A Critical Reading
Critical reading involves analyzing a text to understand not just what is explicitly stated but also how the author conveys their message and any potential biases. There are three types of analysis: restatement is simply restating what a text says, description is stating what a text does, and inference uses clues to deduce what a text implies beyond just the words.
