company, but still do not have objectives completely aligned to external
shareholders. Only at very high levels of managerial holdings are incentives akin to
other shareholders. When this model is applied to a large sample of firms
incorporated in the UK, managerial ownership is seen to have a significant impact
on corporate value. This relationship is endogenous, and consistent with Cho (1998)
and Himmelberg et al. (1999), corporate value has a corresponding effect on
managerial holdings. We also find that although ownership levels are affected by firm
level investment, there is no evidence of the reverse occurring. In the next section we
outline our model of the managerial ownership corporate value relationship. We

cover. The book, by Ron Kovic, as compared to the film, by Oliver Stone, had some
impressive similarities. Both the book and the film did a great job of portraying Ron
s childhood in Massapequa, Long Island. From the little league games to playing war
in the woods, leading charges and setting ambushes. This was especially well done
in the movie, and exactly as I pictured them while reading the book. The time that
he spent in Mexico was well defined in the book as well as in the film. While there

Aunt Jemima has often been considered an archetype of advertising for well over a
century. As times have changed their ads have too and have always stayed
persuasive, keeping them in business since 1889. In this 1953 add for Aunt Jemima
pancakes and waffles, visual rhetoric, such as target audience, context, and focus, are
noticeably prevalent in order to persuade available markets to buy their product. This
advertisement for Aunt Jemima pancakes and waffles has a clear intent to sell
viewers their product. The advertisement has a blank, white background and many
separate images and lettering throughout it. The two boldest images seen are the
stack of three pancakes in the center of the ad and the words, Wake Up written in
red across the top. The pancakes have pieces of bacon around the edges and are
covered in butter and syrup. The next features of the add that stick out are the
words, to Aunt Jemima Pancakes written in black as well as a smiling black
woman who almost seems to be presenting the pancakes. Other small images are
found amongst the poster. There is a robin which seems to be singing on a branch
in the top right corner and a hand holding a fork that has taken a bite out of the
pancakes on the right side. There is also a small, almost separate advertisement for

for the well being of humans and has the ability to inactivate radical compounds
(Righetto and Netto, 2006). Ascorbic acid is a cofactor that is present in many
enzymatic reactions that occur during biological processes such as digestion,
absorption, anti carcinogenicity, collagen formation, cataract prevention and
detoxification (Vikram et al, 2004). Processing of fruits, into fruit juice, often
involves a form of heat treatment which reduces the nutritional (vitamin C) content
of the product (Mercali et al, 2012). Therefore, the purpose of this experiment was
to investigate how prolonged exposure to heat leads to an increased degradation of
ascorbic acid in mango juice. The juice was exposed to three treatments; 0, 3 and 5
minutes of being placed in a boiling water hot bath, and the concentration of ascorbic
acid was determined via titration with potassium iodate.

Introduction
The Canadian novel Crow Lake by Mary Lawson, published in 2002, was awarded in
Canada as First Novel Award in the same year it was published and won the
McKitterick Prize in 2003. The author Mary Lawson was born and brought up in a
small farming community in southern Ontario. After graduating from McGill
University, she moved to England in 1968. She still lives there with her husband and
sons, though she returns to Canada every year. The story took place in a small town
called Crow lake in northern Ontario. In this book Kate Morrison, the main character,
leads the reader through her journey for healing from past mistakes dealing with her
family. At the beginning, Kate who is seven, and her siblings Luke, Matt, and Bo,
experienced a tough time surviving after their parents were killed in a car crash,
which impacted them for the rest of their lives. Setting
The setting of the novel starts in Northern Ontario. This is important to the author,
Mary Lawson, because the elegance of the countryside inspired her to set her novel
setting there. When Katie Morrison grows up, the setting change to Toronto because
she wanted to become a zoologist. One of the things that led to the significance of
setting to the plot is the ponds, because they were full of Kate s memory about

Some of the strengths of Divergent are that every chapter has action, there s
always something exiting going on in the book, Tris is always doing something
fun or exiting. Tris climbs the Ferris wheel, she s the first jumper in initiation, Tris
zip lines off of a one hundred story building. Some of the weaknesses are that
sometimes in between all the excitement and action are some parts that are a little
boring or unnecessary. In one of the chapters, Tris comes out of the shower
/bathroom and Peter, Drew, and Molly where in the dormitory and Tris goes to her
bunk to get different clothes and they go on either side of her. Tris goes under
Peters arm and Peter grabs her towel and Tris runs out of the dormitory into the
shower/bathroom naked. The author is Veronica Roth and the genre of this book
