Age – 15 to 24 years old.
This is due to all of the main
characters being in this age
range. Not only that but the
themes and activities done are
more relatable to this age
range.
Gender – Predominantly Female.
This is because two of the main
characters are female so they will be
more relatable for a female audience.
However males would also enjoy the
film as there is a male lead and the
female characters could induce male
gaze.
Socio-Economic Group – C2.
My target audience is likely to be living
at home or at university with a part-
time job. However as this is based off of
their parent earnings there would be
average income in the home.
Psychographic Group – Explorer.
Younger audiences are more likely to
try new forms of media as they are
more open minded and would be more
likely to see a new film if it appeals to
them.
Demographic Location – UK.
Due to the settings and actors fro our
idea being based in the UK, it is more
likely to be directed at a UK audience
as they may recognise the locations and
understand references made.
Lifestyle – Student.
Due to the age range of our target
audience it is more than likely that they
would be a student or a new worker.
Interests – Music,
Socialising, Friends,
Outings.
Due to the social nature of my
target audience these would
be the main interests which
will be reference in my
production.
Other Films they may like:
• If I Stay
• Now is Good
• The Fault in our Stars
• Death of a Superhero
Sexuality – Heterosexual.
This is because the main relationship in
the film (if any) will be heterosexually
orientated. This however doesn’t dismiss
other sexualities as there will be no
offensive natures towards these people or
anything that will put them off.
Media Preference – Social Media,
Cinema, Online streaming.
Due to the age range of my target
audience, it is more likely that they would
go out and see products in a more social
way such as the cinema or online as it is a
common past-time for younger people.
Product Preference – Popular brands
such as apple. I will try and incorporate
these brands in my film.
Likes – Socialising, The Internet,
Romance, Cliché storylines, Books.
These are quite common likes for the
target audience and many of these would
be featured in my production.
Dislikes – Gore, Horror, Violence,
Action.
Due to the genre of my production, it is
very unlikely that these will be featured.
They will like these films because they
have similar themes to our idea and also
have similarly aged characters to both
ours and our target audience.

Audience profile A2

  • 1. Age – 15 to 24 years old. This is due to all of the main characters being in this age range. Not only that but the themes and activities done are more relatable to this age range. Gender – Predominantly Female. This is because two of the main characters are female so they will be more relatable for a female audience. However males would also enjoy the film as there is a male lead and the female characters could induce male gaze. Socio-Economic Group – C2. My target audience is likely to be living at home or at university with a part- time job. However as this is based off of their parent earnings there would be average income in the home. Psychographic Group – Explorer. Younger audiences are more likely to try new forms of media as they are more open minded and would be more likely to see a new film if it appeals to them. Demographic Location – UK. Due to the settings and actors fro our idea being based in the UK, it is more likely to be directed at a UK audience as they may recognise the locations and understand references made. Lifestyle – Student. Due to the age range of our target audience it is more than likely that they would be a student or a new worker. Interests – Music, Socialising, Friends, Outings. Due to the social nature of my target audience these would be the main interests which will be reference in my production. Other Films they may like: • If I Stay • Now is Good • The Fault in our Stars • Death of a Superhero Sexuality – Heterosexual. This is because the main relationship in the film (if any) will be heterosexually orientated. This however doesn’t dismiss other sexualities as there will be no offensive natures towards these people or anything that will put them off. Media Preference – Social Media, Cinema, Online streaming. Due to the age range of my target audience, it is more likely that they would go out and see products in a more social way such as the cinema or online as it is a common past-time for younger people. Product Preference – Popular brands such as apple. I will try and incorporate these brands in my film. Likes – Socialising, The Internet, Romance, Cliché storylines, Books. These are quite common likes for the target audience and many of these would be featured in my production. Dislikes – Gore, Horror, Violence, Action. Due to the genre of my production, it is very unlikely that these will be featured. They will like these films because they have similar themes to our idea and also have similarly aged characters to both ours and our target audience.
