Enterprise architecture management is a "management practice that establishes, maintains and uses a coherent set of guidelines, architecture principles and governance regimes that provide direction and practical help in the design and development of an enterprise's architecture to achieve its vision and strategy. In this business best practice slide deck you learn how to assess and setup Enterprise Architecture and Digital Architecture frameworks as well as a transformation plan.
We provide you with the following best practices:
- Need for Enterprise Architecture Management
- Enterprise Architecture Approach
- Architecture Target Picture Development
- Implementation Roadmap
Microservice platforms are finally becoming a reality: Mesos, Kubernetes, and a whole bunch of PaaS-style offerings are available, but the reality is that these platforms still don’t provide everything you need in order to build a fully functional microservice ecosystem. Come to this session to learn about the essential deployment, orchestration, and glue components that often have to be self-assembled. The presentation begins by looking at deployment techniques and tools and examines where to test (QA, staging, or production), how to test (integration and contracts), and how to separate deployment and release. It then discusses orchestration, configuration, and service discovery. Finally it looks at essential glue such as logging, monitoring, and alerting.

Track Keynote for the Requirements Definition & Management Track at the IBM Rational Software Conference 2009
Requirements Definition and Management encompasses all of the activities that revolve around eliciting, defining, elaborating, understanding, organizing, reviewing, and communicating business, user, and software requirements, as well as defining solutions based on those business goals and objectives. These activities are done because they help ensure that the applications that are developed solve the real business and customer problems. This track explores the experiences of organizations with tools, techniques, and processes used to effectively define and manage requirements and analyze systems. Analysts, architects, developers, project managers, and others interested in methodology and tools for defining, managing, and analyzing requirements should attend this track.
Requirements' Quality Improvement: A Successful Case StudyThe REUSE Company
Low quality in our requirements specifications impact, significantly, in the overall quality of the projects, causing important losses as delays, loss of contracts, and in some rare cases, losses related to the environment or even human lives. A successful case study focused on improving processes and techniques will be presented as well as tools related to authoring, verification and validation of requirements.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Access Control Strategies
Use strict controls at top levels
Prevent accidental data moves and copies
Use propagation to allow easier access
Each project/level can have separate access
Use groups rather than named users
Use groups for common permissions
Set project access to “None”
Explicitly allocate rights through groups
No one (except the Admin Groups) should have access to anything as a
default.
Users who are both Admins and Engineers should have two accounts to keep the work
done separate.
