, Liesel is illiterate and overall powerless to the people around her. After
enduring the abrupt death of her little brother, Liesel steals her first book, The Grave
Digger s Handbook. In that moment in time, one would believe that the book was
worthless to her since she was unable to comprehend it. On the contrary, the book
gives her a reminder of her brother and that solemn snowy day. This first book acts
as her first step towards the understanding of the world around her, and how
heartless it really is. Even without being able to grasp the supposed purpose of the
book, the book serves a different principle for Liesel, which ignites the long journey
ahead of her. Once Liesel is comfortable in her new home with Rosa and Hans
Hubermann, she finally begins discovering the world of literature with the help of
Hans. She practices through writing on the basement wall and reading with Hans at
the Amper River. Booksare now becoming a prominent part of her life thanks to

Dog and The Lighthouse for Liesel. These books serve the purpose of showing the
importance of family for Liesel. Even though Rosa is extremely stiff to her
daughter, she truly loves her. Hans absolutely adores Liesel, and practically brings
her passion for literature to life. After analyzing her book collection multiple times,
Liesel soon grows tired of her selection. Her need to obtain another book, even if it

Importance Of Social Entrepreneurship Essay
IS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP THE BEST WAY TO HELP PEOPLE IN
NEED?
Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business
while social entrepreneurs launch the business and implement solutions to social,
cultural, or environmental issues simultaneously. Bill Drayton once said, There is
nothing more powerful than a new idea in the hands of a social entrepreneur. In the
world, there are billions of people have no access to education, healthcare, clean
drinking water, food and even the basic human rights and respect. Violence, poverty
and more global issues are at the alarm rate nowadays. These matters have to be
tackled immediately before it is too late to do so. In our opinion, social
entrepreneurship is the best way to help the needy and overcome the problem. New
ideas, opportunities and technologies are sought in solving long standing social
problems. There is a good example to indicate our words, social entrepreneur in
South America, Steve Katsaros. Can you imagine what was life like when oil
lamps and candles were all we had to light our cities with? Indoors was just as
treacherous as outdoors. Katsaros invented a solar powered light bulb that provide
isolated villages with power, thus bypassing the need to bring a power
infrastructure out to remote areas. It has brought a great change in their daily lives
which allow people to work, study and play at night without the use of kerosene
lamps, which may pollute the environment and arise the respiratory diseases such as
asthma. Consequently, Katsaros was able to bring convenience to the people while
he can also stay in his business by selling the bulbs to the people. (The Guardian,
2009)
To cite the saying that social entrepreneurship is the best way to help people in need,
we would like to provide an outstanding example of social enterprise which is
Grameen Bank. Grameen Bank was officially founded in 1983 by Muhammad Yunus
and it provides small loans, rather than charity, to the poorest of the poor especially
women in Bangladesh. This indeed provides an opportunity for the people to
transform their lives. In 2006, Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Muhammad Yunus
and the Grameen Bank for their efforts to create economic and social
Agency In Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha
Abdelmonem Khedr Siddhartha ELA Honors
As one seeks the accomplishment of a goal they will consider agency. An
individual will choose agency over complacency because it is the most logical and
efficient way to reach what he or she desires. When one picks complacency they will
face problems and are not guaranteed to reach what they want. According to
Ms.Plump When a person shows agency they are trying to make choices that will
improve or better their situation . Agency was vividly shown as Siddhartha was on
his path to reaching enlightenment in the novel Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse.
Siddhartha displays agency throughout the novel by making decisions that ease his
trajectory. He followed an effective sequence that leads him to accomplishing nirvana,
his goal. Siddhartha used the concept of agency when he left his ... Show more

Siddhartha can be viewed as an individual of agency. In the narrative it states Wisdom
cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like
foolishness to someone else ... Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom.
One can find it, live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach
it . When Siddhartha emphasized that Wisdom cannot be imparted he was departing
the Buddha to go and find a better solution to his problem. Executing this decision
was right and helped Siddhartha move on the next experience to reach enlightenment.
In addition, Siddhartha didn t have to sacrifice another 3 years of nothing to reach
enlightenment. Each step Siddhartha took to reach his goal helped him. He was able
to narrow down the spectrum of solutions to one. He tried to accomplish nirvana by
experiencing many methods, and even though the ways of the samanas, Buddha, and

Adaptive Challenges
Introduction
The adaptive challenge is to change the cultural relationship between Navy SEALs
and the support staff that work within the Naval Special Warfare organization. The
personal beliefs and attitude of individuals within the community are that the SEALs
are held to a separate standard and get special treatment when it comes to deviating
from those standards.
Current State
A climate survey was conducted based on Heiftez, Grashow, Linsky (2009) five
adaptability criteria and has been analyzed. The score are as such: elephants in the
room 8, shared responsibility 3, independent judgment 4, develop leadership capacity
3 and institutionalized reflection and continuous learning 5. The overall score is low
indicating that this organization is not that adaptable to changing this challenge.
Intervention
Creating lasting change requires personnel at all levels of the chain of command to
challenge their beliefs, or interpretations, of why this change is beneficial and
necessary to the Special Warfare community. These beliefs shield them from the
reality that a change is necessary and that they will need to be part of that change.
Heifetz et al. (2009).
There are two recommendations provided to assist the Special Warfare community
with overcoming the cultural differences between SEALs and support staff. It is
extremely important to model the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the past when a SEAL would go to captains mast for a UCMJ violation the
punishment awarded would be completely different from support staffs that are
charged with the same offence. The message sent by authority is that a SEALs will
not be held accountable for their actions and the support personnel will. The chain of
command is sending out clues that indicate SEALs will be treated differently when
punishment is awarded. The way ahead is to award similar punishment to anyone that
violates a UCMJ article. Heifetz et al.

If one of your drains is clogged, and you don t have any chemical drain cleaner on
hand and are not able to go to the store to get anymore, here are a few easy ways
you can unclog your drain using items you probably have around your home.

You may need to repeat the salt and boiling water step again if the drain doesn t clear

Leg Hair Remover
If you think that a clump of hair is clogging up your drain, you can use some leg
hair remover to clear your drain. Take a container of leg hair remover and pour it
down your drain. Let it sit in your drain for at least an hour; this will give it some
time to break up the hair that is clogging your drain.
After an hour or so has passed, pour a pot of hot water down your drain, then wait
again. This will push the hair remover further down your drain and will allow it to
continue to break down the hair.
After another hour or so has passed, run the hot tap and see if the drain has become
unclogged.
Baking Soda Apple Cider Vinegar
If your drain is not completely clogged but is draining slower than it should, pour
equal amounts of baking soda and apple cider vinegar down your drain. These two
ingredients will interact with one another and create a bunch of foam, so you may
want to cover the drain with a cup to keep the foam concentrated and working inside

Political Issues Of Pepsi
Brief Summary
After being cleared by the Indian government in 1988, PepsiCo. was allowed entry
to the Indian market as a Joint Venture with Indian based companies Punjab Agro
Industrial Corporation (PAIC, established by the government) and Voltas India Ltd.
(an appointed company by the Indian government who was to oversight Pepsi s

India (25,000 to be in the Punjab state), Pepsi s foreign brand names would not be
used, and an agricultural research center would be constructed (Mukund, 2003)
Over the years, Pepsi failed to meet the majority of the promises, the national
government faced a financial crisis being unable to fund itself, India s northern
territories were at war with militant uprisings, and India s ever expanding
population is wavering on the fence of public opinion of both Pepsi s place in India
and the confidence of the new political party of Janata Dal.
List of Key Issues

Terrorism; Indian citizens taking up arms during the Punjab Insurgency.
India s previous governmental system and their need for increased foreign exchange.

  • 2. Uses And Methods Of A Magnetic State Reaction Gadolinium (Gd) doped antiperovskite compounds Mn3Cu1 xGdxN were synthesized by the conventional solid state reaction. With increasing Gd concentration, two magnetic transitions appeared, at a high Curie temperature (TC1) corresponding to paramagnetic (PM) ferromagnetic (FM) transition and a low temperature (TC2) ascribed to the FM antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition. The magnetic relaxation results show the formation of a magnetic metastable state after the FM AFM transition at low temperature(lower than TC2), forming a novel magnetic step feature in the process from AFM to FM under a certain magnetic field. Keywords: antiperovskite; rare earth element; doping; magnetization step I. INTRODUCTION In recent years, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, besides conventional transition metal (TM) atoms, utilizing the rare earth atoms with 4f electrons to replace Cu has not yet been achieved and may introduce new magnetic couplings such as the f d and f f f couplings. These new exchange interactions may induce novel physical features in the antiperovskite structures. Thus, a systematical investigation on the physical properties of rare earth elements doped Mn3AN is required and may also benefit us in further understanding their intrinsic physical properties and designing a new type of the device based on the antiperovskite compounds. In this study, Gd with a high TC of 289 K was selected to replace Cu, and a series of Mn3Cu1 xGdxN (x = 0.15, 0.17, 0.19, and 0.25) were synthesized. Both the structural and magnetic properties measurement showed that with increasing Gd content, a typical FM PM transition appeared and gradually shifted towards high temperature. Simultaneously, a FM AFM transition accompanied by a crystal transition from cubic to tetragonal was observed and moves to low temperature with increasing Gd content. With x in the range from 0.17 to 0.19, a typical magnetization step characteristic was observed at 50 K owing to the magnetic phase separation. II. EXPERIMENTAl Mn powder (99.99%), Cu powder (99.99%), and Gd (99.999%) were purchased from Alfa Aesar Chemical Co., Ltd. All the reagents were used without any
  • 3. Racial Intolerance In The United States When did the illusion of progress mask our true regressive state? From 1955 1968, the United States experienced a civil rights movement that changed the nation. The civil rights movement was a movement to secure equal rights for all races. Many claim that if activists such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. were alive today, they would feel overjoyed. Personally, I find this to be untrue. While the activists of the civil rights movement were focused on the discrepancies between racial equality, I believe their ultimate goal was equality and tolerance on a much broader scale. I believe that activists, if alive today, would find that they had only diminished the country of racial intolerance, not intolerance in general. Our progressive tolerance for other races is concealing our growing intolerance for other religions. Religious Intolerance is a growing problem in the United States. It is a problem that has harmed many emotionally and physically. It is also a problem that has led me to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I learned about my faith as well as other faiths. Thomas Hobbes Social Contract Theory may very well be responsible for the relationship between rulers have forged with its people, as he believed man should submit to authority for without a leader to govern the people, man would live in disarray. Immanuel Kant suggests an act of Good Will should be considered a moral obligation not a desired gesture. He understood in an unconditional moral obligation that is binding in all circumstances and is not dependent on a person s inclination or purpose (Philosophy .com). Although each of these philosophers make compelling arguments, one has to wonder, who inspired them? Since the dawn of time, men behaved like beasts with no concept of morality, no political conviction or even the perception of happiness. One philosopher above all others may have singlehandedly designed societies way of thinking, and may have also inspired the aforementioned philosophers Aristotle. Aristotle was a Greek Philosopher born in 384 BC. He was once an apprentice to the legendary Plato himself. However, Aristotle s wisdom accorded him a reputation that would one day rival that of his mentor. He lived in a time when men regarded life with little value, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many believe it is simply seeking a pleasurable end, Aristotle also believed it to be so. In Nicomachean Ethic, he asserts, Happiness, then is found to be something perfect and self sufficient, being the end to which our actions are directed. Happiness is one of man s greatest pursuits; it is, after all, within our nature to seek pleasure; but at what cost? Seeking pleasure at the expense of others is immoral to say the least. However, one may also argue that it is also immoral to deprive a man of certain pleasures for it may affect someone else. Aristotle believed in virtue and justice. A just man would not seek pleasure for his own personal gain and would put the need of others before his

The Columbine High School massacre in 1999 and the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting in 2012 are two examples that have involved an attack on a school, but the Ohio State University attack just happened recently. The Ohio State stabbing is one of the many attacks that have caused innocent people to be injured. • 8. Theology Reflection In every field of study there is tension in definitions, but in theology, the word theology itself is full of tension. On one hand, it is almost indescribable because it studies God who is without perfect description, but on the other hand St. Anselm s statement, faith seeking understanding seems to describe with perfect flexibility what it means to practice theology. My intent is to attend Graduate school at Marquette University so that I can dive deeper into the history, study, and communication of what it means for faith to seek understanding. My faith began to seek understanding from an early age as I entered Catholic schools and learned about what it meant to be Catholic. There, I was formed and there I was raised: I grew to know and love the Church and God through my experiences in Catholic schools. My teachers imparted to us the prayers and called us to do more than just pray the words: to live out the words within our lives. It was here I that I became compelled to question the systems of justice in the world and in the church. My sister, born with a cognitive disability, was told she could not receive the Eucharist when it came time for her first communion. This prompted my family to dedicate time and work to make and create spaces in the Church for people with disabilities. In the space of Catholic schools, my faith needed understanding; it needed theology, which would illuminate how to construct change to help open the doors to marginalized people in the public square to be welcomed into the Church. During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of Dayton, I continued to develop skills and knowledge assisting me in the process of faith seeking understanding. I chose to pursue two degrees: a B.A. in religious studies and a B.S.E. in Secondary Catholic Education. The former became my love, nothing excited me like going to a religion class. Here, I learned about the methods behind theology and deepened my understanding of my religion and my faith. My education degree formed me into someone more than just a teacher. My education degree served me in more ways than just teaching in high schools because it taught me the invaluable skills of communication, planning, research, and
  • 9. The Triple Bottom Line Is A Global Authority On Corporate... If we were to ask 5 different people the definition of sustainability, we would receive 5 different answers. However, the triple bottom line is a typical concept used often when talking about the subject of sustainability within a business. John Elkinston, a global authority on corporate social responsibility and sustainabilitycoined the phrase for the first time in his book Cannibals with Forks: The Triple Bottom Lineof 21st Century Business , in 1997. His argument was that the methods by which companies measure value should not only include financial bottom line, profit or loss but also a social, economic and environmental one as well (John Elkington, 1997). The concept has evolved into one that often has 3 overlapping circles which indicates that sustainability is typically defined as the place where economic success, social responsibility and environmental protection are all as significant as each other in business. In other words, the concept of the triple bottom line mainstreams the idea of sustainability as including people, planet and profit. It allows a business understand that a long term sustainability in an organisation requires more than just financial equity. It also helps to clarify that when businesses consider what sustainability means for them, it doesn t mean that they had to give up the notion of financial success (Katz, RAK., Page, AP, 2013, Pages 852 855). The public is not satisfied with organisations who mainly concentrate on short term profit

At first sight, you could see that he doesn t care about his clothes; however, when you will know him, you could notice that he dresses all kinds different cheap informal clothes such as jeans and T shirts. His clothes fit well with the way he looks, Arron is tall and thin, he always has a long hair, and he is black haired. In other words Arron appearance is simply unique. Noreen, just like Jodee, was constantly harassed for being different, leading her to have no friends at the high school. Jodee gave Noreen someone to share her pain with, and gave her someone she could trust in. Another person Jodee helped was Marianne. Jodee helped her by working with the deaf children at Holy Ascension, treating Marianne like the little sister she never had. She was an outcast from regular children and the deaf children as well. This is an important question because the results could help patients in nursing homes to be both happier and healthier. Langer and Rodin s hypothesis was that if patients in a nursing home were given more control over their lives and activities, they would show improvements in mental alertness, activity level, satisfaction with life, and other measures of behavior and attitude. 3.The participants of this study was 91 individuals who were living at Arden House, a Connecticut nursing home. these individuals were separated into two groups, the first group ( containing 8 men and ... More participants from the responsibility group attended the movie, and 10 of them participated in the jelly bean game as compared to the 1 participant from the comparison group. 5.Langer and Rodin concluded that the findings from their study supported their hypothesis, and that individuals are indeed happier and healthier when given some degree of control over their lives. In fact 18 months after the study the participants in the increased responsibility group were in a super condition than those who were in the control group. They also found that while 30% of the participants in the comparison group had since passed away, only 15% of the experimental group had died. 6.Probably the biggest concern there is in regards to this study is the one pointed out by Langer and Rodin, which is that it may have been unethical to present the participants with a greater level of control over their lives just to have it taken away. This study impacted the history of psychologyby proving that a sense of control is important for peoples physical and mental health. 7.This study changed psychology because it changed how psychologists viewed the importance of control in regards to a person s mental health. • 15. Alan Kingston s No Name Woman No Name Woman begins with You must not tell anyone, a powerful statement leading into the story of an aunt the narrator s family has erased the existence of. This short story provides the readers with a better understanding of traditional Chinese culture and the role of women in their society. Throughout the story, the narrator provides the reader with information about Chinese culture and the role women play in it. This first sentence reveals the secretive nature of Chinese society. The narrator s mother starts and ends a short retelling of her aunt s story with reminders to keep it a secret. While the narrator never explicitly states this, it is also clear that China has a strong patriarchy. When talking about marriage, the narrator says that a synonym for marriage in Chinese is taking a daughter in law (Kingston, 5). Furthermore, she goes on to speculate whether the fate of her aunt and baby would have been different if the baby was a boy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You ve killed us. Ghost! However, in No Name Woman, the narrator uses the term with a different meaning in mind. The word has been used as a label for outcasts. While I do not know whether this new version of ghost is specific to China or not, it is clear that the narrator views it in a negative light. Her use of the word could almost be described as

  • 18. Descriptive Essay On Fast Food In our quickly growing society, full of capitalism, advertisements seem to have become the backdrop to our bustling lives. Though we seem to overlook their presence, throughout all American cities, Ads are what fill all the empty spaces, from store front windows, to big billboards in the skies. These brightly colored pictures, that flood our vision as we drive to work, or even stroll down the mall, have a more influential effect on our daily lives then we realize. A perfect example of this is with the foodindustry. Fast Food is becoming a routine stop for many Americans, as they go about their day. This is causing health to also be on the minds of consumers. You d think this would defer people from continuing their daily, fast food pit stop, but in reality, it s the industries that are changing their own advertisements to promote their healthy options instead. When you take a moment to look at the ads promoting your favorite food brands, you ll start to notice the emphasis on things such as calorie count, ingredients, and freshness of the food. You can clearly see these attributes when analyzing the three different posters, for three different food products, that I have selected. The first poster, is an image of a Heinz ketchup bottle, created using fresh slices of tomatoes. The second poster is promoting a Veggie Burger from McDonald s by forming the image of a cow using various vegetables. While the last poster is for the popular smoothie brand, Naked, in which you see a healthy looking woman running, with the words Our machines don t run on added sugar or preservatives and neither will you . While analyzing the first poster, for Heinz ketchup, your eyes quickly realizes the well known glass Heinz bottle to be made up entirely of thick slices of tomatoes. The rest of the poster is merely a red background with a small Heinz slogan at the bottom, which reads, No one grows ketchup like Heinz . The poster is simple, with only two focal points, the bottle, and the slogan. This forces the consumers to only focus on what the producer wants them to gather, which is, in this case, the idea of natural and fresh ingredients. The simplicity of the ad also seems to represent that the popular ketchup brand

  • 22. The King In Oedipus The King In the popular Greek tragedy Oedipus the King, the plot shows how a single bad trait can lead to the fall of a once great man. The author Sophocles portrays the story of the titular where a hero rises to fame after solving the city of Thebes great riddle. The solution to the riddle frees Thebes of its curse from the Sphinx and relieves the city s misery. Although Oedipusis praised and crowned king for freeing the city, he is not entirely a good man. Oedipus is very arrogant, which causes him to make several bad decisions. Through the story of Oedipus the King, Sophocles warns readers not to let arrogance blind them from reality, for it will eventually result in tremendous suffering. At the beginning of this Greek drama, Oedipus is blind due to his arrogance. For example, when the city is in shambles and the Chorus marches around the altar praying to the gods, Oedipus walks in and says to them, You pray to the gods? Let me grant your prayers (245). He believes he can answer the people of Thebes prayers. Additionally, Oedipus is convinced he has god like powers because of his role as king and his previous success in solving the Sphinx s riddle. His past leads him to believe he is always right, which is exactly what happens when he encounters the prophet. Oedipus says, Blind, / lost in the night, endless night that nursed you! / You can t hurt me or anyone else who sees the light / you can never touch me (425 28). Oedipus attacks the prophet with insults for saying that he was the one that killed Laius. Again, Oedipus reveals his exaggerated sense of his own abilities and believes that it is impossible for him to be wrong. Oedipus considers himself to be one of the fortunate who are able to see the light (427) and cannot be steered in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, in King Oedipus case, his high ego leads to his great demise. As this drama progresses, Oedipus begins connecting the dots and restoring his vision. When Jocasta explains how her husband died to Oedipus, he says, I have a terrible fear the blind seer can see (823). Oedipus is now suspecting that the prophecy is true because of the similarities between Laius death and the man he had killed. He begins to stop worrying about his ego and

  • 34. Organizational Structure Of An Organization 1.Introduction An organization is defined as a group of people who work together in an organized way for shared purpose. When people come together, they can either compliment one another or potentially create conflicts and disagreements in the course of pursuing common objectives with their differentiated experiences, perceptions and knowledge. Managing an organization involves putting a structure to the business so that managers can manage, supervise and coordinate its people and organization s performance. A structure serves as a framework for the purpose of outlining clear operating guidelines in order to keep the organization functional. It defines the hierarchical lines of authority, establishing job roles and responsibilities, details communication channels to determine how information should flow within the organization. A well fitted organizational structurewill have positive impacts on both its employees and its performance. 2.Organizational Structures Organizational structures exist in two basic forms, the organic and the mechanistic, each contrastive of another (Burns Stalker, 1961). Measured by four main elements of an organization s characteristics; standardization, formalization, role specifications, and centralization of its operating unit, the time taken and frequency of future activities and change implementations are also taken into consideration. Seen in Appendix 1, the diagram depicts the four elements an organization can structure itself. In

Along with his contempt of the continuing growth in the belief of astrology and how, throughout humankind, intellects, academics and ordinary folk continue to show interest in it.1 It will be argued that Franz Cumont is outdated with his thoughts on the decline of astrology. The Book Thief Empowerment In Book The Book Thief: Empowerment in Books Liesel Meminger expresses her feelings, independence, and power through books, whether it is through stealing, reading, or writing them. Books play a crucial role in the development of Liesel s character and influences the various decisions she makes. The ability to read and write helps Liesel discover who she is, and it helps her understand the people as well as the world around her better. She realizes the corruption of her country and the unnecessary cruelty towards the Jewish people, as well as how full of hatred the world contains. Literature shapes Meminger into an extraordinary young woman, and it conclusively results in her survival in World War II. In the beginning of the novel, Liesel is illiterate and overall powerless to the people around her. After enduring the abrupt death of her little brother, Liesel steals her first book, The Grave Digger s Handbook. In that moment in time, one would believe that the book was worthless to her since she was unable to comprehend it. On the contrary, the book gives her a reminder of her brother and that solemn snowy day. This first book acts as her first step towards the understanding of the world around her, and how heartless it really is. Even without being able to grasp the supposed purpose of the book, the book serves a different principle for Liesel, which ignites the long journey ahead of her. Once Liesel is comfortable in her new home with Rosa and Hans Hubermann, she finally begins discovering the world of literature with the help of Hans. She practices through writing on the basement wall and reading with Hans at the Amper River. Booksare now becoming a prominent part of her life thanks to Hans. At Christmastime, Hans sells his cigarettes in order to purchase Faust the Dog and The Lighthouse for Liesel. These books serve the purpose of showing the importance of family for Liesel. Even though Rosa is extremely stiff to her daughter, she truly loves her. Hans absolutely adores Liesel, and practically brings her passion for literature to life. After analyzing her book collection multiple times, Liesel soon grows tired of her selection. Her need to obtain another book, even if it was through stealing, was growing

  • 41. Importance Of Social Entrepreneurship Essay IS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP THE BEST WAY TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED? Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business while social entrepreneurs launch the business and implement solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues simultaneously. Bill Drayton once said, There is nothing more powerful than a new idea in the hands of a social entrepreneur. In the world, there are billions of people have no access to education, healthcare, clean drinking water, food and even the basic human rights and respect. Violence, poverty and more global issues are at the alarm rate nowadays. These matters have to be tackled immediately before it is too late to do so. In our opinion, social entrepreneurship is the best way to help the needy and overcome the problem. New ideas, opportunities and technologies are sought in solving long standing social problems. There is a good example to indicate our words, social entrepreneur in South America, Steve Katsaros. Can you imagine what was life like when oil lamps and candles were all we had to light our cities with? Indoors was just as treacherous as outdoors. Katsaros invented a solar powered light bulb that provide isolated villages with power, thus bypassing the need to bring a power infrastructure out to remote areas. It has brought a great change in their daily lives which allow people to work, study and play at night without the use of kerosene lamps, which may pollute the environment and arise the respiratory diseases such as asthma. Consequently, Katsaros was able to bring convenience to the people while he can also stay in his business by selling the bulbs to the people. (The Guardian, 2009) To cite the saying that social entrepreneurship is the best way to help people in need, we would like to provide an outstanding example of social enterprise which is Grameen Bank. Grameen Bank was officially founded in 1983 by Muhammad Yunus and it provides small loans, rather than charity, to the poorest of the poor especially women in Bangladesh. This indeed provides an opportunity for the people to transform their lives. In 2006, Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank for their efforts to create economic and social

The personal beliefs and attitude of individuals within the community are that the SEALs are held to a separate standard and get special treatment when it comes to deviating from those standards. Current State A climate survey was conducted based on Heiftez, Grashow, Linsky (2009) five adaptability criteria and has been analyzed. Intervention Creating lasting change requires personnel at all levels of the chain of command to challenge their beliefs, or interpretations, of why this change is beneficial and necessary to the Special Warfare community. These beliefs shield them from the reality that a change is necessary and that they will need to be part of that change. Heifetz et al. (2009).
