Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 1. Do you think the editing of the music video fits in with the indie music genre? • A majority of the people who answered my survey believed that the editing in the music video I produced fits in with the indie music genre, only 2.5% believed it did not. The statistics suggests the video has the right impact I was hoping for with the target audience in sense that they associate it with the correct music genre.
- 2. Do you think the visuals in the video corresponds with the lyrics well? • 84.6% of the respondents answered ‘Yes’to this question, therefore over three quarters of the intended audience. Indicating that I chose the cinematography well so my target audience enjoy the video.
- 3. How well do you think the actors' appearance (make- up, hair, clothing) fits in with an indie music video? (1 being very well and 5 being not at all) • The average rating for my video was 2 (with one being very well). 32.5% of my audience rated it 1 and another 32.5% rated it 3, whereas 17.5% rated it 2. The fact that my video was an overall average rating of 2 suggets that I used the correct mise-en-scene. However if I was to start again I would change the outfit that both actors wore.
- 4. Would you make any changes to the music video itself? (editing, actors, locations, ect.) • I asked this question to gain audience feedback on where I could have improved my product. 77% of the respondents said they wouldn’t make any changes to the final product. However 23% said they would make changes. Some of the changes suggested about the actor in the chorus being more ‘lively’, I was originally going to change but due to technical issues with my editing software I was unable to make the changes. This obviously made a difference to the audience as they noticed it. Other suggestions included changes to the location (using different locations) as some target audience believed that the changes would fit better with the genre.
- 5. What do you like most about the music video? Some responses I got from my target audience included: With a variety of different things being positive it shows that my target audience enjoys my video and it therefore fits in with the indie genre.
