• Dynamics : Dynamics is the study of force
where body is not equilibrium and the bodies

9. CHARACTERISTICS OF
MECHANICS
• Rest : An object does not change it’s position in course of
time with respect to it’s surroundings than the body is
called at rest.
• Motion : An object change it’s position in course of time
with respect to it’s surroundings than the body is called at
motion. There are 5 kinds of motion.

4. Periodic
5. Vibrational

It is the rate of change of distance. It is
denoted by the symbol “V”.
Mathematically, speed= distance/time

It is the rate of change of displacement.

First law of motion: Everybody continues in its
state of rest or constant speed in straight line.
