Learning Objectives
Student will be able to:
1. Identify the vocabulary that use in asking and
giving direction
2. Convey the meaning of asking and giving direction
correctly
3. Asking and giving direction correctly
4. Encourage asking and giving directions in English
5. Raise students communicative skills
Materials Handouts and maps
Procedure Objectives Time
Step 1:
a. The teacher introduces the topic by
showing the Students a and asking
questions e.g.
What’ this?
Have you ever needed or used a map?
Why do we usually need a map?
b. Predicting/Guessing:
Students are asked to make guesses
about the purpose of the lesson, e.g.
What are we going to talk about today?
 This warm-up task aims to
motivate students by
creating expectations

Step 2:
Students are given the material and the
teachers explain the material.
Have you got the asking and giving direction
text?
Bundaran in English is….
 To enrich the students’
vocabularies

Step 4:
Teachers gives games based on the maps that
show in front of the class to the students and
students will answer it voluntarily.
 To check the students’
comprehension
 To motivate the students

Step 5:
Students work in pairs to make the dialogues
and do role play based on the dialogues that
they have made.
 To motivate students by
giving visual aids
 To check student’s
comprehension
 To encourage
communication

Step 6:
The selected groups do the role play in
front of the class. Teacher gives feedback.
The role play was good.
You should improve your grammar, its sound
like Indonesian.

Why do we usually need a map? b. Predicting/Guessing: Students are asked to make guesses about the purpose of the lesson, e.g. What are we going to talk about today?  This warm-up task aims to motivate students by creating expectations 5 Min Step 2: Students are given the material and the teachers explain the material.
