Binary Opposites discusses several opposing concepts: - Males are generally more dominant while females are usually smaller and more delicate, but sometimes females can take the leading role. - Old people are more mature with experience while young people have less experience and need guidance. - There are stereotypes associated with different ethnicities, sexualities, social classes, physical abilities, and regional identities between north and south. However, one should not judge or look down on others based on these attributes.

2. GenderMale + Female.Males: Males are generally the more dominant and strong. Usually take the main role in relationships and families.Females: females are usually smaller and more delicate than men. However sometimes they can take the leading role in relationships. Whereas men concentrate on jobs such as chopping wood and mowing lawns, women tend to do jobs such as cleaning and cooking.

3. AgeOld + YoungOld people are more mature and sensibly, they have often experienced more situations than young people. They have a good understanding of manners, interaction and how to deal with difficult situations.Young people have less experience than older people and have less idea in how to deal with people and situations. They are more vulnerable than older people and need looking after and guidance from older people.

EthnicityEthnicity defines individuals who consider themselves, or are considered by others, to share common characteristics which differentiate them from the other collectivities in a society, within which they develop distinct cultural behaviour. People with different ethnicity enjoy different things, Indian people enjoy Bollywood films and American people enjoy films created in Hollywood.

5. SexualityThere are many stereotypes connected to sexuality. A persons sexuality is there own choice, it is not right for anyone to judge or look down on someone with a different sexuality to themselves. There are two main sexualitys: Homosexual or Hetrosexual, these are the main two, however there are others such as Bysexual. Do not judge a person by their sexuality.

6. Class & StatusSocial classes are economic or cultural arrangements of groups in society. There are three main classes in England, lower class middle class and upper class. The main difference between the classes is wealth and power.

7. Physical ability/disability - able bodied/disabled Physicaly disabled people are often treated differently due to there disabilities, they very unfortunate and deserve to be treated the same as physically able people. Able bodied people are often seen as normal whereas disabled people are seen and unusual.

8. Regional identity – north/southThere has always been competition between north and south throughout history. People from the north and south have different houses, families, morale's, accents and jobs.
