Analysis Of Ex-Husband s Wife
The wife seems to be the most capable of intimacy. Probably because she is a woman, it is easier for
her to confine. She reaches out to Robert, first, after for a year stop working for him. They
communicate mainly through tapes. It goes on for many years. Of course, the wife has other friends
too. Yet, she cannot keep contact with them for long as she had to move constantly due to her ex
husband s job. However, her blind friend Robert is a special one because they have been around
together for almost ten years. She tells Robert almost everything: her first marriage, her life, her
loneliness, etc. She even mentions about her failed suicide attempt. It is not easy for many people to
talk about the difficult moments in their life like she could. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He seems like an interval person. He carefully watches his wife and Robert, and keeps his thoughts to
himself. He loves his wife. He gets jealous when knowing Robert touched his wife s face and neck
before she quitted the job. His jealousy also presents when he talks about his wife s ex husband. He
never mentions his name Why should he have a name? He was the childhood sweetheart, and what
more does he want . He is neither as sympathy as the wife nor as open as the blind man. He is racist,
rude, and close minded. He is flawed. He has a disgust view about Robert s death wife Beulah! That s
a name for a colored woman Was his wife a Negro? (715). He does not like people with disabilities.
His concept about disability is stereotype The blind moved slowly and never laughed. Sometimes they
were led by sight seeing dog (713). He also makes himself clears that A blind man in my house is not
something I look forward to (713). The narrator is somewhere between mean and curious when having
silly comments, thoughts May be I could take him to the bowling (715) or the blind didn t smoke,
because they couldn t see the smoke they exhaled (717). He is a little bit childish to turn on the TV
while his wife and Robert are talking as he just cannot join the conversation. The narrator does not
feel comfortable to let other people understand him. Probably that is why he does not have any
friends. The narrator seems to be nervous when he has to talk to Robert all by himself I wish my wife
hadn t pooped out . When his wife falls asleep, he feels uncomfortable as he knows now he has to talk
to Robert. It can be seen that the narrator is nervous to talk to Robert, partly because of his insecure
feeling toward Robert Say my life was being threaten by an insane guy who said I had to do it or else .
It is only when the narrator participates in drawing the Cathedral with Robert, he can invade in a part
of the blind man s world, and he

Interracial Marriage Interracial marriage is a form of exogamy when two spouses that belong to
different races or even on the occasion of same sex couples. Interracial marriage became legal in all of
the U.S states in 1967. The Supreme Court decision that deemed anti miscegenation laws
unconstitutional, with many states choosing to legalize interracial marriage at much earlier dates.
Many jurisdictions have had regulations banning or restricting not just interracial marriage but also
interracial sexual relations. The United States has plenty of different racial and ethnic groups, and is
now mostly common. Mostly in the South is where you will find the most problems with it. If you go

out looking like more of one of the parents than the other. You will have to explain race to your child
before the world starts to question them. But at some point the child may be identified with one race
over the other, they may relate to one group over another due to common interests, or the fact that one
group is nicer to them than the another. But however there re pros about having a biracial child.
Having a biracial child gives them the background of two or more cultural backgrounds. They can

Who Is Responsible For The Deaths Of Romeo And Juliet
The play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a classic Elizabethan styled tragedy, with two
star crossed lovers doomed by their families long standing feud. In the play, Shakespeare constantly
outlines the theme of hate and its destructiveness, conveying a strong moral tale to the audience and
characters. Juliet s hate and resentment towards her parents became the spark that later on caused the
destructive death of Romeo, Juliet and Paris. Furthermore, the hate filled feud between the Montagues
and Capulets lead to the tragic death of Tybalt and Mercutio, causing a great deal of destructiveness.
Finally, the damage that both houses suffered at the end of the play puts forward the strong moral of
hate only destroys to the audience.

Who Is Leopold A Conservationist
Leopold starts by comparing conservationists to hunters by saying conservationists use laws and other
methods to make animals to stay put and take advantage of them, much similar to hunters.
Conservationists include those who use the land for recreational use. They are there to make money
and use the animals as properties and ways to make money. Another comparison brought up by
Leopold is between the duck hunter and the operatic singer. They are both used as a form of
entertainment and thus, self pleasure. Although both the conservationists, those who take advantage of
animals by watching or taking pictures, and hunters are similar in different ways, they disagree on
laws concerning their actions. They both use the animals for recreation and

Risk Return
a. What are investment returns? What is the return on an investment that costs $1,000 and is sold after
1 year for $1,100? Investment returns is the expectation of earning money in the future on the amount
of money invested. The return is the financial performance of the investment. The return is the
difference between the amount invested and the amount you are returned after said investment. There
are two ways to show return on investment. 1. By dollar return. Amount to be received Amount

The Mars Of The Martian
Mars Colony Essay For many years, people have envisaged a colony on Mars. Though the task may
be daunting to some, the ideas and resources needed to sustain a colony on Mars is very important.
The similarities and differences between the ideas presented will be analyzed so that the ideas that will
form the future for Earth can be used. Moreover, these ideas will also be compared and contrasted to
those from the movie, The Martian. In the Mars X colony, the government was a popular sovereignty,
in other words the people s say. The Mars X colony was established on ground rules that stated that
everyone shall be equal no matter how wealthy one may be. This can also be said for the other
colonies. In the other colonies, people were also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Hellas Planitia colony chose to bring livestock embryos and seeds. The livestock embryos could
be fertilized and the animal would be born. This would be effective because the livestock embryos
would weigh less, than the animal itself. Something else that made the Mars X colony stand by itself
was its all organic way. Unlike other colonies, that brought GMO foods or frozen food, the Mars X
colony didn t do that. The goal was to give fresh food so that the people on Mars will have a healthy
diet. Since GMO foods have chemicals, the Mars X colony didn t want any unwanted stuff in the
body. In the Martian, Mark Watney used his own feces to plant potatoes. This is similar to the Mars X
colony and others did hydroponic farming. Since human feces will have nutrients that weren t taken
into the digestive system, those nutrients will be able to help the plants grow. In hydroponic farming,
the nutrients are delivered in a water solvent so that the plants can absorb the vitamins and minerals
they need. In conclusion, both ways of obtaining food were similar. In order for all of this to happen to
happen you need energy. Though there were many similarities between how the colonies would
receive energy and the Martian, but other colonies used extra energy sources. The Hellas Planitia
colony said that they would get energy by solar panels and other means. Mostly all of the colonies
stated that they would use solar panels, because of the simplicity. Since Mars wasn t shrouded

The Effects Of Long Term Meditation Practices On The...
Abstract Substantial research has been done on the positive effects of long term meditation practices
on the promotion of cognitive functions. However, the effects of brief meditation practices have not
been as thoroughly researched. Accordingly, this study will further investigate the effects of short term
mindfulness based training (MT) on the multiple traits of attentional processing. I hypothesize that
brief MT can have similar results to that of long term practices, indicating that meta cognition can be
improved in a short period of time. This experimental study will compare a MT group, a relaxation
group, and a control group all made up of inexperienced participants on their performance of higher
order processing of attentional tasks. We predict that the MT group will do better than the other groups
on all tests administered, and that they will improve significantly compared to their previous
performance.
Key words: Meditation, Mindfulness, Meta cognition, Attention
Introduction
Many recent studies have validated that people who have practiced mindfulness based training and/or
meditation express greater cognitive flexibility. Mindfulness is a psychological state characterized by
full attention to a present experience without elaboration of thought or emotional reactivity while
focusing on the sensations of one s breath and body and maintaining relaxation. Thus, MT heightens
meta cognitive processing to an extent (Austin, 1998 as found in Zeidan, Johnson,

A reputable operator knows what to include in every casino to make sure that players have a reason to
visit every day. There are some good examples of sister Bitcoin casinos that have a unique feature or
offer which attracts many players.
Benefits of multiple casinos under one operator

Food services, industrial, personal business, retail and specific shops, state services, auto, river, and
miscellaneous were the main industries. Industrial and personal business surprisingly showed
prominence over the other eight industries New Orleans citizens operated in. Industrial employment
embodied 27.5 percent of the working population, and personal business represented 24.2 percent.
Notably, the marine industry was one of the lowest industries in district one exhibiting only 5.7
percent of the population.
An equivalent simplification process was used for the seventy distinct types of industries listed by
Pittsburgh s fifteenth census. Entertainment, water services, retail and general stores, food services,
industrial work, transportation, general and state services, and self business signified the eight main
industries. Differentiating from the theories specified, water services commanded the data pool by
comprising 27.1 percent of the census population s employment. Unexpectedly, industrial work only
comprised 17.5 percent of the population making it the third largest behind general and state services,
which housed around 21.7 percent.
While researching secondary sources on the southern area of Louisiana, I found during 1930, the state
was beginning to focus on region and structural improvement work because of desired stimulation into
the decreasing economic stability of the state. Marie

exposed to FIP don t show symptoms (Cornell). Some cats may either show mild upper respiratory
symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, and nasal discharge (Cornell). Others may show intestinal
symptoms like diarrhea (Cornell). Ultimately, only a small percentage of cats exposed to the feline
coronavirus develop FIP, and even then it may take weeks, months, or even years until symptoms are
shown (Cornell). Since there are two different types of feline infectious peritonitis, different
symptoms will be shown on the basis of whether or not the cat has wet or dry FIP. Cats that have non
effusive FIP often show signs more slowly than those with effusive. These symptoms will include
weight loss, fever that does not respond to antibiotics, depressions, and anemia (Cornell). One of the

Because the virus is new, the human population has little to no immunity against it. The virus spreads
quickly from person to person worldwide. The United States is not currently experiencing a flu
pandemic. If a pandemic occurs, the federal government will work to identify the cause and create a
vaccine. Flu.gov will provide updates on the steps the federal government is taking to address the
pandemic. Death rates may be high. Four factors largely that determine the death toll: The number of
people who become infected, the strength of the virus, the underlying characteristics and vulnerability
of affected population, the effectiveness of preventive measures. What you need in order to be able to
survive a pandemic you would really only need to be around your personal family that you live with

Teamwork And Non-Verbal Communication
Have you ever seen those adorable animated commercial that are played often in the movie theater
before the movie starts. I remember liking those commercials and considering them pretty adorable.
Although as I turned older, I realized that these simple animated cartoons shared important concepts
that you can put into your life. One of the concepts portrayed in the cartoon was teamwork. The
cartoons tended to show that if you don t work together, something will go very wrong. In real life I
find that this is reasonably true. Teamwork is important to accomplish something; the only issue is that
if you don t use teamwork, something noticeably upsetting or wrong doesn t always happen like it
portrays in the animate cartoons. Like the teamwork it portrayed in those cartoons, I learned that while
during my service. Among other communication qualities I learned teamwork. Other concepts of
communication that we, as a group, identified while doing our service project include different types
of communication, different personalities, and gender roles. I will talk about the types of
communication first, then teamwork, personality will be next, and lastly gender roles. Those aren t the
only concepts of communication, however we just decided to focus on those ones.
What scholars say on different types of communications is the book breaks communication into two
main categories with sub categories. The two main categories are non verbal communication and

Everyman And Death Essay
In The Everyman the subject is of death and when death will come. The reader follows Everyman
from a state of sin and unpreparedness through repentance to a triumphant death, his salvation assured.
In the story, Everyman has several lessons that we can learn from; death comes to everyone, death
comes when you least expect it, and lastly be prepared for death. One of the three main points of the
play was that death will come to everyone. The play notes that: I am Death, that no man dreadeth. For
everyman I rest and no man spareth, . This line states that death will pass over no one. Eventually
everyone will die and there is no one who exempt from it. In the play Everyman is scared of death
since he is unready to go because he didn t have many good deeds. Everyman offers to bribe Death so
he will wait for another day. Death declines the bribe and tells Everyman that he can not be bribe by
anyone. He doesn t passes over pope, emperor, king, duke, ne princes . Everyman learns the death will
not pass over anyone. Another main point in the play is the death will come when you least expect it.

advice from others and would be better prepared for death. Death wouldn t listen to Everyman and is

David Edmondson, on the other hand, had been an employee with RadioShack for 11 years before he
was appointed as the CEO. In an investigative report, Star Telegram revealed that Edmondson had
also falsified his résumé by stating that he had degrees in psychology and theology. Star Telegram
revealed that the Pacific Coast Baptist College did not even issue degrees in psychology, and that they
only issued a diplomas in theology. David Edmondson s name was also not found in the College
records. Edmondson contested that he remembered to have completed his diploma in theology, but he
could not support his claims. He eventually stepped down as the CEO as well. ETHICAL DILEMMA
Both Yahoo and RadioShack, had to find solution to the following questions How serious of an
offence was it for a CEO to have lied on the résumé? Should a CEO be sacked for falsification of the
résumé or should he be retained in the company on the basis that his performance as a CEO has little
bearing on his degree? Should the company also impose a sanction on the CEO? What are the
implications on the company in choosing either of these options? MODEL BASED ANALYSIS Using

model of the situation. It is clear from the case background that Scott Thompson and David
Edmondson were the active agents since they had an opportunity to make a choice, the choice of

Comparison Between Incarceration And Recidivism
Incarceration in my opinion is not a deterrent to recidivism. When someone is placed into an
environment that is surrounded by those who have committed crimes ranging from selling marijuana
to first degree murder, there is a bad recipe for change. People adapt to their surrounds and someone
for example that is in prison or jail for a minor offense may room with someone who murdered a
family. The mindset of someone selling marijuana isn t usually as immoral as someone who murdered.
If you placed a person with a little bit of morals left into an environment which none are really to be
found they will slowly lose those morals. The person adapts and beings to feel as though it is normal
to think and feel a specific way. A study done by the Department

The Invasion Of Japan Into China
The Japanese and Chinese have always had disputes with one another, and one of the biggest reasons
for the Chinese and Japanese hating each other is the Invasion of Japan into China. It began with
Japan invading and occupying Manchuria causing the hatred between the two countries to grow
immensely.
According to the New World encyclopedia, what made matter worse, was that China was at war with
itself, the war was between the Chinese Nationalist Party and the Chinese Communist Party. Sun Yat
sen dies in 1925, soon after, commander in chief Chiang Kai Shek of the National Army set out on an
expedition to the North. This expedition was an effort to exterminate the commanders of the war and
as well as feudalism. However, when a year passes, in 1926, the Nationalist Party had divided into left
and right factions where communism had begun to grow from the inside out. After many disputes, on
April 7, 1927, Chiang and other nationalist had decided to hold a meeting where they had decided the
communist were being socially and economically disruptive. They would then join together in order to
suppress them and keep the national revolution ongoing. Hence on April 12, Nationalist leader Chiang

Essay On Anthem
Ideologies are meant to be shared and learned throughout a society to encourage the spread as well as
competition of ideas. Through Anthem, Ayn Rand warned of the dangers of blindly and
unquestionably following an ideology; the dangers to society that unexamined loyalty to a belief
system cause to society are upholding oppressive and dehumanizing morals, decreased quality of life
and the government taking advantage of their citizens
Corrupt governments, such a the one in Anthem, use laws and its citizens ignorance to dehumanize
them thus detaching them from their senses of identity. One way in which the government influences
identity is through education. As Equality quotes his teachers in his journal to describe men s place in

It is not good to feel too much joy nor to be glad that our body lives. For we matter not and it must not
matter to us whether we live or die, which is to be as our brothers will it. But we, Equality 7 2521, are
glad to be living. If this is a vice, then we wish no virtue. (Rand 11)
The citizens of Anthem are not happy and until society changes, they can never be. Quality of life is
having something to live for and human condition is actively looking for it for yourself. In Anthem,
government tells the citizens what to believe and how to think, making it impossible for them to have
an authentic quality of life. The government taught them that their lives are disposable and do not have
much value. This decreases of life because these people cannot achieve true happiness due to the
ideologies they follow unquestionably and trust. They do not have anything to live for save existence
itself and they do not understand how much they are affected by that. Decreasing quality of life
because of blind beliefs in a society s ideologies is just as bad as these people being taken advantage
of by their system of government.
The citizens of Anthem are consistently being used by the government because they choose to
ignorantly believe their society s opinions. At the end of the story when Equality tries to analyze why
his society is so corrupted, he summarizes his thoughts by writing What is freedom? Freedom from
what? There is nothing to take a man s

The Cold Blood By Truman Capote
In Cold Blood
Do you think that every crime has to be breathtaking to attract readers` attention? Not at all. In Cold
Blood is a non fiction novel of 1967 by Truman Capote, where a life story of the Clutter family is told.
Exactly this story of crime can make you a philosopher while reading, you will definitely think over
the tragedy and the meaning of life. The Clutters met a lot of difficulties on their way to find
happiness, but were murdered because of no reason. The police was baffled, as there were no
evidences or even suspect, so when they found Bobby Rupp, he automatically became suspected until
he did not pass the polygraph test. The officers are disappointed, as no connections between the
murdered family and strange individuals, who could be involved in committing a crime, were found.
Finally, one of the prisoners confessed and took his friends to the authorities. Men committed the
crime following no purpose, so when they were caught, their behavior seemed to be the behavior of
frightened sheep: they did not know what to do and how to manage the situation. However, I was
disappointed in the reading as it was too long, did not answer all the questions, and is hard to
understand.
The author made the novel too long and filled it with much information that I find unneeded. The
author spent some years gathering information about committing crimes and looking for suitable
background for a story. Truman Capote did a real research to be prepared to write about this

The Tunnel And What You Pawn I Will Redeem
The main characters in the stories Through the Tunnel and What You Pawn I Will Redeem both have
their mind set on determination. In the story Through the Tunnel, Jerry, the young English boy, sees a
group of boys diving and calls them men and wants to be like them. The tunnel they swim through is
the symbol in the story used to describe his transition to manhood. In What You Pawn I Will Redeem,
Jackson found his grandmother s stolen regalia that had one yellow bead sewed on it that represented a
flaw. The yellow bead is the symbol in this story representing Jackson as a flaw in life. He was

A Doll s House Review Essay
A Doll s House Review A Doll s House was published in Norway in 1879 by Henrik Isben. He is
known as the father of Modern Theatre. He is also referred as the father of realism. The play is very
interesting because of the funny dialogue, the unique characters, and Ibsen s view of the place of
ladies in the public eye. The main characters of the play is Nora Helmer and her husband Torvald
Helmer. Imagine what it would be like to live in a doll s home? It s a house in which you are
controlled and have no energy to settle on any solid choice; It s a house in which you are a play thing
for another person s amusement. This sounds a ton like an awful marriage, so it s a house in which
your husband holds the satchel strings, in a manner of speaking, and abandons you with no influence
over your family s accounts. In fact, your husband keeps you on a tightrope. Such is the perceived life
of Nora Helmer. A Doll s House is an example of a literacy work with numeral possible themes. The
idea of the play is an expression of the need for women to escape from the confinement and restriction
that they faced in nineteenth century European society, it is supported by the condescending manner in
which Torvald treats Nora and by his frequent references to the respective value of men and women.
Another theme is in order for a marriage to be successful, the people involved should know and trust

2.2 Relationship of Critical Thinking with Education Socrates (25 hundreds years ago) found students
inability in justifying their beliefs with rational judgment (Paul 2). Stonewater (33 57) pointed out that
in 1980 s teaching of critical thinking skill for college students developed rapidly. Teaching of critical
thinking skill in education has a controversial issue whether it should be taught as a separate subject or
part of curriculum (Adams and Hamm 38). In this context, Norris (1 2) stated that critical thinking
should be taught as a separate subject while Ruggiero ( 413) and McPeck (13, 34) argued that teaching
of critical thinking must be part of all disciplines. In any case, critical thinking can be taught with
different subjects rather than an autonomous skill. Thus, critical thinking suggests an inclination to use

Lady Macbeth Is Evil
We all have regrets. Sometimes, there is a certain someone that lead us to this bad decision. In William
Shakespeare s, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, wife of noble warrior Macbeth, has indirectly influenced
nearly every cruel decision made thus far in the story. Whether it is killing a beloved king, or framing
an innocent person for the bloody crime, Lady Macbeth is behind everything. Lady Macbeth is a
ruthless and manipulative woman because she pressures her loved ones to commit horrible crimes,

Along killing a generous man and forcing her husband to commit a violent crime, she is also willing to
ruin the lives of countless other innocent people. Throughout the entire assassination plot she wanted
to pin the murder on two guards. First, she got both guards so drunk that they would pass out and
Macbeth would be able to slip into Duncan s room without being noticed. Then, she stole their
daggers so they could be used as the murder weapon. Finally, she wanted to wipe Duncan s blood on

Essay about Tobias Wolff s; The Rich Brother
Tobias Wolff s short story, The Rich Brother , is a parallel story to the biblical fable of Able and Cain.
The biblical story of Able and Cain is that of the first story that puts man against man. Cain and Able
are children of Adam and Eve, where Cain is the eldest and Able the younger of the two. In the
biblical story Cain and Able end up giving gifts (sacrifices) to appease to their God. This in turn,
creates tension between the two because Able s sacrifice of the lamb is much favored by God than is
Cain s offering of his crops. Cain becomes outraged because he believes that Able has purposely tried

Wolff portrays Peter and Donald as rivals throughout The Rich Brother as were Cain and Able were in
the Bible. Cain and Abel s rival rivalry came to when god had favored Abel s gift of the lamb. With
favor came God s overwhelming love which Cain had exclusively desired. Peter, much like Cain,
came to a bitter rivalry with his brother Donald in that Peter wanted all the love that him mother gave
that he felt Donald was eating up. For example, when Donald had his surgery his mother protested
him even to climb trees and so on because she loved and cared for her son this enraged his brother
Pete because he didn t receive as much attention as his little brother did. Pete later states his jealousy
when he replies to Donald s accusation of trying to kill him and says mom was in a state every time
you burped (812). While it be Pete or Cain their bitterness towards their brothers are only fueled by
their own jealousies.
Mostly, throughout The Rich Brother Peter is viewed as the most selfish individual. Most important,
was that he wanted his mothers love so badly that he attempted to kill his own brother (812), which is
a reference to Cain killing his brother and leaving him in the fields. Donald says to Pete You re
basically a very frightened individual. Very threatened (811) this in turn shows that how jealous Pete
was and how he was willing to kill simply over jealousy. Moreover, Pete could not stand the fact that

This essay will explore how I would teach a group of 10 first grade students to count rationally to 15
assuming that all of them are already able to count rationally to 10. I shall explain how I would ensure
that students understand each of the four rational counting principles of one to one correspondence,
the stable order rule, the order irrelevance rule, and the cardinality rule. I shall present an assessment I
would use to evaluate student mastery of rational counting to 15. Finally, I shall discuss how I would

6) The final step in establishing the Stable Order Rule will be to repeat each step of this process
starting from the number 1 all the way to 15.
One to One Correspondence would be the next counting principle I would address in the following
manner:
1) I would place 15 dotes on the white board in an evenly spaced horizontal pattern.
2) I would explain to students that it is important to count each dot only once and by touching,
marking, or moving an item as it is being counted will help the person counting not miss an item or
count the same item twice by establishing one to one correspondence.
3) I would verbally model count the dots from left to right pointing to and touching each one as I said
it following the stable order rule.
7) I would then ask students to repeat after me as I slowly count and say each one from one all the
way to 15. This process will be repeated several times until I formatively assess all 10 students are
confidently restating each number name including the new ones.
8) I would then have students count chorally without my modeling as I point to each dot along the line

John Locke s First Treatise Of Government
In John Locke s Second Treatise of Government, he brings up the idea of property, which he defines
as one of the Natural Rights that a person has. To Locke, he explains how property is something given
from God. He also explains how the people should have a right to property in the State of Nature as
well as in Political Society. Locke also recognizes that there are limitations to the amount of property
available and takes note of this in his text. Lastly, he finds a kind of solution to the limitations in the
forms of a money economy and Political Society. This thesis will argue that property is the main
concept in the creation of all of Locke s political thought, since he bases a large amount of emphasis
on how important it is, while also focusing on the common good and how the people are the ones that
should make changes. To fully understand what Locke is claiming, the idea of Natural Rights must
first be defined. In the Second Treatise, these rights are those that everyone is born with, in the State
of Nature. The State of Nature, which is a place of perfect freedom, a man is naturally equal,
reasonable, and free. This state is also protected by the Law of Nature which enforces that all [are]
equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his Life, Health, Liberty, or Possessions (6.9).
The rights of men are protected under the Law of Nature. Locke repeats these rights many times
throughout his text, and elaborates more on each time. For example, in the later

The Slowdown Of Global Warming
The Slowdown of Global Warming The recent decrease in the heating percentage of the Northern
Hemisphere could be a consequence of internal variability of the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation a
natural phenomenon associated with ocean surface temperatures, according to Penn State
investigators. Some researchers have in the past attributed a portion of Northern Hemispheric
warming to a warm phase of the AMO, said Michael E. Mann, Distinguished Professor of
Meteorology. The true AMO signal, instead, appears likely to have been in a cooling phase in recent
decades, offsetting some of the anthropogenic warming temporarily. (Michael E. Mann, April 7, 2014)

Because the scientists know the actual AMO signal for their artificial statistics from the start, they
could show that the differenced AMO accession allowed the right signal. They also approved the

Michael and his partners also took a separate path in concluding the AMO, which they report online in
a special Frontier paper in Geophysical Research Letters. They contrast analyzation temperature
diversity with a number of historic model reproductions to make a copy for internal variability of the
AMO that depletes the impact of outer forcing, involving greenhouse gases and aerosols. They call
this the differenced AMO due to the internal variability comes from the difference between analysis
and the models estimates of the forced component of North Atlantic temperature variation. They saw
that their conclusions for the latest decade fall within expected multidecadal variability. The detrended
approach manufactured an AMO signal with a higher amplitude, both high and low crests were greater
than in the differenced AMO signal and in the artificial data. They also found that the crests and
troughs of the oscillation were misrepresented using the detrending accession, making the maximums
and minimums to form at separate times than in the differenced AMO reactions. While the detrended

Essay On Boeing
Executive Summary
In fierce competition with Boeing, venture into VLA segment as a rather neglected segment by Boeing
could pose as a strategic opportunity for Airbus which it could utilize to build a competitive advantage
combined with its technological resources and capabilities. However, its assumptions of a drastic
increase in VLAs demanded in next 20 years along with its ability to satisfy most of this are too
optimistic. Provided that these assumptions (inc. breakeven points, initial order requirements) are
normalized, A3XX is a project worthy to pursue for Airbus in order to exploit a neglected spot on the
perceptional map long haul + big capacity. When we hold the market itself continues to grow as
proposed in the case, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We don t have a market risk premium value at hand for aviation sector but even if it is 15% the rate of
return Airbus presumes then 3.9% + 0.84X(15 3.9) = 13.2. So the project seems feasible. However,
when we apply the operating margin of 15% 20% as the source of cash flow per plane, we see that
from 288 to 385 planes would be needed for a breakeven to compensate investment costs. If we also
take into consideration of the fact that these payments will not be made all in the first year, each cash
flow will need to be discounted based on real interest rate (3.9%) and the year in question. We can
easily say, if the plane price is not appropriated accordingly each year, the breakeven point will go
even farther away from what Airbus imagined.
As for competition, Boeing had built approximately 85% of the industry s current fleet, which
indicates the high experience and brand awareness of Boeing in the industry, which is a competitive
advantage in terms of strong service level. 747 400 is the only model that can be seen as an alternative
to the new Airbus VLA models. Boeing s 747 launch case indicates that this kind of decision to make
for Airbus should based on long term projections. It can be seen as unnecessary for the

Examples Of Deviance In The Office
The Office is a comedic mockumentary that takes place in Scranton, Pennsylvania and focuses on the
lives of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company Inc. employees over the course of nine years. It has many
characters, but mainly centers around Michael Scott, the regional manager, Dwight Schrute, Jim
Halpert (both salesman) and Pam Beesly, the receptionist. Over its nine seasons, the show has
displayed many sociological concepts, but has the most examples of deviance, sex and gender,
socialization and social interaction and groups and organization. Deviance in The Office is displayed
mainly through one of its minor characters, Creed Bratton. While he appears to be a normal person, he
often reveals things that are incriminating and is defined by his deviance ... Show more content on

In the episode Gay Witch Hunt , one of Dunder Mifflin s employees, Oscar Martinez, is outed by the
regional manager, Michael Scott, to all his employees. After he does this, Oscar has to deal with the
repercussions of being gay in the workplace, some of which include dealing with homophobic
questions and attitudes towards him, especially from his more conservative co worker, Angela Martin.
Later in the show, Angela gets married to the senator of Scranton, and has a baby that, is later revealed
in the episode Jury Duty , conceived out of wedlock. The baby doesn t end up being the senator s at
all, but is instead another Dunder Mifflin employees , Dwight Schrute, after the two had an affair.
Lastly, sexism in the workplace, especially in the episode Back from Vacation , is shown to be a fairly
large issue. Michael Scott spreads around a picture of Jan Levinson, the vice president of sales and his
unofficial girlfriend, from their vacation in Jamaica in which she is nearly naked. He does this without
her approval, and it s spread to everybody in both the office and to the warehouse, and eventually
makes its way into the higher management

The Yolk Sac And Its Effects On The Human Bodies
375 million years ago, a fish like creature crawled onto the land. This transition into an existence on
dry terrain gave rise to amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and finally to humans. As early reptiles
colonized in adverse new environments, they adapted features to help them survive during their
struggles for food and territory. Our reptilian ancestors were changing their bodies and these new
features are evident in our human bodies today. One of these features that link us to our reptilian
ancestors is the yolk sac which is evident in the human embryo as well as the eggs of reptiles. As
reptiles adapted to life on a dry earth, they needed to keep their eggs from drying out an so evolved a
new type of egg which enclosed the embryos in an amnion filled sac and covered it with a hard shell.
Reptiles and humans both carry the yolk gene but it is no longer functional in humans as we evolved
and no longer needed yolk to feed our embryos. But those broken yolk genes are still in our genome
and link us to these ancient egg laying animals. Skin is another important feature that connects us to
reptiles. In order to withstand the dry air on land, reptiles developed layers of dead skin to insulate
them and create a water tight barrier. Humans have inherited these same layers of dead skin to prevent
our bodies from drying out. Our skin not only protects our bodies but it is responsible for other
features which we share with our reptilian ancestors; important structures that originate

  • 8. The Effects Of Long Term Meditation Practices On The... Abstract Substantial research has been done on the positive effects of long term meditation practices on the promotion of cognitive functions. However, the effects of brief meditation practices have not been as thoroughly researched. Accordingly, this study will further investigate the effects of short term mindfulness based training (MT) on the multiple traits of attentional processing. I hypothesize that brief MT can have similar results to that of long term practices, indicating that meta cognition can be improved in a short period of time. This experimental study will compare a MT group, a relaxation group, and a control group all made up of inexperienced participants on their performance of higher order processing of attentional tasks. We predict that the MT group will do better than the other groups on all tests administered, and that they will improve significantly compared to their previous performance. Key words: Meditation, Mindfulness, Meta cognition, Attention Introduction Many recent studies have validated that people who have practiced mindfulness based training and/or meditation express greater cognitive flexibility. Mindfulness is a psychological state characterized by full attention to a present experience without elaboration of thought or emotional reactivity while focusing on the sensations of one s breath and body and maintaining relaxation. Thus, MT heightens meta cognitive processing to an extent (Austin, 1998 as found in Zeidan, Johnson, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Cold Blood is a non fiction novel of 1967 by Truman Capote, where a life story of the Clutter family is told. Exactly this story of crime can make you a philosopher while reading, you will definitely think over the tragedy and the meaning of life. The Clutters met a lot of difficulties on their way to find happiness, but were murdered because of no reason. The police was baffled, as there were no evidences or even suspect, so when they found Bobby Rupp, he automatically became suspected until he did not pass the polygraph test. The officers are disappointed, as no connections between the murdered family and strange individuals, who could be involved in committing a crime, were found. Finally, one of the prisoners confessed and took his friends to the authorities. Men committed the crime following no purpose, so when they were caught, their behavior seemed to be the behavior of frightened sheep: they did not know what to do and how to manage the situation. However, I was disappointed in the reading as it was too long, did not answer all the questions, and is hard to understand. To Locke, he explains how property is something given from God. He also explains how the people should have a right to property in the State of Nature as well as in Political Society. Locke also recognizes that there are limitations to the amount of property available and takes note of this in his text. Lastly, he finds a kind of solution to the limitations in the forms of a money economy and Political Society. This thesis will argue that property is the main concept in the creation of all of Locke s political thought, since he bases a large amount of emphasis on how important it is, while also focusing on the common good and how the people are the ones that should make changes. To fully understand what Locke is claiming, the idea of Natural Rights must first be defined. In the Second Treatise, these rights are those that everyone is born with, in the State of Nature. However, when we apply the operating margin of 15% 20% as the source of cash flow per plane, we see that from 288 to 385 planes would be needed for a breakeven to compensate investment costs. If we also take into consideration of the fact that these payments will not be made all in the first year, each cash flow will need to be discounted based on real interest rate (3.9%) and the year in question. Michael Scott spreads around a picture of Jan Levinson, the vice president of sales and his unofficial girlfriend, from their vacation in Jamaica in which she is nearly naked. • 45. The Yolk Sac And Its Effects On The Human Bodies 375 million years ago, a fish like creature crawled onto the land. This transition into an existence on dry terrain gave rise to amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and finally to humans. As early reptiles colonized in adverse new environments, they adapted features to help them survive during their struggles for food and territory. Our reptilian ancestors were changing their bodies and these new features are evident in our human bodies today. One of these features that link us to our reptilian ancestors is the yolk sac which is evident in the human embryo as well as the eggs of reptiles. As reptiles adapted to life on a dry earth, they needed to keep their eggs from drying out an so evolved a new type of egg which enclosed the embryos in an amnion filled sac and covered it with a hard shell. Reptiles and humans both carry the yolk gene but it is no longer functional in humans as we evolved and no longer needed yolk to feed our embryos. But those broken yolk genes are still in our genome and link us to these ancient egg laying animals. Skin is another important feature that connects us to reptiles. In order to withstand the dry air on land, reptiles developed layers of dead skin to insulate them and create a water tight barrier. Humans have inherited these same layers of dead skin to prevent our bodies from drying out. Our skin not only protects our bodies but it is responsible for other features which we share with our reptilian ancestors; important structures that originate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
