This document discusses using artificial neural networks for short-term load forecasting. It compares the performance of two training algorithms - Multiple Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Least Mean Square (LMS). When MLP was used, the mean absolute percent error was 11.424%. When LMS was used, the error rate decreased and the mean absolute percent error improved to 2.64%, showing more accurate forecasting results. In conclusion, artificial neural networks are useful for short-term load forecasting and the LMS algorithm produced more promising results compared to MLP.
Novel approach for hybrid MAC scheme for balanced energy and transmission in ...IJECEIAES
Hybrid medium access control (MAC) scheme is one of the prominent mechanisms to offer energy efficiency in wireless sensor network where the potential features for both contention-based and schedule-based approaches are mechanized. However, the review of existing hybrid MAC scheme shows many loopholes where mainly it is observed that there is too much inclusion of time-slotting or else there is an inclusion of sophisticated mechanism not meant for offering flexibility to sensor node towards extending its services for upcoming applications of it. Therefore, this manuscript introduces a novel hybrid MAC scheme which is meant for offering cost effective and simplified scheduling operation in order to balance the performance of energy efficiency along with data aggregation performance. The simulated outcome of the study shows that proposed system offers better energy consumption, better throughput, reduced memory consumption, and faster processing in contrast to existing hybrid MAC protocols.
The paper presents a technique called as Mobility-enabled Multi Level Optimization (MeMLO) that addressing the existing problem of clustering in wireless sensor net-work (WSN). The technique enables selection of aggregator node based on multiple optimi-zation attribute which gives better decision capability to the clustering mechanism by choosing the best aggregator node. The outcome of the study shows MeMLO is highly capable of minimizing the halt time of mobile node that significantly lowers the transmit power of aggregator node. The simulation outcome shows negligible computational com-plexity, faster response time, and highly energy efficient for large scale WSN for longer simulation rounds as compared to conventional LEACH algorithm.

This paper present for analysis of short term load forecasting: one week (with & without weekend) using ANN techniques for SLDC of Gujarat. In this paper short term electric load forecasting using neural network; based on historical load demand, The Levenberg-Marquardt optimization technique which has one of the best learning rates was used as a back propagation algorithm for the Multilayer Feed Forward ANN model using MATLAB.12 ANN tool box. Design a model for one week (with & w/o weekend) load pattern for STLF using the neural network have been input variables are (Min., Avg., & Max. load demands for previous week, Min., Avg., & Max. temperature for previous week & Min., Avg., & Max. humidity for previous week). And Nov-12 to Apr-13 (6 Months) historical load data from the SLDC, Gujarat are used for training, testing and showing the good performance. Using this ANN model computing the mean absolute error between the exact and predicted values, we were able to obtain an absolute mean error within specified limit and regression value close to one. This represents a high degree of accuracy.

While the major IT providers and consumers are competing to exploit the benefits of this computing model in order to thrive their profits, most of the cloud computing platforms are still built on operating systems that uses basic CPU (Core Processing Unit) scheduling algorithms that lacks the intelligence needed for such innovative computing model. Correspdondingly, this paper presents the benefits of applying Artificial Neural Networks algorithms in regards to enhancing CPU scheduling for Cloud Computing model. Furthermore, a set of characteristics and theoretical metrics are proposed for the sake of comparing the different Artificial Neural Networks algorithms and finding the most accurate algorithm for Cloud Computing CPU Scheduling.

In any WSN life of network is depending on life of sensor node. Thus, proper load balancing is very useful for improving life of network. The tree-based routing protocols like GSTEB used dynamic tree structures for routing without any formation of collections. In cases of larger networks, the scheme is not always feasible. In this proposed work cluster-based routing method is used. Cluster head is selected such that it should be close to the base station and should have maximum residential energy than other nodes selected for cluster formation. Size of cluster is controlled by using location-based cluster joining method such that nodes selects their nearest collection head based on the signal strength from cluster head and distance between node and cluster head. Nodes connect to head having the highest signal strength and closest to the base station, this minimizes size of cluster and reduces extra energy consumption. In addition to this cluster formation process starts only after availability of data due to an event. So proposed protocol performs better than existing tree based protocols like GSTEB in terms of energy efficiency

and the simulation were performed using MATLAB 2013. It
was found that the neural model was able to predict the solar

Clustering is one of the operations in the wireless sensor network that offers both streamlined data routing services as well as energy efficiency. In this viewpoint, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) has already proved its effectiveness in enhancing clustering operation, energy efficiency, etc. However, PSO also suffers from a higher degree of iteration and computational complexity when it comes to solving complex problems, e.g., allocating transmittance energy to the cluster head in a dynamic network. Therefore, we present a novel, simple, and yet a cost-effective method that performs enhancement of the conventional PSO approach for minimizing the iterative steps and maximizing the probability of selecting a better clustered. A significant research contribution of the proposed system is its assurance towards minimizing the transmittance energy as well as receiving energy of a cluster head. The study outcome proved proposed a system to be better than conventional system in the form of energy efficiency.

Adaptive photovoltaic solar module based on internet of things and web-based ...IJECEIAES
This paper presents an intelligent of single axis automatic adaptive photovoltaic solar module. A static solar panel has an issue of efficiency on shading effects, irradiance of sunlight absorbed, and less power generates. This aims to design an effective algorithm tracking system and a prototype automatic adaptive solar photovoltaic (PV) module connected through internet of things (IoT). The system has successfully designated on solving efficiency optimization. A tracking system by using active method orientation and allows more power and energy are captured. The solar rotation angle facing aligned to the light-dependent resistor (LDR) voltage captured and high solar panel voltage measured by using Arduino microcontroller. Real-time data is collected from the dynamic solar panel, published on Node-Red webpage, and running interactive via android device. The system has significantly reduced time. Data captured by the solar panel then analyzed based on irradiance, voltage, current, power generated and efficiency. Successful results present a live data analytic platform with active tracking system that achieved larger power generated and efficiency of solar panel compared to a fixed mounted array. This research is significant that can help the user to monitor parameters collected by the solar panel thus able to increase 51.82% efficiency of the PV module.
AN IMPROVED ROUTING PROTOCOL SCHEME IN ADHOC NETWORKSIAEME Publication
Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology and the ever-increasing demand in every field, wireless sensor networks are emerging as a necessary scientific achievement to meet the demand of human in modern society. The wireless sensor network (WSN) is designed to help us not lose too much energy, workforce, avoid danger and they bring high efficiency to work. Various routing protocols are being used to increase the energy efficiency of the network, with two distinct types of protocols, homogenous and heterogeneous. In these two protocols, the SEP (Stable Election Protocol) is one of the most effective heterogeneous protocols which increase the stability of the network. In this paper, we propose an approaching the εFCM algorithm in clustering the SEP protocol which makes the WSN network more energy efficient. The simulation results showed that the SEP-εFCM proposed protocol performed better than the conventional SEP protocol

calculation using different attributes of the nodes like SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), Remaining Energy, Node
Degree, Mobility, and Buffer Length gives efficient Cluster Head (CH) on regular interval of time. CH rotation
helps in optimum utilization of energy available with all nodes; results in prolonged network lifetime.
Implementation is done using the NS2 network simulator and performance evaluation is carried out in terms of
PDR (Packet Delivery Ratio), End to End Delay, Throughput, and Energy Consumption. Demonstration of the
obtained results shows that proposed work is adaptable for improving the performance. In order to justify the
solution, the performance of proposed technique is compared with the performance of traditional approach. The
performance of proposed technique is found optimum as compared to the traditional techniques.

Optimal Siting of Distributed Generators in a Distribution Network using Arti...IJECEIAES
Distributed generation (DG) sources are being installed in distribution networks worldwide due to their numerous advantages over the conventional sources which include operational and economical benefits. Random placement of DG sources in a distribution network will result in adverse effects such as increased power loss, loss of voltage stability and reliability, increase in operational costs, power quality issues etc. This paper presents a methodology to obtain the optimal location for the placement of multiple DG sources in a distribution network from a technical perspective. Optimal location is obtained by evaluating a global multi-objective technical index (MOTI) using a weighted sum method. Clonal selection based artificial immune system (AIS) is used along with optimal power flow (OPF) technique to obtain the solution. The proposed method is executed on a standard IEEE-33 bus radial distribution system. The results justify the choice of AIS and the use of MOTI in optimal siting of DG sources which improves the distribution system efficiency to a great extent in terms of reduced real and reactive power losses, improved voltage profile and voltage stability. Solutions obtained using AIS are compared with Genetic algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) solutions for the same objective function.

Optimal Siting of Distributed Generators in a Distribution Network using Arti...IJECEIAES
Distributed generation (DG) sources are being installed in distribution networks worldwide due to their numerous advantages over the conventional sources which include operational and economical benefits. Random placement of DG sources in a distribution network will result in adverse effects such as increased power loss, loss of voltage stability and reliability, increase in operational costs, power quality issues etc. This paper presents a methodology to obtain the optimal location for the placement of multiple DG sources in a distribution network from a technical perspective. Optimal location is obtained by evaluating a global multi-objective technical index (MOTI) using a weighted sum method. Clonal selection based artificial immune system (AIS) is used along with optimal power flow (OPF) technique to obtain the solution. The proposed method is executed on a standard IEEE-33 bus radial distribution system. The results justify the choice of AIS and the use of MOTI in optimal siting of DG sources which improves the distribution system efficiency to a great extent in terms of reduced real and reactive power losses, improved voltage profile and voltage stability. Solutions obtained using AIS are compared with Genetic algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) solutions for the same objective function.

learning factors with different values

A Comparative study on Different ANN Techniques in Wind Speed Forecasting for...IOSRJEEE
There are several available renewable sources of energy, among which Wind Power is the one which is most uncertain in nature. This is because wind speed changes continuously with time leading to uncertainty in availability of amount of wind power generated. Hence, a short-term forecasting of wind speed will help in prior estimation of wind power generation availability for the grid and economic load dispatch.This paper present a comparative study of a Wind speed forecasting model using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with three different learning algorithms. ANN is used because it is a non-linear data driven, adaptive and very powerful tool for forecasting purposes. Here an attempt is made to forecast Wind Speed using ANN with Levenberg-Marquard (LM) algorithm, Scaled Conjugate Gradient (SCG) algorithm and Bayesian Regularization (BR) algorithm and their results are compared based on their convergence speed in training period and their performance in testing period on the basis of Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Square Error (MSE).A 48 hour ahead wind speed is forecasted in this work and it is compared with the measured values using all three algorithms and the best out of the three is selected based on minimum error.

The sensors in the WSN sense the surrounding, collects the data and transfers the data to the sink node. It
has been observed that the sensor nodes are deactivated or damaged when exposed to certain radiations or
due to energy problems. This damage leads to the temporary isolation of the nodes from the network which
results in the formation of the holes. These holes are dynamic in nature and can grow and shrink depending
upon the factors causing the damage to the sensor nodes. So a solution has been presented in the base paper
where the dual mode i.e. Radio frequency and the Acoustic mode are considered so that the data can be
transferred easily. Based on this a survey has been done where several factors are studied so that the
performance of the system can be increased.

There are various unseen and unpredictable networking states in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) that adversely affect the aggregated data quality. After reviewing the existing approaches of data quality in WSN, it was found that the solutions are quite symptomatic and they are applicable only in a static environment; however their successful applicability on dynamic and upcoming reconfigurable network is still a big question. Moreover, data quality directly affects energy conservation among the nodes. Therefore, the proposed system introduces a simple and novel framework that jointly addresses the data quality and energy efficiency using probability-based design approach. Using a simplified analytical methodology, the proposed system offers solution in the form of selection transmission of an aggergated data on the basis of message priority in order to offer higher data utilization factor. The study outcome shows proposed system offers a good balance between data quality and energy efficiency in contrast to existing system.
LOAD BALANCING AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN WSN BY CLUSTER JOINING METHODIAEME Publication
In any WSN life of network is depending on life of sensor node. Thus, proper load balancing is very useful for improving life of network. The tree-based routing protocols like GSTEB used dynamic tree structures for routing without any formation of collections. In cases of larger networks, the scheme is not always feasible. In this proposed work cluster-based routing method is used. Cluster head is selected such that it should be close to the base station and should have maximum residential energy than other nodes selected for cluster formation. Size of cluster is controlled by using location-based cluster joining method such that nodes selects their nearest collection head based on the signal strength from cluster head and distance between node and cluster head. Nodes connect to head having the highest signal strength and closest to the base station, this minimizes size of cluster and reduces extra energy consumption. In addition to this cluster formation process starts only after availability of data due to an event. So proposed protocol performs better than existing tree based protocols like GSTEB in terms of energy efficiency

It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
