Assure Assignment: Tuesday
A- Analyze Learners
3rd
grade social studies class, middle to lower income, in a public school system. Students are
of 75% White, 20% Black, and 5% Hispanic. Approximately 25 students, 15 male, 10 female.
S- State Objectives
Students will become aware of who is responsible for some of their every used items, how they
developed these, and the outcomes of these inventions through PowerPoints, YouTube videos,
web quest, and blogs by the end of the week with 100% accuracy.
S- Select Methods, Media, and Materials
Method: A lot of in group activity, learning this as a collaborative group. This will give the students
a chance to share ideas and thoughts
Media: PowerPoint, Desktop Publishing,
Materials: Computer with Internet access
U- Utilize Methods, Media, and Materials
Students will be required to stay in groups, and search for 2 credible sites that tell a brief summary
of Alexander Graham Bell. After finding them they will be asked to take a snip of the websites home
page, and submit it online along with the link attached. Then they will be asked to answer a set of
question from the PowerPoint presentation presented before their research.
R- Require Learner Participation
having each student answer the set of questions will be the participation for this day.
E- Evaluate and Revise
Reading the response to the set questions will let me evaluate the students understanding on what
they had learned today. I will be revising all answers and giving the questions back to the student to
let the see their mistakes.
