8. Do you think shooting most of my scenes on location rather
than in the studio has created a certain atmosphere? If so, what
kind of atmosphere?
Question 1
• Most importantly: did you like the video?
  Did it keep your interest?

I was very pleased to find that all 12 of my
  feedback came through positively.
Everyone answered YES to both so I was
  very happy!
Question 2
• Do you think the video breaks from typical
conventions or not? Why is this?

This question had mixed feelings from the
feedback. People were swayed more by the fact
that my video breaks from the typical
conventions. The only thing said was the fact
that there was a woman protagonist and that
there was faced paced editing used: typical of
  music videos.
Question 3
• Does anything in my video stand out for you? If
  yes, please note 2 elements.

I was happy with the feedback from this question.
People appreciated the ‘black hand scenes’ and
the focus on the eyes. Some people mentioned
the reversing of the running through the woods
and the pouring of the water. Others identified
with the instrumental dancing intervals with the
UV paint used on the dancers and the use of
   costume.
Question 4
• Is mise en scene effectively used? If yes, how?

The feedback was that they thought the costume
appealed to the artist and fit well into the genre
of the song. The feedback for this question was
very positive: they knew the genre intended and
could identify with the setting and use of props
such as the blood which was mentioned in one
  of the questionnaire sheets.
Question 5
• Would you consider watching this video again?

This question was positive all round. The audience
said that there was a lot of shots and scenes to
keep them entertained: also I got the impression
that they would have liked to have seen more of
the tracking down the lane shots as that proved
popular. Whilst everyone said yes: I was happy
that some people commented further on WHY.
Question 6
• Do you think I could have changed/added
anything to the video to improve it?

Most of the audience couldn’t think of anything I
could have added. The people who did
mentioned the fact that I haven’t focused the
video in the studio as much as on location. I
completely understand this but my idea was to
create a video that stands out and doesn’t follow
 with the typical conventions.
Question 7
• Did the pace of the music match the pace of the
  video?

The audience overall were impressed with this
question. Some mentioned the part when my
dancer moves in the studio exactly to the beat of
the music, others mentioned how much they
liked how the music matched the reversal of the
‘coat drop’ on the location shot.
Question 8
• Do you think shooting most of my scenes on
location rather than in the studio has created a
certain atmosphere? If so, what kind of an
  atmosphere?

This last question was answered desirably. The
majority of the audience said that the choice of
the location of the shots made the video look
scary and gothic which was my intention. They
said that the atmosphere of the on location shots
make the video look more realistic which also
adds to the fright and overall creepy feel of the
  video.
My Opinion
Looking back at the audience feedback, I
feel very positive and satisfied with the
way my video has come together and how
it has been conveyed to the audience.
Everything that I had traditionally intended
has been picked up by my audience and
the reactions of the audience to all the
elements in the video has been a
  successful one. 
