Swami #Vivekananda Bengali: , Shāmi Bibekānondo; 12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902), born #Narendranath Datta, was an Indian Hindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of# Vedanta and #Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising #interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century. He was a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India, and contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India. Vivekananda founded the #Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is perhaps best known for his speech which began, "Sisters and brothers of America ...," in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893.
Born into an aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta, Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality. He was influenced by his Guru, Ramakrishna Deva, from whom he learnt that all living beings were an embodiment of the divine self; therefore, service to God could be rendered by service to mankind. After Ramakrishna's death, Vivekananda toured the Indian subcontinent extensively and acquired first-hand knowledge of the conditions prevailing in British India. He later traveled to the United States, representing India at the 1893 Parliament of the World Religions. Vivekananda conducted hundreds of public and private lectures and classes, disseminating tenets of Hindu philosophy in the United States, England and Europe. In India, Vivekananda is regarded as a patriotic saint and his birthday is celebrated there as National Youth Day.
In part-5 of this series we discuss sex and sexuality, becoming a team and resolving conflicts. We discuss differences in men and women and share seven practical steps to resolving conflicts in marriage.

The book of Judges is filled with tragedy and humor, and though this commentary will deal with all of the tragedy, it will focus on the humor that is often neglected in the study of this book. The first thing about it that is funny is the name itself. Judges gives us an image of men and women with long black gowns holding a gavel and keeping order in the court as they make judgments on people who are
brought to trial. The judges in this book do not bang gavels on their desk, but, instead, they bang farm instruments and animal bones on the heads of the Canaanites, and by this strange means bring some order to the nation. Shamgar
banged his ox goad on the heads of 600 of the enemy and sentenced them to death, and Samson banged his jawbone of an ass on a thousand of them and pronounced the verdict guilty, and sentenced them to capital punishment They were what you call hanging judges for sure, but they were not really judges as we think of them. They were more like Robin Hood and war heroes. They were not behind a desk, but out in the field with hands on executions. They were judge, jury and executioner. If these Judges ever got together and formed their own company a good name would be, "Sears, Burns, Hurtz and Hollers." They were devastating when they passed sentence on any people or town, and there was no appeal, for there was usually no

The current study explores variance in perceptions of age-appropriateness and overall evaluations of a video game manipulated to contain sexually or violently explicit content as a function of national culture and moral foundations. Purity/Sanctity concerns were the strongest predictor of higher age-appropriateness ratings for sexually explicit (expected) and violent (unexpected) games. US players evaluated the violent game more favorably than Germans. Both evaluated the sexually explicit game similarly, although Germans preferred it to the violent game; US audiences preferred the violent game.

Sex and purity is not talked about enough in the home. Parents are too embarrassed as well as the teen to even broach the subject. How can we talk about such a “taboo” subject without causing undo embarrassment? This devotional will focus on the need to keep the dialogue open about sex and purity in the family.

Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer.
Warped Sense of Priorities
We very often need to reprioritize our lives to make time for love, sex and affection in our marriages.
This is my first-ever sermon focused on the real problems that pornography creates for any person using it. There is a plague of porn in the world today and we cannot continue to ignore it or just say it is wrong. We have to know how harmful it is and how to protect ourselves, our kids, our families from it so that we can have holy, heathly, godly relationships as sexual beings. Despite my personal angst in giving this message, God blessed it. I hope everyone of us hears this so we can help ourselves and others. Millions are addicted to porn. Hundreds of millions are affected by porn. God hates porn. We need to, also. Porn deeply damages relationships, especially in marriages and families.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
