God teaches us in the bible how we should love. However, we know that NOT all people believe in the bible or choose to obey his laws. If everyone in this world obeyed the 2nd great commandment, that is, to love thy neighbor as thyself....there would be no hate or violence in this world. Nor would we have sodomy because a romantic relationship between two individuals of the same-gender is NOT considered love in the eyes of God. He considers it an abomination, a sin. We must learn to love not according to the desires of our flesh but according to the laws of God.
Lecture made by Sir Jojo Esposa Jr. about his personal experiences regarding Filipino Deaf Culture's perspective on relationships and what the Bible has to say about it.

This is the first of two messages on the Cross of Jesus Christ as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter 2017. This is a good message about why God had to send Jesus to die fro our sins. Hopefully, this sermon will help us all appreciate the Good Father Who sent Jesus and the Gracious Son, Jesus, Who suffered so much to purchase our salvation from the debt of sin we owed God. I hope it will demonstrate to all who much God loves us that he would pay the debt He required for sin with the death of His own Son.

Based on Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges, this lesson addresses judgmentalism in terms of differing convictions, doctrinal disagreement, and having a critical spirit. The root of all these is pride, and according to I Peter 5:5 God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

On the off chance that both accomplices concur, is anything forbidden?" "Shouldn't something be said about the utilization of vibrators?" "Is oral sex alright?" As we evaluated our rundown…

It is notable that the total number of homosexuals in our country is gradually increasing. Not only their number but also their zeal to introduce homosexuality as “an alternative lifestyle” is rising today. May this article help us see what we ought to think about homosexuality and how we ought to respond to homosexuals.

In Heb 8:3-5:
3) Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer. 4) If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law. 5) They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
This is a teaching presented during the 50-Sunday Programme of the Church of Christ, Sangotedo in order to edify the saints and visitors on the Pattern of Worship of the New Testament Church.
Matthew 22:39. "Love your neighbor as yourself." Our Lord Jesus, commanded that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves, that this was the second most important commandment. Today, we are admonished to renew our love for our neighbours whether they are perceived as friends or enemies.

1 Thess. 5:16 commands that we should "Rejoice Evermore." Being joyous is directly related to how we perceive the circumstances surrounding us. No matter what happens - good or bad - we must see everything as the will of God and continue to give Him thanks always. This is the secret of being joyous.

Our beloved Bishop, Brother Itse Enonuya admonished and encouraged the congregation to grow her interest in the work of evangelism.
He asked this key question: What makes an evangelistic congregation?
In Summary:
1. An evangelistic congregation is one committed to pleasing their Lord,
2. An evangelistic congregation is one that is committed to a spiritual relationship with Jehovah God.
3. An evangelistic congregation is one that is completely committed to the concept of reaching out to the lost.
4. An evangelistic congregation is one that is balanced in reaching out to the lost.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

The Truth About Same-Sex Marriage by Bro. Remilekun Adegboyega
1. CHURCH OF CHRIST,
SANGOTEDO
The Truth About
Same-Sex Marriage
A Sermon Presented by
Bro. Remilekun Adegboyega
16 October 2016
2. On January 22, 1973, the
supreme court of the United
States legalised the killing of
the innocent babies by the
process of abortion. Since that
time about 60 million precious
children have been put to
death
3. It is one the most shameful
date in the history of
Americans. To add to this, on
Friday June 28, 2015, the
supreme court of the United
States made it legal for a man
to marry a man and a woman
to marry a woman.
4. The Americans will never forget this
date, even Christians and the whole
world also will never forget this day. I
see the leadership of United States
throwing God’s law and the
constitution of American into trash
can. Following this trend on face
book and social media, I read a lot of
people views, opinions and write ups.
With the rapid spread of the words of
God the American congress made this
law. Let see Roman 1:28
5. I am feeling like Lot in the book of
2Peter2:6-8
Have you felt that way?
Now let address something being said
on social media in a biblical way with
the scriptures which is the words of
God.
6. Discussion
1. ‘Homosexuals have a right to be
married.’
This is a serious problem because
homosexuals are not married.
Homosexuals were not married on June
27, 2015 and they would not marry on
June 28, 2015.
7. The supreme court does not have
right to decide this. In Matthew
19:6 the bible say therefore what
God has joined together, let not
man put asunder(separate). This
verse tells us something important
about marriage that God is the one
who joins the marriage. If God
does NOT join two people then
they are not married.
8. It does not matter what the
supreme court or anyone says. In
fact, God will NOT join together
two people, except in accordance
to His law. So therefore, God’s
feeling has not been considered by
the top government officials in
United states because the law of
the land contradicts God’s law.
Homosexuals are not married.
9. 2. ‘’All sins are the same.’’
One sin is not worse than another. The
bible proofs this wrong. I don’t know
where this idea comes from.
It is true that:
Any sin can cause a man to be lost.
Any sin is a violation of the law of God,
these are facts and no doubt about.
10. But brethren:
It is NOT true that all sins are equal and
all sins are not view the same way in the
eyes of God.
Let me show you a statement made by
our Lord Jesus Christ Himself when He
was standing in front of Pilate, and
Pilate was conducting His trial in John
19:11. In this verse, Jesus refers to a
particular sin has been greater than
another sin.
11. In 2Timothy 3:13 If sins are of
the same level how come evil
men are growing worse and
worse .
Psalm 19, describe ‘secret
versus presumption sins.’
Secret sin – sin of ignorance
Presumption sin- sin done
with full knowledge.
12. Psalm 19:13 says presumption sin has
the great transgression.
Proverb 6:16; 17-19; Exodus
32:21;30; The point is that God
views sins differently.
1Samuel 2:22-24 the bible discussed
the sin against man versus sin against
God. Two different types of sins.
1John 5: 16 Not all sins are the same,
here we have sin that lead to death
and sins that does not lead to death.
13. 2Peter 2:20 the bible talks about the
Christian who returns to the world
after he had obey the gospel ‘’that the
later end is worse for them than the
beginning.’’ So why would God
punish one sin more severely than
another if all sins are the same?
1Timothy 5:8
The bible has shown to us that sins
are not the same. There are sins that
attract greater consequences.
14. 3. ‘’Homosexuality is no worse
than adultery’’
This is a link to the previous point.
People who support the same-sex
marriage are saying that there is no
different between homosexuals and
someone who commit adultery.
This is not true. Let look at the
Romans 1:26-27.
15. There keys phrases I want us to know
in this verses.
Vile affection : Vile means morally
base or evil, wicked, sinful, offensive,
disgusting , worthless and degrading.
Vile passion or affection come from
the Greek phrase which means
passion of dishonour.
Shameful(unseemly) : means
indecency, infamous lust or lewdness
(Perschbacher’s Greek Lexicon)
16. Unnatural : Same-sex marriage is
unnatural i.e. vile, dishonour; Jude
1:7 says strange flesh means
foreign and unauthorized
behaviour.
Adultery is sinful but natural
Homosexuality is sinful but
unnatural perverted the bible calls
it vile affection to dishonour and
strange flesh.
17. 4. ‘’The Bible does not condemn
homosexuality’’
Does the bible actually condemn
homosexuality? Genesis 18-19 give
the bible account of Sodom and
Gomorrah, and God destroyed these
cities because of homosexuality. Let
read Genesis 19:1-5, Ezekiel 16:49-
50, Jude 1:7, Leviticus 20:17
The bible condemns homosexuality.
18. 5. ‘’Judge Not. ’’Those who try to
defend same-sex marriage say don’t
judge. This is complete misuse of
Matthew 7:1. The bible says do not
judge and you are judging when you
condemn homosexuality. Let see
John 7:24, bible commands righteous
judgment.
Matthew 7: 15-19 commands
righteous judgment.
19. Bible forbids judging
without all the facts or
jumping to conclusion or
hypocritical judgments.
But bible never condemns
calling a sin a sin in fact we
are required to do that.
20. 6 . ‘’Jesus never address
homosexuality.’’
People say if it is a serious matter why
Jesus Christ did not address it. In
Matthew 19:4-5 Jesus Christ did not
specifically mention homosexuality but
He specifically defined marriage
between a male and a female.
Sex outside marriage is sinful and sex
inside marriage must be between a male
and a female.
21. 2 Timothy 3:16
The matter of homosexuality
has become a big problem like
a viral disease spreading across
the world.
‘’What is our responsibility in
this matter?’’
‘’Where do go from here?’’
22. Now apart from United States, there are other 20
countries in the world that have legalised same-
sex marriage. It is practicing in Nigeria, only
that it is not legalised.
1. Do not compromise : Christians should not
compromise we are chosen and elected people. It
is now we need preachers, ministers and teachers
who will afraid to speak what the bible say about
same-sex marriage and be faithful till Christ
comes. In this context that John wrote in the
book of Revelation 2:10
that we should not fear of things which we will
suffer.
23. Some Christians have lost their jobs, some
have been imprison, some have been denied
of their citizenship rights and even some
are attacked and killed because they stand
for the truth.
2. Reach out to homosexuals with the
gospel: We need to preach the gospel to
those that are involving in this vile passion.
Shame on us, shame on you and shame on
me if think that the homosexuals are not
good for the truth and hear the truth.
24. You are not good enough for the truth but
someone shared it with you, I am also not
good for the truth someone preached to me.
Romans 1:16-17.
3. Teach and understand homosexuals can
change. By not silent over this matter, with
sound teaching ringing out all the time God
can touch someone heart and come out of
the unnatural and dishonour act.
1Corinthians6: 9, 10-11.
25. The point here is that some of
the Corinthians were ones
homosexuals but later
changed, and been washed.
Therefore, those who practice
same-sex marriage can
change through our preaching
and teaching.
26. Conclusion
1. We serve a Judge who is infinitely greater
than any judges of the world supreme courts.
2. My resolve must be infinitely greater than
the world around me.
3. The blood of Jesus Christ is infinitely greater
than any sin.
God loves homosexuals and He wants them to
change through the gospel of Christ and it is
our responsibility to carry out the gospel
through our preaching and teaching the truth.
