The Native American culture is the original culture of the United States. Members of Native American
tribes live throughout the country. There are an estimated 4.9 million persons, in 565 federally
recognized tribes who are classified as American Indian or Alaska Native (AI/AI), alone or in
combination with one or more other designated racial classifications. This demographic group
compromises 1.6% of the U.S. population (Horowitz, 2012). Wisconsin is home to the Ho Chunk
(Winnebago), Ojibwa (Chippewa), and the Potawatomi tribes ( American , 2014). It is important for
nurses within this state, as well as any other state, to understand the Native American belief system in
order to provide a quality healthcare experience. Nurses are the primary point of contact in the
healthcare setting. Client advocacy is one of the nurse s major roles. Therefore, the nurse should have
the highest level of diversity understanding for the cultures within the local region.

1880 s just as electricity is starting to play a role in people s everyday lives. It takes place in the home
of Dr. and Mrs. Catherine Givings, which also serves as the home of Dr. Givings medical practice.
Mrs. Givings has just had newborn child who she cares for while her husbands attend to patients with
hysteria, namely Mrs. Sabrina Daldry. A new treatment involving an electric machine, a vibrator in
today s terms, is used to help Dr. Givings patients. As the play unfolds so does the Givings marriage

The anterior teats of a sow are generally preferred by piglets. On average, anterior teats yield more
colostrum which contain the antibodies needed to protect the newborn piglets from disease (Fraser and

immunoglobulins decreases after birth, it is important for piglets to suckle and obtain as much
colostrum as possible (Wennberg, 2012). Previous studies have shown that piglets suckling from
anterior teats have greater chances of survival as well as larger weight gains (Orijuela and Solano,
1995). A problem, however, is that with only a few anterior teats, there is competition between
littermates for the better teats. With competition present, the piglets rely on certain advantageous traits
that make them better able to compete for the better teat. The larger piglets have an advantage over

interfere with hunting and fishing rights on the Indians land which had been secured in previous
treaties. In addition, settlements were made in the 1970s that paid damages to tribes whose land had
been illegally seized by whites. However, there were still other issues that needed to be solved during
this time. The most important issues were those of social rights, self autonomy, and cultural freedom.

Tech. Project aims at introducing biometric capable technology for use in automating the entire
attendance system for the students pursuing courses at an educational institute. The goal can be
disintegrated into finer sub targets; fingerprint capture transfer, fingerprint image processing and
wireless transfer of data in a server client system. For each sub task, various methods from literature
are analyzed. From the study of the entire process, an integrated approach is proposed.
Biometrics based technologies are supposed to be very efficient personal identifiers as they can keep
track of characteristics believed to be unique to each person. Among these technologies, Fingerprint
recognition is universally applied. It extracts minutia based features from scanned images of
fingerprints made by the different ridges on the fingertips.
The student attendance system is very relevant in an institute like ours since it aims at eliminating all

the hassles of roll calling and malpractice and promises a full proof as well as reliable technique of

This week s article over the knight s armament M110 a new breed of sniper rifle s . This rifle would be
is essentially a AR 10 but would take on the advancements of the M16A2 rifle and maintain 60% parts
compatibility. Released in the early 1990s, the SR 25 Match Rifle was equipped with a 24 inch
Remington 5R match grade barrel the same barrel blanks used on the M24 sniper rifle. The heavy
barrel was free floating with a fiberglass handguard. This rifle is equipped with a flat top upper

some, instead of synapsing at the LGN, end at other brain regions, such as the hypothalamus, the

signals are a part of the visual system that does not involve cognitive vision. Since V1 is the main area
for cognitive vision, damage to this area is what has been found to cause what we now call blindsight
(de Gelder, B. 2010). Moreover, blindsight, which used to be known as residual vision, has been
studied and defined as a person who cannot cognitively see, but is still able to detect objects
subconsciously with their secondary visual locations. In the study of the person known as LN, the
subject was still able to avoid objects when walking through a hall with obstructions in his path,
although he was reported to be incapable of seeing. This remarkable behavior is associated to the
superior colliculus, which is part of the visual system, but is not active in cognitive vision. There are
also other properties associated with blindsight, including lines, simple shapes, movement, color, the
orientation of a line, and emotion (de Gelder, B. 2010). When there is damage to the visual system, the
