Goldfish Lab Report
In this experiment, an oxygen measuring probe was attached to an oxygen chamber in order to
quantify oxygen consumption rate, which served as a substitute measure for metabolic rate.
The oxygen measuring probe provided real time measurements of dissolved oxygen (DO)
concentration present in the chamber water. The oxygen chamber was sealed to create a closed
system so that over time, the oxygen levels would decrease as the goldfish respired and
consumed the oxygen present in the water. The software LoggerLite was used to record real
time DO concentration measurements. The procedure for this experiment followed the steps as
shown in the flow chart (Figure 1) and will be expanded upon here. The oxygen measuring probe
in the test chamber was first turned on and required 10 minutes to warm up. During this time,
two empty containers had 200mL of fish water added to them and then each was weighed using
a scale that was tared to zero before use. Two pairs of goldfish were then collected from the large
tank #1 in the lab room using the fish net provided, and one pair was placed in each container.
Then, the containers were reweighed separately and the original weights were subtracted from the
new weights in order to determine each pair of goldfish s weight. Two trials were conducted and
in each trial, each goldfish pair was subjected to two conditions, first a control condition where no
factors were introduced, followed by an experimental condition where they were exposed

we use. The simplest antenna technology is SISO. In some environments, this system is vulnerable

thus it take multi paths to reach the destination. Fading, cut out (cliff effect), and intermittent

Cover Letter
I am currently working as a natural gas regulator assistant inspector on a full time basis. Basically
this position required me to work in a formal apprenticeship, and I was trained and became
familiarized with all the important particulars of this job.
What my trainers made very clear to me is the importance of workers in the natural gas industry
having a deep understanding of all the implications relating to safety. There have been some
catastrophic explosions due to leaking gas pipelines in recent years, and energy companies want to
hire people that are very alert, intelligent, and who are willing to learn and be good listeners during
training and once on the job.
I am one of those quality employees. I feel fortunate to have this position, and moreover, I have
conducted research into the industry giving particular attention to the specifics of my own job,
duties and responsibilities and I present that information through this report. Learning well,
following directions, and being competent are things my family taught me, and I do believe I am
well suited for my position and will be able to climb the ladder and be given more responsibility
as time goes by and my supervisors become confident in my aptitude and my work ethic.

The Shawshank Redemption is a prison drama movie released in 1994 and is based on a novella
named Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption . The novella was written by Stephen
King and published in 1982 in a compilation of four novellas which was named Different
Seasons. Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption was the first novella in the book; King
called this first chapter HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL. The rest of the novella chapters had
references to summer, fall and winter. However, King pointed directly to the main theme of the
novella by his emphasis on HOPE. Imprisonment is obviously an isolating and fearful
experience. Ironically, after long incarceration, many prisoners become institutionalized and so
used to the bars, the tight schedules and the prison guards that they become afraid of freedom or

years, Wal Mart had 38 locations and was opening two stores per year. In 1970, the company

$1billion sales and it became the first company to do so. Wal Mart reached record after record
during those years, and by the end of 1989, Wal Mart reported after tax profits of $1billlion. Wal
Mart now has become a symbol of the United States, and it is the biggest employer in the world
with approximately 2.2 million workers with operations in 27 different countries. Wal Mart s
revenue is gargantuan; they were ranked number one by Fortune Magazine in 2001, with a

tried to unionize in one of the distribution centers in Arkansas. Walton told the workers that if they
unionize, he would remove the employees profit sharing plan and replace them with other
employees. Another scandal Wal Mart faced was in its Made in America campaign, during which
most of the clothes sold in Wal Mart were manufactured in sweatshops in developing countries. The

The music industry has been on the decline ever since new ways to pirate music have become
available. In fact, the Recording Industry Association of America estimates that six percent of the
U.S. gross domestic product is generated by the entertainment industry and that the music industry
