The world of both business and marketing has changed. With customers in all sectors now going online, your business has to be there to meet them – and for a company to be successful it has to thrive using the new marketing mix. But there’s no point in investing in marketing (digital or otherwise) if you haven’t got your business basics right first. Do you have the right company culture for growth? Do you have a point of difference that sets you apart? Do you know your customer inside out?

How to Gain Market Intelligence Through CommunitiesAcquia
User-generated content can make or break your B2B or B2C business. In fact, Forrester’s most recent “Social Depth Platforms” Wave™ reported that “user-generated content favorably influences buying behavior...business-to-business companies are increasingly investigating how to use ratings and reviews to influence purchases.”
Despite these findings, many organizations continue to allow 3rd party vendors to control user-generated ratings and reviews, rather than creating their own social communities. Herein lies an incredible opportunity for organizations to make a significant business impact and take full ownership of their brand’s social identity.
By building online social communities, organizations can take control of customer interactions, gather strategic data for future campaigns and initiatives, analyze what drives their B2B and B2C consumers, and reclaim their social identities to streamline their overall brand experience.
In this webinar, you will learn how to:
- Create a scalable and engaged social community
- Identify key brand influencers and leverage user-generated content
- Increase your brand’s social activity
- Convert social activity into sales and marketing opportunities
- Use Drupal Commons 3’s market-leading toolset to manage, analyze and optimize your social communities

"Your customer data flows faster each day, which is why collecting, organizing, and doing something meaningful with it is just good business.
But, it can be tough to do.
Stashing data in different places across your organization to come back (hopefully) later is a great way to mismanage or lose it. Squirrels can stash, but enterprises can’t.
You need a customer data platform (CDP). A central command center that securely holds your customer data and lets you organize it according to your goals.
The thing is, what’s best for you? A CDP out-of-the-box? Building a customer data solution yourself? There’s merit in both options, and this webinar is here to help you narrow down what’s best for your business. Acquia, Bounteous, and Appnovation will show you:
How a single source for customer data storage can mitigate risk and optimize customer experience
How central data governance will help your customer data strategy once the almighty Google takes away cookies
The comprehensive CDP build-or-buy checklist + CDP must-haves for your budget
First-party data management that keeps your customers' data safe and your business booming
It’s 10 PM, do you know where your data is?"

The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.
