1. Assure Assignment: Thursday
A- Analyze Learners
3rd
grade social studies class, middle to lower income, in a public school system. Students are
of 75% White, 20% Black, and 5% Hispanic. Approximately 25 students, 15 male, 10 female.
S- State Objectives
Students will become aware of who is responsible for some of their every used items, how they
developed these, and the outcomes of these inventions through PowerPoints, YouTube videos,
web quest, and blogs by the end of the week with 100% accuracy.
S- Select Methods, Media, and Materials
Method: Today will be more individual day. It will let the student’s creativity flare as they get to
use Photoshop
Media: PowerPoint, Photoshop, QR (Quick Response)
Materials: Computer with Internet access, Photoshop CS6, Microsoft PowerPoint.
U- Utilize Methods, Media, and Materials
Using PowerPoint it will help the students have better knowledge of Henry Ford and what he
accomplished. Then we will go to Photoshop, and take a lot of time doing that. Tutorials will be on
hand for them to use because it will get tricky. Lastly they will do a web search and find a video or
web site that they want to share with the class, but they will put it in a QR Code.
R- Require Learner Participation
seeing the students take on task with Photoshop will allow me to see who is partaking in the
activities. Also seeing if the students linked the QR to a website will show that as well
E- Evaluate and Revise
viewing the students’ progress with Photoshop will be the best way to evaluate their progress. It will let
me see how creative they can be. To revise it I will only add advice to what else they might be able to do
with their picture.
