Many of us spend more time at work than we do at home. It's about time we started to appreciate the opportunities before us to nurture friends not contacts. To realize that your work place can be a joyful place in which to nurture our creativity. A good working life can only be had I believe when your employer is invested in your happiness and success. It takes courage to admit weakness in a working environment but without it we lose a real opportunity to foster more opportunities for everyone. We are all born to be happy and the sooner we stop obstructing ourselves and believe in the power of our will to make things better for each other. The quicker we'll reach that glorious destination I like to call ' Us' : )

CEO Glenn Elliott's User Manual : A solution for poor employee trust?Reward Gateway
Inspired by a talk by Adam Bryant at the NY Times New Work Summit in 2016, our CEO, Glenn, produced his own "user manual" explaining what he values and believes in. He's exploring whether openness and communications between leadership and a company an help to bridge the employee trust gap. According to the 2016 Edelman Trust Barometer, half of employees think it is important that their CEO exhibits highly ethical behavior but only 25% believe that they see it.
It's another experiment in Glenn's ongoing project of being an accountable, honest, transparent and open leader. He'd love your thoughts and feedback and there are links in the slides.
Job Search Survival Kit -- Nasty People Can Be Tamed --Anthony Hines
The following is a presenation that discusses possible ways to handle people at work who are just plain nasty to be around. Hopefully these tips will help you out if you are dealing with this in the workplace.
Who Am I….I am a hardworking guy who, like many others, found himself out of work during the economic downturn in 2010. After a long battle of wrong turns, job search strategies that led to no where, and dead end leads, I decided to take a more strategic approach to my job search. Like anything else in life, I needed to treat my search like a full-time job and create a plan that would allow me to stand out above the competition. This came in especially handy as I was in transition again in 2017. Basically, I just used the tips that I have shared with others and was out of work a total of ZERO days. Yes, I got a job offer the day after my last day at my previous job. Let me show you how I did it so you too can have a quicker landing than you would have had without my tips.
Why Am I Sharing What Helped Me…because I quickly realized that to handle an event like that is to focus on what you can control and share the experience to help others. I believe that an experience not shared is a lost opportunity in life, and that smart people learn from their mistakes and smarter people learn from other people’s experiences. Plus, I told myself that once I figured this out I would share it with others so that they too could navigate the world of unemployment. In these chapters, I show you how I did it so that you will have the confidence to make it through the process. I hope that this presentation helps you to get your next great job.

The second I turned sixteen, my parents forced me to get a job. I didn’t want a job at the time because I was so busy with school and choir. But I also needed a way to pay for choir, tour, and any activities I ever wanted to do. My parents were done giving me money. As much as I didn’t like the idea, I was forced to accept it. I was able to find a job at TJ Maxx, but I didn’t really like it. The job I really wanted was at Deseret Book. I love to read books, plus they had the perfect hours to fit my schedule and they were closed on Sunday’s.
Of course, I was not the only person that wanted to work there. They get ten to twenty applications a week, and there was some tough competition, and I was still in high school with almost no work history. Luckily, I had a friend that vouched for me and told the manager that I would be a great addition to the staff. It still took me two months to get the job, and I worked very hard for it. I had to call every couple days and bug the manager about my application, and he finally gave me an interview and offered me the job. I was so happy.
I loved working at Deseret Book. I still miss it all the time. I started out working in the Lionhouse Pantry, which was in the back of the store. I would make the salads and bake the rolls. I quickly grew bored of that. What I really wanted was to sell the books. Each shift I would hurry and get my list of things done in the pantry so that I could go out on the floor and sell. They have a program called the Platinum Program, which is just a rewards program. The difference in Deseret Book’s rewards program was that customers had to pay $25 to sign up, so it was really hard to get anyone to do that. Only for me, it was really easy. I was a natural salesperson. I remember one time, a man came in to buy one book for his wife and I sold him the entire set, which was 10 books total, plus a Platinum account. I consistently sold quadruple the number of Platinum accounts than anyone else in my store, including the store manager. I was good. And I knew it.
When I was nineteen-years-old, I finally got promoted to supervisor. I was really excited to finally be rewarded for my success and hard work. I knew I deserved that promotion. But I knew it a little too much. Before my promotion, I had become close friends with my coworkers. When I got promoted, I was arrogant, and I quickly lost their respect and friendship. The girls I had once laughed with and talked to now laughed and talked without me, but would quiet down when I walked up. They may have been a little jealous, but I over-exaggerated their jealousy and made myself believe that they wished they were me. I knew I was the best, and I knew that they knew it.
The power quickly went to my head. I thought I was irreplaceable, an asset that the company would never want to lose no matter the cost. Soon, I was ordering my former friends around, acting like they never did anything good en.

I believe
I believe that people have different views. Everyone is different. My experiences in life might be similar but they are not the same as any other person. Lately, my sister and I rarely get alone because her point of view is very different than mine. I really let it go sometimes, however, she starts opening up the same issue over and over and I just cannot help myself but being honest to her about how I think. I believe we should respect other people’s views and value their perspective.
For me, the most valuable people in my life are my family members and my best friends. However, one of my best friends is my sister, Suzan. Suzan is only older than me by a year. We don’t get along most of the time but we are there for each other at all times. She tells me her stories. I tell her my stories. The only thing that I really cannot share with her is my point of view. Although she is unarguable, I do understand why she would act that way in most of the time. My sister was not always like that. Life experiences had changed her just like they change me as well. On the other hand, I believe she needs time to realize that not everyone can follow her vision for life. I believe hard work pays off. I believe that I should only look into what I have and have ambitious to do more. Unlike my sister, she believes some people should not have what they have and it is not fair for others. Well, I can not agree with that.
We all have different experiences in life that teaches us different values. Here we are, two people from the same family, raised in the same way but have different characters and perspectives. I am more goals oriented towards myself.

These are the slides from a workshop I am running, it definitely doesn't quite translate to self paced online, but you get an idea of some of the stuff. Please provide comments if you have any feedback!
So let’s imagine you are 5 years old again and you are asked that famous question that every little kid loves to hear; “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Being that little you imagination hasn’t been destroyed yet, you still believed you could do anything or be anyone you could imagine. So your answers were, of course, the most insane ideas ever! An Astronaut, Princess, Transformer, Power Ranger, Superman or Batman. Anything was possible when you were that young! Now when I look back; and what makes me different, is my answer was always an “artist.” Yes, of course I could tell you anything in the world and you would tell me that that was a great idea! Though, that’s what made me different; my opinion on what I wanted to be never changed growing up. I’ve always wanted to be an artist and I plan to be an artist no matter what anyone tells me. It’s like what Vincent Van Gogh said, “Your profession is not what brings home your weekly paycheck, your profession is what you’re put here on earth to do, with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling.”
My Senior Presentation at Tufts University: reflection on my own exploration of boundaries, failures & lessons learned along the way. Ended with the most important question every person should ask. ;-)
This PPT is a synopsis of my Academics, Achievements & Career.
It showcases my qualifications, achievements and work knowledge. Though, what it cannot exhibit is the consistency, creativity and the passion which I put in my work.

Artificial intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities to radically reinvent the way we do business. This study explores how CEOs and top decision makers around the world are responding to the transformative potential of AI.
The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

1. Is too dedication too bad?
The professional world is interesting and here strange things happen. A recent
happening with my friend who is the believer of the quote “Work is Worship” is the
one which I should share here.
A task was assigned to her and her colleague & as it happens with all the tasks a sharp
deadline was given. They both started doing the task with due care and diligence but
because of some happening her colleague has to take leave. Understanding the
urgency of the project, she informed her manager that she will be completing her
colleague’s task too. (It was not such that she didn’t have any other work, so she had
opted for it.)
A general response to this initiative must be appreciation... but not all have such
mentality. Some people think that they only are the one who is very busy and others
are free…very free.
It’s surprising that her manager’s view to this was she didn’t have another task to do,
so she had decided to opt for her colleagues work too.
A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.
This incident really forced us to think “Is too dedication too bad?” Do the people who
have a drive for the work fool? None of my friends had an answer to this.
That time I also didn’t have any answer but when I thought about it... I realized that
dedication can never be bad. Sometimes it might happen that you feel cheated or
fooled because of your drive towards work but one or the other day it definitely bears
fruit.
They laugh at you because they have no idea of what you’re capable of.
Actually, the true value of the dedication could be understood by the people who
themselves are dedicated, others who don’t know what dedication is will always see
fakeness, show-off in the dedication of dedicated people.
Make sure you don’t start yourself seeing yourself through the eyes of those who
don’t value you. Know your worth even if they don’t.
