Article 92 Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Article 92" can be quite challenging for several reasons.
Firstly, the subject matter itself may require a deep understanding of legal concepts and military
regulations, as Article 92 typically refers to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and
outlines offenses related to the disobedience of orders.
To create a well-informed and coherent essay, one must delve into the intricacies of military law
and comprehend the specific provisions under Article 92. This may involve extensive research,
reading legal texts, and consulting relevant case studies to ensure accurate and comprehensive
coverage of the topic.
Additionally, conveying complex legal ideas in a clear and concise manner poses another layer
of difficulty. Striking a balance between providing detailed information and making the content
accessible to a broader audience requires careful consideration of language and structure.
Moreover, the essay might necessitate addressing potential counterarguments or discussing
various perspectives on the implications of Article 92 violations. This adds an extra layer of
complexity, as it demands critical thinking and the ability to analyze and synthesize information
effectively.
In conclusion, an essay on "Article 92" requires a substantial investment of time and effort to
comprehend the legal nuances, organize information logically, and articulate arguments
coherently. The process can be intellectually demanding, and success depends on the writer's
ability to navigate legal intricacies while maintaining clarity and persuasiveness in their writing.

Implications of the Literary Techniques Used in “she
being...
she being Brand / new by E. E. Cummings
In the poem, she being Brand/ new by E.E. Cummings, the writer has chosen to
use symbols and unique capitalization in parts of the poem to reference a sexual
interaction with a woman. The opening sentence using a capital B in she being
Brand/ new (lines 1 2) leads the reader into the idea that the woman he is with is a
virgin and untouched. He never speaks of his actual sexual experience, but gives
readers an almost humorous ride of his sexual encounter. In lines 10 15, up,
slipped the clutch (and then somehow got into reverse she kicked what the hell)
next minute I was back in neutral tried and again slow ly; bare, l nudg. Ing readers
will see the comparison of car parts not working correctly and having to tinker with
them to get them going with that of maybe a new sexual experience not going
right. The readers will see that the driver of the car would be considered a little self
centered and proud of his sexual abilities by the word choices of Cummings. In
1920 s when this poem was written sex was seen as kind of a naughty, forbidden
and sometimes hidden experience, Cummings uses the car to exemplify how the
rush of driving a car and the rush a sexual climax are similar. In using the capital O
in, her radiator made sure her springs were O (9) Cummings symbolizes the ultimate
orgasm. The poem continues throughout with stopping lines and pausing and starting
lines much like a car would sputter and
The Fate of Our Homeless Animals
In our world today, there are countless numbers of homeless animals. Every year,
millions of animals are abused. Of those, thousands don t make it. According to the
UN, 200 species go extinct every day. In the US alone, more than 1 million animals
are run over every day. These are just some the cruel realities that exist in our current
state. It may be too late for some, but there is still time, still hope for others. We need
to invest more in preventing animal crueltybefore it s too late. We need to speak for
those who don t have a voice of their own.
First, animals that are used for our entertainment are inhumanely abused. When I
was younger, I always dreamed of going to the circus. Seeing clowns and their
funny acts, but most of all, I wanted to see the elephants do their amazing tricks. I
never did get to go to the circus, but now I have lost all desire to. Once I learned
what really was going on, I was outraged. Elephants are dragged away from their
mothers shortly after birth and chained for up to 100 hours at a time. Tricks are
learned by binding them with ropes, using bull hooks, and even electric shockers on
their head. Orcas from SeaWorld are captured from their natural habitat, and those
that aren t taken away are killed. In the wild, orcas can live up to 100 years, but in
captivity, the average age is only nine. In the wild, dolphins and whales usually
swim up to 100 miles a day, where as in SeaWorld, they re kept in tanks that are ,in
an oversized dolphin s
Jazz Age In The Great Gatsby
Perhaps the most interesting element of Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby and the
perspective it presents to readers on the 1920 s is how it does so in an
irredeemably negative light. One would expect the Jazz age in American history,
lovingly called the Roarin 20 s, to be a time of flourishment, success and
materialization of the American dream. For many this was the case and for even
more it was no more tangible and common than the idea of the nuclear family that
would be propagated in the 1950 s. With the style, fads and even the popular choice
of music for the time. It s not a difficult sell to imply the Jazz age is the non fiction
equivalent of Gatsby s rise and fall in Fitzgerald s novel, or rather the two have
come to be symbolic of one another due to how history played out. What I hope to
prove here, more than anything, is that the Jazz age as it stands in American
history, will always be tied to the success and timelessness of the Fitzgerald novel
and how new generations of Americans can be drawn to it s themes. Perhaps the
biggest appeal the 20 s gave to those who lived through it was the sense that anyone
had the power to control the outcome of their success, directly; a belief in what
today we may call pulling oneself up by their bootstraps . Incidentally this is also the
philosophy Fitzgerald seems most interested in deconstructing in his novel. Due to
success on Wall Street in the stock market as well as public opinion accepting
consumerism as the new norm,
Story Of Twists And Turns From The Criminal Underworld
This is a story of twists and turns from the criminal underworld. It involves a closely
knit group that sells poison to unsuspecting victims as an alternative medicine. They
have labeled their so called medicine as M.M.S , which they state represents either
Miracle Mineral Solution or Miracle Mineral Supplement . It is neither a supplement
nor a mineral. It s chlorinebleach. This disturbing topic has been covered here, at The
Health Wyze Report, on multiple occasions, but now raids have finally begun, and as
a result, more information about the operation of these criminals has become
available.

The M.M.S. product that has been marketed by Humble and his entourage is chlorine
dioxide. It was never shipped to customers directly. Instead, customers had to make
their own by mixing the shipped sodium chlorite with citric acid, because chlorine
dioxide is so unstable that it is explosive.
We have learned more about how the game is played, due to raids that took place
in 2011, and a set of criminal convictions that finally manifested in 2013. The tale
begins and ends with four of Jim Humble s underlings: Louis (Daniel) Smith, Karis
Delong, Tammy Olson, and Chris Olson. They began their operation by creating a
shell company called Project Greenlife, in 2007. It had multiple websites including
projectgreenlife.com, mmsmiracle.com, purestreamhealth.com, and
mmsfornewbies.com. All of these sites were meant to create an impression of a
legitimate marketplace with honest competition and independent peer reviews for
Project Greenlife s medicine . It was a fake network that was used to buoy an equally
bogus medical treatment. From our research over a period of many years, all of the
involved people are linked to Jim Humble, whose job is to bless the M.M.S. that is
sold by his own people.
The ring leader of Project Greenlife, Daniel Smith of Spokane, Washington, bought
sodium chlorite from a chemical supply company in Utah. Soon after, the chemical
company contacted Smith s
Media Campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day 2012
Media campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day 2012
Organization Profile The organization asking for assistance with its campaign is a
small mental health nonprofit in Singapore. The company operates facilities that
provide services to the mentally ill such as counseling, hospital alternative programs,
case management, housing assistance, and community outreach. The community
outreach branch has been participating in the World Suicide Prevention Day
campaigns since they were first organized, but there has been very little participation
by the community, or even similar agencies, in this effort. The company has a
particular stake in this effort as the mentally ill population in the region is almost
three times more likely to commit suicide than an individual who does not claim
mental health problems (SingHealth, 2012).
Relevant Issues Singapore has its own committee that conducts a local suicide
prevention day in March of select years (SingHealth, 2012), so assistance from the
county is unlikely other than verbal support. The company does not have a large
budget to support the effort and will have to conduct a fund raising drive prior to
beginning the campaign to endure that enough funds can be dedicated to the effort. It
is possible though that the country will provide some money via a grant. The day
itself has not been well publicized in the media in the years preceding this one. This
presents an issue in that people do not want to think about the problem and are
Deduction In Sherlock Holmes
Sherlock Holmes is one of the most popular detectives in world history. His
adventures with the wonderful Dr. Watson have taken him to many places around
england. But not only has he traveled around the world, but he has traveled around in
time too. Sherlock holmes is even more popular that when his first stories by Sir
Arthur Conan Doylewere released. Today, there are new spin of books staring the
detective, a multitude of movies based off his adventures, but nothing can
compare to the fact that he is the spotlight in his own Netflix series. Sherlock,
produced by BBC, is an incredibly smart show for everyone. Taking place in
modern day england, this show s countless plot twists and endless suspense keeps
viewers on the edge of their seat the entire episode. Seeing as it has been about 130
years since the first book was created, this modern day evolution of Sherlock Holmes
is a vastly different character from the sherlock from the original novels. There are

Sherlock using the art of deduction can be commonly found within his stories.
Weather he is solving the murder mystery of the century, of figuring out what Dr.
Watson had for breakfast, he is constantly using it. Though deduction is a big part
of his investigative process, Sherlock doesn t only use his mind. The Sherlock
from Sherlock has access to much more resources such as DNA testing, super
powerful microscopes, and access to all sorts of substances, than the sherlock from
the original novels, and only for one reason. Sherlock takes place in modern day
whereas the original novels were written and take place in the 1800s. For that reason,
the sherlock from the show can use different techniques for solving crimes than the

The Polar Express
All Aboard! : A Comparison and Contrast of The Polar Express Book and Movie The
Polar Express is a classic children s Christmas story written by acclaimed author
Chris Von Allsburg. Chris Von Allsburg writes and illustrates all of his books and
won the Caldecott medal for The Polar Express. The Polar Express is a Christmas
story of getting a kid to believe in Santa. The boy climbs aboard a train to go to the
North Poleto see Santa. He is the one chosen to receive the first gift of Christmas,
which was a silver bell off of the reindeers. He cannot hear it at first, but then he
finally lets himself believe in Santa and can hear the bell for the rest of his life. The

Also in the movie the train almost had an accident unlike the book. They put this
in the movie so it could build up to that scene as a climax to scare the viewers that
something might happen. In the trailer for the movie, it even shows the train
getting into an accident so the viewers will want to go see what happens to the
train. As well as the movie adding the songs, it also added the kids getting a
special ticket. Each child had a certain a letter at the beginning of their train ride,
punched by the conductor. When the kids were done experiencing the North Pole,
the conductor punched out a word pertaining to each kid. The main kid got the
word believe punched into his ticket because he did not believe in Santa at the
beginning of the movie. The African American girl got leader punched into her
ticket because she was the one that always knew what to do. The poor boy, Billy,
also got believe because he didn t think Santa was real either. This leads into the
most important difference between the book and the movie. In the movie it depicts
that going to the North Pole to see Santa was all a dream, while in the book it made
it all seem real. When children go see this movie, they might think that since the boy
is having a dream that Santa must not be real. A lot of research has been done about
kids believing in Santa. Gail Vines wrote about the Santa delusion from psychologist
s perspectives. According to Gail Vines (2007), children are able to
Ralph Waldo Emerson Quotes
Quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson Do not go where the path may lead, go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail describes me because I liked to venture into
the unknown, the thought of not knowing the outcome of your choice always
intrigued me. The idea of carving your own path or choices and leaving it for
theirs take is fascinating. From an early childhood, I loved doing things my own
way, not because I wanted to be ignorant, rude or stubborn. I just want to take my
own way, taking an obvious path has no rewarding factor, no excitement or thrill.
For example, during kindergarten, I was assigned a simple task to bring in
something you liked and share it with a class. Normal you have several common
option of bringing a favorite toy or a book. I in the other had taken my neighbor s
dog without asking the owner. My school was a walking distance so I walked with
the dog and came into class with the dog. The teacher was concerned with me
because I managed to sneak in a dog into the class. Of course, I got in trouble but in
my mind I was just following my teachers request to bring something I liked. I got a
hundred percent on the assigned even thought I was in a huge amount of trouble....

Abstract
The main goal of Sharp Healthcare is to increase employees, physicians, and patient
satisfaction as well as providing quality care. They believe that in order for the
facility to be successful, it has to have motivated staff who provide quality care. At
Sharp Health Care, they believe in open communication among the staff, which can
be argued to be a weak approach. It can also be argued that Sharp Healthcare can be
rewarding their staff so that they can improve their performance further. Overall,
Sharp approach to motivate its staff is a great innovation and it will be great if it is

However, only two of the five behaviors and actions are related to employee
motivation. The most relevant of two requires managerial level employees to foster
an attitude of gratitude and send thank you notes to other deserving employees. A
recent study by MarketTools Inc. for Globoforce confirms that a lack of sincere
recognition provided to employees is a leading cause of turnover. The study
identifies a solid correlation between the level of recognition delivered by managers
and the loyalty of their direct reports (Sun). Thus, thank you notes are cheap and
simple yet sincere and an effective way of showing recognition to employees which
will increase their loyalty and motivation.
RE RECRUITING EMPLOYEES
One of the tools Sharp managers use to retain the employees is re recruitment of
current employees rather than new ones. Re recruiting recognizes employees for their
contributions, renews their sense of self worth and loyalty, and ensures their
longevity. The management places employees in three different categories based on
their performance. The categories include great, good and low performing employees.
The management meets with employees in each category individually. However,
when they meet with their great performers, they let them know they are a valuable

The Policy Impact On The Real Estate Industry
The Policy Impact on the Real Estate Monopolist in China
Just a couple weeks ago, many cities in China have begun to loosen the restriction. In
China, 2010, Chinese central government issued a housing restriction policy, which
limited families purchase of housing and commercial loans for the real estate
companies. It supposed to control the demand of the real estate, and lower the
housing price. However, after following this policy for 4 years. The housing price
still keeps growing. Many small real estate companies were heavily effect by this
policy. Some of them had exited this market. However, the financial statements from
several big real estate companies in China indicated that these companies were
making more profit and experiencing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second reason is the monopoly in land supply. In China, lands are owned by
state. Government is the only supplier in land market. In many cities, the land
auctions are a major source of fiscal income. For profit oriented land finance of
local government, the government actually controls the price of land by controlling
the quantity of supply. With the price much higher than it should be, new entrants
cannot afford it or make profit by using it. In an auction notification in 2014 in
Shenzhen (one of the biggest cities in China), a parcel of land with a permitted
construction area of 500000 square meters was given a starting price of 6.72 billion
yuan (1.1 billion dollar). In fact, even after the auction, the land is still owned by
state, the company just gets the right to use it for 75 years or shorter.
The third reason is the imperfect dissemination of information. The housing
information is mainly control by the companies. Many of the information are not
released. For example, all the information we can access is the total average price and
trading volume. Obviously, the companies have more information than ordinary
people.
Before the government regulation in 2010, there are many real estate companies in
the market. For example, even some breweries engaged in real estate. It seems like a
competitive market will many buyers and sellers. The regulation policy in 2010

Pet Hospital Abnormal Behavior
All animals need a visit to the veterinarian at some point even if it is just for a
check up, but since we can t communicate directly with them, it can be difficult to
know when these times are. Many pet owners make the false assumption that they

Esau is the elder twin brother of Jacob and were the sons of Isaac and Rebekah. They
were also the grandsons of Abraham and Sarah. The book of Genesis, identifies Isaac
as God s chosen son of the promise as well as Isaac s youngest son Jacob. (Towns,
1996) The theme of dishonesty happens repeatedly through the course of Jacob s life.
Jacob deceives his father Isaac and took the blessing from under his Brother Esau s
nose. Jacob departed from his home to a town named Haran, which was his mother
s ancestral home. Jacob then married Leah and Rachael, which produce twelve
children. God came to Jacob in a dream and revealed the angelic stairs, which was

Capernaum
Capernaum was constructed along the edge of the Sea of Galilee, it housed up to
1,500 residents. Its location is 2 1/2 miles from the point where the Jordan River
enters the Sea of Galilee and about 10 miles from present day Tiberias. The crest of
a ridge of hills, just to the west of the ancient town, is the mountain of Capernaum
referred to the Byzantine pilgrim Egeria as Eremos. The ruins are currently owned
by two churches and or synagogues. The New Testament is where Capernaum is
introduced in Matthew. Matthew refers to Capernaum as Jesus own city. Jesus made
Capernaum his home throughout the years of his ministry, Leaving Nazareth he
went and lived in Capernaum (Matt 4:13). Capernaum is one of the three cities

synagogue, Jesus gave sermon on the bread of life. From this town he chose his first

Similarities And Differences Between Malcolm X And
Martin...
Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. were both known as civil right leaders in
the 1960 s. Both men had a different perspective on civil rights and how civil rights
should be won. Both men also had strong beliefs on religious and followed on
through that path in different ways. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm Xhad several
differences and several comparisons and had a big impact for the people of The
United States. Martin Luther King Jr. was known as a Baptist Minister and also
Civil Rights Activist. King, had a huge impact on race relations in the United States
around the 1950 s. Martin Luther King Jr. was known for equality and human
rights for African Americans. On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give up
her seat on the bus and was arrested. Therefore, Activists coordinated a bus boycott
that had continued for 361 days and elected Martin Luther King Jr. to be the protest
leader and also the official spokesman leader.
Martin Luther king Jr. had become successful with the boycott that other civil right
activist in ministers had founded the Southern Christian Leadership Conference
(SCLC) this was known as a group achieving full equality for African Americans
through a nonviolent protest. King, worked with a few civil rights and religious
groups who helped organized the March on Washington. This was for jobs, and
freedoms. This was to help shed the light on African Americans injustices. Around
1964, The Civil Rights Act was passed. Martin Luther King Jr. was most famous
for his speech, I Have a Dream his speech was called for peace and equality that
many would consider a masterpiece. On April 4, 1968 King was assassinated. King
will always be remembered for his speeches. On the third Monday during the month
of January is a U.S. holiday to honor him. King, had a vision of changing the world
in a positive way.
The difference between Martin Luther King jr. and Malcolm X was king was a
Baptist and Malcolm was an African AmericanMuslim. Malcolm was also known as
Malcolm Little that was his adopted name. Malcolm was also known as a minister
and human right activist. To the people who admired him he was a courageous
advocate for the rights of African Americans. Malcolm X was accused of preaching
Bering Strait Land Bridge Theory Analysis
Archaeology is a varied and interesting science, a science that is different than say
physics or chemistry but still a science nonetheless. As such it is interesting that
many Archaeologists still believe in the Bering Strait Land Bridge theory, while I
am by no means an Archaeologist or even an individual with a college degree. The
Bering Strait theory has several holes in it, as was discussed in the lecture in class.
What baffles me personally the most is the fact that some Archaeologists ignore
evidence. After all Archaeologists have to make hypotheses and theories are only a
few artifacts or sites, doesn t mean they should ignore certain artifacts or sites that
don t agree with their theories. Like any science the new evidence should
The Endangered Species Act, Or Esa For Short
The Endangered Species Act, or ESA for short, became a law in 1973 and is
enforced by the U.S. to protect species from extinction, mainly due to development
for economic growth. The ESA is one of the most popular and effective
environmental laws ever enacted. It is a commitment by humans to work together
to protect and restore those species that are most at risk of extinction.
Unfortunately, the natural systems we depend on are at risk, and plants and
animals worldwide are disappearing. In the United States alone hundreds of plant
and animal species have become extinct since the time of the first settlers. There
two federal agencies that are in charge of the act are the Fish and Wildlife Service
and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. A species is considered
for protection under the ESA when a high portion of the species is likely to
become endangered in a foreseeable time. Overall there are about 2,200 species
that are listed as endangered or threatened under the ESA and of these about 600 are
foreign found species. The main goal of the ESA is to prevent jeopardized animals
and plants from becoming extinct and removing or decreasing any threat to their
survival. It is important to make sure that no species die out so as to not upset the
environmental balance. When we protect all species, we are protecting the entire
habitat, therefore, we are maintaining the safety of our own environment as humans.

Comparing Sagan And Plato s Allegory Of The Cave
Sagan and Plato are two authors who write about different theories on how humans
learn. Sagan believes that people are interested in exploring the truth. On the other
hand, Plato believes that humans would rather be taught the truth. In the world that
Plato and Sagan suggests, there is no room for spiritual beliefs. In Allegory of the
Cave, Platouses examples or humans in a cave that cannot move to support his theory.
In Can We Know the Universe, Sagan uses a grain of salt to support his theory. Both
Plato and Sagan make interesting points to support their theories.
Plato s Allegory of the Cave makes a better case for his point of view that humans
are most happy in the world of shadows where the truth is provided for us. In
Allegory of the Cave he states: Being self taught, they cannot be expected to show
any gratitude for a culture which they have never received (Plato 205). He gives a
great example by using the people in the cave. In the cave with only a light of fire
and no way to move around, it is no way of knowing that what they see or hear is in
fact real. Until someone can teach them about the shadows, they have no way of
knowing the truth about them. Outer space can be used as another example. Not
everyone has the opportunity or interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For this reason, there is no room for spiritual belief. A spiritual belief is believing
that there is more to the world than what is seen. A person s spiritual beliefs are not
based on science. In Allegory of the Cave Plato says: Men would say of him that
up he went and down he came without his eyes; and that it was better not even to
think of ascending; (203) For example, a person that is spiritual can believe that
once you pass, your soul is recycled and born again into another body. There is no
way to prove this theory. If one were to try to explain this to others without any
proof, it would be difficult for people to believe

The Distinction of Social Classes in Sister Carrie by...
By the later part of the 1800 s New York and Chicago were some of the largest cities
in the world and both had populations that exceeded a million. With the growing
population, the economy s stability began to fluctuate. The instability within the
states gave rise to two distinct populations within America, the upper and the working
classes. Theodore Dreiser, knowing the volatile state America was built upon,
highlighted the economic differences between the wealthy and the poor in his novel
Sister Carrie.
During the eighteenth century, America had transformed from a simple homestead
into an ornate country. Within the bustling empire, the wealthy were able to live

forced to share living spaces with other families and more often than naught, had to

wood and furniture, were often too large of an expense. Even with Governmental

living conditions. The rooms they were given to stay in were cold and sterile, and
they were not guaranteed a place to stay every night. On the others side of the
unbalanced American social scale, the rich were living in superb houses and
apartments that bespoke of wealth and comfort. In a weird turn of events, the elite
were given more charitable donations then the unemployed miserable lower class
citizens. Dreiser shows this when Carrie is offered a first class for a mere two dollars

The Between Eastern And Western Medicine
From the dawn of time healing has been influenced by many different issues, such
as religion, politics of the time, different philosophies, and vested interest such as
money. There had been conflicts between Eastern and Western medicine for a long
time. Eastern medicine is viewed by many people in the West as having no validity
and makes little sense to those who view the body in parts and pieces. Eastern
medicinehas long viewed the body as mind, body and spirit as one entity. To
understand the ideas of each Eastern and Western medicine its history has to be taken
into consideration
Hippocrates, a physician of Greece believed in scientific reasoning and the power of
natural healing his belief continued until the 19th century (2300 years). During the
second century Galan, another Greek physician was the first to promote the key to
healing and soon every health problem were fit into a classification (as it is today).
His ways were strict and only doctors had access to the healing knowledge. During the
dark ages natural healing was embraced once more. The Arabs brought alchemy and
pharmacy into Western medicine. They introduced new ointments elixirs, pills,
suppositories, carcinogenics, and inhalations to the masses in the 12th century herbal
pharmacies were common in every neighborhood. In the 16th century Paracelsus
taught that alchemy and chemistry were a way to unlock the secrets of nature. Both
the alchemist of his day, and the chemists of our day, adhere to the beliefs

The Rule Of The King
After the failure of the Judges, Israel desired a king, so they could be like all other
nations. (1Sam 5:8 paraphrased) Creating a United Monarchy meant many
changes would have to take place. At the time Israel had been theocracy and God
was their King, however the elders had a different plan. They wanted a king, even
if it meant rejecting God. God told Samuel to listen to the people, appoint them a
king, but make sure they understand what the king who reigns over them will do
Samuel explained to the people that their sons would be part of the army, their
children would have to work for the king, they also would have to pay high taxes.
The people refused to listen to Samuel. So God gave them a king. The LORD
replied, Do as they say, and give them a king. (1 Sam 8:22 NLT) Then Samuel
agreed and sent the people home. God was rejected and a human monarchy would
now rule Israel.
Unknown to the people God had chosen a man to serve as their king. (1Sam 9:16 17
paraphrased) According to Hindson and Yates Saulwas the people s choice, more
than God s choice for a king. They focused on his outward appearance more than
his heart. Tall, dark, and handsome, Saul was the chosen one the appointed king.
According to Hindson and Yates Despite Saul s strong beginning (chap. 11) and
being warned by Samuel to honor the Mosaic covenant (chap.12), Saul s poor
choices caused his kingdom to deteriorate rapidly. (chap.13 15) Saul s blatant
disobedience would be the last straw. He was

Fourgere stated, Resilience is one of purported protective factor that has been
highlighted as being of potential importance. This was stated in regards of some
protective factors that are involved with risk factors in offenders. Protective factors
are those supposedly known to relate to positive outcomes. Protective factors are
those conditions or attributes such as skills, strength, resources, supports, or coping
strategies in individuals, families, communities or larger societies that help people
deal more effectively with stressful events and mitigate or eliminate riskin families
and communities. Resilience is the capacity to recover quick from difficulties. This is
a trait or characteristic that has been thought to keep some young offenders from

Assessment of Protective Factors for Violence Risk, and Short Term Assessment of
Risk and Treatability are some risk assessmenttools that related to resilience.
Resilience has been identified as both a personal quality or characteristic, as well as
a means of coping. Forensics concluded resilience being a trait, a quality that makes
one person different from another, or a characteristic, a special quality or trait that
makes a person thing, or group different from others. Both defined show a few
similarities but remained distinct depending solely on the individual and their
circumstances. Individuals who show self efficacy, perseverance,
The Roles of Portia and Shylock in The Merchant of
Venice...
Stereotypes for every different religion, ethnicity, culture, and gender exist among
the minds of the human race. These typecasts have ruled this world for as long as
there has been diversity among people. In Shakespeare s comedic tragedy, The
Merchant of Venice, one prejudice is very central to the theme. The play is
dominantly set in Venice, one of the most liberal cities of the Renaissance era. In this
place and time period, anti Semitism is very much in force. The Jewish people are
discriminated against and treated terribly by the Christians living in Venice. Shylock,
a wealthy Jew, is mercilessly spurned many times by men like Antonio, a Venetian
merchant. In contrast to this blind hatred is the longing and lust associated with...

I am a Jew. Hath not a Jew eyes? (III.i.53 58). He is making it clear that Antonio has
committed multiple acts of cruelty against Shylock merely because of his religion.
Shylock goes on to portray that Jews are exactly like Christians except in their
beliefs, and that there is no justified reason for their contempt for Jewish people.
Although he is a usurer, which is considered an undignified position for anyone to
be in, as a Jew, Shylock is the target of a great amount of derision. In Wheeler s
truthful depiction of the play, he states, Above all, [Shylock] is a Jew. In his most
famous speech he asserts the fundamental humanity of his nation, but the Christians
persist in calling him the Jew and the laws of Venice make him an alien. Conversely,
Portia is a well respected Christian woman living in the nearby city of Belmont. As
a Christian, she is not discriminated against because of her religion and she enjoys
many rights and privileges that Shylock and the Jewish people do not. Merely the
fact that she is Christian allows her more freedom than Shylock could ever dream to
achieve. She, not unlike the rest of the Christian people, believe that they have the
right to judge Jews and others that they deem are beneath them. For instance, when
Morocco, a player in Portia s marriage lottery , leaves after picking the wrong casket,
Portia says, A gentle riddance! Draw

It is common practice in college to venture outside of your comfort zone, which is
exactly what the Auburn Parkour Club allows you to do. Founded in 2006 by Cody
Robinson, the Auburn Parkour Club is an official Auburn affiliated club that trains in
the athletic discipline of Parkour. Parkour is the act of moving from point a to point
b using the obstacles in your path to increase your efficiency ( World Freerunning
ParkourFederation ). We use the environment around us to help us obtain this goal in
as many different ways as possible. The Auburn Parkour Club believes that Parkour is
more than just a sport, but a philosophy and a way of life. It not only benefits ones
physical strength, but their mental strength as well. It enforces the mindset that there
is no obstacle that cannot be overcome. The Auburn Parkour Club does not take part
in formal competition though they do exist. National and international competitions
become popular in 2007, which helps expose more people to the discipline.
Participating in Parkour is tough but can be fun and rewarding.
Participating in the Auburn Parkour Club benefits one s mental and physical strength,
creative freedom, and provides fun experiences in a unique sport. Through the moves
common in Parkour it can vastly improve one s strength and conditioning. Vaults,
wall runs, and precisions requires physical strength and athleticism. Different tricks

A Holiday Essay Holiday
Holiday Essay Have you ever had to leave a party because your dad was fully ready
to cause serious bodily harm? I have. Every year we would go to two Fourth of
July parties; now we go to one. I think everyone who has celebrated the holiday has
at least one memory of the time something went haywire during Independence Day.
Lots of people party on the Fourth of July and things tend to go wrong every now
and then but it does not usually stop people from partying. In our case it did hinder
the festivities. What could have happened that was so bad that we quit going? This is
the story of the time a drunk man shot fireworksat children. Fourth of July is a big
holiday for many Americans. We celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the
Declaration of Independence from England in 1776. Most people celebrate by
watching firework displays or setting of some themselves, if the weather and laws
permit. America is a nation full of pyromaniacs. Who could blame us? Fire is fun.
Fire is not the only fun thing about the Fourth though. Cookouts and parties are
common, as is alcohol. Sometimes accidents happen when pyrotechnics and
alcohol mix, such as: destroyed property, like a shirt catching an ember and having
a hole burned through it, fires if the wind spends a spark dancing into a tree or
some grass, missing fingers (do not hold firecrackers, I repeat do not hold
firecrackers), and burns, sometimes, even if you do everything right, something could
still go wrong. Some people find
Taking a Look at Cave Art
When you think of cave art you may think of it is a way of just communicating or
it does not really have much meaning to it. But when you really look into the art
you find so much more. It s amazing what you can find about the humans in the
past just through their art, you get to find out where did they creativity come from
and why did they create. In this essay I am going to discuss what made the features
on the cave so special? And why were they made? The stunning prehistoric cave art
at Altamira was decorated between 13,000 and 14,000 years ago. It was first
discovered by Marcelino sanz de sautuola and his daughter Maria He tried to bring
attention to the old art at Altamira, for its drawing of animals. The animals that
were drawn were aurochs, horses, ibexes, and boar. The art features were so
special; the uneven contours of the rock give the animals almost a three dimensional
presence. The animals pasture, the colors were mostly red and black, and the
shading was also in colors which were yellow, brown, purple and white. The art was
so powerfully the contemporaries thought the paintings were not authentic because of
how well it was drawn. They believed someone else have drawn the art. They couldn
t grip that art existed in prehistory. That was until Emile Cartailhac, one of the French
experts realize him doubting the painting was in error. The conclusion he came to
was that the Altamira paintings and others like them did belong to the

Douglass calls his standing up to Mr. Covey a glorious resurrection, where his
manhood was reinstated. He was again sent to Baltimore, where he met Anna
Murray, a free black woman, who gave Douglass enough love and encouragement
for him to heighten his quest to be a free man. On September 3, 1838, Douglass
dressed in a Sailor s uniform and carrying identification papers provided by a free
Black seaman, managed to reach New York City. There he met David Ruggles, an
Abolitionist, who sheltered Douglass and assisted him with his wedding plans.
Douglass then changed his surname from Bailey to Douglass, married Anna Murray,
and the couple then moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Douglass soon began frequenting Anti Slavery meetings, and on one occasion was
unexpectedly called to speak. In the presence of some of the prominent Abolitionist
(William Lloyd Garrison, Wendell Phillips, and William Collins), Douglass told the
story of his life and was immediately urged to become an Anti Slavery lecturer.
Douglass used his knowledge of the English language and his vivid imagination to
de4scribe slavery. His speeches were so eloquent that the public began to doubt that
he was ever a slave. Douglass showed his objection to this doubt by writing The
Narrative, in 1845. After publishing this account of his life, he fled to England,
fearing that he jeopardized his freedom. With the aid of his

Student banking is an important aspect of banks and students because it provides a
suite of financial, educational and social engagement services that collectively help
students to better understand banking and how to smartly interact with finances. In
this regard, FNB should attract, acquire, satisfy and retain students because they
represent future profitability if successful relationships are created. However for this
to be done, the bank needs to successfully market itself to this target segment by
giving them reasons to bank with FNB, offer incentives to students and offering value

This will get FNB great coverage and interaction with this market. But these trends
require accurate targeting and engaging content. In their dialogues and promotional
communications materials FNB should focus on how they can best motivate their
individual customer and call for their action. They should live up to their How can
we help you slogan, and really get down to helping when customers require the
assistance. In today s relationship marketing it is no more enough to track the
experiences of your customers and learn about them. It is about enriching every
interaction you have with your customers by welcome calls, helpdesk, customer
service setup support, complete customer care, complaint handling, win back
programs.
FNB should also try to engage their student market with educational yet fun and
interactive games and problem solving through social media sites and mobile
applications. The student market is generally prone to participate in fun and
rewarding competitions. FNB could attract the student market by teaming up with
party events and night clubs that will allow students discounts on entrance fee as well
as drinks. This would be an effective way to communicate with this market and really
grab their attention.

However, the main symbol is equality. Their joint burial symbolizes equality
because at the beginning, their affection for each other was not as accepted as it
was in the end. At the beginning, the idea of a Native American and a pale face
falling in love was frowned upon and the two needed to strive for acceptance. Go
to my father, as I have said, and be the most confidential of my messengers. Tell
him to trust you with the means to buy the freedom of his daughters. Go; tis my

The Roman Empire And The Rise And Fall Of The Papacy
For centuries the Vatican has occupied a unique position in history, exercising both
sacred and secular power in activities that have generated as much fascination as
controversy. Yet, for most people it remains a mysterious institution. One whose
motives and maneuvers are not easily understood. From the struggles of the very
first Christians to the challenges and scandals of today, the Catholic Church has
wrestled with how to organize itself, express its beliefs, and nurture its members.
The church has grown from a handful of disciples in the first century to over one
billion members in the twenty first, resulting in profound changes that demand a
theological response. A candid but rational inquiry into the progress and
establishment of Christianity may be considered a very essential part of the history
of the Roman Empire and the rise and fall of the papacy. The history of the Papacy
began over two thousand years ago with the reign of John Paul II. Peter, the humble
fisherman of Galilee and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, became the figure head and the
basis for the institution that has outlined not only the Roman and Byzantine empires
but also the Carolingian Gaul, medieval Germany, Spain, Britain, the Third Reich of
Hitler, and the Soviet Union. Jesus tells Peter, And I say also unto thee, that thou art
Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:
Evaluation of Baumol s Model
Introduction Generally in business, there is a trade off between selling many units at
a low price and selling only a few units at a high price. There are different managerial
models in a firm embodying different assumptions like the Profit Maximization
Model which is a traditional model, the Marris Model, the Williamson Model and the
Baumol Model. This write up will focus on understanding management preferences in
terms of price, revenue and profit maximization, critically evaluate the management

In this respect, certain characteristics are identifiable about the internal and external
processes involved for organizations within such markets. Baumol recognizes that
since it is large organizations that are most likely to be competitors within an
oligopoly, then the chains of control and decision making are likely to be elongated.
It is therefore considered that more likely that it will take longer to arrive at and
implement decisions within such organizations than within smaller competitors.
Within the market, it is claimed that there is tacit collusion between organizations to
maintain the status quo. These incumbents, once the oligopoly has settled down into
an equilibrium position, are able to enjoy a quiet life and split the profits between
them. Additionally, there may be a general lack of interest on the part of
organizations to compete in their markets unless actions are undertaken by others to
upset the current situation. Other justifications for the sales revenue maximization
model include: The imposition of a minimum profit constraint on management by
shareholders ensures that their concerns are met, while it would be more difficult to
set and measure a maximum requirement. Increasing level of sales are

insincere activity, performed only to impress literature enthusiasts. But, there are
instances when one goes over entries that, by the extreme power of their
magnificence, jump off the page and echo so definitely inside one s thoughts that
they turn into a sort of making better of the whole play. One can read King Learover
and over, and still be struck once more by Shakespeare s complete and total control
over language; without a doubt, no other author had so full a feeling of, and who
used to such harsh endings, the power of words. In a genre that contradicts a novelist
s riches of story explanation, the language in its purest form becomes Shakespeare s
powerful instrument, wherein he controls it with the unusual combination of force,
detail, and correctness.
In Act one, scene one, we are introduced to Gloucester before Lear. We discover
Gloucester recognizing his same deep love between his two sons, the one real and
true, the other illegitimate. The ethical code that lights up King Lear directs that
wrongness signifies only a disadvantage to the harmony of hidden order. In the
phrases of the play, Gloucester s emotion is a lethal imperfection of judgment. Giving
careful attention to language, Gloucester s careless mistake from Edmund s first
appearance; in this present reality, wherein the central
Shake Shack Business Analysis
Shake Shack is an upscale fast food restaurant hybrid, serving burgers, chicken
sandwiches, hot dogs and custard to its customers looking for an upgrade. The fast
food market is changing as more and more consumers are willing to pay higher
prices for higher quality food. With upscale, fresh ingredients being served, Shake
Shack is capitalizing on Chipotles recent struggles and becoming a fast foodgiant.
Shake Shack had small beginnings, as owner Danny Meyer operated a hot dog
cart, with much success, growing from that cart, his new ideas and hard work he
was able to open the first Shake Shack in 2004. In 2015, Shake Shack decided to go
public with its businesses, and it was the right choice. Shares in the company more
than doubled in their
The Perfect Body
Lock, M. and V. K. Nguyen 2010. The Normal Body in An Anthropology of
Biomedicine, UK: Wiley Blackwell, pp 32 56. Example 1: normal embodiment of
the body or The Perfect Body : The 2014 underwear campaign The Perfect Body
launched by Victoria s Secret demonstrates the comercially marketable idea of a
normal body. The knowledge produced about the idea in this case of the normal
body is a standarization female of ideals within modern society. This image is a
representation of the embodiment by society of what an ideal female should look
like and is reflected into this Victoria s Secret advertisement campaign. Drawing on
Lock and Nguyen s (2010) discussion on the natural body this advertisement
presents a powerful example of how an ideal persists as the body is objectified to
conform to a societal ideal in social representations. It also suggests tht the body is
a homogenious space , women are classified and objectified and placed in a category
and this is what the perfect body looks like. The advertisement campaign solidifies
that ideal with the slogan The Perfect Body and does not demonstrate a truthful

Once again the normalisation and idea of standardisation put forward by Lock and
Nguyeon (2010) contributes to the embodiment of usage. By constantly exposing the
population to an action or behaviour they will eventually become used to it and no
longer stigmatise it. Therefore as more violent images are used in everyday media
the population becomes more accepting. (p32 33, 37 38) Futher reading:
The Negative Effects Of Rap Music In Modern Music And
Pop...
When you re king of African music you re the king because music is the king of all
professions (Fela Kuti: Music is the Weapon). Rap music has been a staple in
modern day music and pop culture since its beginning in the 1970 s in the South
Bronx area of New York. Rap started as an underground movement started by many
artists and DJ s (or disc jockeys). It started as a form of expressing oneself and
discussing many social and political issues through music. But now in the 21st
century, rap has changed dramatically to where the meaning of rap is almost entirely
forgotten and squanders to a whole new low. Hip Hop/Rap of this generation now
condones vulgar activities to a young audience which unknowingly causing much
harm. Rap music today is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the music industry, it s very common nowadays for most artists to change their
appearances to a more sexually appealing and risque look to attract fans, money, etc.
These practices of bad imagery are present in hip hop music the most out of all the
genres. Bad imagery in rap is one of the main causes of the exploitation of women
in this country today. Women are being overexposed in rap music whether that
being a sex symbol, gold digger, or a freak . According to Dr. Carolyn West from
the University of Washington, Black girls are not seeing positive images of who
they are and what they be. Looking at sexual imagery really impacts the
functioning of teenage girls (Post Gazette 2). Teenage girls see these women in
various videos and songs and they believe that they should mimic the same actions
that they are portraying. Misogyny is also a present factor in songs like Rake it
Up by Yo Gotti with lines like, I tell all my h***, Rake it up, break it down, bag it
up (Yo Gotti 2017). Songs such as those degrade women and show younger males
how to treat women which is a false teaching toward the younger generation. Teens
can be easily swayed by hip hop to become the imagery shown through hip hop and
become these people which changes their perception on other people and changes
their attitudes.
Though many people don t realize it. rap music is the modern day poetry in present
day society. Just like romanticism in the 1770 s,
Gabriel Garcia Marquez s Hundred Years of Solitude Essay
Gabriel Garcia Marquez wrote One Hundred Years of Solitude originally in
Spanish in 1967 but it has been translated into many different languages ever since
becoming a literary must for some. One Hundred Years of Solitude has much to
offer with hidden meanings and many literary ideas that are expressed in a creative
way. Marquez had a unique style of writing during his time. He wrote with the sense
that magic was real, and everyone should know it and it was a common idea. This
was ever present in One Hundred Years of Solitudewhen many abnormal things
would happen but in the life they had, it was common; such as when insomnia took
over the town and all the people were happy and excited that this phenomena is
taking place. This style of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Solitude presents itself in the literal form and in the emotional or psychological
form. Such ways are present in the story as people are held captive in jail cells, lost
lovers feel empty inside, or Ursula going blind and being left alone in her own
head. In addition the town of Macondo is itself a civilization of isolation. Its
location is separated from any major or small gatherings of people for miles.
Macondo becomes a world of its own; the only one in existence for the people for
all they care to know. With mountain chains and rivers and bodies of water keeping
people alone in Macondo however, people who wish to venture in have at least a
six month journey; Macondo in its entirety represents solitude. The fact that it is
one hundred years also deserves a certain obligation to mull over and think about
during the time it takes to read this novel. However, one hundred years here in this
novel is about as relevant as the event of The Hundred Year War which actually
lasted 116 years. In One Hundred Years of Solitude time seems to be nothing more
than an idea that was once said in a repressed memory. In addition, time seems to
skip around and repeat itself and play tricks on the reader such as the repeating of
names with every new generation. Time seems to take its time in some parts with
sentences that continue on forever never reaching an end, trying to point out certain
Essay The Impact of Technology
The Impact of Technology
With all of the new technology forcing itself into our lives, many of us can t help
but get sucked into the excitement. So as we struggle to figure out where the future
is heading, we ask ourselves is it good or bad? In my opinion, it s a little bit of both.
Everything we do uses technology. The computer that I typed this on is one of
them. On page 28 in the textbook, there is a short story on how much we use
computers daily. Our watches, ATMs, cars, TV s, and Radio s all use computers to
work. Imagine our lives without it. It would be tough, right? People have grown so
used to the advantages of technology, life without it would be difficult for most of
us. Cell phones are a very popular technology. People ... Show more content on

One of the bad uses of technology is used by people who choose to use it for
immoral reasons. There are plenty of news reports about people who use the
internet for child pornography, adult pornography, web predators, and so on. One
report of web predating was in the February 23, 2004 article in the Detroit Free
Press. It tells about two men who were arrested at a Barnes Noble bookstore in
Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. They were arrested because of suspicion of using
the Internet to meet and have sex with a 14 year old girl, after unit members posed
as the girl. The article also said that According to a study by the National Center for
Missing and Exploited Children, one in five children who use the Internet regularly
receives sexual solicitation online. Yet only about one in four young people who are
approached sexually on the Internet tells a parent about the incident.
On page 75 in the textbook, it shows a picture of the new self service POS (Point of
Sale) terminals. It uses a touch screen and lets you put yourself through the
checkout without having to talk to anyone. Some people think it s quicker, but
others may believe that technology may take over supermarkets. Some grocery
stores use POS terminals so they won t have to hire as many employees or to cut
back on how many people they have working at the same time. On page 74 it
explains how Bar Code readers are attached to POS terminals. According to the book

Social Stratification And Its Effects On Race, Gender, And...
In order to visualize the many ways social stratification affects our lives, it is
important to look at individuals. There are so many ways that the factors of
stratification can have an impact on our personal lives. Race, gender, and class are
three of the biggest aspects that play a part in the way our lives function. Each
major decision we make has an effect on society, whether that effect is major or not.
First, I interviewed my father, Edward. He is a middle aged white male, in the
average middle social class. He had a lot of ideas about how race, gender, and class
have affected his life. Some of his responses I do agree with, but from an outsider s
viewpoint, there were all some things which I see differently for him. I first
inquired about what factors Edward personally believes have had an impact on his
social standing. Interestingly enough, the aspects at the top of his list all had to do
with his morals, education, and career. It wasn t until I asked him specifically about
the affect race or gender had that he began to ponder those items as far as their
impact on his life.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My father is a shorter man, and became bald at a very young age. He also has been
considered a nerd all of his life. He told me that he believes this has affected his life
because certain things are expected from men, and there is a certain stereotype
about what a successful man looks like. Edward saw certain positives as well
about being a male in our society. For example, because he is a man and has more
strength than a lot of people, he believes he has been able to enhance his social
standing by helping and associating with certain people of a higher class. (Personal

Disadvantages Of First Time Mothers
There are three types of mothers: the first time, the perfectionist, and the best friend.
First time mothers tend to drastically prepare themselves for the arrival of their baby.
From their journey being pregnant until birth. There are many birthing choices
available, but there are two that are most common. The first one consists of having a
home birth. First time mothersconsider this option because they want to enjoy the
comfort of their home. The second most common choice is giving birth at the
hospital. Being at the hospital gives them a feeling of safety by knowing their
gynecologist is prepared for any possible complications before, during or after birth.
Before that, first time mothers are also prepare a check list on all essentials they
will be needing for their new born baby. Mothers will sit at their computers and
shop online all day adding items in their cart such as cribs, strollers, bottles, baby
monitors, and baby clothes. Once the list is completed, they re able to send the list
to their husband, friends and family members. After purchasing these items, a baby
shower is the next step! A baby shower is a celebration of the arrival of a new born.
The mothers loved ones would bring the gifts the mother specifically requested on her
check list to the celebration in honor of the new addition to the family.
First time mothers can find themselves feeling intimidated after giving birth to their
first newborn. They might ve not spent a lot of time around newborns
Social Benefits Of Video Games
Video games have been around since 1950s and have gone a long way from what
they are today. They are in no doubt a big part of our society and with doing so
they have been criticized by many. Video games come in different categories
which include: action, racing, adventure, role playing, simulation, strategy, and
sports. The purpose of these games can be casual, serious, art, Christian, and
educational. You can play these games on different types of platforms as well to
make it the gamers preference. In today s society, it is common for one to play
video games. Some people play causally and some play professional to make
money. Even though, video games are now mainstream, they are still being
stigmatized and it has been like that since the creation of them. Some people see
video games as a waste of time and that they are unproductive, but after being
studied thoroughly by researchers that is not true; video games are known to have
benefits. It can help children with development and it can help adults perform
better at their job. It can also help people with different disorders. Video games
should not be stigmatized because of the advantages ranging from cognitive to
social benefits for children, people with disabilities, and adults. The social benefit
that gaming has is a way to interact better with others and allows for an alternative
way to learn. Runescape, a well known Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing
Game (MMORPG), has affected the lives of many people because of
Explain Why Medical Services Should Be Free Essay
Imagine if you were poor and had to pay tons of money to the hospital for your
treatments. Would you be happy if you had to depend on money to save your life?
Probably not. Most people aren t happy that medical bills are excessively high and
overpaid, either. Studies show that almost half of insured Americans say rising
medical costs are a huge problem. These bills tend to be the second most common
financial worry among Americans and not having enough money to pay for them.
Your life shouldn t depend on having money and since taxes don t provide medical
benefits, medical services should be free. One reason that medical services should be
free is that most Americans don t have enough money to pay for them. For example,
in the article Worried About... The Financial Impact of Serious Illness? by Dennis
Jacobe, it is said that, ...many insurance policies will not cover certain types of
treatments. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Insurance Deduction proposed in H.R. 2990: HEHS 00 104R, the author explains
that if, ...H.R. 2990 had been the law in 1998, about 39 million people could
potentially have benefited from the proposed tax deduction... H.R. 2990 could have
potentially helped so many people and with this extra money, they could pay for
medical care, if needed. In addition, the article Medicare Home Health Agencies:
Role of Surety Bonds In On Increasing Scrutiny and Reducing Overpayments: HEHS

without a demonstrated commensurately greater benefit. The surety bonds are
supposed to be increasing scrutiny and reducing overpayments, but they haven t
been proved to work and they just make the stress worse. These articles want to
show that overpaid taxes and medical bills are absurd and the laws that are trying to
help, don t make it any
Journalism Bias
The Effects of Journalism Bias in America
A quarter of all young adults in America are cannibals. While this statement is true, it
is wildy misleading. The undoctored statistic is roughly 25% of young adults in
America bite their nails. It is technically not incorrect to depict nail biters as
cannibals, but this type of misleading manipulation completely changes the meaning
of the data. Rephrasing polls or surveys while retaining the same data is just one of
the many ways journalists use deception to mold the news into their desired bias. An
increase in journalism bias has coincided with the political polarization of America,
and the links between the two are frequent. With media as most Americans only way
to stay educated on our nation s issues, any flaws in reporting will have proliferating
effects on the millions of Americans watching. Since the dawn of media journalism, a
bias has existed. Due to shifts within the networks and liberal leaning education, this
bias has grown into an uncontrollable beast that contributes to the harsh political
polarization of America. The creation and prosperity of a widespread journalism bias
is becoming more prevalent, resulting in an extremely partisan public and without
addressing the change, it will soon become a dilemma with no foreseeable method to
reverse or correct the damage.
Background
The media has been used over the past 60 years by writers, producers, actors, and
executives to promote their ideology and mold Americans into

Firstly, the subject matter itself may require a deep understanding of legal concepts and military regulations, as Article 92 typically refers to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and outlines offenses related to the disobedience of orders. To create a well-informed and coherent essay, one must delve into the intricacies of military law and comprehend the specific provisions under Article 92. This may involve extensive research, reading legal texts, and consulting relevant case studies to ensure accurate and comprehensive coverage of the topic. Additionally, conveying complex legal ideas in a clear and concise manner poses another layer of difficulty. Striking a balance between providing detailed information and making the content accessible to a broader audience requires careful consideration of language and structure. • 2. Implications of the Literary Techniques Used in “she being... she being Brand / new by E. E. Cummings In the poem, she being Brand/ new by E.E. Cummings, the writer has chosen to use symbols and unique capitalization in parts of the poem to reference a sexual interaction with a woman. The opening sentence using a capital B in she being Brand/ new (lines 1 2) leads the reader into the idea that the woman he is with is a virgin and untouched. He never speaks of his actual sexual experience, but gives readers an almost humorous ride of his sexual encounter. In lines 10 15, up, slipped the clutch (and then somehow got into reverse she kicked what the hell) next minute I was back in neutral tried and again slow ly; bare, l nudg. Ing readers will see the comparison of car parts not working correctly and having to tinker with them to get them going with that of maybe a new sexual experience not going right. The readers will see that the driver of the car would be considered a little self centered and proud of his sexual abilities by the word choices of Cummings. In 1920 s when this poem was written sex was seen as kind of a naughty, forbidden and sometimes hidden experience, Cummings uses the car to exemplify how the rush of driving a car and the rush a sexual climax are similar. In using the capital O in, her radiator made sure her springs were O (9) Cummings symbolizes the ultimate orgasm. The poem continues throughout with stopping lines and pausing and starting lines much like a car would sputter and
  • 3. The Fate of Our Homeless Animals In our world today, there are countless numbers of homeless animals. Every year, millions of animals are abused. Of those, thousands don t make it. According to the UN, 200 species go extinct every day. In the US alone, more than 1 million animals are run over every day. These are just some the cruel realities that exist in our current state. It may be too late for some, but there is still time, still hope for others. We need to invest more in preventing animal crueltybefore it s too late. We need to speak for those who don t have a voice of their own. First, animals that are used for our entertainment are inhumanely abused. When I was younger, I always dreamed of going to the circus. Seeing clowns and their funny acts, but most of all, I wanted to see the elephants do their amazing tricks. I never did get to go to the circus, but now I have lost all desire to. Once I learned what really was going on, I was outraged. Elephants are dragged away from their mothers shortly after birth and chained for up to 100 hours at a time. Tricks are learned by binding them with ropes, using bull hooks, and even electric shockers on their head. Orcas from SeaWorld are captured from their natural habitat, and those that aren t taken away are killed. In the wild, orcas can live up to 100 years, but in captivity, the average age is only nine. In the wild, dolphins and whales usually swim up to 100 miles a day, where as in SeaWorld, they re kept in tanks that are ,in an oversized dolphin s
  • 4. Jazz Age In The Great Gatsby Perhaps the most interesting element of Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby and the perspective it presents to readers on the 1920 s is how it does so in an irredeemably negative light. One would expect the Jazz age in American history, lovingly called the Roarin 20 s, to be a time of flourishment, success and materialization of the American dream. For many this was the case and for even more it was no more tangible and common than the idea of the nuclear family that would be propagated in the 1950 s. With the style, fads and even the popular choice of music for the time. It s not a difficult sell to imply the Jazz age is the non fiction equivalent of Gatsby s rise and fall in Fitzgerald s novel, or rather the two have come to be symbolic of one another due to how history played out. What I hope to prove here, more than anything, is that the Jazz age as it stands in American history, will always be tied to the success and timelessness of the Fitzgerald novel and how new generations of Americans can be drawn to it s themes. Perhaps the biggest appeal the 20 s gave to those who lived through it was the sense that anyone had the power to control the outcome of their success, directly; a belief in what today we may call pulling oneself up by their bootstraps . Incidentally this is also the philosophy Fitzgerald seems most interested in deconstructing in his novel. Due to success on Wall Street in the stock market as well as public opinion accepting consumerism as the new norm,
  • 5. Story Of Twists And Turns From The Criminal Underworld This is a story of twists and turns from the criminal underworld. It involves a closely knit group that sells poison to unsuspecting victims as an alternative medicine. They have labeled their so called medicine as M.M.S , which they state represents either Miracle Mineral Solution or Miracle Mineral Supplement . It is neither a supplement nor a mineral. It s chlorinebleach. This disturbing topic has been covered here, at The Health Wyze Report, on multiple occasions, but now raids have finally begun, and as a result, more information about the operation of these criminals has become available. Their spokesman, who is publicly the head of the pyramid, is a man named Jim Humble. This name may, or may not be, an alias. Although, he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The M.M.S. product that has been marketed by Humble and his entourage is chlorine dioxide. It was never shipped to customers directly. Instead, customers had to make their own by mixing the shipped sodium chlorite with citric acid, because chlorine dioxide is so unstable that it is explosive. We have learned more about how the game is played, due to raids that took place in 2011, and a set of criminal convictions that finally manifested in 2013. The tale begins and ends with four of Jim Humble s underlings: Louis (Daniel) Smith, Karis Delong, Tammy Olson, and Chris Olson. They began their operation by creating a shell company called Project Greenlife, in 2007. It had multiple websites including projectgreenlife.com, mmsmiracle.com, purestreamhealth.com, and mmsfornewbies.com. All of these sites were meant to create an impression of a legitimate marketplace with honest competition and independent peer reviews for Project Greenlife s medicine . It was a fake network that was used to buoy an equally bogus medical treatment. From our research over a period of many years, all of the involved people are linked to Jim Humble, whose job is to bless the M.M.S. that is sold by his own people. The ring leader of Project Greenlife, Daniel Smith of Spokane, Washington, bought sodium chlorite from a chemical supply company in Utah. Soon after, the chemical company contacted Smith s
  • 6. Media Campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day 2012 Media campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day 2012 Organization Profile The organization asking for assistance with its campaign is a small mental health nonprofit in Singapore. The company operates facilities that provide services to the mentally ill such as counseling, hospital alternative programs, case management, housing assistance, and community outreach. The community outreach branch has been participating in the World Suicide Prevention Day campaigns since they were first organized, but there has been very little participation by the community, or even similar agencies, in this effort. The company has a particular stake in this effort as the mentally ill population in the region is almost three times more likely to commit suicide than an individual who does not claim mental health problems (SingHealth, 2012). Relevant Issues Singapore has its own committee that conducts a local suicide prevention day in March of select years (SingHealth, 2012), so assistance from the county is unlikely other than verbal support. The company does not have a large budget to support the effort and will have to conduct a fund raising drive prior to beginning the campaign to endure that enough funds can be dedicated to the effort. It is possible though that the country will provide some money via a grant. The day itself has not been well publicized in the media in the years preceding this one. This presents an issue in that people do not want to think about the problem and are
  • 7. Deduction In Sherlock Holmes Sherlock Holmes is one of the most popular detectives in world history. His adventures with the wonderful Dr. Watson have taken him to many places around england. But not only has he traveled around the world, but he has traveled around in time too. Sherlock holmes is even more popular that when his first stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doylewere released. Today, there are new spin of books staring the detective, a multitude of movies based off his adventures, but nothing can compare to the fact that he is the spotlight in his own Netflix series. Sherlock, produced by BBC, is an incredibly smart show for everyone. Taking place in modern day england, this show s countless plot twists and endless suspense keeps viewers on the edge of their seat the entire episode. Seeing as it has been about 130 years since the first book was created, this modern day evolution of Sherlock Holmes is a vastly different character from the sherlock from the original novels. There are many differences between the relationship the two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sherlock using the art of deduction can be commonly found within his stories. Weather he is solving the murder mystery of the century, of figuring out what Dr. Watson had for breakfast, he is constantly using it. Though deduction is a big part of his investigative process, Sherlock doesn t only use his mind. The Sherlock from Sherlock has access to much more resources such as DNA testing, super powerful microscopes, and access to all sorts of substances, than the sherlock from the original novels, and only for one reason. Sherlock takes place in modern day whereas the original novels were written and take place in the 1800s. For that reason, the sherlock from the show can use different techniques for solving crimes than the Sherlock from the books by Sir Arthur Conan
  • 8. The Polar Express All Aboard! : A Comparison and Contrast of The Polar Express Book and Movie The Polar Express is a classic children s Christmas story written by acclaimed author Chris Von Allsburg. Chris Von Allsburg writes and illustrates all of his books and won the Caldecott medal for The Polar Express. The Polar Express is a Christmas story of getting a kid to believe in Santa. The boy climbs aboard a train to go to the North Poleto see Santa. He is the one chosen to receive the first gift of Christmas, which was a silver bell off of the reindeers. He cannot hear it at first, but then he finally lets himself believe in Santa and can hear the bell for the rest of his life. The movie The Polar Express is the only adaptation that has been made from the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also in the movie the train almost had an accident unlike the book. They put this in the movie so it could build up to that scene as a climax to scare the viewers that something might happen. In the trailer for the movie, it even shows the train getting into an accident so the viewers will want to go see what happens to the train. As well as the movie adding the songs, it also added the kids getting a special ticket. Each child had a certain a letter at the beginning of their train ride, punched by the conductor. When the kids were done experiencing the North Pole, the conductor punched out a word pertaining to each kid. The main kid got the word believe punched into his ticket because he did not believe in Santa at the beginning of the movie. The African American girl got leader punched into her ticket because she was the one that always knew what to do. The poor boy, Billy, also got believe because he didn t think Santa was real either. This leads into the most important difference between the book and the movie. In the movie it depicts that going to the North Pole to see Santa was all a dream, while in the book it made it all seem real. When children go see this movie, they might think that since the boy is having a dream that Santa must not be real. A lot of research has been done about kids believing in Santa. Gail Vines wrote about the Santa delusion from psychologist s perspectives. According to Gail Vines (2007), children are able to
  • 9. Ralph Waldo Emerson Quotes Quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail describes me because I liked to venture into the unknown, the thought of not knowing the outcome of your choice always intrigued me. The idea of carving your own path or choices and leaving it for theirs take is fascinating. From an early childhood, I loved doing things my own way, not because I wanted to be ignorant, rude or stubborn. I just want to take my own way, taking an obvious path has no rewarding factor, no excitement or thrill. For example, during kindergarten, I was assigned a simple task to bring in something you liked and share it with a class. Normal you have several common option of bringing a favorite toy or a book. I in the other had taken my neighbor s dog without asking the owner. My school was a walking distance so I walked with the dog and came into class with the dog. The teacher was concerned with me because I managed to sneak in a dog into the class. Of course, I got in trouble but in my mind I was just following my teachers request to bring something I liked. • 10. Staff Motivation at Sharp Healthcare Staff Motivation at Sharp HealthCare Mahzad Farahani California State University of East Bay Professor Jay Umeh 10/22/2014 Abstract The main goal of Sharp Healthcare is to increase employees, physicians, and patient satisfaction as well as providing quality care. They believe that in order for the facility to be successful, it has to have motivated staff who provide quality care. At Sharp Health Care, they believe in open communication among the staff, which can be argued to be a weak approach. It can also be argued that Sharp Healthcare can be rewarding their staff so that they can improve their performance further. Overall, Sharp approach to motivate its staff is a great innovation and it will be great if it is replicated in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, only two of the five behaviors and actions are related to employee motivation. The most relevant of two requires managerial level employees to foster an attitude of gratitude and send thank you notes to other deserving employees. A recent study by MarketTools Inc. for Globoforce confirms that a lack of sincere recognition provided to employees is a leading cause of turnover. The study identifies a solid correlation between the level of recognition delivered by managers and the loyalty of their direct reports (Sun). Thus, thank you notes are cheap and simple yet sincere and an effective way of showing recognition to employees which will increase their loyalty and motivation. RE RECRUITING EMPLOYEES One of the tools Sharp managers use to retain the employees is re recruitment of current employees rather than new ones. Re recruiting recognizes employees for their contributions, renews their sense of self worth and loyalty, and ensures their longevity. The management places employees in three different categories based on their performance. The categories include great, good and low performing employees. The management meets with employees in each category individually. However, when they meet with their great performers, they let them know they are a valuable asset to
  • 11. The Policy Impact On The Real Estate Industry The Policy Impact on the Real Estate Monopolist in China Just a couple weeks ago, many cities in China have begun to loosen the restriction. In China, 2010, Chinese central government issued a housing restriction policy, which limited families purchase of housing and commercial loans for the real estate companies. It supposed to control the demand of the real estate, and lower the housing price. However, after following this policy for 4 years. The housing price still keeps growing. Many small real estate companies were heavily effect by this policy. Some of them had exited this market. However, the financial statements from several big real estate companies in China indicated that these companies were making more profit and experiencing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second reason is the monopoly in land supply. In China, lands are owned by state. Government is the only supplier in land market. In many cities, the land auctions are a major source of fiscal income. For profit oriented land finance of local government, the government actually controls the price of land by controlling the quantity of supply. With the price much higher than it should be, new entrants cannot afford it or make profit by using it. In an auction notification in 2014 in Shenzhen (one of the biggest cities in China), a parcel of land with a permitted construction area of 500000 square meters was given a starting price of 6.72 billion yuan (1.1 billion dollar). In fact, even after the auction, the land is still owned by state, the company just gets the right to use it for 75 years or shorter. The third reason is the imperfect dissemination of information. The housing information is mainly control by the companies. Many of the information are not released. For example, all the information we can access is the total average price and trading volume. Obviously, the companies have more information than ordinary people. Before the government regulation in 2010, there are many real estate companies in the market. For example, even some breweries engaged in real estate. It seems like a competitive market will many buyers and sellers. The regulation policy in 2010

As such it is interesting that many Archaeologists still believe in the Bering Strait Land Bridge theory, while I am by no means an Archaeologist or even an individual with a college degree. The Bering Strait theory has several holes in it, as was discussed in the lecture in class. What baffles me personally the most is the fact that some Archaeologists ignore evidence. After all Archaeologists have to make hypotheses and theories are only a few artifacts or sites, doesn t mean they should ignore certain artifacts or sites that don t agree with their theories. It is a commitment by humans to work together to protect and restore those species that are most at risk of extinction. Unfortunately, the natural systems we depend on are at risk, and plants and animals worldwide are disappearing. In the United States alone hundreds of plant and animal species have become extinct since the time of the first settlers. There two federal agencies that are in charge of the act are the Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. A species is considered for protection under the ESA when a high portion of the species is likely to become endangered in a foreseeable time. Overall there are about 2,200 species that are listed as endangered or threatened under the ESA and of these about 600 are foreign found species. The main goal of the ESA is to prevent jeopardized animals and plants from becoming extinct and removing or decreasing any threat to their survival. It is important to make sure that no species die out so as to not upset the environmental balance. When we protect all species, we are protecting the entire habitat, therefore, we are maintaining the safety of our own environment as humans. One of the rarest members of the bear family is

In Can We Know the Universe, Sagan uses a grain of salt to support his theory. Both Plato and Sagan make interesting points to support their theories. Plato s Allegory of the Cave makes a better case for his point of view that humans are most happy in the world of shadows where the truth is provided for us. In Allegory of the Cave he states: Being self taught, they cannot be expected to show any gratitude for a culture which they have never received (Plato 205). He gives a great example by using the people in the cave. In the cave with only a light of fire and no way to move around, it is no way of knowing that what they see or hear is in fact real. Until someone can teach them about the shadows, they have no way of knowing the truth about them. Outer space can be used as another example. Not everyone has the opportunity or interest ... There had been conflicts between Eastern and Western medicine for a long time. Eastern medicine is viewed by many people in the West as having no validity and makes little sense to those who view the body in parts and pieces. Eastern medicinehas long viewed the body as mind, body and spirit as one entity. To understand the ideas of each Eastern and Western medicine its history has to be taken into consideration Hippocrates, a physician of Greece believed in scientific reasoning and the power of natural healing his belief continued until the 19th century (2300 years). During the second century Galan, another Greek physician was the first to promote the key to healing and soon every health problem were fit into a classification (as it is today). Lots of people party on the Fourth of July and things tend to go wrong every now and then but it does not usually stop people from partying. In our case it did hinder the festivities. What could have happened that was so bad that we quit going? This is the story of the time a drunk man shot fireworksat children. Fourth of July is a big holiday for many Americans. We celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence from England in 1776. Most people celebrate by watching firework displays or setting of some themselves, if the weather and laws permit. America is a nation full of pyromaniacs. Who could blame us? Fire is fun. Fire is not the only fun thing about the Fourth though. Cookouts and parties are common, as is alcohol. In this essay I am going to discuss what made the features on the cave so special? And why were they made? The stunning prehistoric cave art at Altamira was decorated between 13,000 and 14,000 years ago. It was first discovered by Marcelino sanz de sautuola and his daughter Maria He tried to bring attention to the old art at Altamira, for its drawing of animals. The animals that were drawn were aurochs, horses, ibexes, and boar. The art features were so special; the uneven contours of the rock give the animals almost a three dimensional presence. The animals pasture, the colors were mostly red and black, and the shading was also in colors which were yellow, brown, purple and white. The art was so powerfully the contemporaries thought the paintings were not authentic because of how well it was drawn. They believed someone else have drawn the art. Go to my father, as I have said, and be the most confidential of my messengers. Tell him to trust you with the means to buy the freedom of his daughters. The Roman Empire And The Rise And Fall Of The Papacy For centuries the Vatican has occupied a unique position in history, exercising both sacred and secular power in activities that have generated as much fascination as controversy. Yet, for most people it remains a mysterious institution. One whose motives and maneuvers are not easily understood. From the struggles of the very first Christians to the challenges and scandals of today, the Catholic Church has wrestled with how to organize itself, express its beliefs, and nurture its members. The church has grown from a handful of disciples in the first century to over one billion members in the twenty first, resulting in profound changes that demand a theological response. A candid but rational inquiry into the progress and establishment of Christianity may be considered a very essential part of the history of the Roman Empire and the rise and fall of the papacy. The history of the Papacy began over two thousand years ago with the reign of John Paul II. Peter, the humble fisherman of Galilee and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, became the figure head and the basis for the institution that has outlined not only the Roman and Byzantine empires but also the Carolingian Gaul, medieval Germany, Spain, Britain, the Third Reich of Hitler, and the Soviet Union. Jesus tells Peter, And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:

Baumol recognizes that since it is large organizations that are most likely to be competitors within an oligopoly, then the chains of control and decision making are likely to be elongated. It is therefore considered that more likely that it will take longer to arrive at and implement decisions within such organizations than within smaller competitors. Within the market, it is claimed that there is tacit collusion between organizations to maintain the status quo. These incumbents, once the oligopoly has settled down into an equilibrium position, are able to enjoy a quiet life and split the profits between them. Additionally, there may be a general lack of interest on the part of organizations to compete in their markets unless actions are undertaken by others to upset the current situation. Other justifications for the sales revenue maximization model include: The imposition of a minimum profit constraint on management by shareholders ensures that their concerns are met, while it would be more difficult to set and measure a maximum requirement. Studying Shakespeare can, sometimes, seem to be interpreted as an insincere activity, performed only to impress literature enthusiasts. But, there are instances when one goes over entries that, by the extreme power of their magnificence, jump off the page and echo so definitely inside one s thoughts that they turn into a sort of making better of the whole play. One can read King Learover and over, and still be struck once more by Shakespeare s complete and total control over language; without a doubt, no other author had so full a feeling of, and who used to such harsh endings, the power of words. In a genre that contradicts a novelist s riches of story explanation, the language in its purest form becomes Shakespeare s powerful instrument, wherein he controls it with the unusual combination of force, detail, and correctness. In Act one, scene one, we are introduced to Gloucester before Lear. We discover Gloucester recognizing his same deep love between his two sons, the one real and true, the other illegitimate. The ethical code that lights up King Lear directs that wrongness signifies only a disadvantage to the harmony of hidden order. According to Dr. Carolyn West from the University of Washington, Black girls are not seeing positive images of who they are and what they be. Looking at sexual imagery really impacts the functioning of teenage girls (Post Gazette 2).
