This document outlines the lesson plan for teaching a 5th grade class about the Industrial Revolution. The class has 20 students from a variety of racial backgrounds and 3 students have IEPs. The objectives are for students to summarize the main ideas of the Industrial Revolution, discuss child labor, and list 5 significant changes from the era with 98% accuracy. Students will work in groups to create posters about inventions and present them to the class. They will also complete a web quest worksheet and write blog reflections on the project and key impacts of the Industrial Revolution. The teacher will evaluate students based on their participation, poster work, web quest completion, and blog reflections.
