Module outcomes 
The anticipated outcomes and objectives of this module are: 
Improve listening skills such as predicting content; listening 
for main ideas and details; identifying true or false statements. 
Use context clues for meaning; define words, idiomatic 
expressions and synonyms; use prepositions; recognise 
Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, Past 
Simple tenses and use them appropriately. 
Use effectively extensive reading strategies; develop an ever 
expanding fund of recognised words and their meanings; find 
specific information. 
Improve students’ writing which involves not only the 
accurate use of language but also the effective organisation of 
information; communicate accurately through formal and 
informal writing.
Academic Integrity 
Always present your original work for 
assessment. Do not copy from books, 
websites, or fellow students. 
Academic dishonesty is considered a 
misconduct and serious penalties are 
imposed if a student plagiarized. 
Cases of academic dishonesty are 
investigated by the Academic 
Department and the recommendations 
will be submitted to the Managing 
Director. 
Student has the right to appeal.
