2. This graph shows the amount of females and males we handed out our questionnaire to, we distributed it equally to get a roughly accurate result.
3. One of the questions read; How old are you? This was used to find out what our target audience thought, we targeted those who looked like they fit our age range and the results shows that we succeeded in stretching across our age range.
4. We asked what ethnicity our participants were, this was to see whether their ethnic background had an effect on what type of films they liked etc. I feel this question could have been used better in order to find out more about the person as it is unclear whether their ethnicity did play a part in their film choice. The results show that those who we targeted was those of a black/black afro-caribbean background.
5. We asked how often the individuals visited the cinemas, we found that majority of this age group visited the cinemas sometimes, thought this can not be generalised as it is a small scale sample.
6. The participants were asked how they prefer to watch films and we found that majority of the group would rather go to their local cinemas than visiting the west-end cinemas etc.
7. Due to the age group we were questioning we was interested in how much they would spend to watch a movie as many of the participants were students, the graph shows that majority would spend £6-£10 on a film.
8. We were interested in what genre the participants were interested in as this could help us either in modifying ideas or changing them completely to fit the audiences wants and needs. We found that their was a high level of interest in horror amongst males in comparison to females although they both was equally interested in comedies.
9. We asked how the group finds out about new products as this would help with the distribution of information to our target audience. We found that majority males find out about new products through social networking sites in comparison to females where they find out through magazines and television (other).
10. Similarly, asking this question “which film type do you prefer” allows us to judge whether our initial idea is good enough and gives us a chance to change things, we found that amongst this group low budget films with unusual plot-lines was most commonly liked.
11. We asked whether a film on gang violence would be watch as our initial idea focuses on gang violence, we found that the majority would watch a gang related film.
