1.
2. We roughly had about two weeks to plan our idea and agree upon which ideas were the
best and what we could do to fit it all in. We all had different ideas but we eventually ended
up agreeing on one which was inspired from an American hit TV show called ‘Suits’. We
started with an initial brainstorm of what scenes we wanted to include and we made sure
we didn’t copy all the scenes but instead we changed some elements throughout our task
with our own unique individual ideas to help our scenes. We planned it well as we all had a
brief impression of what we all wanted to achieve. We all worked together and brought in
different ideas to the table. We all had different roles to do for example I was in charge of
the Mise-en scene of the task whereas Amriul looked at the soundtrack of the task and
Shaila and Mukthar looking at the post production of the task.
After we finished our idea we then planned what scenes we wanted to do first and we
started to focus on the filming and editing. We started filming as soon as we finished our
rough script of the work and we all cooperated well when it came to the filming part as we
were all organised and we knew what we had to do.
3. We all contributed together on what ideas we all had as everyone had a different idea to the
other but when we all discussed among each other what idea we should go for, we all
agreed on the one which was inspired from the hit TV show called ‘Suits’. We all liked the
idea of the show so we decided to use our creativity and change up some of the scenes so
it’s not all like the actual show. We also got influenced by a lot of movies which involved a
variety of themes such as thriller, comedy, drama and we all wanted different themes but
then we all agreed on combining these themes into one, making our proposal a mix of
different genres.
4. It was an effective method because it allowed all of us to contribute and share our ideas.
For example in my group we all had different ideas so we discussed our options and agreed
as a group which idea we preferred and each member all had a say for instance, one
member did not like one idea so we discussed it as a group and changed what was needed
and we was all happy with it. This made it easier for us because it gave us a clear set of
mind of what we wanted to achieve and no one complained as everyone spoke freely if
there was a problem with the choice which reduced conflict and made each group member
feel like a part of the team.
5. Our product actually met the original proposal very well because at first I thought it
wouldn’t really match the expectations, but as I said earlier I didn’t want to copy exactly the
scenes of the TV show but then it all clicked from the beginning to the end as we all felt
that we changed the elements really well. From the very steps of filming the first scene and
last we all had the same idea in our head of how we wanted to perfect each scene. For
example if someone had a problem and wanted to shoot again, we all allowed that to
happen and we all felt as if the scenes were actually meeting our expectations.
However the original idea focused more on the two protagonists called ‘Harvey’ and ‘Mike’,
even though we wanted to keep the idea of portraying these two characters we conversely
focused more on adding different characters to the plot which brought in our own creative
ideas. While our original proposal had comedy scenes in it, we added more tense and
drama to it which we also agreed upon on. So overall I am pretty satisficed that the product
did meet the original proposal because that was our aim from the beginning and we
achieved it.
