Arguments Against Capital Punishment
Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "Arguments Against Capital Punishment" presents a challenging
task that demands a delicate balance between emotional sensitivity and logical reasoning. The
subject is inherently contentious, evoking strong opinions on both sides, making it intricate to
navigate through the plethora of perspectives. Addressing the ethical, moral, legal, and societal
dimensions requires a comprehensive understanding of the intricate web of factors that contribute
to the discourse.
To begin, delving into the historical context of capital punishment and its evolution over time is
essential. Analyzing its implementation across different societies and legal systems adds layers of
complexity, demanding a nuanced approach. As one explores the moral objections,
considerations of human rights, and the potential for judicial errors, the writer must navigate
through a maze of intricacies.
Constructing a compelling argument against capital punishment requires a meticulous
examination of statistical data, case studies, and scholarly research. The writer needs to
synthesize information from various sources to present a cohesive and persuasive narrative.
Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and anticipating rebuttals demands an extra layer of
intellectual rigor, as this topic tends to evoke strong convictions on both sides.
The emotional weight attached to capital punishment necessitates a tactful approach,
acknowledging the gravity of the subject without succumbing to overt emotionalism. Balancing
empathy for the victims and their families with a critical analysis of the system's flaws is a
tightrope walk that the essayist must navigate with finesse.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the arguments against capital punishment is akin to navigating
a minefield of sensitive topics and complex arguments. It requires a writer to skillfully blend
emotional intelligence with logical acumen, incorporating historical context, ethical
considerations, legal intricacies, and empirical evidence. Successfully weaving these elements
into a cohesive narrative demands diligence, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the
subject matter.

Essay On Family Guy
What is your favorite Family Guy character? One of the comedic geniuses of this
animated show is the way that they provide characterization for each of the main
members of the Griffin family. Lois, Peter, Brian, Stewie, Meg and Chris all have
unique personalities and the show capitalizes on that for their comedy. Peter Peter
is a bumbling blue collar worker who is always engaging in a variety of wacky
situations. He is only moderately intelligent. The show often focuses on an issue
that Peter has in some regard. Lois Lois is Peter s wife and comes from a very
wealthy family. She is more intelligent and has more common sense than Peter. Meg
Meg is the daughter of Peter and Lois. She is socially awkward and does not have
very many friends.

Examine Eliot s treatment of women in Prufrock, Preludes, Portrait of a Lady and
Rhapsody on a Windy Night
In all four of the poems; Prufrock , Preludes , Portrait of a
Lady and Rhapsody on a Windy Night , Eliot makes references to women. Eliot
seems to treat women almost as objects to either be looked at with wonder and, at
times, fascination or as objects to be scorned upon. In all of the poems Eliot makes
the voice of the poem slightly distanced from the women and this, to me, makes the
women seem almost untouchable.
When looking at the poem Prufrock we must first notice that the full title is The
Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock. This title seems almost ironic as, after reading the
poem, we realise that the poem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Portrait of a
Lady has a very dramatic structure a one sided dialogue, in which the lady speaks
and her visitor silently comments ably shows us
Eliot s clear views in this poem about women, and in Portrait of a
Lady the tone suggests that he feels women are false note(s). The dialogue of the
woman is very pretentious with lines such as So intimate, this Chopin, that I think his
soul / Should be resurrected only among friends and Without these friendships life,
what cauchemar! By having the lady speak French Eliot suggests that he perceives
this woman to be trying too hard and this makes us think of the woman as if she is
putting on a mask rather than being herself; this is one of the main themes which is
interwoven into Eliot s poetry. The poem Preludes portrays women in a very different
light to
Prufrock and Portrait of a Lady . In Preludes Eliot draws influence from Baudelaire
who wrote about the more sordid aspects of the modern metropolis, and it would
seem that in Preludes women can almost be included in these sordid aspects. Eliot
talks about a woman in the third stanza of the poem, and it would appear that the
woman is a prostitute. Writing about a prostitute, he presents to us a more sordid
side of women. In Preludes , Eliot s view is almost degrading and at times Eliot
presents an ashamed tone when he says

The Media and Body Image Essay
Mass media is designed to reach large audiences with technology. Its purpose is
meant to give us entertainment and information we need to act as a society. Media
is everywhere; there is no escaping from it. Almost every home in America has at
least one TV, the internet, and a cell phone. You cannot drive down the street
without seeing billboard signs. Checking out at the grocery store can be tricky if
trying to avoid magazines. There are more forms of media available today then ever
before; consequently, teens are exposed to a lot of information. The media is
supposed to portray what is normal; therefore, it affects what society considers
normal. Teens are much more impressionable then adults. What the media tells them
is normal affects... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In reality the media is not showing the real picture of the diverse world we live in.
According to the online recourse Common Sense Media, 74 percent of characters
on TV are Caucasian, and 64 percent of video games characters are males. In reality
most of the images teens see in the media are edited, photo shopped, or enhanced
with special effects. Even though a teen may be aware of this fact, seeing the
stereotyped image still has an affect on their body image. Often teens are not being
educated about sex; therefore, are learning about if from porn, or other forms of
media. The encouragement of sexual behavior is widely displayed in the media.
Sex is being portrayed as more casual, without commitment, contraception, or
consequences. Teen dramas and music videos portray the cool kids as the ones
have sexual relations. The casual attitude about sex has sparked a new trend
involving cell phones called Sexting. This is when a teen takes a nude photo with
their mobile phone and sends it to another mobile phone. It is against the law to
view and distribute child porn; because teens are minors, sexting is considered just
that. Sexting is very dangerous, because teens unknowingly set themselves up for a
criminal record. The internet is becoming a very popular place to meet and make
friends. MySpace and Facebook have become very popular social websites. Teens
feel pressure to portray themselves in seductive ways, to be like the teens
Snow By Julia Alvarez Summary
Snow Activity In the Snow by Julia Alvarez, Yolando, an immigrant, describes the
world around her during a time of war. She notes that the English words that she is
picks up or learns at school are all related to war. She is fascinated yet scared with
her surroundings. My first impression Yolando s experience is similar to an Asian
immigrant just arriving to the United States trying to transition to their new home .
Even though I can t relate to her in the aspect of living in a time of war, I do relate to
her about curiosity about the her new environment. After reading the story, I thought
that life during that time was difficult and crazy. Throughout the story, Julia Alvarez
uses vivid imagery and similes to convey Yolando s experience
The Religion Of The Holy Trinity
Catholic trust that since Adam and Eve defied God in the Garden of Eden, all
people are conceived with original sin, which just Baptism takes away. A more
satisfied belief is in elegance, a thoroughly free, ridiculous blessing from God.
Effortlessness is a partaking in the celestial; the motivation to do God s will.
Catholics recognize the unity of body and soul for human. So the entire religion
relies or centers on reality that mankind remains between the two universes of
matter and soul. The physical world is considered some portion of God s creation
and is, in this manner, naturally great until an individual abuses it.The Bible is the
roused, mistake free, and uncovered expression of God. Absolution, the custom of
turning into a Christian, is important for salvation whether the Baptism happens by
water, blood, or longing. God s Ten Commandments give an religious compass or a
standard to live by. The presence of the Holy Trinityone God in three persons.
Catholics grasp the conviction that God, the one Supreme Being, is comprised of
three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Christianity
The focal teachings of customary Christianity are that Jesus is the Son of God, the
second individual of the Trinity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that
his life on earth, his torturous killing, restoration, and climb into paradise are
confirmation of God s adoration for mankind and God s pardoning of human sins;

Lastly, although not an easily overcome controversial challenge that this community
was forced to face was ultimately the trial of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.
Due to the psychological stress this incident rooted in a portion of the people
involved, it is understandable to comprehend why the judicial process of these two
individuals caused issues to some extent. Eventually with the conclusion of the legal
process, the strenuous atmosphere surrounding the trial, and ultimately the
completion of the Oklahoma City National Memorial to honor those lives lost that
day, the last challenge this community face was overcome.

The Science Of Good Deed
Kindness is the act of being friendly or generous to others. We as people can choose
to hurt or help people by our actions, but most of us choose to help. When we are
kind, we don t take advantage of our power, we want to comfort, encourage and
strengthen those around us. In the article, The Science of Good Deeds the author
states that, kindness is a key ingredient that enhances positivity and helps children
feel good about themselves as it increases serotonin levels. My example explains
that to have a positive attitude about what you do helps you and others feel good

perfectionistic characteristic bring them lots of pressure ,so they choose to leave DJI.
From my perspective, Tao Wang should hire some experienced managers to assistant
him to manage his employees as well as some specific but less important things.
Afterwards, he can have enough time to focus on planning the further development of
DJI. Also, it is suggestive for Tao Wang to engaged some technical advisers ,so that
the DJI can have the better products.
I am firmly convinced that Tao Wang would be more successful if he can improve

Needless to say that to do business in the current globalized economy, business
partners need to communicate effectively in a given language. But communication
requires much more than a solid knowledge of a language. Becoming
communicatively competent in a foreign or second language implies more than being
able to speak fluently and accurately. Being communicatively competent in a
language requires having not only good linguistic knowledge but also knowledge of
the culture that is beneath that language, the culture that this particular language

student may gain by studying philosophy. A student may gain several benefits from
studying philosophy. For instance, students may learn how to evaluate arguments,
analyze ideas and draw individual conclusions. Philosophy teaches how to make

it s too cold outside, and the only reason for leaving the house is needing
something out if the car. While we stay inside, my peer s family goes outside and

economic growth of all countries associated with them. ASEAN stands for
Association of Southeast Asian Nations and includes countries such as Thailand,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand along of course with
Australia. APEC is the Asia Pacific Economic Corporation and they focus on

The Australian Government s engagement with Burma was for many years limited
by the nature of the ruling military regime there. Nonetheless, Australia consistently
expressed concerns over Burma s human rights record and delivered humanitarian aid.
The Australian Government maintains an embassy in the former capital and
commercial centre of Rangoon (Yangon). Australia maintains a longstanding ban on
defence exports to Burma. On 7 June 2012, Senator Carr announced that Australia
would lift its autonomous travel and financial sanctions on Burma, in order to lend

Sports And Sports For Constructive Alternatives
This March, the Center for Constructive Alternatives series dealt with the topic of
Sport and Character. In today s age, sport and sporting events have become pinnacles
of American entertainment, money, and paparazzi. One is inundated with constant
updates regarding football scores, feuds between athletes, and controversy over
refereeing. With sportbeing such a focus in media and society, it often seems that
sport and character are incompatible. Too often one sees an athlete get caught using
illegal performance enhancing drugs, having an affair, or lying and cheating. Sport
appears to be just like any other secular and commercial entertainment: decadent,

Novak then criticized the current news and sports media of today. Upset at how the
media were currently portraying sports, he derided the journalists as amateur social
scientists. Instead of trying to pigeon hole sports into some social science or social
experiment , sport should be seen as rituals concerning human survival on this planet:
liturgical enactments of animal perfection and the struggles of the human spirit to
prevail. As Mr. Novak showcased throughout his lecture, sport captures the struggle of
man throughout history. This struggle is personified through the linebacker tackling
the halfback, the pitcher recomposing himself after giving up a run, or a runner
shaking off cramping as she attempts to complete the marathon. Sports are the human

Mr. Schilling s talk set a tone unlike any other. That night, he presented a striking

Two Kinds Mother
As we grow up, our mothers have played a significant impact on who we will
become in our life. Our mothers have been there for us when it seems that our world
are crumbling, when we are feeling sick with a stomach bug, but most importantly,
our mothers will always be there when we need them the most. In Two Kinds by Amy
Tan, it starts out with a motherwho only wants to live the American Dream. After
losing her familyin China, she comes to America with her daughter with the hopes
of reclaiming the loss of her family through the eyes of her daughter. As a little girl
Ni kan does as her mother dreams of but as the daughter get older she become
disobedient towards her mother. In the beginning, Ni Kan became just as excited as
her mother, maybe even more so at the idea of her becoming a prodigy (Tan, 223).
She could imagine herself with many different talents and she felt that once she
became perfect, (Tan, 223) her parents will never be disappointed with her.
Unfortunately, her mother has become so demanding of her that she is forced to take
daily tests at home. Ni Kan tells of the tests are harder multiplying numbers in my
head without using my hands, predicting the daily temperature in Los Angeles, New
York, and London (Tan, 223). Ultimately, her mother talked her into taking piano
lessons, this became the mother s center of her judgement. As the story continues to
reveal the many conflicts between mother and daughter. Ni Kan explains of the

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, also known as LGBT population
have experienced a great deal of oppression worldwide. These particular individuals
undergo discrimination from society, whether for reasons of ignorance, fear or
intolerance, this population faces challenges in multiple areas of social justice sexual.
Although the LGBTculture has made some strides in the areas of state and federal
legislation, there is still a wide range of criminalization that takes place within our
culture. Understanding the LGBT community and the history of their oppression may
be the first step in becoming culturally competent. For many years this culture was
denied their basic constitutional rights that were afforded to their equal heterosexual
peers. Basic rights such as, adoption and marriage were uncommon to this culture
until the 20th century.
Personal Views
There are several religions which condemns the notion of homosexuality. Growing up
in a Christian household I was taught that being homosexual is a sin in the sight of
God. For example, in Jamaica my family practiced Pentecostal religion where they
are very passionate about their traditions. There were unspoken beliefs that
homosexuals were to be punished for their sexual practices. This belief followed me
to the United States. Even though we went to a Baptist Church, the teachings were
the same. I held on to this religious belief for many years and lived my life in a way
that was conducive to my religion.
Examples Of Guilt In Macbeth
Guilt Has Whips and Stings
Nicholas Rowe once said that Guilt is the source of sorrows, the avenging fiend that
follow us behind with whips and stings . Nicholas Rowe states that guilt causes pain
and grief through the conscience/mind. After feeling guilt, the guilt will cause pain
each day following one around, Nicholas Rowe uses a metaphor to emphasise the
pain that guilt can cause. Even kings, evil beings and murderers can not beat guilt. In
the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare and the short story Tell Tale heart by
Edgar Allen Poe shows that, the beginning of one s guilt is ignored but after, it comes
to haunt one until the point of insanity or death. Macbeth and lady Macbeth are both

Firstly, the person in Macbeth that was a serious victim of guilt was Lady Macbeth.
Lady Macbeth went more insane than Macbeth even though she did not kill anyone.
She was overwhelmed by guilt causing her conscience to see creepy fake illusions.
The unnamed narrator insanity was caused by beating of the old man hideous
heart and his evil eye, both characters use symbolism to symbolizes the malicious
of both the old mans that ruined their lives. Lady Macbeth is scared when she sees
her hands covered in blood, when Lady Macbeth did the murder she did not
believe that it would harm her afterwards but it did which made her lose her mind.
Lady Macbeth says Out, damned spot! Out, I say! One; two: why/ then tis time to
don t. Hell is murky. Fie my lord, / fie! a solider and afeard? What need we hear
who know/ it, when none can call our power to account? Yet who/ would have

feels responsible for Macbeths insanity; with his insanity she also went insane. Lady
Macbeth sleeps walks and starts washing her hands without water unconscious. The
blood on her hand symbolizes her guilt and Duncan s blood. She also feels like what
she is going through is like Hell,
Symbolism In The Great Gatsby
My family is my strength and my weakness , Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says this
because family is a huge part of life and it can always be difficult, but can also be
wonderful at times. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a short story
wonderfully written by F. Scott Fitzgerald about the complicated life of an old kid
named Benjamin Button. Benjamin dealt with a lot of hardships throughout his
tough life mainly because he had an extremely rare situation where he aged
backward. Benjamin s familywas very tough on him because he was not a normal
case but at the end they always stuck with him. Through the use of symbolism,
characterization, and irony, the author establishes the theme of family is always the

Scott Fitzgerald portrayed the theme of family is always the number one priority
no matter what the circumstances are by using symbolism. One example of how
he portrayed symbolism was when Roger Button goes shopping for clothing for
his son. He is having a lot of trouble finding clothes for a 70 year old man because
he is looking in the boy s section for his newborn son who is actually old.
Benjamin s father ends up buying him an extremely fancy dress suit with dotted
socks, pink pants, and a belted blouse with a wide white collar. This fancy dress suit
symbolizes that Roger wanted him to be an identity that he really wasn t. His father
was trying to make his son a young man that he wasn t and it shows that it
symbolizes the family s wealth because it was an extremely fancy suit. Although
Roger wished he could put his newborn child in a blanket instead of going to buy
actual clothing he dealt with the situation and bought him a dress suit, which showed
his care for Benjamin, which portrayed the theme of
The Homefront And The Battlefront
The Homefront and the battlefront was one and the same for many of the American
populace. Whether they be Northerners or Southerners the families fared much the
same. They sent husbands, sons, fathers and brothers off to fight for their respected
sides. The families left behind were very curious of the battles results and soldiers
whereabouts as well as their state of health. They often sent messages to the
battlefront. Many times this was in vain for the transportation networks were
disrupted by the very nature of a civil war. The few messages the families received in
return from the warfront were cherished. The women and young children were
curious to the specifics of the battle. As casualties grew more numerous the families

The social institutions suffered as well. Schools and churches closed due to the

railroads in particular, drew the attention of both the Confederacy and Union. By
the end of the war, Tennessee had over 3,000 incidents of combat, second only to
Virginia. Living on war turf was no easy task and definitely not for the faint of heart.
People who witnessed battles and skirmishes in their communities were devastated
by the loss of life and the destruction around them. From the roar of cannons to the
cries of the wounded, the sounds of the Civil War shook people to the core, and the
sights that confronted those who ventured onto the battlefield after the fighting were
even worse. The larger battles in Tennessee provided more wounded soldiers than
locals could even fathom to care for, much less bury the dead. In areas out of military
control guerilla fighters attacked the opposing side, even in the light of day these
troops fought. Petty arguments often fueled such violence. Perhaps most notorious in
Tennessee was the feud between Confederate

Wilson And La Folette
Wilson explained the need for U.S. entrance into the war by stating that remaining
neutral was no longer an option if world peace, justice, and individuals freedoms were
threatened. According to him, the menace that threatened these precious principles
involved autocratic governments backed by organized force which is controlled
wholly by their will, not by the will of their people (Wilson 1917). With this mindset,
Wilson justified that Americans ultimately fought for the security of democracy, the
principle in which their nation was built on. As a result, U.S. involvement would
encompass securing the peace of the world and affirming the rights of individuals and
nations to practice self determination. 4. Why did both La Follette and the... Show

However, increasing aggression from Germany (sinking neutral ships without
warning such as the Lusitania) progressively turned the American public against
them; the Zimmerman Telegram in particular sparked great outcry. As a result, many
supported the declaration of war during this point in time. In contrast, La Folette s
speech reflected others anti war sentiments. Referendums sent to La Folette indicated
opposition from different groups across the country, notably from German Americans
and reformers. He used the results of these referendums to claim that the federal
government waged war despite not having popular support. As a Progressive, La
Folette himself disputed Wilson s speech, believing that the war would take attention
away from domestic reforms. In addition to this, he criticized American leniency
towards British violations despite claims of neutrality by arguing, Any neutral nation,
in order to preserve its character as a neutral nation, must exact the same conduct
from both warring nations; both must equally obey the principles of international law.
Furthermore, he detected hypocrisy in declaring war in the name of democracy yet
working with an imperialist nation since Wilson did not intend for Britain to grant its
colonies
The Notion Of Purchasing Power Parity
A.Discuss the notion of purchasing power parity (PPP) (10 marks) 300 words
Purchasing power parity (PPP) was developed as the theory of exchange rate
determination, which was the basis for the relationship between product price levels
and exchange rates and is now primarily used to compare living standards across
countries (CFA, 2015).
The foundation version of PPP was based on the assumption that identical goods
should trade at the same price across countries when valued in terms of a common
currency. This is known as the law of one price and derived from the no arbitrage
assumption (Dornbush, 1985; Taylor and Taylor, 2004; CFA, 2015). It means that a
bundle of goods and services would cost the same in two countries when the ... Show

Absolute PPP is the extended version of the law of one price with all goods and
services consumed in different countries instead of one single good (CFA, 2015).
Absolute PPP is expressed as ( ). The absolute PPP asserts that the current spot rate
is determined by the ratio of national price levels, although like the one price theory
struggles in actual application (Alba and Papell, 2007; Alessandria, and Kaboski,
2011). An example of the average price for a Big Mac was $4.79 in January 2015 in
the US whereas at market exchange rate in China it was only $2.77, showing that
China yuan is undervalued compared to US dollar. This has reduced the Absolute
PPP s usefulness as the theory of exchange rate determination.
On the other hand, the Relative and Ex Ante PPP implies that exchanged rate
between two countries is affected by their inflation rates and expressed as (CFA,
2015). In the long run, the relative PPP predicts that countries with a low inflation
rate have currency s that tend to appreciate and conversely with countries that have a
high inflation rate; and the % change in exchange rate will equal the % difference in
national inflation rates (Baffes, 1991; Taylor and Taylor, 2004).
Although shot term, nominal exchange rates could be volatile but over the long run
will tend to gravitate toward PPP equilibrium values (Yotopoulos and Sawada, 2006;
Papell and Prodan, 2006). Hence PPP could be seen as a vale

my hardest to focus in class, pay attention to all directions and complete all of my

completed my goal.
The last goal definitely not all of my successes but last one for the paragraph is,
making a team for sports team. I made the top team for soccer in the soccer club so I

Aristophanes Is The Father Of Old Comedy
Aristophanes is the father of old comedy (K.J Dover). Cicero speaks of him as the
most facetious poet of the old comedy . Aristophanes wrote in a specific genre of
literature that Vector Ehrenberg named Old Attic Comedy (1) which was composed
and performed in Athens during the fifth and fourth centuries BC. The exact
beginning of the Attic Comedy(1) is scarcely known but the word comedy is derived
from a Greek word komodia that means singing and dancing. In the introduction to
Aristophanes3, Ralph M. Rosen has explained the origin of this word: Komodia
means a komos song where the komos refers to a group of men, often costumed, who
entertained audiences with song and dance at various festive occasions (9). He seems
to have been the first to transform comedy, which was still wondering erratically in its
early stages of development, into something more morally serious and worthwhile
(23).
Aristophanes extant comedies are a social, political and literal rendering. Although
tragedy was also performed at that time, it does not tell us about socio political
matters because of its formal structure and extravagant diction. Comedy performed
that function conveniently. Rosen indicates comic diction was far less formal and
stylized than tragedy. Old comedy, therefore, could reflect... Show more content on

lyricism and crude lewdness. Comedy is flexible genre and has ability to mold the

Bradley s painting seems to show what landscapes are like presently even if it was
created in the late 1900 s. The construction, the entertainment by the dancers express
that Bradley believes that India is more of a tourist spot now. It is not appreciated
for its beauty anymore. People come to watch the traditional dances, not participate.
They come and go, they do not usually settle. But he does show a person shooting an

a pure genesis at crafting this literary technique to a tee. Finally, we will see how the
events going on during the late 1800 s affected Twain s writing, and how Twain

Essay on Western Influence on Chinese Music
Western Influence on Chinese Music
China has long been the cultural hub of Asia, and has had the longest amount of
contact of any Asian country with other Western countries. Ever since the Silk Road
was established, China has been trading with other Western countries and exchanging
aspects of their cultures with one another. One of these aspects is music. But how
exactly has Western music influenced Chinese music? In order to understand this, we
must look at the history of Western encounters with China in terms of music.
European music was first introduced into China during the thirteenth century, which
was part of the Yuan dynasty of China. Catholic missionaries introduced Western
music to the Chinese imperial court. Soon, the ... Show more content on

She and the Chinese pop music industry flourished in China until the 1950s, when
the Communist regime led by Mao took over. Pop music was replaced with
revolutionary music with government propaganda, which caused the pop industry to
move to Taiwan and Hong Kong. This new musical presence in Hong Kong indirectly
led to the creation of Cantonese popular music, also known as Cantopop.
Cantopop is a style of popular music that emerged during the 1970s. It was
influenced by Western folk rock music of the 1970s, and is set up in a rock band
layout with heavy use of electronic instruments, such as the electric guitar and
synthesizer. Perhaps the most famous Cantopop singer of all time, Teresa Tang,
emerged during the 1980s. Her music touched the hearts of people all over the world,
and caused the Communist regime in China to shift their policy of music from just
supporting government propaganda to include expressing individual emotions. Since
then, many Cantonese pop singers have emerged and this genre remains famous even
today.
While some musicians used Western genres, such as Western pop music and jazz, as
the basis of their music, other musicians stuck with the traditional Chinese music
style while adding Western elements to it. Due to the popularity of Western music in
China, the popularity of traditional Chinese music diminished, and many traditional
Chinese musicians were afraid that traditional music would eventually fade away.

Analysis Of The Article Notes On A Politics Of Location...
In Adrienne Rich s article Notes towards a Politics of Location, Rich argues that
positionality is a way of understanding how power and privilege affect perspective. I
am in agreement with Rich that recognizing one s own politics of location is a useful
starting point for feminist theory. Rich s main arguments are that the US education
system failed to provide an adequate retelling of world histories, that white feminism
is ignorant of its privileges, and that through the awareness and inclusion of racial
movements can feminist theory grow. I will also compare Rich s article to Simone
de Beauvoir s first chapter, Biological Data from her book The Second Sex, and to
Judith Butlers article Performative Acts and GenderConstitution: An Essay in
Phenomenology and Feminist Theory. Lastly, I will explain how Rich s article is
valuable to myself, to the WOMN 2000 Feminist Thought course, and in broader
social contexts. Rich effectively argues that white feminism recreates the power
structures feminism seeks to disassemble.
Rich maintains that white feminism begins with the faulty US education system, or
for this paper s purposes, the North American education system. Rich (1984) contends
that Any United States citizen alive today has been saturated with...the warning that
any collective restructuring of society spells the end of personal freedom....But we
are not invited to consider the butcheries...of white supremacism (p. 220). The lack of
perspective for North Americans
The Kingdoms Of Judah And Israel
The Kingdoms of Judah and Israel from ca. 922 to 586 BCE have a significant
impact not only on the Jewish tradition, but also on the history of Ancient Israel and
its development, therefore it is important to discuss their political structure and
influence. To discuss the political structure and developments of this period
modern scholars refer to as the divided monarchy in Ancient Israel, there must first
be a discussion of the political and religious factors that bring about the unification
and later division of the tribes of Israel. In the Hebrew Bible, various tribes are
depicted as encompassing the land of Canaan prior to a time modern scholars refer
to as the united monarchy, which refers to the rule of King Saul, Davidand Solomon.
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inability of the three great powers of the time, Egypt, Assyria and Babylon, to
exert influence over lesser entities such as the philistines greatly contributed to their
rise in power. The culmination of these events lead to a desire and almost obligation
of political unification under a monarch for the tribes of Israel because their internal
weakness threatened their very existence. Nevertheless, contrary to the depiction in
the Hebrew Bible, the tribes appear to maintain a significant amount of autonomy
during the monarchy, which leads to the demise of the small unified monarchy and
the development of two split kingdoms, Israel and Judah, that is found in I Kings
12. This is a result of increased demands and pressure from King Solomon that would
have escalated if his son Rehoboam came to power over the lands of Israel. However,
many scholars such as Beth Alpert Nakhai, attest that hints of disunity between Judah
and other tribes were present through rebellions in David and Solomon s reigns.
Therefore, leaders of the various tribes elected to anoint a new king over their lands
that would politically unite them enough to protect them from outside threats, while
still maintaining their relative autonomy over their own tribes, making the kingdom
of Israel a dispersed state with various religious and political centers. On the other
hand, the kingdom of Judah maintained not only unity
Masculinity In Straw Dogs
The Cornwall of Sam Peckinpah s Straw Dogs is a realm of curdled, steroidal
masculinity. The men of this remote southwest portion of the U.K. appear to come
in three flavors: under employed, consistently drunk ruffians, who re all cock and
rage; intellectuals, who re as resentful as the ruffians beneath their white collar
gentility; and the feebly emasculated, as embodied by the village idiot, Henry
(David Warner), who has a history of molesting children and who s treated by the
local girls as a pet. Henry embodies the extremity of desire that s crippling the men
of Cornwall, as he can t have what he badly wants, and this stifling of urges
symbolically castrates him until he explodes in a torrent of confusion, setting off the
film s primary conflict.
The women, of which there are three in the entire film, embody two types: the
frustrated housewife and the tart, which overlap at least once. Amy (Susan George)
is married to an American mathematician, David (Dustin Hoffman). Having grown up

his retreat from society and his marriage, as well as his insistence in living in his

Two Types Of Deterrence
Deterrence uses the theory of free will, that a person chooses to commit crimes
because the benefits of it outweigh the costs. Deterrence is an approach of crime
control that tries to eliminate crime by the threat of a punishment that will exceed the
benefits of crime. Individuals with this philosophy think that if they make the
punishments of crimelook so bad, that people will veer away from crime because
they don t want to be punished.
There are two types of deterrence, general and specific deterrence. General
deterrence is a type of deterrence aimed at society as a whole. For example,
documentaries and other forms of media give the general public a perception of
life in prison as being not that appealing, which in theory will deter them from
committing crime because they don t want to go to prison. The other type of
deterrence, specific deterrence is aimed at the individual and its goal is to
discourage them from future criminal acts. For example, a person who has served
time in prison may be deterred from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the book states on page 83, deterrence relies on certainty, celerity, or celerity, and
severity of punishment. Certainty being the likelihood of receiving punishment,
celerity the swiftness of punishment, and severity, the harshness of the punishment.
(Berger, Free, and Searles 2009). As was stated in class, we can only manipulate the
severity of the punishment, the other variables we have no control over. With that
being said, since we cannot control the certainty of swiftness of punishment, it is
harder to deter people from committing crime, because most criminals don t think
they are going to get caught and when they do, punishment often takes months to
years. . Criminals plan to minimize their chances of being caught, therefore harsh
punishment is not enough to deter them (O Brien
Spatial Divisions Of Labor Summary
A central feature of capitalism is its tendency to concentrate resources and wealth
in one region while leaving another barren. Spatial structures which feature
headquarters in a metropolitan area and branch out industrial manufacturing to
rural areas facilitate a transfer of wealth to urban centers. This leaves the rural
branch locations dependent on the jobs provided by white collar workers in cities.
Massey s idea of uneven development is critical to understanding the rise of
populism in the west. As automation eliminates jobs concentrated in what Massey
regards as branch locations, anger is sparked which prompts displaced workers to
vote for populist causes. Doreen Massey explains the process of how spatial
structures create uneven development in her book Spatial Divisions of Labor.
Massey holds that structures of dominance and subordination are determined by the
way that production is organized over space. This occurs through a process that
concentrates specific components of the production processes in certain regions;
this explains why one region may only have blue collar manufacturing jobs while
another is characterized by manual labor, white collar jobs. This division of labor
among regions increases profits in certain locations, just as the division of labor...

Blue collar workers become reliant on the dominance of a metropolitan headquarters
to provide jobs. This is due to the fact that certain parts of the functions of economic
ownership and possession are missing, or controlled externally. Manufacturing
communities are dependent on their jobs in industry, as they do not own parts of the
production process. Thus, the elimination of their small role in the production
process could devastate the entire community. Contrastingly, metropolitan areas are
resilient in the face of economic change, as headquarters located in metropolitan areas

In which the voted ballot is transmitted over the public internet through web
browser[1]. The voter can directly vote online from anywhere in the world. Security
is the major issue in the Online VotingSystem[6]. It is very efficient and portable.
Advantages of Online Voting System[6]:
It is very much portable system as the system works on internet only the internet
supporting device is required. It is very fast as compare to traditional paper ballot
voting system. The voter doesn t need to wait in long queue for voting. He /She can
cast their vote just on a single click This system gives the freedom of casting the
vote from anywhere in country. This is beneficial for the voters who are regularly
out of station. .
Disadvantages of Online Voting System[6]:
The designing phase of this system is highly complex. As the system has deal with
large number of users and has to maintain huge database The whole system operates
over the internet which makes the system more susceptible to online threats so the
security issue is the main concern of this system. This system is very much costlier

Various woks have been done on OFDM. In OFDM, as all the carriers are added
using an IFFT operation, this may lead to a signal with large peaks and dynamic
range in time domain. For an OFDM signal x (t), High value of PAPR is a serious
concern when OFDM signal passes through nonlinear devices such as in 4G systems
where OFDM is a downlink method and on board high power amplifiers have non
linear input output characteristics at high power values.
Reduction of peak to average power ratio is always a concern for researchers. Various
methods have been implemented to reduce PAPR like clipping and filtering,
companding, SLM, PTS, tone injection, tone reservation, active constellation
extension and coding.
A large PAPR would drive PAs at the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For M phase sequences [log2M], side N log 2 N information bits are required. In
SLM, an N point IFFT involves 2 complex N log 2 N multiplications and additions;
these are increased by a factor of L if oversampling is performed. Computational
complexity, PAPR reduction capability and avoiding SI are the major issues
associated with SLM. Various schemes are available in literature to modify SLM.
A scheme is proposed for removing SI in SLM where phase sequence could be
easily decoded at the receiver after a level is inserted with each candidate as an
identifier tag and scrambling is used to avoid any direct manipulation of SI at the
receiver. Here only a small amount of redundancy increases the cost of hardware
implementation. In this scheme removal of SI is not proposed, only
representation is changed. A magnitude scaled SLM method is proposed, where a
set of envelope function derived from Walsh sequences is used to scale the power
profile of OFDM signal and at the receiver envelope function along with a detection
matrix could easily identify the used phase at the transmitter. Another scheme
proposed use of m sequences for detection of SI at the receiver but at transmitter SI
is embedded in the sequences with the help of block partitioning and rotation, at the
receiver cyclic shifting of m sequences which are derived from a Walsh Hadamard
matrix is used to choose phase factor. A lot of computations are required to choose
best candidate for

  • 1. Arguments Against Capital Punishment Essay Crafting an essay on the topic "Arguments Against Capital Punishment" presents a challenging task that demands a delicate balance between emotional sensitivity and logical reasoning. The subject is inherently contentious, evoking strong opinions on both sides, making it intricate to navigate through the plethora of perspectives. Addressing the ethical, moral, legal, and societal dimensions requires a comprehensive understanding of the intricate web of factors that contribute to the discourse. To begin, delving into the historical context of capital punishment and its evolution over time is essential. Analyzing its implementation across different societies and legal systems adds layers of complexity, demanding a nuanced approach. As one explores the moral objections, considerations of human rights, and the potential for judicial errors, the writer must navigate through a maze of intricacies. Constructing a compelling argument against capital punishment requires a meticulous examination of statistical data, case studies, and scholarly research. The writer needs to synthesize information from various sources to present a cohesive and persuasive narrative. Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and anticipating rebuttals demands an extra layer of intellectual rigor, as this topic tends to evoke strong convictions on both sides. The emotional weight attached to capital punishment necessitates a tactful approach, acknowledging the gravity of the subject without succumbing to overt emotionalism. Balancing empathy for the victims and their families with a critical analysis of the system's flaws is a tightrope walk that the essayist must navigate with finesse. • 2. Essay On Family Guy What is your favorite Family Guy character? One of the comedic geniuses of this animated show is the way that they provide characterization for each of the main members of the Griffin family. Lois, Peter, Brian, Stewie, Meg and Chris all have unique personalities and the show capitalizes on that for their comedy. Peter Peter is a bumbling blue collar worker who is always engaging in a variety of wacky situations. He is only moderately intelligent. The show often focuses on an issue that Peter has in some regard. Lois Lois is Peter s wife and comes from a very wealthy family. She is more intelligent and has more common sense than Peter. Meg Meg is the daughter of Peter and Lois. She is socially awkward and does not have very many friends.
  • 3. Examine Eliot s treatment of women in Prufrock, Preludes,... Examine Eliot s treatment of women in Prufrock, Preludes, Portrait of a Lady and Rhapsody on a Windy Night In all four of the poems; Prufrock , Preludes , Portrait of a Lady and Rhapsody on a Windy Night , Eliot makes references to women. Eliot seems to treat women almost as objects to either be looked at with wonder and, at times, fascination or as objects to be scorned upon. In all of the poems Eliot makes the voice of the poem slightly distanced from the women and this, to me, makes the women seem almost untouchable. When looking at the poem Prufrock we must first notice that the full title is The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock. This title seems almost ironic as, after reading the poem, we realise that the poem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Portrait of a Lady has a very dramatic structure a one sided dialogue, in which the lady speaks and her visitor silently comments ably shows us Eliot s clear views in this poem about women, and in Portrait of a Lady the tone suggests that he feels women are false note(s). The dialogue of the woman is very pretentious with lines such as So intimate, this Chopin, that I think his soul / Should be resurrected only among friends and Without these friendships life, what cauchemar! By having the lady speak French Eliot suggests that he perceives this woman to be trying too hard and this makes us think of the woman as if she is putting on a mask rather than being herself; this is one of the main themes which is interwoven into Eliot s poetry. The poem Preludes portrays women in a very different light to Prufrock and Portrait of a Lady . • 25. Wilson And La Folette Wilson explained the need for U.S. entrance into the war by stating that remaining neutral was no longer an option if world peace, justice, and individuals freedoms were threatened. According to him, the menace that threatened these precious principles involved autocratic governments backed by organized force which is controlled wholly by their will, not by the will of their people (Wilson 1917). With this mindset, Wilson justified that Americans ultimately fought for the security of democracy, the principle in which their nation was built on. As a result, U.S. involvement would encompass securing the peace of the world and affirming the rights of individuals and nations to practice self determination. 4. However, increasing aggression from Germany (sinking neutral ships without warning such as the Lusitania) progressively turned the American public against them; the Zimmerman Telegram in particular sparked great outcry. As a result, many supported the declaration of war during this point in time. In contrast, La Folette s speech reflected others anti war sentiments. Referendums sent to La Folette indicated opposition from different groups across the country, notably from German Americans and reformers. He used the results of these referendums to claim that the federal government waged war despite not having popular support. As a Progressive, La Folette himself disputed Wilson s speech, believing that the war would take attention away from domestic reforms. In addition to this, he criticized American leniency towards British violations despite claims of neutrality by arguing, Any neutral nation, in order to preserve its character as a neutral nation, must exact the same conduct from both warring nations; both must equally obey the principles of international law. Furthermore, he detected hypocrisy in declaring war in the name of democracy yet working with an imperialist nation since Wilson did not intend for Britain to grant its colonies
  • 26. The Notion Of Purchasing Power Parity A.Discuss the notion of purchasing power parity (PPP) (10 marks) 300 words Purchasing power parity (PPP) was developed as the theory of exchange rate determination, which was the basis for the relationship between product price levels and exchange rates and is now primarily used to compare living standards across countries (CFA, 2015). The foundation version of PPP was based on the assumption that identical goods should trade at the same price across countries when valued in terms of a common currency. This is known as the law of one price and derived from the no arbitrage assumption (Dornbush, 1985; Taylor and Taylor, 2004; CFA, 2015). It means that a bundle of goods and services would cost the same in two countries when the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Absolute PPP is the extended version of the law of one price with all goods and services consumed in different countries instead of one single good (CFA, 2015). Absolute PPP is expressed as ( ). The absolute PPP asserts that the current spot rate is determined by the ratio of national price levels, although like the one price theory struggles in actual application (Alba and Papell, 2007; Alessandria, and Kaboski, 2011). An example of the average price for a Big Mac was $4.79 in January 2015 in the US whereas at market exchange rate in China it was only $2.77, showing that China yuan is undervalued compared to US dollar. This has reduced the Absolute PPP s usefulness as the theory of exchange rate determination. On the other hand, the Relative and Ex Ante PPP implies that exchanged rate between two countries is affected by their inflation rates and expressed as (CFA, 2015). In the long run, the relative PPP predicts that countries with a low inflation rate have currency s that tend to appreciate and conversely with countries that have a high inflation rate; and the % change in exchange rate will equal the % difference in national inflation rates (Baffes, 1991; Taylor and Taylor, 2004). Although shot term, nominal exchange rates could be volatile but over the long run will tend to gravitate toward PPP equilibrium values (Yotopoulos and Sawada, 2006; Papell and Prodan, 2006). Hence PPP could be seen as a vale

Even though I have many of them here are some of them but first let me tell you a little about me. My birthday is in February. I have one sister and one dog. I love to go outside and play with friends or play sports outside. I play baseball for Thunder Academy and soccer for Broomfield Soccer Club. First, I will explain my successes. My first successis sports.I love to play sports. I play soccer and baseballlike I said before. It is a success for me is because if I have stress which is very rare for me but it help relieve that stress from me so I can not loose sleep. Also, sports is a success for me because I have fun doing it and I am getting outside. Like some people just sit inside playing video games. It is one of my hobbies so I have fun doing it. Another success for me is, getting good grades. Last year I got all threes and fours and like 2 twos. This was one of my goals last year and I achieved it by working really hard in class. I tried my hardest to focus in class, pay attention to all directions and complete all of my homework on time. I ended up at the end of the year getting honor roll which I was excited about when I got honor roll because that day I just realized that I had completed my goal. The last goal definitely not all of my successes but last one for the paragraph is, making a team for sports team. I made the top team for soccer in the soccer club so I was excited for that and
  • 30. Aristophanes Is The Father Of Old Comedy Aristophanes is the father of old comedy (K.J Dover). Cicero speaks of him as the most facetious poet of the old comedy . Aristophanes wrote in a specific genre of literature that Vector Ehrenberg named Old Attic Comedy (1) which was composed and performed in Athens during the fifth and fourth centuries BC. The exact beginning of the Attic Comedy(1) is scarcely known but the word comedy is derived from a Greek word komodia that means singing and dancing. In the introduction to Aristophanes3, Ralph M. Rosen has explained the origin of this word: Komodia means a komos song where the komos refers to a group of men, often costumed, who entertained audiences with song and dance at various festive occasions (9). He seems to have been the first to transform comedy, which was still wondering erratically in its early stages of development, into something more morally serious and worthwhile (23). Aristophanes extant comedies are a social, political and literal rendering. Although tragedy was also performed at that time, it does not tell us about socio political matters because of its formal structure and extravagant diction. Comedy performed that function conveniently. Rosen indicates comic diction was far less formal and stylized than tragedy. Old comedy, therefore, could reflect... Next, we will look at Twain s ability to use literary techniques such as making your story reflect the dialect that he was trying to target to help sell his short stories, and how Twain was a pure genesis at crafting this literary technique to a tee. Finally, we will see how the events going on during the late 1800 s affected Twain s writing, and how Twain writing could be seen as writing of that time period. Essay on Western Influence on Chinese Music Western Influence on Chinese Music China has long been the cultural hub of Asia, and has had the longest amount of contact of any Asian country with other Western countries. Ever since the Silk Road was established, China has been trading with other Western countries and exchanging aspects of their cultures with one another. One of these aspects is music. But how exactly has Western music influenced Chinese music? In order to understand this, we must look at the history of Western encounters with China in terms of music. European music was first introduced into China during the thirteenth century, which was part of the Yuan dynasty of China. She and the Chinese pop music industry flourished in China until the 1950s, when the Communist regime led by Mao took over. Pop music was replaced with revolutionary music with government propaganda, which caused the pop industry to move to Taiwan and Hong Kong. This new musical presence in Hong Kong indirectly led to the creation of Cantonese popular music, also known as Cantopop. Cantopop is a style of popular music that emerged during the 1970s. It was influenced by Western folk rock music of the 1970s, and is set up in a rock band layout with heavy use of electronic instruments, such as the electric guitar and synthesizer. Perhaps the most famous Cantopop singer of all time, Teresa Tang, emerged during the 1980s. Her music touched the hearts of people all over the world, and caused the Communist regime in China to shift their policy of music from just supporting government propaganda to include expressing individual emotions. Since then, many Cantonese pop singers have emerged and this genre remains famous even today. While some musicians used Western genres, such as Western pop music and jazz, as the basis of their music, other musicians stuck with the traditional Chinese music style while adding Western elements to it. Due to the popularity of Western music in China, the popularity of traditional Chinese music diminished, and many traditional Chinese musicians were afraid that traditional music would eventually fade away. In Adrienne Rich s article Notes towards a Politics of Location, Rich argues that positionality is a way of understanding how power and privilege affect perspective. I am in agreement with Rich that recognizing one s own politics of location is a useful starting point for feminist theory. Rich s main arguments are that the US education system failed to provide an adequate retelling of world histories, that white feminism is ignorant of its privileges, and that through the awareness and inclusion of racial movements can feminist theory grow. I will also compare Rich s article to Simone de Beauvoir s first chapter, Biological Data from her book The Second Sex, and to Judith Butlers article Performative Acts and GenderConstitution: An Essay in Phenomenology and Feminist Theory. Lastly, I will explain how Rich s article is valuable to myself, to the WOMN 2000 Feminist Thought course, and in broader social contexts. Rich effectively argues that white feminism recreates the power structures feminism seeks to disassemble. Rich maintains that white feminism begins with the faulty US education system, or for this paper s purposes, the North American education system. Rich (1984) contends that Any United States citizen alive today has been saturated with...the warning that any collective restructuring of society spells the end of personal freedom....But we are not invited to consider the butcheries...of white supremacism (p. 220). The Kingdoms Of Judah And Israel The Kingdoms of Judah and Israel from ca. 922 to 586 BCE have a significant impact not only on the Jewish tradition, but also on the history of Ancient Israel and its development, therefore it is important to discuss their political structure and influence. To discuss the political structure and developments of this period modern scholars refer to as the divided monarchy in Ancient Israel, there must first be a discussion of the political and religious factors that bring about the unification and later division of the tribes of Israel. In the Hebrew Bible, various tribes are depicted as encompassing the land of Canaan prior to a time modern scholars refer to as the united monarchy, which refers to the rule of King Saul, Davidand Solomon. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The inability of the three great powers of the time, Egypt, Assyria and Babylon, to exert influence over lesser entities such as the philistines greatly contributed to their rise in power. The culmination of these events lead to a desire and almost obligation of political unification under a monarch for the tribes of Israel because their internal weakness threatened their very existence. Nevertheless, contrary to the depiction in the Hebrew Bible, the tribes appear to maintain a significant amount of autonomy during the monarchy, which leads to the demise of the small unified monarchy and the development of two split kingdoms, Israel and Judah, that is found in I Kings 12. This is a result of increased demands and pressure from King Solomon that would have escalated if his son Rehoboam came to power over the lands of Israel. However, many scholars such as Beth Alpert Nakhai, attest that hints of disunity between Judah and other tribes were present through rebellions in David and Solomon s reigns. Therefore, leaders of the various tribes elected to anoint a new king over their lands that would politically unite them enough to protect them from outside threats, while still maintaining their relative autonomy over their own tribes, making the kingdom of Israel a dispersed state with various religious and political centers. On the other hand, the kingdom of Judah maintained not only unity

  • 38. Two Types Of Deterrence Deterrence uses the theory of free will, that a person chooses to commit crimes because the benefits of it outweigh the costs. Deterrence is an approach of crime control that tries to eliminate crime by the threat of a punishment that will exceed the benefits of crime. Individuals with this philosophy think that if they make the punishments of crimelook so bad, that people will veer away from crime because they don t want to be punished. There are two types of deterrence, general and specific deterrence. General deterrence is a type of deterrence aimed at society as a whole. For example, documentaries and other forms of media give the general public a perception of life in prison as being not that appealing, which in theory will deter them from committing crime because they don t want to go to prison. The other type of deterrence, specific deterrence is aimed at the individual and its goal is to discourage them from future criminal acts. As was stated in class, we can only manipulate the severity of the punishment, the other variables we have no control over. With that being said, since we cannot control the certainty of swiftness of punishment, it is harder to deter people from committing crime, because most criminals don t think they are going to get caught and when they do, punishment often takes months to years. . Criminals plan to minimize their chances of being caught, therefore harsh punishment is not enough to deter them (O Brien
  • 39. Spatial Divisions Of Labor Summary A central feature of capitalism is its tendency to concentrate resources and wealth in one region while leaving another barren. Spatial structures which feature headquarters in a metropolitan area and branch out industrial manufacturing to rural areas facilitate a transfer of wealth to urban centers. This leaves the rural branch locations dependent on the jobs provided by white collar workers in cities. Massey s idea of uneven development is critical to understanding the rise of populism in the west. As automation eliminates jobs concentrated in what Massey regards as branch locations, anger is sparked which prompts displaced workers to vote for populist causes. Doreen Massey explains the process of how spatial structures create uneven development in her book Spatial Divisions of Labor. Massey holds that structures of dominance and subordination are determined by the way that production is organized over space. This occurs through a process that concentrates specific components of the production processes in certain regions; this explains why one region may only have blue collar manufacturing jobs while another is characterized by manual labor, white collar jobs. This division of labor among regions increases profits in certain locations, just as the division of labor... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Computational complexity, PAPR reduction capability and avoiding SI are the major issues associated with SLM. Various schemes are available in literature to modify SLM. A scheme is proposed for removing SI in SLM where phase sequence could be easily decoded at the receiver after a level is inserted with each candidate as an identifier tag and scrambling is used to avoid any direct manipulation of SI at the receiver. Here only a small amount of redundancy increases the cost of hardware implementation. In this scheme removal of SI is not proposed, only representation is changed.
