Bunking stars v/s Book Worms
Bunking is an immense part of college lives. It is a cool trend and a means to show off.
Bunking can be defined as “being absent from the lectures without any specific reason or
purpose”. Maximum students follow this bunking culture and advice others also to follow it. The
students who have the zeal and dare to bunk more lectures are termed “Bunking Stars”. But…
there is another story too because there are some students who have pledged not to bunk. They
are always present in the college and are favorites of teachers. We often call such students “Book
worms and crazy”.
In the inception of the session the “Bunking stars” make fun, throw jokes on these so called
Book worms, but at the time of exams, they ask for notes and unnecessarily disturb these Book
worms.
It is not such that the book worms always top and gain good marks and it is also not such
that Bunking stars are zero in the studies. In fact they are very smart, talented and outstanding.
The only problem with them is, they feel bore in lectures and consider themselves smarter than
teachers. If by chance Bunking stars attends the class. They make fun and are busy in their
android phones. The result is punishment and the sentence “Get out from the class”.
I have asked a Bunking Star the objective behind Bunking. The reply was… delicious food in
canteen, gupshups in parking, enjoying movies, idhar udhar ki baatein vagerah vagerah. The
opinion of Bunking stars is, Bunking is adventurous & exciting memory of college. Bunking and
college are synonyms. Without bunks college would be like school. The wonderful days of college
will be the golden memories of our lives. Now I have asked a book worm that why he prefer to
come college everyday without a single bunk. He replied that he has once read in the newspaper,
the interview of Narayan Murthi in which he said “I have not bunked a single lecture in my college,
I attended every class and always respected my teachers and this is the mantra of my success.”
Success mantras may be different for everyone. Some wants to live the life with serious
attitude while others with enjoyment. Life is ours; it is upon us that what we choose for us. What
we choose for our careers.
