Bunge Agribusiness Singapore wanted to develop critical leadership skills in their team leaders through coaching, communication, and teamwork. CELSIM designed a two-day workshop combining self-assessments, interactive exercises, and one-on-one coaching sessions. The workshop helped participants improve leadership styles and clarity, build rapport, and move from conflict to cooperation. Over six months, team leaders gained confidence and skills to achieve excellence and align themselves and others to organizational goals. An assistant operations manager said the coaching sessions in particular were very useful for working with subordinates.

Team Building Practices and Training Programs Self-employed
Wagons Learning has good experience and masters in Team Building training program and is known for its best practices.
Generally teams are formed by gathering few people having domain knowledge and then expecting them to find a way to work together. This is the case with most of the teams in action today. But this is not the best practice, if you want the highly effective teams working for the organization. Teams become most effective when designed carefully.
Experiential Learning is proven to be 13 times more effective than traditional classroom-based activities. Experiential learning is learning from direct experience.
The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is a powerful, definitive book describing timeless laws to help you be a great leader. In each chapter, John Maxwell goes straight to the heart of a profound leadership law, showing you the successes and failures of others and how you can apply the law in your life. If you’re a willing student, you can learn the 21 Laws and put them into practice. Once you apply these leadership laws, you will be encouraged, and your ability to lead will expand. You may not be able to perfect all 21 Laws, but by learning them you will be able to build a team to help support you in leading well.
How you influence others determines how they respond. All leaders have a preferred style that has worked well for them, but it can limit their ability to influence the people they need to.
Trust is the most fundamental building block of any relationship whether in business, politics, marriage, family or friendships. In the real world, trust signifies different things to different people but it frequently boils down to one point: trust is essential to your success.
This presentation sets out to answer three questions:
1. Do they need to be managed differently from the rest of your staff?
2. Are IT people really different from the rest of an organization’s employees?
3. That unkempt antisocial geek in the corner is your best programmer. Do you let him do what he does best or counsel him to fit your ideal employee profile?

People follow powerful people
Leadership and power are closely linked even though leadership is NOT about power or position. People follow people who are powerful. And because others follow, the person with power leads.

BUNGE AGRIBUSINESS SINGAPORE Pte Ltd: Coaching for High
Performance Teams
BUNGE AGRIBUSINESS SINGAPORE Pte Ltd (BUNGE) operates as a subsidiary of Bunge
Limited – a leading global agribusiness and food company with integrated operations that circle
the globe, stretching from the farm field to the retail shelf. Singapore is its Asia headquarters,
managing its Asian agribusiness and food operations.
BUNGE provides employees with opportunities for learning and growth to help them gain the
professional skills and leadership qualities necessary to achieve their full potential. It values
individual excellence and work as a team for the benefit of Bunge and stakeholders.
The Challenge
CELSIM was asked to design and deliver a team leadership programme to equip team leaders
from Operations Asia with the tools and techniques to lead, coach and motivate themselves from
individual performance to improved team performance.
The objective of the programme was to develop critical leadership capabilities in:
1. Coaching: rise to full leadership potential and unlock the potential of others to attain
corporate and personal goals.
2. Communication: establish an open communication platform that engenders trust in
each other, create platform for ongoing discussion and continuous refinement.
3. Teamwork: break down any silos and provide a compelling motivation to share,
recognise the power of team diversity and synergies of individual contributions.
The Solution
In partnership with Agnes Tan, HR Director SEA & Australia, we designed a 2 day Team
Leadership workshop – combining GAPPS self assessment, highly interactive workshops and
confidential targeted one-to-one coaching sessions – to enhance performance. These included:
Examining leadership styles and choices through highly interactive activities to allow
participants to experience leadership coaching dynamics with organisational awareness.
Developing clarity, achievement orientation and flexibility of approach to motivate and
inspire self and others to improve personal impact and influence.
Learning the skills of building deep, influential rapport with others and moving from
conflict to agreement and cooperation.
The Results
BUNGE team leaders gained the confidence and skills to achieve personal excellence and align
self and others to organisation performance. This programme provided a gradual reflective
journey over a 6 month period that encouraged the development of self-awareness and the
affects of behaviour, engendered trust and an appreciation of the synergies within the team.
Lawrence Lo (Assistant Operations Manager, Asia) summed up his satisfaction with our team
leadership coaching programme, “It’s been fantastic, especially the coaching sessions which I
found to be very useful in helping me work with my subordinates and they too think its been very
beneficial for them and the group. The tools have been so immediately useful for me at work.”
