The present work represents a two-dimensional steady state numerical investigation of heat transfer and hydrodynamic characteristics of air flow across a 3 rows of circular tube banks in triangular arrangement with triangular wake splitters placed on each tube with downstream direction (wake region). The effects of Reynolds number (from 5000 to 15000), the length of splitter are 0.5D, 1.0D, and 1.5D times of tube diameter. The study focuses on the Influence of the different
parameters of splitters on heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of three rows tube banks. The characteristics of total heat transfer per area for each tube with and without splitter and total pressure drop are studied numerically by the aid of the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) commercial code of FLUENT 6.3.

Numerical study of heat transfer in pulsating turbulent air flowMohamed Fadl
A numerical investigation of heat transfer
characteristics of pulsating turbulent flow in a circular
tube is carried out. The flow is thermally and
hydrodynamically fully developed and the tube wall is
subjected to a uniform heat flux. The flow inlet to the
pipe consists of fixed component and pulsating
component that varies sinusoidally with time. The flow
and temperature fields are computed numerically using
computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Fluent code.
Prediction of heat transfer characteristics is performed
over a range of 10 4 ≤ Re ≤ 4x10 4 and 0 ≤ ƒ ≤ 70 are
observed. Results showed little reduction in the mean
time-averaged Nusselt number with respect to that of
steady flow. However, in the fully developed
established region, the local Nusselt number either
increases or decreases over the steady flow-values
depending on the frequency parameter. These noticed
deviations are rather small in magnitude for the
computed parameter ranges. The characteristics of heat
transfer are qualitatively consistent with the available
experimental and numerical predictions.

Heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics for two-dimensional laminar flow at low Reynolds number for five in-line ducts of
various nonconventional cross-sections in a parallel plate channel are studied in this paper. The governing equations were solved
using finite-volumemethod.CommercialCFDsoftware,ANSYS Fluent 14.5,was used to solve this problem.Atotal of three different
nonconventional, noncircular cross-section ducts and their characteristics are compared with those of circular cross-section ducts.
Shape-2 ducts offered minimum flow resistance and maximum heat transfer rate most of the time. Shape-3 ducts at Re < 100 and Shape-2 ducts at Re > 100 can be considered to give out the optimum results.

Effects of Variable Viscosity and Thermal Conductivity on MHD free Convection...theijes
A steady two-dimensional MHD free convection and mass transfer flow past an inclined vertical surface in the presence of heat generation and a porous medium have been studied numerically when the fluid viscosity and thermal conductivity are assumed to be vary as inverse linear function of temperature. The governing partial differential equations are reduced to a system of ordinary differential equations by introducing similarity transformations. The non-linear similarity equations are solved numerically by applying the Runge-Kutta method of fourth order with shooting technique. The numerical results are presented graphically to illustrate influence of different values of the parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles. Skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also completed and presented in tabular form.
The QRS changes during ischemia have historically been more difficult to parameterize
and have not come into clinical practice. This paper presented a new approach to analyze ischemia
by time parameter extraction of RS-Segment of the QRS complex. The proposed methodology
mainly focused on two prominent areas; first: detection of R and S points via Fast Fourier Transform
(FFT) based windowing & thresholding techniques with a sliding edge method. Second: calculating
the RS-Duration. The performances of the detection methods are validated and RS-Duration is
evaluated with the Fantasia database (Fantasia) for 20 healthy subjects & Long-Term ST Database
(LTSTDB) for 80 ischemic patients. The RS-Segment detection sensitivity (Se) and specificity (Sp)
are calculated 100% for Fantasia Database, whereas sensitivity (Se) is 91.6% and specificity (Sp) is
974% for LTSTDB.

Numerical simulation of marangoni driven boundary layer flow over a flat plat...eSAT Journals
Abstract
A numerical algorithm is presented for studying Marangoni convection flow over a flat plate with an imposed temperature
distribution. Plate temperature varies with x in the following prescribed manner: where A and k are constants.
By means of similarity transformation, the original nonlinear partial differential equations of flow are transformed to a pair of
nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Subsequently they are reduced to a first order system and integrated using Newton
Raphson and adaptive Runge-Kutta methods. The computer codes are developed for this numerical analysis in Matlab
environment. Velocity profiles for various values of k, and temperature profiles for various Prandtl number and k are illustrated
graphically. The results of the present simulation are then compared with the previous works available in literature with good
agreement.

EFFECTS OF STENOSIS ON POWER LAW FLUID FLOW OF BLOOD IN BLOOD VESSELSJournal For Research
In this paper we assume that the blood is to be a Non-Newtonian and incompressible and Homogeneous fluid. An investigation has been done for the resistance to flow across mild stenosis situated symmetrically on steady blood flow through arteries with uniform or non-uniform cross section. An analytical solution for Power law fluid has been obtained. For the physiological insight of the problem various parameters systemic and pulmonary artery are taken and the study reveals that as the height of the stenosis increases in uniform or non-uniform portion of the artery, the resistance parameter and shear stress also steadily increases, whereas, flow rate decreases steadily and we analyze some cases between flux, pressure gradient and radius and give some significant results.

Aim of this study is to investigate the effect of magnetic field on blood flow in cylindrical artery through porous medium. In this paper blood is considered elastico viscous, Non Newtonian fluid and flow is assumed as fully developed and laminar. Laplace transforms and Finite Hankel Transforms are used to obtain the analytical expression for velocity profile, flow rate and fluid acceleration. The effect of magnetic field on velocity and fluid acceleration has been discussed with the help of graphs. It is found that velocity distribution, flow rate and fluid acceleration of blood in cylindrical artery decrease as magnetic field increases.

The dynamic characteristics of cylindrical textured hydrodynamic journal bearing are presented in this paper. The Reynolds equation is solved numerically in a finite difference grid in an iterative scheme satisfying the appropriate boundary conditions. Stiffness and damping coefficients of fluid film and stability parameter are found using the first-order perturbation method for different eccentricity ratios and various texture parameters like texture depth and texture density.. From the present analysis, it has been found that stability is enhanced with increase in texture depth, whereas there is an optimum texture density corresponding to the maximum stability of the bearing

The numerical solution of helmholtz equation via multivariate padé approximationeSAT Journals
Abstract
In this study, we consider the numerical solution of the Helmholtz equation, arising from numerous physical phenomena and
engineering applications including energy systems. We make use of a Padé Approximation method for the solution of the
Helmholtz equation. Firstly, Helmholtz partial differential equation had been converted to power series by two-dimensional
differential transformation, then the numerical solution of the equation was put into Padé series form for accelerating
convergence and decreasing computational time. Hereby, we obtained numerical solution of Helmholtz type partial differential
equation.

ANALYTICAL BENDING ANALYSIS OF A CIRCULAR SANDWICH PLATE UNDER DISTRIBUTED LOADijmech
In this paper, bending analysis of a circular sandwich plate under distributed load with simply supported and clamped boundary conditions is investigated. First, the governing equations of the circular sandwich plate are obtained and they are solved using the Bessel functions. Then in order to validate the correctness of analytical results, numerical finite element method is used and its results are presented in the forms of
contours and graphs. The results indicate that under distributed load, maximum deflection happens at 0.3
of outside radius, away from centre, and minimum deflection occurs at the outer edge of the circular sandwich plate. The results from analytical and numerical methods are compared and it shows that analytical method provides an acceptable accuracy.
Free Convective Unsteady MHD Flow of Newtonian Fluid in a Channel with AdiabaticIJERA Editor
In this paper, we investigated an unsteady free convection MHD flow of an incompressible viscous electrically
conducting fluid under the action of transverse uniform magnetic field between two heated vertical plates by
keeping one plate is adiabatic. The governing equations of velocity and temperature fields with appropriate
boundary conditions are solved by using perturbation technique. The effects of various physical parameters on
the velocity and temperature fields are discussed in detail with the help of graphs.

It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Abstract
This is about the mathematical model for blood flow through stenosed inclined tubes with periodic body acceleration and magnetic
field and its application to cardiovascular diseases in biomedical engineering. It is observed that the velocity and volumetric flow rate
decreases with increase in Hartmann number and for a particular value of phase angle, the value of shear stress increases with
increase in Hartmann number .All these are studied in inclined tubes.

2. MATHEMATICAL FORMULATION
Let us consider the axially symmetric and fully developed
pulsatile flow of blood through a stenosed porous circular
artery with body acceleration under the influence of uniform
transverse magnetic field. Blood is assumed to be Newtonian
and incompressible fluid. Also for mathematical model, we
take the artery to be a long cylindrical tube with the axis along
z-axis. The pressure gradient and body acceleration are

The expression for velocity profile computed in equation
(10)has been depicted in figures2(a)to 5(c) by plotting r/R
versus u in presence/absence of Hartmann number(M),for
different values of phase angle (
)and time t. It is observed
that velocity decreases with increasing Hartmann number (M).
For fixed value of
,it is observed that increase in M
decreases the maximum value of flow rate Q and the
oscillatory nature of the curves with time if different for
different values of M[Figure(6)].
