In the modern age where business is spread globally the...
In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an organization are
highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity in the organizational
management the older system methodology seems to become less relevant and sparingly less useful in
these situations. These issues led to the introduction of complexity paradigm (Amagoh, 2008).
Complexity theory was derived from the chaos and systems theory to show how a system is not
confined in its boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it is
able to adapt and change to various situations.
Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the internal
environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve equilibrium
complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death of an organization. The very
essence of life is to change and transform according to the need of the moment like Samsung took into
Smartphone market with vigor transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment.
Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is the boundary.
While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined for each system there is no
fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The boundaries keep changing along
continually. As per complexity theory a bounded instability state between rigidity and chaos is the
perfect building block for growth and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and
Alison).
There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is based on the structure
of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and flexibility of an organizational structure.
This addresses that a system should be partially connected rather than a completely coupled or
decoupled system (Kauffman, 1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). According to many when a
system is over connected the ability to adapt to changing situations becomes

Animal Cruelty Is A Crime Against Humanity
In order to constitute animal cruelty as a Crime Against Humanity we must prove that society is
ignoring the violence towards them despite the research evidence, the government sanctions mass
killings of them, and that this type of violence affects humans on a large scale (Plant, Schaik, Gullone,
Flynn 2016). Although dispositional factors such as empathy and aggression may influence animal
cruelty, we must look at the environmental factors that lead to the negative effects from a macro level
perspective. In this analysis, I will review whether exposure to animal cruelty correlates with future
maladaptive behaviors and the damaging effects it may have when perpetrated at a large scale.
Part A: Exposure To Animal Cruelty And Its Negative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This proposes the idea of how actions of animal maltreatment are similar to actions of child or
domestic violence. The second reason stated in the book Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal
Abuse: Linking the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Intervention, is that cowardly acts of
aggression against vulnerable members of the family are matters of power and control. The victims
can be of any size, age, gender, or species, it is simply a matter of the opportunity that presents itself
(Ascione Arkow 1999). Lastly, the book Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse: Linking
the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Intervention, states that any act of aggression or
violence within the entire family can put the members of that family at risk. The dangers of this
violence may also reach out as far as the community and its children (Ascione Arkow 1999).
An example of animal exploitation spilling over to other forms of violence is the relationship between
animal violence and intimate partner violence. In a study done in April 2007, researchers asked both
battered and non battered women to report whether their partner had any history of abusing their pets
at home. The women living in the domestic violence shelter were nearly 11 times more likely to report
that their partner had hurt or killed pets than the group of non battered women (Ascione, Weber,
Thompson, Heath, Maruyama 2016). They also found that for the group of battered

The Epistemological Tradition That Best Fits My Own...
Throughout my journey I am discovering the epistemological tradition that best fits my own
perspective. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in
behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as;
behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed my
epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own experiences.
Epistemology is defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods, validity, and scope; it
is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates, 2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I
feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer to experience information before
internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will draw upon my past experiences to
illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an experiential cognitivist, which
situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is defined as a practical approach to
problems or matters. As William James states in his book Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old
Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards
action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II What Pragmatism Means).
Learning as an experiential cognitivist
As an experiential cognitivist I delineate the process of learning through experience, and learning

History Of The Hindenburg Disaster
The Hindenburg disaster happened almost 80 years ago. The Hindenburg was a German built
zeppelin. The ship seen its first flight on March 4,1936. The ship seen its last flight on May 6, 1937.
The Hindenburg had an overall of 63 flights its final was terrifying. The Hindenburg was headed into
the Naval Air Station in New Jersey on May 6, 1937. The Crew and Passengers thought the landing
was going to be a success but they thought wrong. The Hindenburg was having a Hydrogen leakage
which is very bad for the zeppelin. The Passengers and Crew knew something was wrong when the
zeppelin took 4 hours long to land. In the final hour of the landing the leakage was so bad the zeppelin
was engulfed in flames. The windows from the underside of the ship

Meerkats
Meerkats: Standing Tall
Steven Fetherolf
Strayer University
Introduction
Standing tall, the small animal scans the sky for predators, his neck extended and head swiveling side
to side, ever diligent in the search for anything that may prove a threat to his group of fellow meerkats.
At his fullest height, he barely reaches 12 , the average of an adult male in his species. What is this
strange animal, looking similar to a mongoose or an elongated squirrel and sporting black bandit
markings around its eyes that are vaguely reminiscent of a raccoon? What does anyone know of this
incongruous, oft overlooked creature, whose comparable significance to more exotic animals is
virtually unknown? If you have watched the television channel ... Show more content on

This tolerance to venom ensures that the meerkat has little competition for its diet and further allows
them to maintain a steady, plentiful supply. Due to the harsh, water scarce deserts in which meerkats
live, finding adequate water supplies is nearly impossible and when present, water is dominated by
larger animals that consider meerkats to be a meal. Therefore, the meerkat must make use of available
moisture and obtains its requirements primarily through its diet.
It has been observed that a gang of meerkats will inhabit underground burrows consisting of numerous
entrance and exit holes, multiple sleeping and birthing chambers, and having hundreds of feet of
tunnels branching off in several directions, which give them the ability to escape predators who invade
their homes. An average gang s burrow may have well over fifteen separate dens and it should be
noted that the number of areas provide them the opportunity to rotate their use every three to four
weeks. This rotation is a result of parasite (ticks, ants, fleas) overload, making living conditions both
unsafe and unsanitary. Once the parasitic levels have reached a reasonable level, meerkats will re
inhabit the dens. At least one chamber within the burrow is reserved as a bathroom, or litter box,
serving as a safe place for relief of bodily functions. It is extremely unsafe for a meerkat to exit the
burrow at night to relieve themselves, so having a

The Asch Conformity Experiment
Humans often act in ways they know to be incorrect or wrong for their own social benefit, often
because we fear being different. One example of this is the Asch Conformity Experiment, where 75%
of participants would choose the wrong answer on an obvious question just to not stand out from the
crowd. After the experiment, all said they felt self conscious and feared disapproval from the group.
Another example is when those in a social group have preferences or choices differ from the rest of
the group, they will often conform to the rest of the group s opinion. Nobody wants to be the only
person to dislike a certain food or think a certain way, they fear they will be judged negatively for it.
As social creatures, we seek for and strive other

Assess the significance of individual cases in changing...
Since the 19th century, law enforcement and punishment has developed rapidly into the justice system
we rely on today. Obscure laws that had become irrelevant in an industrial and post industrial era were
fast being replaced, and despite its lack of existence at the beginning of the 1800 s, policing standards
are, today, high. The necessity for this drastic change in approach to crime has stemmed from the
needs of industrial Britain, and the increased awareness of the public, and government, and their
perception of crime and punishment. Rather than individual cases having a direct impact on these
changes, in general they provide an insight as to the reactions of the public at the time, and along with
the myriad of other cases, allow us ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Tolpuddle Martyrs are a significant case in showing the increased involvement of the public in
speaking against the justice system. In 1834, members of the Friendly Society of Agricultural
Labourers were transported under an outdated law that prohibited the taking of oaths, when they
protested for a better wage. Perhaps what brought the most sympathy for the case was the fact that
their protest was peaceful, despite the history of violent protest among workers with riots and groups
such as the Luddites. The authorities were equally unsympathetic to this case as they were to the other,
more violent movements. Even after public interest attracted an 800,000 signature petition, protesters
were oppressed at a demonstration in Oldham. The public was aware of the struggles of the poor
worker, but the government still dismissed it; refusing to recognise the desperate circumstance of
workers and citing greed as the motive of the Martyrs. Clearly the case had little impact on
government opinions, with the treatment of the Chartists and the Rebecca Rioters later in the same
decade being the same. But an important contribution of the Tolpuddle Martyrs case was the impact it
had on public opinion, and the increased popularity of worker s unions. This case might suggest that
reform is unrelated to the attitudes of society at

Role of Violence in the History of Cinema
Violence plays a major role in the history of cinema. Both Alfred Hitchcock and Quentin Tarantino
have produced a litany of films that have imagery or plots that include violent acts. However, their
different directorial visions and styles make it so that Hitchcock and Tarantino films are nothing alike.
This is because Hitchcock s objective was to make the audience feel afraid, tense, and anxious for the
protagonist, whereas Tarantino s objective is to illustrate the absurdity of violence by elevating the
macabre to the level of humor. Both Hitchcock and Tarantino are brilliant directors who use violence
in their films to achieve a desired effect.
These two directors differ in that Hitchcock avoids showing any blood, guts, and gore, whereas
Tarantino is determined to show blood, guts, and gore. Alfred Hitchcock s movies rarely if ever show
violence in an explicit manner. Violence is only suggested, which has a poignant impact on the viewer.
The viewer knows that violence is lurking around the corner; because the viewer does not see
anything happen, the fear lingers in the air. This is as true for North By Northwest and Psycho as it is
for The Birds. In these films, violence does not happen in an overt way, and yet the audience feels
afraid and anxious. Tarantino, on the other hand, does not intend for the audience to feel fear. In films
like Pulp Fiction, and the Kill Bill series, Tarantino presents violence completely unhindered. Severed
limbs and other overtly gory

On the other hand, while Zynga has managed to keep a positive cash flow in operations for 2013, their
cash flow in investment activities were positive for the first time. For a growth company, this could
also be a tell tale sign that the company is at a standstill in deciding what their next project should be.
Profitability Assessment Return on Equity Description: Return on Equity (ROE) indicates what each
owner s dollar is producing in terms of net income that is the rate of return on stockholder dollars.
ROE is a common metric for assessing the value of a firm and most investors look to ROE first when
deciding where to allocate their capital. As such, it is also an important measure for a CEO to monitor.
Present Position: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another way to make the ROE look better is to increase debt financing. An increase in debt on the
balance sheet makes shareholder s equity smaller and thus increases ROE without an increase in
earnings. As the other ratios herein indicate, Zynga has not been utilizing debt to a large extent. So an
increase in debt may help, but the company s main focus should be on increasing revenue. An
argument could be made here that Zynga s low ROE at this stage should be disregarded, given its
circumstances as a relatively new company in a rapidly changing external environment. Investors may
need to accept that Zynga needs to spend money in order to make money. Other indicators would tend
to support this, including the steady rise in ROE itself, which if the trend continues, should bring ROE
into the black by the end of 2014. This trend suggests that Zynga is getting more efficient, possibly
through economies of scale, but it should be expected that research and development remains a
significant expense cutting into equity investor s returns. Return on Assets Description: Return on
Assets (ROA) is synonymous with return on investment. It indicates how well a firm uses its assets to
produce net income. It is calculated by dividing a company s net income by its average total assets for
a given period. Like ROE, ROA is often used as a measurement of firm value by providing solid
insight to the number

The Evolution Of The Orangutans
The Orangutans which are also known as Pongo abelii, are the second largest apes after the gorillas.
The male Orangutans can grow up to five feet and weigh around ninety one kilograms while the
female Orangutans can reach an average height of three feet while weighing around forty five
kilograms (Shank, C., 2012). The Orangutans are well known for their ability to swing from tree to
tree easily with their long arms while their legs act as a second pair of arms when needed. Orangutans
in general live up to the age of forty. The female Orangutans are able to produce one infant at a time
with a gestation period of nine months. Female Orangutans are able to produce mere three off springs
during their short child bearing years, thus, making their population growth vulnerable. The
Orangutans play an important role in the ecosystem. They consume fruits and scatter the seeds
through their digestive system all around the forests. This process of scattering seeds around the
forests ensures the growth of fruit bearing trees and plants.
The Sumatran Orangutan population has depleted drastically in the last twenty to thirty years due to
their habitat loss through the clearing of forests to pave way for oil palm plantations and other
agricultural developments (Gursky Doyen, S., Supriatna, J., 2010). With palm oil being extremely
versatile, its demand has resulted in having 48 million tonnes of palm oil being produced each year for
the world export market (Oil World Trade Journal, 2008),

Meno Skeptics
The skeptic is unable to investigate or form any sort of conception of their dogmatic views.(III 31)
The above conclusion stems from two premises presented by the dogmatists in their argument against
the skeptics ability to inquire. Firstly, if the skpetic grasps what the dogmatist says, he cannot be in
doubt about what he has grasped. And secondly, if the skeptic doesn t grasp what the dogmatist says,
he will not even be able to talk about what he has grasped. The dogmatist claim we are considering is
a reformulation of meno s paradox because the premises and the conclusion are similar to that of the
paradox. Consequently, we will be examining the above claim by the dogmatists and the response by
Sextus Empiricus to the dogmatist claims in the frame of meno s paradox. The dogmatists emphasize
the importance of prior knowledge as a requirement for inquiry. To the dogmatists, inquiry was a

Continued inquiry implies that the process of inquiry seemingly never comes to an end. Furthermore,
continued inquiry is fundamentally based on opposing appearances and ideas, instead of prior
knowledge as in the case of the dogmatists. Sextus argues that it is the setting in opposition of these
appearances and ideas of equal force that forms the process of skeptic inquiry. Consequently leading
to a suspension of judgement. The suspension of judgement means that the skeptic neither denies nor
affirms an idea when it comes to inquiry. Such a stance leads to a calmness of the soul or freedom
from disturbance. There is a disturbance that arises from seeking what is true or false according to the
skeptics. For the skeptics it was easier to go for a consideration pushed equally in both directions.(III

Essex County Public Library
In doing my Research Proposal, I will set guidelines to assist library patrons who do not have any
computer experience to learn the basics of using the computer. Everyone should have some kind of
technical training because the world is steadily evolving in technology. Special needs people can also
benefit from this training. Teachers who do not have the proper training for special needs students will
learn how to assist those students. Statement of the Problem One of the problems that many library
staff face is patrons enthusiastically visit the library, but they do not know how to use a computer. A

reason they do not have an e mail ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every needs to know how to check e mail or have some kind of knowledge on how to use a computer.
Creating a resume for a job is a major problem of a lot of individuals who do not have software
training. When I interviewed the librarian for the Essex County Public Library, this was one of the
major issues they frequently encountered. Some of their patrons who visited the library could not read
or write, but the library staff assisted them. Many people who came to the library needed to setup e
mail accounts for their job; it was a requirement. Research Question When applying my practice, I
would setup a guide with links that include a 10 step process to help students write a research paper.
The first step is having the layout for students to understand the importance of conducting research
prior to writing the paper. Students would be able to access information through tabs such as links for
books, articles, e journals and databases. My research question is: What is the proper type of training
to offer patrons who do not know how to use a computer? By doing an ethical experiment, it should
evaluate the patron s computer competencies. Participants will be informed of how the information
will be disseminated and will be informed of their right to privacy they complete and sign a complete
consent form. Thus, a statement of the phenomenon should be stated explicitly; the research should
ask specific questions to all participants equally.

Comparison Of Christopher Smart s My Cat Jeoffry And...
There are a lot of differences between Christopher Smart s My Cat Jeoffry and Thomas Gray s Ode on
the Death of a Favourite Cat, Drowned in a Tub of Gold Fishes. Quite possibly more differences than
anything else but within both poems there is also a lot of things that the two poems have in common.
The approaches Thomas Gray and Christopher Smart used in order to honor cats, so to speak, are
unique and are very much reflections of who Smart and Gray were as people at the time that they
wrote the pieces. Christopher Smart used the connections he felt to God to bring out some of his best
lines to represent his cat, Jeoffry and Thomas Gray used humor to address a sad time and honor a lost
cat for a friend. Christopher Smart s first line says, For I will consider my cay Jeoffry, (Line 695)
basically it recites the title of the poem and it s as if Smart is automatically letting it be known that this
entire writing is going to be for Jeoffry. More importantly that the writing is about the fact that Jeoffry
is a cat. Simple enough, the poem is about a guy obsessed with his cat. Although, it s really more in
depth than just a guy obsessed with his cat. If we add in the second line of the poem which reads, For
he is the servant of the Living God duly and daily serving him, (Line 696) we are provided with a little
bit of that depth. It s a must to take into account the fact that Christopher Smart was hospitalized in an
asylum for five years due to his need to constantly worship

TRAINING, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT An Organization put efforts to help their

Further, willingness of employees for training is also important because without their involvement
results will not be satisfactory. This organization use different factors to influence their employees for
training like different pay scale, based on their qualification of employees. Succession planning is
another factor by which an employee cannot be considered eligible for a particular job until he/she

Teaching Styles in Physical Education
When you become a teacher of any subject you use different styles of teachings that reflect you as a
teacher and the lesson you are trying to teach. Sometimes it can be difficult to find what styles may
work best in different situations. When teaching physical education the most helpful and beneficial
styles are indirect, direct, and interactive teaching. These teaching styles are critical when trying to
teach physical education because they are proven to be effective. These styles will help make you an
effective teacher because of the way they allow you to control and manage the information being
taught. When teaching physical education these styles when incorporate to your class make you a

This method relies heavily on discussion and sharing among participants. The interactive instruction
strategy allows for a range of groupings and interactive methods. These may include total class
discussions, small group discussions or projects, or student pairs or triads working on assignments
together (4). For example in your class you could have team orientated games, spark, or even
adventure ed. These things allow students to work together such as spark. In spark, students will be in
small groups where they try to complete a challenge at hand by working together. These activities
range in goals and rules, but the common concept is that students will be forced to work together.
Interactive teaching is something every teacher should use in their class after using styles like direct
teaching. Direct teaching is a lot of one person practice and repetition to perform a skill correctly.
Interactive teaching is the step you would use after those skills are mastered. Being able to incorporate
those skills in a game or group environment would be showing mastery of a skill while using the
interactive teaching method. This method doesn t always have to be the last stage in a lesson plan, but
it works well when using it as a final stepping stone in your activity plan. When teaching physical
education these three styles of teaching can be vital to you when

Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient Greeks.
These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek column. The column
is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or heroes on top of them. Ionic is
taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to bottom. The base of an Ionic column
looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian,
like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings.
The capital of Corinthian columns, however, has flowers and leaves below a small scroll, making
Corinthian columns the most decorative of all the Greek column types. Doric is the shortest of the
Greek columns. The height of a Doric column is five and a half times its width. The height of an Ionic
column is nine times the width of the column. The height of a Corinthian column is 10 times its width,

Empress Wu s Leadership In The Zhou-Tang Dynasty
Buddhism and the Extended 18th Century in China: A Cultural Analysis of the Rise of Buddhist
Governing Policies and the Anti Patriarchal Modernism of Empress Wu s Leadership in the
Zhou/Tang Dynasty
This cultural study will define the cultural aspects of Chinese history through the rise of Buddhist
policies and anti patriarchal modernism in the leadership of Empress Wu during the tang Dynasty. Wu
s leadership defines the increasingly powerful application of Buddhist governmental policies, which
defied the traditional patriarchy of Confucian traditions. Empress Wu is an example of a unique
cultural adaption of matriarchal power that was forged through Buddhist training Emperor Gaozong.
These Buddhist governmental policies helped to provide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
More so, the dominance of Confucian governing principles and legalities were a major barrier to Wu s
adoption of Buddhist principles as a form of governing ideology. However, she was able to gain more
access to changes in legal codes through Emperor Gaozong s support of Buddhist ideology within this
primarily patriarchal Confucian culture. These Buddhist values tended to bring about a increasingly
powerful way to validate the role of a woman in positions of power in the government. For Empress
Wu, the idea of Buddhist teachings on governance allowed her to validate the historical premise of
these values over those of the Confucian philosophical codes of the

What Is Nyosan s Cultural Voice In The Tale Of Genji
The Heian period of Japanese history exhibits the peak of original Japanese literature and art. As
Chinese influence dwindled, Japan s cultural voice emerged through its newly made religious
doctrines and painting styles. Amongst this 12th century Japanese renaissance came Murasaki Shikibu
s The Tale of Genji, a fifty four chapter novel written in the onna e, feminine style of expression.
Throughout the story, Prince Hikaru Genji, his wife Princess Nyosan, and many other characters
interact through love affairs, experience emotional turmoil and karma, and express mono no aware, or
awareness of impermanence. These emotions are channeled both through characters reactions to

In light of Nyosan adultery, Genji must embrace her lovechild while caring for his bedridden wife.
Although they are married, their relationship struggles to survive due to conflicting desires and
concealed emotions. According to the text, Genji believes that allowing Nyosan to go on living as his
wife would be cruel . His response to Nyosan s frequent feelings that she might not live is considerate,
but Nyosan s sickness is not viral; rather, it is the product of her tormenting sorrow. She suffers
despondency and dejection because she knows that she too was to blame for the situation. By
frequently showing Nyosan s disappointment with herself, Shikibu exemplifies the complexity of
human emotion. Nyosan s words are short quips in which she speaks ill of herself. Her thoughts and
emotions are cluttered, and she is unable to atone to her actions. This is reflected by Shikibu s decision
to have Nyosan speak in irrational phrases rather than complete sentences. If Nyosan spoke as she
normally would, then there would be no impression of her misery; instead, she would seem indifferent

Hummingbirds
Hummingbirds:
Smallest bird on earth Hummingbirds are fascinating birds that are always fun to watch. These birds
are able to hover in mid air, dart from side to side, go straight up or down, or even backwards. They
can out fly and out maneuver birds hundreds of times their size. There are many factors that contribute
to the hummingbirds ability to fly so easily through the air. A hummingbird s wings are shaped so that
they are slightly rounded on the top. Their wings flaps 15 80 times per second, depending on the type
of species they are. The Giant Hummingbird s wings beat 8 10 beats per second, the wings of medium
size hummingbirds beat 20 25 beats per second and the smallest beat 70 beats per second. ... Show

The Venturi effect is evident when the hummingbird holds it s wings close to it s body. The rapid air
flow helps the bird maneuver quickly. Hummingbirds are durable only in life. In death they are
delicate, their wings are hollow and fragile, thus almost never fossilize. This was one of the reason
that the recent discovery of 30 million year old fossil bird that remains may include an ancestral
hummingbird. . Its fossil specimens had long, slender bills ,and shortened upper wings bones topped
by a knob. Surprisingly, fossils were found in the southern part of Germany which was far away from
the modern hummingbird territory. Hummingbird s aggression were shaped by sipping nectar as often
as every minutes. They compete by challenging and bullying each other in mid air; post up and
pirouette, dive to the grass, and paddle backward in dances of dominance that end suddenly as they
begin. They will compete each other up in tall mountains near the equator that offer rich ecosystem at
a variety of elevations. . Hummingbirds are very small birds with a high metabolism, with heart rates
can reach as high as 1,260 beats per minutes, therefore they must be fed constantly.

Facts And Facts About An Expert Based On Their Experience
Facts are facts; they are irrefutable. Therefore, how can two people in the same field disagree when
they are able to view the same facts? This brings to mind two questions. If two people disagree over
the facts, then what are facts? If facts are blameless, then to what extent is one an expert based on their
knowledge in contrast to their experience? This year I realized that facts and experts may be
ambiguous terms as the country prepared for an election. Specifically, I entered into domestic
discussions with my own parents. Though I had learned many of my values from them, we disagreed
politically. I decided that though my parents and I could see the same facts, we had different

More specifically, it showed that facts are ambiguous, sometimes because morals or religious beliefs
can alter their meanings. In this scenario, the knowledge that stem cells from human embryos offer the
chance to cure many diseases is an idea that is pleasing to countries where disease is rampant, but is
disturbing to those whose religious beliefs indicate that life begins before birth. As a result it is
possible for two experts to disagree because of how they define life, often caused by their own
experiences and emotions. Disagreements may even come when two experts share knowledge of the
same subject, even though they use it in different fields. On March 4, 1986, The Times published an
article titled Two Experts Disagree on Skull Findings. Louise Robbins, a forensic anthropologist at the
University of North Carolina; and John B. Butts, associate chief medical examiner for North Carolina
both agreed that a skull found in Guilford Creek belonged to a young, white female. However,
Robbins insisted that the girl was most likely shot in the head while Butts insists that the girl likely
underwent a surgery, a surgeon s drill being the cause of the hole. In the article, Robbins made clear

operating systems have features which are unique unto themselves. Although there may be arguments
as to which one of these three operating systems is better it really all comes down to what features are
needed for each user. This paper will describe the features that each of these operating systems has to

Despite this Mac has continued to gain popularity in the market. It s programs have proved to be more
stable than Windows, as a result of this hardware for the systems generally last longer as well. This is
due to the fact that Mac systems have more features that monitor and regulate the activities,
temperatures, and functions that can wear a system down faster. Mac computers also become known
for their vivid aqua screen. Because of this many graphic designers, special effects editors, and even
musicians have switched to using Mac computers. Even despite their price, which to this day remains
higher than the competition, Mac still shares a steady part of the market and its popularity continues to
grow. One of the biggest things that has kept Apple very competitive in the market is their version of
the tablet. They have also developed the iPhone and the iPod. Apple was the first to not only create
these devices but also they made these devices work with each other in a way that no other company
has done with any of their devices before. Three operating systems discuss in this paper each have
their advantages and disadvantages from one another. The biggest advantage for Microsoft is the
widespread use and compatibility with most every type of program out there. If you re a Linux fan

States and Canada in particular, is viewed as a bountiful land with rich resources and numerous civil

The initial colonies were very unified both religiously and politically. There was little variance and a
strong sense of identity.
The continued influx of colonizers would fall to a trickle of only a hundred or so per year after the
English Civil War in 1642 and remain subdued until the American Revolution (Reader s Companion
to American History). The colonies which were formed after the English Civil War were much more
diverse in their makeup than were the initial Puritan colonies. These colonies formed over a longer
period of time and their populations were composed of people who had left England for a varying
degree of reasons. In addition, rather than being composed of immigrants from one primary area in
England, the English colonists were more geographically diverse as well.
The English had limited dealings with the Natives of the areas they colonized, preferring to operate
their colonies as autonomously as possible, depending more on interaction with the respective mother
countries than with the Native Americans (Foner and Garraty). England would become, arguably, the
most successful of the northern European countries that colonized, eventually extending their range all
the way into the interior of the new continent (Foner and Garraty).
Although the northern Europeans were not necessarily interested in exploiting the labor of the Native
Americans, they were interested in their

Figurative Language Of Out, Out By Robert Frost
Poetic Analysis of Out, Out By Robert Frost In Robert Frost s poem Out, Out the poet uses literary
devices to describe the setting and thorough meaning of the poem. Frost has created a character during

and figurative language. The imagery shows that since the character is young and responsible, he
works to support him and his family. We are first introduced to the image of the young boy working as

Stereotyping Is A Natural Instinct That Humans
Historically, humans have always been separated into groups based on appearance, whether that is
concerning body shape, the clothes we wear, or the color of our skin. Stereotyping is a natural instinct
that humans have because they feel the need to classify people in order to not feel threatened by them.
Humans feel an obligation to know and understand people but do not necessarily want to be associated
with them, thus they place people into specific groups, labeling them. One of the primary ways that
we stereotype people is by their race. Being a minority that has always been prejudiced against in
America, African Americans are often judged because of the way that they speak. Black students have
struggled in academic settings that use Standard English, such as in the common American classroom.
African American Vernacular English (AAVE) harms Black students through discrimination on
standardized tests and in classroom environments.
AAVE is a variation of what is commonly referred to as Standard English, and is predominantly
spoken by African American communities across the United States. Unlike many other variations of
English, AAVE is not regional so African Americans speak more or less the same way all across the
country. These sociolinguistic parallels are because African Americans are oriented to a sense of
ethnic solidarity and nation wide cohesiveness due to their extensive history of fighting in unity for
the same victories (Fought, 2003). The possibility that AAVE

Vertical Integration Of Film Industry
When we think of the film industry in Hollywood, we often picture it in our mind as an ideal industry
full of fame and money. What makes the production process of films in Hollywood so successful? The
answer is the studio system. According to Hollywoodlexicon.com, the studio system is a business
model adopted by five major Hollywood studios Paramount Pictures, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Warner
Brothers Pictures, 20th Century Fox and RKO that combined all facets of film production with studio
owned distribution chains. In fact, The Big Five Studios possessed 17% of the theaters that owned
45% of domestic film rentals by 1945. The genesis of the studio system began when the studio system
first took over Thomas Edison s organization called the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The term vertical integration refers to the structure of a marketplace that is integrated (rather than
segregated) at a variety of crucial levels; in the case of the motion picture industry, the studio system
established a market in which the studios are owners of their production facilities, distribution outlets,
and theaters (Belton 68). Since the studios could control the entire process of production,
distribution/booking and exhibition, they could be recognized as a monopoly. The studios even owned
their actors, directors, producers, cinematographers, screenwriters, art directors, and other staff by
keeping them all under a contract. The formation of vertical integration first started in the 1910s, when
independent exhibitors and independent distributors were denied motion pictures by the trust.
Independent exhibitors had to pay fees to the trust if they wanted to use its theaters and many refused
the idea of paying those fees while independent distributors disliked the idea of the trust s control on
the supply of films. These problems resulted in the merging of distribution companies and production
companies as they sought to get into production. The mergers bought theater chains and exhibitors
contributed their distribution and production to the merger s business model. An example is the
establishment of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, which was merged from Metro Pictures, Louis B. Mayer
Picture Corp, and Goldwyn Pictures in 1924. The formation of Metro Goldwyn Mayer was made
possible by Marcus Loew, who owned a chain of theaters and bought the individual companies Metro
Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures, and Louis B. Mayer Picture Corp. in order to get into production and
distribution. This merge gave Metro Goldwyn Mayer the ability to optimize the distribution,
production and exhibition processes of a movie. To

The Controllers Of The Air Controllers
Tenerife Air Controllers As mentioned, the air controllers on staff on Sunday, March 27, 1977 was
light. This airport was small and on a normal day did not have a lot of air traffic. The airport was not
equipped to handle the amount of planes, or the large planes because they were not the appropriate
size nor did they have the proper dimensions to allow the large planes to make the appropriate
maneuvers. There was no ground radar, there was no ground lights, clouds are moving in and
minimizing visibility, and they had to work in their second language. Why did the controllers ever feel
it was safe to guide planes they were unfamiliar with completely blind? Why did they not ground the
planes when the fog moved in? Controllers are in charge of ensuring the planes safely land and take
off by managing the order of takeoff and each plane s direction. If they cannot see them how are they
able to effectively do this?
Leadership Style Van Zanten s leadership style not only affected the performance of his own team, but
impacted his decisions, Pan Am cockpit crew, the controllers and all the passengers on both planes. He
did not appear to be focused on people during his decision making at Tenerife, and it is not

  • 2. In the modern age where business is spread globally the... In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an organization are highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity in the organizational management the older system methodology seems to become less relevant and sparingly less useful in these situations. These issues led to the introduction of complexity paradigm (Amagoh, 2008). Complexity theory was derived from the chaos and systems theory to show how a system is not confined in its boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it is able to adapt and change to various situations. Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the internal environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve equilibrium complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death of an organization. The very essence of life is to change and transform according to the need of the moment like Samsung took into Smartphone market with vigor transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment. Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is the boundary. While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined for each system there is no fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The boundaries keep changing along continually. As per complexity theory a bounded instability state between rigidity and chaos is the perfect building block for growth and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and Alison). There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is based on the structure of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and flexibility of an organizational structure. This addresses that a system should be partially connected rather than a completely coupled or decoupled system (Kauffman, 1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). According to many when a system is over connected the ability to adapt to changing situations becomes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Animal Cruelty Is A Crime Against Humanity In order to constitute animal cruelty as a Crime Against Humanity we must prove that society is ignoring the violence towards them despite the research evidence, the government sanctions mass killings of them, and that this type of violence affects humans on a large scale (Plant, Schaik, Gullone, Flynn 2016). Although dispositional factors such as empathy and aggression may influence animal cruelty, we must look at the environmental factors that lead to the negative effects from a macro level perspective. In this analysis, I will review whether exposure to animal cruelty correlates with future maladaptive behaviors and the damaging effects it may have when perpetrated at a large scale. Part A: Exposure To Animal Cruelty And Its Negative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This proposes the idea of how actions of animal maltreatment are similar to actions of child or domestic violence. The second reason stated in the book Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse: Linking the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Intervention, is that cowardly acts of aggression against vulnerable members of the family are matters of power and control. The victims can be of any size, age, gender, or species, it is simply a matter of the opportunity that presents itself (Ascione Arkow 1999). Lastly, the book Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse: Linking the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Intervention, states that any act of aggression or violence within the entire family can put the members of that family at risk. The dangers of this violence may also reach out as far as the community and its children (Ascione Arkow 1999). An example of animal exploitation spilling over to other forms of violence is the relationship between animal violence and intimate partner violence. In a study done in April 2007, researchers asked both battered and non battered women to report whether their partner had any history of abusing their pets at home. The women living in the domestic violence shelter were nearly 11 times more likely to report that their partner had hurt or killed pets than the group of non battered women (Ascione, Weber, Thompson, Heath, Maruyama 2016). They also found that for the group of battered ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Epistemological Tradition That Best Fits My Own... Throughout my journey I am discovering the epistemological tradition that best fits my own perspective. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as; behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed my epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own experiences. Epistemology is defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods, validity, and scope; it is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates, 2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer to experience information before internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will draw upon my past experiences to illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an experiential cognitivist, which situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is defined as a practical approach to problems or matters. As William James states in his book Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II What Pragmatism Means). Learning as an experiential cognitivist As an experiential cognitivist I delineate the process of learning through experience, and learning through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Meerkats Meerkats: Standing Tall Steven Fetherolf Strayer University Introduction Standing tall, the small animal scans the sky for predators, his neck extended and head swiveling side to side, ever diligent in the search for anything that may prove a threat to his group of fellow meerkats. At his fullest height, he barely reaches 12 , the average of an adult male in his species. What is this strange animal, looking similar to a mongoose or an elongated squirrel and sporting black bandit markings around its eyes that are vaguely reminiscent of a raccoon? What does anyone know of this incongruous, oft overlooked creature, whose comparable significance to more exotic animals is virtually unknown? If you have watched the television channel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This tolerance to venom ensures that the meerkat has little competition for its diet and further allows them to maintain a steady, plentiful supply. Due to the harsh, water scarce deserts in which meerkats live, finding adequate water supplies is nearly impossible and when present, water is dominated by larger animals that consider meerkats to be a meal. Therefore, the meerkat must make use of available moisture and obtains its requirements primarily through its diet. It has been observed that a gang of meerkats will inhabit underground burrows consisting of numerous entrance and exit holes, multiple sleeping and birthing chambers, and having hundreds of feet of tunnels branching off in several directions, which give them the ability to escape predators who invade their homes. An average gang s burrow may have well over fifteen separate dens and it should be noted that the number of areas provide them the opportunity to rotate their use every three to four weeks. This rotation is a result of parasite (ticks, ants, fleas) overload, making living conditions both unsafe and unsanitary. One example of this is the Asch Conformity Experiment, where 75% of participants would choose the wrong answer on an obvious question just to not stand out from the crowd. After the experiment, all said they felt self conscious and feared disapproval from the group. Another example is when those in a social group have preferences or choices differ from the rest of the group, they will often conform to the rest of the group s opinion. Obscure laws that had become irrelevant in an industrial and post industrial era were fast being replaced, and despite its lack of existence at the beginning of the 1800 s, policing standards are, today, high. The necessity for this drastic change in approach to crime has stemmed from the needs of industrial Britain, and the increased awareness of the public, and government, and their perception of crime and punishment. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Tolpuddle Martyrs are a significant case in showing the increased involvement of the public in speaking against the justice system. In 1834, members of the Friendly Society of Agricultural Labourers were transported under an outdated law that prohibited the taking of oaths, when they protested for a better wage. Perhaps what brought the most sympathy for the case was the fact that their protest was peaceful, despite the history of violent protest among workers with riots and groups such as the Luddites. The authorities were equally unsympathetic to this case as they were to the other, more violent movements. Even after public interest attracted an 800,000 signature petition, protesters were oppressed at a demonstration in Oldham. The public was aware of the struggles of the poor worker, but the government still dismissed it; refusing to recognise the desperate circumstance of workers and citing greed as the motive of the Martyrs. Clearly the case had little impact on government opinions, with the treatment of the Chartists and the Rebecca Rioters later in the same decade being the same. But an important contribution of the Tolpuddle Martyrs case was the impact it had on public opinion, and the increased popularity of worker s unions. This case might suggest that reform is unrelated to the attitudes of society at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Role of Violence in the History of Cinema Violence plays a major role in the history of cinema. Both Alfred Hitchcock and Quentin Tarantino have produced a litany of films that have imagery or plots that include violent acts. However, their different directorial visions and styles make it so that Hitchcock and Tarantino films are nothing alike. This is because Hitchcock s objective was to make the audience feel afraid, tense, and anxious for the protagonist, whereas Tarantino s objective is to illustrate the absurdity of violence by elevating the macabre to the level of humor. Both Hitchcock and Tarantino are brilliant directors who use violence in their films to achieve a desired effect. These two directors differ in that Hitchcock avoids showing any blood, guts, and gore, whereas Tarantino is determined to show blood, guts, and gore. Alfred Hitchcock s movies rarely if ever show violence in an explicit manner. Violence is only suggested, which has a poignant impact on the viewer. The viewer knows that violence is lurking around the corner; because the viewer does not see anything happen, the fear lingers in the air. This is as true for North By Northwest and Psycho as it is for The Birds. In these films, violence does not happen in an overt way, and yet the audience feels afraid and anxious. Tarantino, on the other hand, does not intend for the audience to feel fear. In films like Pulp Fiction, and the Kill Bill series, Tarantino presents violence completely unhindered. On the other hand, while Zynga has managed to keep a positive cash flow in operations for 2013, their cash flow in investment activities were positive for the first time. For a growth company, this could also be a tell tale sign that the company is at a standstill in deciding what their next project should be. Profitability Assessment Return on Equity Description: Return on Equity (ROE) indicates what each owner s dollar is producing in terms of net income that is the rate of return on stockholder dollars. ROE is a common metric for assessing the value of a firm and most investors look to ROE first when deciding where to allocate their capital. As such, it is also an important measure for a CEO to monitor. Present Position: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another way to make the ROE look better is to increase debt financing. An increase in debt on the balance sheet makes shareholder s equity smaller and thus increases ROE without an increase in earnings. As the other ratios herein indicate, Zynga has not been utilizing debt to a large extent. So an increase in debt may help, but the company s main focus should be on increasing revenue. An argument could be made here that Zynga s low ROE at this stage should be disregarded, given its circumstances as a relatively new company in a rapidly changing external environment. Investors may need to accept that Zynga needs to spend money in order to make money. Other indicators would tend to support this, including the steady rise in ROE itself, which if the trend continues, should bring ROE into the black by the end of 2014. This trend suggests that Zynga is getting more efficient, possibly through economies of scale, but it should be expected that research and development remains a significant expense cutting into equity investor s returns. Return on Assets Description: Return on Assets (ROA) is synonymous with return on investment. It indicates how well a firm uses its assets to produce net income. It is calculated by dividing a company s net income by its average total assets for a given period. Meno Skeptics The skeptic is unable to investigate or form any sort of conception of their dogmatic views.(III 31) The above conclusion stems from two premises presented by the dogmatists in their argument against the skeptics ability to inquire. And secondly, if the skeptic doesn t grasp what the dogmatist says, he will not even be able to talk about what he has grasped. Quite possibly more differences than anything else but within both poems there is also a lot of things that the two poems have in common. The approaches Thomas Gray and Christopher Smart used in order to honor cats, so to speak, are unique and are very much reflections of who Smart and Gray were as people at the time that they wrote the pieces. Christopher Smart used the connections he felt to God to bring out some of his best lines to represent his cat, Jeoffry and Thomas Gray used humor to address a sad time and honor a lost cat for a friend. Christopher Smart s first line says, For I will consider my cay Jeoffry, (Line 695) basically it recites the title of the poem and it s as if Smart is automatically letting it be known that this entire writing is going to be for Jeoffry. More importantly that the writing is about the fact that Jeoffry is a cat. Simple enough, the poem is about a guy obsessed with his cat. Although, it s really more in depth than just a guy obsessed with his cat. If we add in the second line of the poem which reads, For he is the servant of the Living God duly and daily serving him, (Line 696) we are provided with a little bit of that depth. In this scenario, the knowledge that stem cells from human embryos offer the chance to cure many diseases is an idea that is pleasing to countries where disease is rampant, but is disturbing to those whose religious beliefs indicate that life begins before birth. As a result it is possible for two experts to disagree because of how they define life, often caused by their own experiences and emotions. Disagreements may even come when two experts share knowledge of the same subject, even though they use it in different fields. On March 4, 1986, The Times published an article titled Two Experts Disagree on Skull Findings. Louise Robbins, a forensic anthropologist at the University of North Carolina; and John B. Butts, associate chief medical examiner for North Carolina both agreed that a skull found in Guilford Creek belonged to a young, white female. However, Robbins insisted that the girl was most likely shot in the head while Butts insists that the girl likely underwent a surgery, a surgeon s drill being the cause of the hole. The Major Differences in the Colonization of North and South America between the French, Spanish and English and Subsequent Civil Rights. Even in the twenty first century North America, the United States and Canada in particular, is viewed as a bountiful land with rich resources and numerous civil liberties that have inspired different ethnic groups from across the globe to flock to this continent in hopes of a better life. The initial colonies were very unified both religiously and politically. There was little variance and a strong sense of identity. The continued influx of colonizers would fall to a trickle of only a hundred or so per year after the English Civil War in 1642 and remain subdued until the American Revolution (Reader s Companion to American History). The colonies which were formed after the English Civil War were much more diverse in their makeup than were the initial Puritan colonies. These colonies formed over a longer period of time and their populations were composed of people who had left England for a varying degree of reasons. In addition, rather than being composed of immigrants from one primary area in England, the English colonists were more geographically diverse as well. The English had limited dealings with the Natives of the areas they colonized, preferring to operate their colonies as autonomously as possible, depending more on interaction with the respective mother countries than with the Native Americans (Foner and Garraty). England would become, arguably, the most successful of the northern European countries that colonized, eventually extending their range all the way into the interior of the new continent (Foner and Garraty). • 31. Stereotyping Is A Natural Instinct That Humans Historically, humans have always been separated into groups based on appearance, whether that is concerning body shape, the clothes we wear, or the color of our skin. Stereotyping is a natural instinct that humans have because they feel the need to classify people in order to not feel threatened by them. Humans feel an obligation to know and understand people but do not necessarily want to be associated with them, thus they place people into specific groups, labeling them. One of the primary ways that we stereotype people is by their race. Being a minority that has always been prejudiced against in America, African Americans are often judged because of the way that they speak. Black students have struggled in academic settings that use Standard English, such as in the common American classroom. African American Vernacular English (AAVE) harms Black students through discrimination on standardized tests and in classroom environments. AAVE is a variation of what is commonly referred to as Standard English, and is predominantly spoken by African American communities across the United States. Unlike many other variations of English, AAVE is not regional so African Americans speak more or less the same way all across the country. These sociolinguistic parallels are because African Americans are oriented to a sense of ethnic solidarity and nation wide cohesiveness due to their extensive history of fighting in unity for the same victories (Fought, 2003). The possibility that AAVE ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Vertical Integration Of Film Industry When we think of the film industry in Hollywood, we often picture it in our mind as an ideal industry full of fame and money. What makes the production process of films in Hollywood so successful? The answer is the studio system. According to Hollywoodlexicon.com, the studio system is a business model adopted by five major Hollywood studios Paramount Pictures, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Warner Brothers Pictures, 20th Century Fox and RKO that combined all facets of film production with studio owned distribution chains. In fact, The Big Five Studios possessed 17% of the theaters that owned 45% of domestic film rentals by 1945. The genesis of the studio system began when the studio system first took over Thomas Edison s organization called the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The term vertical integration refers to the structure of a marketplace that is integrated (rather than segregated) at a variety of crucial levels; in the case of the motion picture industry, the studio system established a market in which the studios are owners of their production facilities, distribution outlets, and theaters (Belton 68). Since the studios could control the entire process of production, distribution/booking and exhibition, they could be recognized as a monopoly. The studios even owned their actors, directors, producers, cinematographers, screenwriters, art directors, and other staff by keeping them all under a contract. The formation of vertical integration first started in the 1910s, when independent exhibitors and independent distributors were denied motion pictures by the trust. Independent exhibitors had to pay fees to the trust if they wanted to use its theaters and many refused the idea of paying those fees while independent distributors disliked the idea of the trust s control on the supply of films. These problems resulted in the merging of distribution companies and production companies as they sought to get into production. The mergers bought theater chains and exhibitors contributed their distribution and production to the merger s business model. An example is the establishment of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, which was merged from Metro Pictures, Louis B. Mayer Picture Corp, and Goldwyn Pictures in 1924. The formation of Metro Goldwyn Mayer was made possible by Marcus Loew, who owned a chain of theaters and bought the individual companies Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures, and Louis B. Mayer Picture Corp. in order to get into production and distribution. This merge gave Metro Goldwyn Mayer the ability to optimize the distribution, production and exhibition processes of a movie. This airport was small and on a normal day did not have a lot of air traffic. The airport was not equipped to handle the amount of planes, or the large planes because they were not the appropriate size nor did they have the proper dimensions to allow the large planes to make the appropriate maneuvers. There was no ground radar, there was no ground lights, clouds are moving in and minimizing visibility, and they had to work in their second language. Why did the controllers ever feel it was safe to guide planes they were unfamiliar with completely blind? Why did they not ground the planes when the fog moved in? Controllers are in charge of ensuring the planes safely land and take off by managing the order of takeoff and each plane s direction. If they cannot see them how are they able to effectively do this? Leadership Style Van Zanten s leadership style not only affected the performance of his own team, but impacted his decisions, Pan Am cockpit crew, the controllers and all the passengers on both planes.
