In India, majority of cement produced is of blended variety, with fly ash and blast furnace slag as the mineral admixtures used for blending. Blended cements production reduces clinker production thereby leading to conservation of natural resources and energy and also substantial reduction in the CO2 generation, which is a green house gas. The production of blended cements also leads to utilization of two major industrial wastes, coming from thermal power stations and the integrated steel plants. The application of blended cement in concrete imparts better strength and durability properties to the structure. Keeping these aspects in mind, the presentation illustrates the characteristics of two varieties of blended cements, new to Indian cement industry, namely Portland Limestone Cement (PLC) and Portland High Volume fly Ash Cement (PHFC).
An artificial island is an application of various engineering concepts that has brought a drastic change in construction technology. The artificial island is built in the sea, and the rig, oil and gas production equipment, public facilities, storage tank, and unloading terminal can be set on the island. Artificial island construction technology, which is based on civil engineering technology, is also closely related to marine engineering technology.
An artificial island is an island constructed by man rather than created by natural means. They are constructed by expanding the existing islets and by construction on existing reefs or merging some natural islets into a bigger island. They are usually constructed by land reclamation, but some are formed by the incidental isolation of an existing piece of land during canal construction. Land reclamation is a process where new land is created from oceans, river beds and lake beds. The land which is reclaimed is called reclamation ground. These types of structures help in the development of a nation and also become a source of income as a place of tourism. In countries like Japan the land space is usually less and artificial islands are thus helpful to such countries for avoiding crowd settlement of houses. The artificial islands are part of urbanization but they also create disorder to the balanced marine ecosystem.

In the United States, 53 percent of all the roads are unpaved. That translates into 1.6 million miles of unpaved roadways most of which are gravel roads. Currently they are being exposed to increased amounts of agricultural and industrial traffic. Also the problem of fugitive dust causes the loss of fine, binding material which increases the amount of floating aggregate and the tendency to develop washboards or corrugations. With use, fine and course portions of the aggregate segregate which also diminishes road performance. As the aggregate sources have been depleted and reduced in quality, unpaved roads increasingly have performance and economic challenges. The use of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) on gravel roads helps to improve the overall performance and life. Past studies also show substantial dust reduction when RAP is included in the road surface. However no clear relationship or methodology has been established to understand the connection between the RAP percentage and performance.
Off side fabrication and modular construction is not new but, the way it is been done nowadays has a quantitative and qualitative impact. Reducing time and cost has been more achievable because of it.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two type of water scarcity. One is physical. The other is economic water scarcity.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

The first 7 stars hotel in the world
The start of Dubai’s new vision of attracting new investments in
areas outside the oil industry.
If you want to book a night there it will cost you around $2000
(according to Expedia tonight is $2039)

Temporary tube piles driven into sea bed
Temporary sheet piles and tie rods
driven into sea bed to support
boundary rocks

5. Building the island
Permanent boundary rock bunds (rock armor) deposited on both sides of the sheet
piles
Hydraulic fill layers deposited between
bunds to displace sea water and form
the island
No solid ground under the building just weak sand
(up to 180 meters deep with no solid ground). So it
was decided to go with friction piles.

9. Diagonal truss rigging
Huge tubular triangular truss geometry
The Diagonal vary from 76m to 90m in length and weigh 160 to 180 ton.
The Diagonal connects with a 300mm diameter pin connection to the core-wall
and the Rear-leg structure.
There are six diagonals erected at different levels on both side of the building
transported as a single fabricated piece from the fabrication shop 15 km away
by special self propelled long trailers.

10. Diagonal truss rigging
Dealing with the expansion about (2 inches)caused by the desert heat
Strand jacks supported by Cat heads were connected to the building to
execute the lifting of the Diagonals and Horizontals.

11. Summary
Many forces can destroy your temporary structures. You have to count them all.
The safety of the crew is essential for cofferdams construction.
Rigging elements can’t always be easy and can be more complicated than what we learned
Putting things in the air is a different story.
Have to come up with practical innovative on site solutions for uncertain problems
